When my now-husband proposed, I emailed friends and family to tell them and then I emailed DJ Dietrich to see if he was available. He was the DJ for my friend's wedding back in very early 2020 and I always told people how much fun it was and that I was exhausted from dancing for 3 hours straight. He doesn't just play songs individually! Everyone wants to hear Uptown Funk, sure, but not the entire song! He keeps it moving, keeps it fun, reacts to the audience and keeps everyone on the dance floor. One thousand percent favorite person we worked with during the entire process of our wedding and people are still talking about how much fun it was. -

I knew from my first meeting with Ricardo that I wouldn’t have to worry about my entertainment for my wedding. He is incredibly knowledgeable and amazing at what he does. He is able to read the room and vibes. He perfectly blended our Ethiopian music with the rest of the playlist. He literally had my elderly aunties on the dance floor jamming. People couldn’t stop complimenting him and his team. His website platform made picking songs so easy. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect, seamless experience!! -

I don’t even know where to start — DJ Bigg H (Hollon) was amazing! From the very beginning, he was so fun, easy to talk to, and just got exactly what we wanted. We told him we love to dance and party, and wow did he deliver!
The dance floor was PACKED the entire night — from the first song to the last. His mixes and mashups were so good, and he kept the energy going nonstop. Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had and about how we know how to throw a party!

Brian is the man. When you hire him, you're not just getting a DJ/MC — you're getting a white-glove, full-service experience. Here's why choosing Brian will be one of the best decisions you make when planning your wedding or event.
First and foremost, Brian is incredibly generous with his time and makes the entire experience feel personal. Despite his busy schedule, he always made time for us. Months before our wedding, he met with us in person for two hours to discuss our vision and how he could help bring it to life. He was consistently available by phone and email, and always quick to respond to any questions or requests. He also pays close attention to every detail submitted through the music portal, ensuring your preferences are fully understood and incorporated.
Second, Brian’s DJ skills are top-notch. He knows how to mix songs seamlessly and in very interesting ways while always reading the room to keep the energy high. We had a mixed crowd (about 60% Millennials and 25% Baby Boomers) and we asked Brian to make sure the older generation felt included with some classic hits. Not only did he deliver, but several of our older guests came up to us raving about how great the music was. Brian has an uncanny ability to tailor his selections to every demographic in the room, playing exactly the right songs at the right moments, including tracks we didn’t even know we needed, to create unforgettable dance floor memories. We walked away from the dance floor feeling a kind of euphoria we hadn’t experienced in a decade. As a bonus, he records the reception so you can relive those amazing moments later.
Third, he’s an outstanding MC. Brian keeps everything flowing smoothly, sticks to the schedule, and knows how to hype up a crowd without ever being overbearing or corny.
In short, Brian isn’t just a professional: he’s someone who genuinely cares about making your event exceptional. He goes above and beyond, treating you more like a dear friend than just another client. Thanks to him, we had the wedding reception of our dreams. I can't stress enough how easy he made the entire process and how incredible the final result was.

I couldn’t recommend AMP’D entertainment enough! Hollon "DJ Bigg H" Yarborough was our DJ for our wedding and I can’t even say enough good things about him! He was amazing through the entire planning process, he was always there to help when needed. He made it very easy for us to explain our vision and boy did he bring it to life! He was super upbeat, able to keep up with a 4 hour dance floor which is definitely not easy to do, and was the entire reason the dance floor was so alive for the entire whole 4 hours. We definitely didn’t give him an easy task as our music really was all over the place but he made it work and flow so incredibly well. If you’re looking for a DJ for a wedding, event, etc just know you will be in amazing hands…seriously our guests haven’t stopped talking about it! -

Perfection. This is the only word I can use to describe our experience with DJ Bigg H (Hollon). My husband and I got married in September, and picked Hollon after seeing him perform at the Botanical Gardens for the Garden Lights. My gut would not let me deviate from Hollon after seeing how he was able to effortlessly transition between music genres and keep everyone engaged. He then took that skillset to a completely different level for our wedding reception. He was able to mix 80s, wedding classics, Johnny Cash, hip hop, Halloween, and EDM into the most customized playlist we have ever experienced. I was nervous our requests would not be engaging to everyone, and Hollon met with us and assured me not to worry. He was right. My husband and I did not leave the dance floor the entire night, and that is not an exaggeration. All other vendors said they knew exactly where to find us all night long. I could literally go on forever how perfect the night was. My husband and I had one primary request for our wedding and it was to have the most fun ever with our guests. That happened because of Hollon. -

DJ Luis (Incrediboi) was AMAZING! The moment we started our zoom call intro we immediately felt at ease. He was energetic, personable, and we could tell we were in great hands! Luis went above and beyond - he accommodated and helped select last minute changes to ceremony music, was the first one to offer my husband and I a drink at the reception, and even sent us a video of clips he had taken throughout the day.
His DJing skills are also TOP NOTCH. I can't tell you how many guests approached asking how we found him and saying how good his mixing was.

Hollon (DJ Bigg H) delivered on everything we could ask for any more. Like many couples, we loved our wedding weekend and look fondly back on all decisions we made for that weekend... but hiring Hollon easily tops the list of those good decisions.
The morning after our wedding, one of the first things said to us by a guest was "who was that guy DJing? He belongs in Vegas with his own residency somewhere."
Each set he crafts is a truly unique experience and far beyond just a normal Wedding set. The set he deliver's is one that you and your guests will want to download and listen to far beyond your wedding, whether it is during long car ride, house parties, the gym, etc.
Above everything else I will say, the most important and obvious thing about him is that he has a true passion for DJing and his #1 priority is a orchestrating a dance floor that the couple and the guests will remember as fun and one-of-a-kind, however it is that you define that. He will cut no corners and spare no expense to accomplish this.
His communication and collaborative nature comes across right from the first conversation when discussing a potential contract. Leading up to the wedding he follows-up a few times with phone calls to check-in, and is always available to talk through any ideas, questions, concerns, or visions you have.
The biggest plus about AMP'D is that they are real disc jockeys that mix live and create custom mixes, transitions, and edits to songs. This results in a truly unique feel and allows for endless possibilities of creativity and solutions to find the right balance the couple wants.
Using our experience as an example: My wife and I enjoy an EDM/party vibe. We were aware that this isn't exactly an "accessible" or "inclusive" vibe for wedding guests and family, and our #1 priority was catering to our guests and making sure they had fun (vs. of pushing for our own personal taste). Prior to discussing with Hollon, we accepted our fate that our dance floor music would be wedding classics, modern hits, sing-alongs, and that maybe we could get a 15-minute EDM block for us to look back on. And we were totally fine with this as an outcome/compromise.
However, Hollon was having none of that and said there was no need for a one or the other. He asked if we were comfortable with him "doing his thing", i.e. custom mixing some of the songs/transitions and using his discretion throughout the set to switch up and manage the vibes as he saw fit. He told us he would be able to deliver us much more that "15 minutes" catered for us, while still delivering an inclusive experience for everyone else. We felt extremely heard and understood in what we wanted, and felt we were in good hands, so we told him to go for it.
He did in fact strike a perfect balance we could not have imagined. Everyone had a blast, felt included, and it was accomplished with a set that we want to listen to on repeat. -

If you are a bride-to-be currently reading through reviews and watching YouTube videos trying to decide who to trust with your wedding day entertainment - stop right now and hire DJ Sires.
As a music lover myself, I always thought that I would hire a live band for my entertainment, but after moving from Chicago to Atlanta and not having a great grasp on the live music scene I somewhat reluctantly decided to go the DJ route. Boy am I sorry I ever wasted any time and energy making that decision.
Aside from my husband, DJ Sires was my best wedding day draft pick (and we Brides know how many choices there are!) In my mind the benefit of having a live band is the fact that you get a group of 6-10 people hyping up the crowd, creating a fun and energetic vibe. Well, I am here to tell you that DJ Sires can do that all on his own freeing up the money you’d have to pay the other 5-9 people to go elsewhere to enhance your day. From the moment the first song was played, DJ Sires had the dance floor packed all night (even my 90-year-old grandmother couldn’t resist getting out there!). When 11:45 PM rolled around and DJ Sires announced it was the last song, I can genuinely say people were sad he had to go and we couldn’t keep dancing (mind you, we aren’t in our 20’s anymore!) In fact, DJ Sires kept so many people up late having fun, that our Sunday brunch attendance was way down (something even the caterer remarked was the sign of a great party).
In the days since our wedding I have received so many texts from guests raving about our day, commenting that our reception was the most fun they ‘ve ever had & that they couldn’t remember the last time they stayed out that late and/or stayed until the end of a wedding. These are memories I will cherish forever.
Aside from DJ Sires ability to keep a dance floor packed, I'd be remiss not to let you know that Brian is also just a genuinely great human being. I think by the end of the night, my husband had asked if they could be friends lol. His cool style, confidence, and kind nature added a sense of warmth to the dinner portion of our wedding as he seamlessly ‘hosted’ it. I look forward to using DJ Sires for future parties, and hope this review saves some of the Brides out there some valuable time and stress – HE IS THE BEST, HIRE HIM NOW AND THANK ME LATER! -

AMP'D ENTERTAINMENT undoubtably was the highlight of our wedding reception. DJ Big H made an incredible mix of all of our favorite songs that had every single person up from the tables singing and dancing. My wife and I had an absolute blast, along with all of our guests. We worked with Hollon (DJ Bigg H) for our wedding. I could not recommend him more! I had previously seen him as a wedding DJ for one of my friends and sought him out to play at my wedding. My wife and my musical tastes are a mix of EDM and Pop hits. Hollon was exceptional at melding these two divergent styles to create an incredible mix. Our friends and family of all ages had a great time.
I also want to note Hollon is a great host. He has a strong radio voice and is confident in making announcements. We particularly appreciated how he coached my mother and my wife's parents in use of the microphone prior to their speeches and portions of the wedding ceremony. He really helped make the day go smoothly.
I would immediately recommend Hollon and Amp'd entertainment again in the future. -

My husband and I had Ricardo as our DJ for our wedding, and it was a PARTY!!! The ceremony music was flawless! Ricardo was even able to take a Youtube link for a song I chose to walk down the aisle to and make my entrance everything I had hoped for! Cocktail hour and dinner music was outstanding, but even more so, THE RECEPTION!!! Ricardo knew exactly how to get everyone out on the dance floor! He used our music recommendations and added in some of his own flair, and we could not have asked for anything more awesome! We had the best time dancing the night away! -

Wedding review
Amp’d was a wonderful company to use for our DJ for our 10/29/22 wedding. Hyo Nam especially was incredible, and responsive. He was able to follow all our directions with our ceremony music, special dances, and the reception to a T. He was immediately available and worked with us with our music whenever we needed him. We had a great day with Amp’d and highly recommend them. Their website is a little confusing to navigate when picking music to play. My husband and I were able to also make an excel spreadsheet and share that with Hyo and he was able to use that for our wedding day as well. It was the best party. -

Deitrich was a pleasure to work with! He's such a professional and extremely responsive. He knocked it out of the park with our wedding that included Hebrew, Latin, and American music! He was able to set up audio for the ceremony and the sound set up in the reception was perfect. He's super talented and overall a great DJ. Would recommend 10/10! -

He was super easy to work with in the prep leading up and day-of, absolutely crushed it on the dance floor. He really was reading the room and kept people out on the dancefloor. I cannot recommend Luis with AMP’D Entertainment enough! 1000000/10!! Not only is he insanely talented with his DJ skills, but he is such a kind and genuine person! Luis executed every detail of our wedding flawlessly and kept the dance floor full all night long! My entire experience of booking through AMP’D entertainment was impeccable and easily the least stressful vendor to book as a bride. My guests have not stopped raving about the music and experience of our wedding as a whole. If I had to do it again, I would 1,000% book Luis every single time. In 20201, we were supposed to get married but had to reschedule due to the dreaded C-Vid. I was so worried about rescheduling, but Damon was so nice and made it easy.. Leading up to the wedding, he was helpful and so kind. A week before the wedding, we got on a phone call and he helped me to find the last few songs I needed as well as talking about last details to be prepared. He did an amazing job on the day of our wedding and everyone had so much fun! Our friends love to dance and I was really hoping that everyone would stay on the dance floor until it was time to go.. and they did thanks to Damon. So glad to have had him as part of our wedding! -

Hollon + AMP'D were literally everything we wanted in a DJ. We did not want the usual, boring DJ. We wanted someone that would be able to use our music tastes and have an incredible party - and Hollon delivered! His excitement over the music made us even more excited. AMP'D was simply the best. DJ Incrediboi (Luis) was our DJ and guests still cannot stop talking about how amazing he was. One of our guests even said he wanted to fly him to Baltimore for their wedding. Every single person was on the dance floor all night. Beyond being a talented DJ he was on time, prepared, made sure we weren't without a drink all night, and one of the kindest people I have ever met.
More than just Luis, the entire Amp'd experience was incredible. They were so responsive from the beginning and even when they had an emergency, they made sure we knew we were in excellent hands. Hollon was so responsive and I now tell all brides to book their vendors through a group in case life happens! It was so nice to know that we did not have to panic book a vendor because we had a whole team behind us.
Thank you Luis and Amp'd! Our wedding was the most memorable because of you. -

Amped in general was a very great and caring company to work with. Ricardo got up to speed asap on our type of music we wanted and the vibe (asking all the right questions). He made planning fun and even collaborated with me on a special father daughter dance. It’s 3 weeks after the wedding now and I am still constantly getting comments from other vendors and all my guests on how the dj killed it! AMP'D Entertainment is seriously the best wedding DJ team I have ever encountered. DJ Brian was so much fun to work with through the whole process. They have a cool portal where you can request certain songs or genres, and DJ Brian worked with us to ensure he knew the vibe we wanted for the music played during each part of our wedding. At the reception, he had the dance floor full all night - I've been told by guests that they've never seen so much dancing at a wedding before. The DJs at AMP'D actually mix the music and can change things live to go with the mood of the crowd. They don't just press play on a playlist like some DJs do. Throughout the night, we got so many compliments on the music, and friends kept asking "Where did you find this guy??" Even now, months later, one of the things people still tell us about our wedding is how awesome the music was. If you are looking for a DJ for your wedding, you can't go wrong with AMP'D! -

I am so glad that we decided to go with Amp'd entertainment and DJ Sires. The reception was everything that we wanted it to be, and a large part of that was thanks to DJ Sires. Their planning tool was very comprehensive, and he had multiple discussions with me to make sure that everything was correct. Not only did he speak with me, but at the reception he took the time to seek out every person that he would be announcing to ask if he was pronouncing their name correctly-as someone whose wedding involved a number of Indian names, I was so grateful for that extra touch as mispronunciation was something that I was worried about. As we didn't have a wedding planner, I felt that the timeline fell to me (the bride) all day long right up until the reception, when DJ Sires took over the timing. I finally felt like I could relax and have a good time, and a huge part of that was thanks to the organization of DJ Sires and Amp'd. He also brought the lighting, which absolutely transformed our venue! The music was incredible and kept everyone dancing the whole time (one of our wedding party said that they would like to ‘live on that dance floor forever’”). It was absolutely incredible, as he made a custom mix including Hindi songs, Tops 40's, and a variety of other music. The final touch for me was that he played a song from a TV show that we both love, based on a previous conversation (not even us putting it on the "must play list"), and that got everyone on the dance floor so hype (when everyone's energy was starting to flag). Those little touches and extra effort really made our day, and again we cannot recommend them highly enough! -

Ricardo Spicer was the DJ for our wedding, and he was phenomenal!! He is very knowledgeable about the music industry, is passionate about what he does, and his positive energy is infectious.
I appreciated his friendly personality, professionalism, versatility, and expertise during our planning sessions. We chose songs across many different genres, generations, and cultures. He was a fantastic MC as he facilitated the reception events such as the wedding party intros, toasts, and dances. He also mixed tracks that really impressed our guests!!
As the bride, I did not leave the dance floor since the moment Ricardo started the first song. Everyone was on the dance floor and the party did not stop until we had to get ready for our send off. I highly recommend Ricardo for any wedding or event! -

I cannot express enough how much my wife and I enjoyed AMP'D Entertainment throughout the entire process. Ricardo was incredibly flexible, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond in pretty much every aspect of our wedding, from consulting our playlist, getting a feel for the music genres we enjoy, and nailing every single little detail that we couldn't think of.
I don't consider myself as much of a dancer, but believe me when I say I was on that dance floor for the entire night and didn't realize it until the lights turned on. Ricardo definitely brought that energy and hype that my wife and I were really looking for our dance floor. If there's ever another event that we would need music for, AMP'D Entertainment and Ricardo would be the only place we'd look! -

AMP'D Entertainment was great - they have an online platform that leads you through choosing songs you want (or need) played and songs you absolutely DON'T want played.
Hyo (Dj Bismark) was incredible as well. At our request, he actually custom mixed our wedding march with a song that my husband had made and made them flow together beautifully. I would absolutely hire him again were I to have another large gathering. -

Brian was phenomenal. He helped make our wedding everything we wanted and more! We were nervous as our nerdy, eclectic taste in music was all over the place, but Brian handled it with ease. He is truly an artist at what he does--blending old & new music perfectly, transitioning between songs, finding ways to work in odd song requests, and creating a party atmosphere that had our most shy dancers having a blast on the dance floor. WORTH. EVERY. PENNY. 10 out of 10 would recommend again and again... and again.
