I'm obsessed with Amy. I had a vision for what I wanted for my wedding day, but never imagined that I could get EXACTLY what I wanted from my Pinterest board, if not better. After leaving my hair trial with Amy, I was more excited for my wedding than I had been throughout the entire planning process. We all know how it goes, you bring in pictures of what you want to look like for events, and then you get a tighter, crunchier version. Amy does hair that BECOMES the inspiration pics. It's airy, effortless, boho and gorgeous. And the craziest thing is how fast she is. She creates these looks in such a short amount of time, and they last all day. Amy also helped me throughout the process, as I was getting a custom head piece made for my day. She helped me pick the material, and hyped me up when I sent her the progress pics. On top of it all- she was just so fun to be around. She was such a hype girl and such a fun, sweet and casual energy to have on the morning of my wedding day. I loved spending time with her, and I attribute my wedding "vibe" whole heartedly to her and her brilliance. -

Wedding hair
Amy was so professional but most importantly creative. She was able to help me with hair extensions as I don’t live in SC and sent me a sample to try. She translated exactly how I wanted to look and the effect made me feel more beautiful than I have ever felt. She was calm and on time, do not hesitate to book her brilliance. I only wished I lived closer! -

Amy is the BEST! From the get-go, Amy got me excited about my wedding hair, asking questions that helped me figure out what style I wanted. As someone who feels self conscious about my thin hair, she assured me she could still make me look and feel fabulous - which she did! She helped me pick out affordable extensions, going out of her way to send me color samples since I am out of state. She prepped my extensions ahead of time so that they were in the best shape come wedding day. She takes pride in her work and pays close attention to detail, however I was impressed with how quickly she was able to do each person's hair! I got so many compliments about my bridal hair that day, and I felt great :)
Her booking process was also very easy and organized - the online portal made it simple to make adjustments to the number of people in my party, make payments, and other updates. Amy's style, fun personality, and professionalism are all selling points as to why you should book with her! I'm thankful to her for making my hair one less thing to stress about -

Amy is AMAZING!! As a wedding vendor myself, I see so many hair stylists all the time. But choosing the perfect one for my rehearsal dinner and wedding day wasn't hard at all. I knew Amy was amazing by just looking at her work. And to add to that, she has the best personality, and I'm happy to now call her a friend. She really listened to what I wanted, and we even changed it up a bit on the day of my wedding from my bridal trial. All of my bridesmaids LOVED their hair and were raving about Amy and how fun she was. She is also very gentle with your hair and doesn't tug or pull at all. My hair doesn't stay curled for long, but Amy said she figured out the perfect combo for my hair, and let me tell you, those curls stayed ALL day and night!! I was so obsessed with my wedding day hair, I couldn't even believe that was MY hair?! Brides, book Amy now for your wedding hair before she's booked up! You will feel so beautiful on your big day, no doubt!! -

Amy is the BEST!
Amy is the absolute best hair stylist ever! She was so flexible and really worked with me to choose a style that was realistic for all of my thick hair and the heat of a June wedding day. My girls and mom all loved their hair as well. Amy truly can recreate any look you want, but adds her own flair which makes it that much better. I wish she could do my hair every day🥹 she is also such a fun time to have around while getting ready! Can’t recommend her enough!!! -

AMY is hands down the best hairstylist you could choose for your wedding- she has the best energy and is remarkably talented. I could not be more thankful that I chose her to do my hair for my wedding weekend. You need Amy for not only wedding day but for every bridal/wedding event- you will NOT regret it! She aced every hairstyle that my bridal party wanted and everyone was absolutely obsessed with their hair and felt so confident. My friends haven’t stopped talking about how much they loved their hair! Amy is not only insanely talented, but she is so kind and is such a lovely person! Also, if you’re interested in extensions but don’t know where to start, Amy matched me for them/ordered them/styled them for me for my rehearsal dinner look! She was truly the best and you have to use her for your wedding!!! -

Amy is fun, sweet, talented and overall AMAZING!
I was so happy that I chose Amy Loope as my hair stylist for my wedding day. She was so fun to talk to during house visits for my trials leading up to the big day. She was beyond patient with me as I continually changed my mind on what vision I had all the way up to my wedding day (perfectionist problems LOL!). She even trimmed my hair when I freaked out that my extensions were too long with my dress the morning of my wedding. All of my bridesmaids' hair styles looked beautiful and fit the boho vision for my wedding. Overall she is an absolute GEM of a stylist and I recommend her to all of my friends! -

Amy was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Having a wedding that was rescheduled multiple times due to COVID meant working with more than the usual number of vendors and Amy was unmatched! She was so kind, communicative, talented, and FUN to work with! She made fabulous recommendations of other vendors and went out of her way to make sure each step of the process was seamless. -

A Literal Dream Come True
There's no two people I could've trusted more on my wedding day than Amy and Jo! They are the sweetest humans and one of the biggest reasons I felt so comfortable the whole day. I first reached out to Amy almost two years before our date and she graciously agreed to do my trial a year out from the wedding so I could try it out for our engagement pictures. After my trial I didn't think I could be more in love with Amy and Jo's work, but fast forward one year later to our wedding day and somehow it was even more perfect. Amy and Jo radiate such positive energy and made getting ready with 5 bridesmaids, my mom, and MIL so stress-free. They worked so quickly and still everyone's hair and makeup stayed PERFECT all day, even with the wind (truly my curls have never lasted this long)!!! I've heard so many people say they dislike their wedding pictures because they don't like the way their hair looked, but when I saw our pictures I couldn't stop smiling because I loved every single detail. Not only did everyone look beautiful, but more importantly we all felt our best. I couldn't be more thankful for these two and know anyone who gets the chance to work with them will be as lucky as I was -

Working with Amy was a delight! She is super communicative and easy to work with during the scheduling and planning process. And, of course, she is fantastic with hair! Amy did my hair perfectly for my trial (it was exactly what I was looking for!), and it was just as great the day of the wedding. Amy was also a super calming presence on the morning of the wedding. She did the hair for me (the bride) + 8 bridesmaids the morning of the wedding, and everyone was done beautifully and right on time! I cannot recommend Amy highly enough!! -

I am SO thankful to have had Amy (and Jo!) be a part of my wedding day. They are the most lovely people and are true artists, so gracious even as we had to pivot our getting ready plans to a different location becuase of covid. After my trial there were a few (very small) things I wanted to tweak, and Amy executed it absolutely flawlessly! Our wedding day in late June got unexpectedly hot and yet my hair and makeup looked fresh at 10pm after hours of sweat and dancing. One of my bridesmaids even mentioned that she liked her hair even better for my wedding than she did for her own! Do NOT hesitate to work with Amy if you're lucky enough to have her available on your date - you will not regret it!!! -

Amy was the second vendor I booked after our venue because I fell in love with her style after scrolling through her Instagram. She is prompt, professional, and so kind and fun to be around. I felt the most beautiful I've ever felt on my wedding day and that's all thanks to her. She was super flexible when I wanted to do a second trial after growing out my hair and made sure that I didn't leave until every piece was perfectly placed. She made my hair look like what you see on Pinterest or wedding Insta accounts - she's that talented! She also has an amazing team. Amy and Josephine did an absolutely incredible job on our hair and makeup for our 5.22.21 wedding at Big Spring Farm in Lexington, VA!! I knew I wanted natural makeup and hair for myself and bridesmaids, and wanted us to look and feel like ourselves. They did just that and we could not have been happier with how everything turned out. Everyone looked stunning! Beyond the hair and makeup, they are extremely prompt, patient, and professional. They listen to what you want, execute it flawlessly, and are just so easy and fun to work with. Amy was also very accommodating when it came to scheduling and changing around my makeup trial time because we were trying to dodge bad weather before our engagement photos. I cannot say enough great things about working with these vendors and how great they made us look. I felt so beautiful for both the engagement photos and our wedding day and would never have wanted anyone else (once I found Studio 321 I didn’t look anywhere else and if you’re reading this please do yourself a favor and do the same!) They are the BEST! -

Amy is INCREDIBLE! I was drawn to book her based on her beautiful, boho looks with loose curls and braids. I started gathering inspiration photos for my own wedding day look, and I can confidently say she made my Mermaid-Meets-Elsa-From-Frozen Pinterest dreams come true. Not only that, but she's an incredibly sweet human whose energy you absolutely want around you on your wedding day. She and her teammate knocked out 10 services ahead of schedule, yet still gave every one of my bridesmaids amazing, individual attention and made THEIR Pinterest dreams come true too - which meant the world to me. I couldn't recommend Amy & her hair artistry more -

Studio 321 Gave Me Confidence
I had a trial run at a local salon in my hometown but it did not go well. The hair did not match what I had showed the dresser from my phone, a Pinterest screenshot, and the makeup was. . . something else, to say the least. My venue was a couple of hours away from my home and I asked my wedding planner for recommendations closer to the venue. Studio 321 was among them. After research and looking at Instagram photos, I decided to go with Studio 321 for my big day.
The trial run was mandatory and a little pricey but it was well worth it. My makeup was beautiful and my hair was exactly as I imagined. I knew that I would go to sleep without any worries about how I'd look on my wedding day. Amy is so talented with styling and easy to talk to. Sara was an amazing makeup artist. She used a foundation airbrush, which I found impressive.
The studio is light and airy, if you choose to have your hair and makeup done there. The parking garage is right across the street. Free on weekends. Amy et al will be waiting for you with a big smile and congratulations. I brought my mother, aunt and two cousins to have their hair done too. They enjoyed the sitting area as everyone took turns. Downtown Charlottesville is filled with walkers. It was fun watching all the dogs that passed by. Amy has a jar of dog cookies for such occasions.
I would highly recommend Studio 321. You will definitely be glad to have Amy in charge of your image for your wedding day. Your photos will be stunning. -

Amy could not have done a better job on my hair, she absolutely crushed my look on the first try. She made me confident and comfortable going into my big day knowing that my hair was going to look stunning. It rained on my wedding day, and my curls stayed all night long even through taking photos outside in the rain and dancing for hours. I would highly recommend Amy!! -

Flexible Studio, Amazing Hair!
First off, I was so grateful to Amy for booking us so close to our December 2020 wedding and not batting an eye when I explained I had a friend/bridesmaid doing my hair and I just needed hair for my other bridesmaids. But then, my friend who was doing my hair could no longer come, and Amy was able to adapt to the extra time we planned for her hair to fit me in, and pulled together a stunning look for me on the morning of! Amy is so kind and gracious, and as she did each of our hairstyles that morning we couldn't stop complimenting each other. She helped each of us feel our best for that day. I highly recommend Amy and Studio 321!! -

Amy and team did an amazing job. When I had to move my wedding date due to COVID Studio 321 came in and saved the day! Not only were they professional, they were prompt and cautious with COVID guidelines. Even when I started to slip into bridezilla mode about my hair Amy adjusted my style and calmed my nerves, honestly my wedding day look was exactly like my trial look, and I’m so glad they could duplicate it perfectly. As someone who doesn’t wear a ton of make up I was nervous I’d look cakey or not myself but my wedding day look was far from that. It truly Was perfect and I felt like a princess as cheeses as that sounds. You won’t be disappointed with Studio 321! -

Amy and Josephine were amazing! I booked them to do the hair and makeup for all of my bridesmaids and myself. Everyone looked stunning. Amy was very responsive and flexible during the whole process. Of course my trial and wedding were during Covid times. Amy and Josephine both made sure to wear masks and maintain a clean/sanitary environment.

Amazing!!!
I was so so pleased with the hair and makeup provided by Studio 321. Amy was always so quick to respond to my messages and very flexible when I asked to change my appointment time twice(!). Additionally, I visited during COVID times and felt very safe as Amy and Josephine wore masks the entire time and the studio was clean and spotless. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone looking for friendly, flexible, beautiful hair and makeup for any event! -

Amazing Hair & Makeup
Amy and Jo were such an amazing dynamic duo! They were very flexible with me adding ladies to get hair and makeup done and showed up early! I reached out to Amy about 2 months before my elopement and I am so glad I did! Not only was she flexible with my start time (I think I changed it on her about 4 times), but she was professional, fun, and bubbly! Since I live out of state, I didn't do a hair trial with her, nor did I send a photo of my hair prior to, but boy did she deliver! I was so impressed with her ability to create something beautiful with little direction from me. It was literally perfect! Jo did my makeup at the same time I was getting my hair done, and she was amazing too! I usually don't wear a lot of makeup, so I wanted something natural and light. I knew I'd be outside all day, hiking and exploring Shenandoah, so I needed makeup that would last. She also gave me extra lipstick, which was a life saver after drinking wine and eating lunch at a local winery before our ceremony. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Studio 321 to anyone in the area looking for wedding day hair and makeup. Plus, the studio is really cute too! Thank you again Amy and Jo, you made me look and feel so beautiful on my wedding day! -

The GREATEST H&MU team ever!!!
I truly can’t say enough good things about how amazing Amy and her team is!! Everything was so easy and smooth from the first email I sent her until the end of our wedding day! I had a big bridal party and a short time constraint so I was worried it would be hectic the morning of but it wasn’t at all! Amy and her team worked so fast, we were ahead of schedule and everyone’s hair looked absolutely amazing!! I cannot say enough good things about Amy! She is so incredibly talented and made all my wedding hair dreams come true! I had a larger bridal party and Amy did such an amazing job getting everyone ready in a timely manner and was a pleasure to work with! Amy and Sara did such an incredible job for my look. When booking a hair and makeup team, I was afraid I wouldn't look like myself but I definitely looked like myself x10000. Amy is a MAGICIAN with her hair styling--- she gave me an absolutely effortless, romantic, and chic up-do. Sara did an AMAZING job giving me a naturally radiant look- I can't emphasize this enough: her foundation application is FLAWLESS and GLOWING.
My group decided to get ready on-site (the studio is incredibly cute) and is located right in Downtown Charlottesville. Finally, Amy and Sara have great personalities, and make you feel right at home. I'm so happy I booked them- my day wouldn't have been the same without them. -

Amy and Sara were a dream team when it came to my bridal party’s hair and makeup. Everything was easy from the booking process to the trial and the day of the wedding. We got ready in their downtown studio instead of on site at our wedding venue because the Studio 321 space is just so beautiful and fun. Everyone’s hair and makeup looked impeccable and we had a great time. They really took their time to make sure everything was perfect and were attentive of every little detail. We had rainy weather the day of the wedding and everyone’s hair and makeup was able to withstand the weather. Very highly recommend! -

The best experience!
Amy was the perfect addition to our wedding day! To start off, we did a hair trial. I was able to show her what I wanted, and she did my hair exactly how I wanted her too! I’m a COVID bride, and Amy was very flexible and understanding with us having to reschedule our wedding. On the wedding day, Amy was so accommodating to all of us who got our hair done. Her timing was perfect, and she brings any amazing calming energy to a day that can be very hectic! I highly recommend her for your big day! -

I found Studio 321 at the recommendation of our wedding coordinator. I wanted to make sure that I wasn't overly done up and that I still looked like "me" on my wedding day. I worked with Amy and Sara and both ladies did a wonderful job! My trial turned out so well that both my mom and sister decided to both have their hair/makeup done as well after seeing pictures. My mom is in her 70s and does not wear any makeup and was convinced she was going to come out looking like something out of a horror movie. Both Amy and Sara did a fantastic job with both my mom, sister, and mother-in-law. My mom was completely stunned when she saw the result and my sister wishes she could bring them down for her wedding next year.
I received so many compliments on both hair and makeup - I'm so happy I went with Studio 321. Thank you Amy and Sara! -

To preface this review, I messaged Studio 321 on Instagram at least twice before i was even engaged to check their schedule LOL. They were then the very first vendor I booked (right after the venue), just days after getting engaged. That’s how good they are!
Studio 321 does an incredible job of enhancing your natural beauty without it looking like too much! My bridesmaids and I were all obsessed with how our hair and makeup turned out. The Studio 321 girls are also just so fun and sweet, making the experience even more memorable. They fit right in in the bridal suite and we had such a blast with them!

Studio 321 was the absolute best to work with. Right from the get go Amy was super responsive to emails and helped me schedule my trial right away. I showed her pictures and she absolutely blew me away with the results. It was better than any Pinterest picture I had pinned! Her and her team are quick and efficient, and my wedding was the first wedding I have been in where hair and makeup was actually done on time. Beautiful and natural look
Amy and Sara were fantastic to work with. At my trial, they both listened carefully and helped me nail down exactly the look I wanted, then replicated it perfectly on the day of. Sara even anticipated the one change I was thinking about for my makeup look! They created beautiful but not overdone looks for my bridal party as well, taking the time to make sure everyone was totally happy while still managing to stay on schedule. Amy actually finished early, and everyone's hair stayed put all night. I'd recommend Studio 321 to any bride looking for a natural and romantic HMU look. -

Amy was everything I wanted in a hair stylist and more! On the day of the trial (that studio space though... swoon!!), I showed her a couple pictures of what I was looking for and she IMMEDIATELY nailed it. I drove all the way back from VA to NY that day and my hair held up like a charm!! Spontaneous car dance parties, rain, two dogs in the backseat, walking them in the misty rain... none of that was a match for my hair! I knew that very day that my hair would solid on our wedding day... and it was! We danced all night long and my hair felt secure and looked great at the end of the night. My bridal party also looked beautiful, and she did a great job with my Mom’s hair too! Not only is Amy a true artist, but she was a pleasure to work with and an absolute doll! I’d love to work with her again one day. My only regret is waiting so dang long to write this review! Thanks for everything Amy!! -

They’re fully worth it
Studio 321 came highly recommended to us by our photographer. We trusted that immediately because honestly, who better to recommend your beauty team than the one photographing you all day/night long?! From the moment I first got in touch with Amy, I knew she’d be great. Both Amy and Sara were an extremely professional team, always available to answer any questions we had and to assist with planning our wedding day beauty timeline. Because they only commit to one wedding per day, we were at ease knowing we’d be their only focus AND this ultimately allowed flexibility for a last minute addition of services for my mom.
On the day of, they both arrived promptly and prepared. Sara did my makeup, my mother’s makeup, and makeup for my three bridesmaids. Amy did my hair, my mother’s hair, and hair for one of my bridesmaids. They worked quickly and efficiently, while still taking time to genuinely consider each individual’s unique hair/makeup requests. Everyone that was present that day commented on how kind and professional Sara and Amy were throughout. Their friendliness and approachability can’t be understated. They were able to create unique and, best of all, long-lasting looks that made everyone truly happy.
For any brides still shopping around for their perfect beauty team:
Truthfully, Studio 321’s services were more expensive than I initially budgeted for but I quickly learned that Studio 321’s pricing is on par with the rest of Charlottesville’s pricey wedding market - if not MORE affordable. This was especially true for our smaller wedding party because, unlike many other artists in Charlottesville, Amy and Sara did not require a large group size or hefty cost “minimum” to provide the on-site services we desired. They were also extremely forthcoming about their pricing from the very beginning. If you’re on the fence about making the investment but you think you can swing it, look no further. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Studio 321 again and again - they’re fully worth it. -

The best hair and makeup team!
Amy and Sara are amazing! When I went into my hair/makeup trial I had very little idea about what I wanted for my wedding hair and makeup, but they helped me to create a beautiful and natural look that was even better than I had imagined! On my wedding day they easily accommodated my large bridal party and actually finished ahead of schedule. They were even able to add on a few makeups for my bridesmaids the day of the wedding! Our hair and makeup look amazing all night, even with after an evening of dancing outside! Amy and Sara are so easy going and a calm presence to have around on your wedding day! Amy came recommended to me by my photographer, who also happened to be amazing! We did a hair trial a month and a half before my wedding and then she did my bridal hair. My hair was perfect and exactly how I wanted it. Amy will not scar you with tight ringlet curls, she creates beautiful waves that last longer than just one night, with minimal hairspray. Amy also did my bridesmaids hair and they were beautiful. If you are a very particular and picky person like me, Amy is your girl. She will take care of you! -

Amy was fantastic to work with! I found her through wedding wire searches since I was an out of town bride. From the beginning, she is extremely responsive, friendly, helpful, and flexible. I first met Amy at my sister-in-law's wedding. She did about three of the bridesmaids updos to perfection in the same amount of time it took another (unrelated) hairdresser to do my hair. I was so impressed, and also jealous that I didn't get to work with her! Fast forward one year later to planning my own wedding, I knew I had to reach out to her. Amy was one of the first vendors I booked.
At my hair trial, I gave Amy a few ideas but of course she worked her magic and all of the styles she tried on me I absolutely loved! We had a hard time choosing our favorite. Come the day of the wedding, Amy was just as calm, cool, and collected as I remembered her at my sister-in-law's wedding. She got through all five of the bridesmaids with ease, and not one one of them complained about their updo falling out or not lasting the night. My updo turned out better than I could have ever imagined! I still receive so many compliments when people see my wedding photos. I honestly wouldn't have changed a hair! Not only is Amy such a sweet person to work with, but she has such a talent for hair. I would (and do!) highly recommend her to any bride-to-be! -

Amy did an awesome job on my hair and my bridesmaids’ hair. We showed her a picture and she was able to make it happen! She was really nice and easy to talk to, as well. I did my hair and makeup trial far ahead of time and just a few days before the wedding Amy let me know that the makeup artist cancelled. This was definitely a stressful issue but Amy worked to find a replacement and got me a trial scheduled for the day of our rehearsal. She also made the bridal makeup complementary due to the late change. This could have been a big issue but Amy did a great job of taking away the stress and fully compensated for the issue. Highly recommend Studio 321! -
