I was very impressed with Amore Bridal and Tuxedo. They listened to my style when choosing gowns for me and were encouraging yet honest about which ones looked best. They were patient when I was indecisive and helped me choose the perfect dress within my price range. For alterations, I had lost a significant amount of weight and they were patient with having to alter the dress again. The lady even told me to return two weeks before the wedding and she'd do all the alterations within a week so i could continue to lose weight beforehand. I was truly impressed with their professionalism and timeliness.

Amore has a great selection of gowns in all sorts of styles! The staff is absolutely wonderful and make the process as easy as possible. One thing I loved about Amore was the fact that they didn't put pressure on me or my family to buy any dress, the choice was truly mine. A lot of high-end bridal salons in the area require a credit card when making an appointment just to pull dresses for you - that's crazy! I would definitely recommend Amore to any newly engaged bride!

I absolutely loved my Casablanca wedding dress from amore bridal! The staff was very professional and helped me find the dress that I had always dreamed about as a little girl. Alterations (Patricia) also did an amazing job customizing beautiful lace straps to my dress in order to ensure a one-of-a-kind look on my big day. Excellent experience!

The ladies at amore were so flexible with my appointment and helped me with finding dresses I wanted. They even went into the back to see if they had dresses matching my description.

THEY WERE THE BEST! I walked in on a whim, and when I described the details I really wanted in the perfect gown, it was the first dress my attendant pulled! She pulled others that were along the same lines, of course, but it was THE ONE! Their alteration services are the best, too! I think they have the best selection of GORGEOUS but affordable gowns in the entire KC metro area! Go here!

I was afraid that their prices were going to be to high for me, but i was wrong!! They have dresses in all price ranges!! I am so glad that I got my dress here and NOT Davids Bridal! To order my dress I had to pay $100 and then i could make payments up until it was time to get it altered! That also included my veil and slip! The alerations were cheap, although i did try telling the lady i thought it needed to be a little shorter because i thought i might trip and sure enough when we walked into the church i was tripping all over my dress! Other then that, I am going to use them from now on when we need any formal attire!! I have told all my friends that are getting married or that have kids going to formals GO HERE! YOU WON'T BE SORRY!! They can be pushy, but you won't regret getting your dress from them!

I went to Amore because they had several good reviews and the dress I had been eyeing online. We were greeted warmly and right away. Emily was my consultant and did a fantastic job! I had my first fitting yesterday and the alterations lady knows her stuff! We are very impressed and so happy we went to Amore! I absolutely love my dress and veil! So happy with this store!

This is a very high end boutique! The place is every bit as gorgeous as their gowns. I love this boutique!!!! Heather was the best. She made my bridal gown shopping so enjoyable. Once I put on my dress I knew it was the one. I LOVE AMORE! Highly recommended on my list!

Elsa did the alterations my gown, and I adore her! She is absolutely hilarious, fast, and 100% honest. She tells it like it is, and you will appreciate it. She was full of tips for making your dress look as good as it possibly could. She did all of my alterations within 1 week and it looked perfect. She is one of the most affordable in town. The dress selection at Amore is amazing. Everyone is super friendly there, and they did a great job cleaning and pressing my dress before the wedding and gave me a great deal on preserving the dress post-wedding.

When I went dress shopping I only made it to one shop and it was this one! I didn't need to even go to another one. They had beautiful dresses and I also got my bridesmaids dresses here. They know what looks best on you and they won't tell you something different. I highly recommend this shop! I also love that they keep the dress until the very last minute and steam it and clean it for you.

I love Amore so much I purchased EVERYTHING there! My complete wedding day look from hairpiece right down to my shoes. My bridesmaids and mother also purchased their dresses jewlery and shoes there. The staff is very professional and their selection of dresses and jewlery is great!

Nicole and her mom and forgive me but I can't remember her name right now, are the best people to work with, They helped with my sister, cousin, sister-n-laws and 2 of my mom's friends daughter's weddings.

I can't even begin to explain how wonderful this place is. They make you feel special and take care of your every need, my dress, bridesmaid dresses, Mother of the bride dress, Candlelighter's dress invitations and hair pieces and what not all came from here, they are reasonably priced and make sure that you are 100% satisfied :)

It was fantastic! These women are so wonderful and caring about making your atire for the day perfect. They have so many beautiful dresses, from all price ranges. The shop makes you feel like a princess because of the rich decor.

I loved the process of buying a dress here, as well as all the care provided to me throughout the fittings and alterations. They don't try to schmooze or pretend they are something they aren't - they are just really nice people with beautiful dresses. I liked that there wasn't lots of pressure, heavy sales pitches, the owner randomly walking out to do the "final push", etc. It was very easy, they had the dress i wanted, and altered it to fit just right. As easy as buying a wedding dress should be!

I got my dress from Amore and they were a pleasure to work with. The consultant was very helpful and after showing her my vision of a wedding gown went and selected the dress that I bought. I bought my wedding dress from Amore for my wedding last month.
I had a great experience through them and would definitely recommend them to anymore looking for a gown. They were very flexible with appointments and really helpful in the overall process. They also have a pretty large selection of gowns, so I was able to try on a handful right away that were harder to find designers.

ps - 10 stars to their alterations! She is AWESOME!

Amore Bridal did the bridesmaid and day of helper dresses for our August 11, 2012 wedding. The colors were turquoise and red and I was having a difficult time finding cute, affordable dresses to match the shades I was looking for. I finally ended up here and thankfully there was a selection to choose from! I had a total of 9 girls in my bridal party and I wanted them all in different dresses which was an undertaking, but Heather was very helpful during the process and they all found dresses they liked. Unfortunately a lot of the more affordable dresses were not in the store to try on and most of the girls didn't feel comfortable ordering a dress they couldn't try on. I also had a size issue with one of the bridesmaid dresses that we were thankfully able to take care of, but to this day I'm still not sure what exactly happened because I didn't have time to fully look into it.

I am so happy I found my dress at Amore! They are patient, helpful and have such a wide range of dresses to choose from. The seamstress there is absolutely perfect! She had to do a TON of work on my dress and it was could not have been more perfect. I got my dress, jewelry, headpiece and veil from there! They most definitely do alterations, not sure why someone posted otherwise, but I got mine done right there. We did not have ONE problem with them.

I chose the second dress I tried on, I loved it! I wanted a belt with the dress to add a little umph to it. When my dress came back, they did not have my belt, the company said the belt was discontinued, it wasn't their fault but I appreciate how Thea helped me pick out another belt and she gave me a discount. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and I have you all to thank. I guess my belt got caught on something that the jewels were coming off from the edge. It didn't bother me.

I felt everyone working at Amore was very professional; however, I had a little problem with Patty's comments. I felt like she was a little pushy towards the end of my appointment. I liked the accessories she put on me with my dress and I felt like she was pushing me to buy them. I don't handle pressure very well so I said okay, then my maid of honor said don't do it because they were too expensive. I changed my mind and I could tell she was a little annoyed because I was cutting in her other appointment. That's the only negative experience I had. Other than that, it was good! I've already recommended Amore' to engaged brides.

This was the one and only bridal gown store I went to, and 3rd dress was the charm!
The lady helping me find the dress was very very helpful. I never felt pressured to "just pick one" or to buy the most expensive one. She was really thoughtful in helping me find "the one" that was perfect for me.

Thea (sorry if I misspelled her name) did my alterations and she did a great job. My dress fit like a glove on the day of. I didn't have to struggle to breath once and didn't have to keep puling my dress up. It was perfect!

The only negative I had is that some of my buttons on the back fell off toward the end of the night. Other than that, it was perfect and I got a ton of compliments.

Went shopping for bridesmaid dresses here and had a great time! They have a pretty good selection and the staff is super friendly and helpful. It seemed a bit overpriced though, especially because we found the exact same dresses that we had seen at other stores earlier that day but they were marked $20 higher. If you can wait for a sale this would be a great place to go!

I absolutely LOVE my dress. All of the consultants are so friendly and they will make your time trying on dresses a blast and stress free! They are great and getting the dresses out one by one so you are not overwhelmed with 20 dresses hanging all around you. When I was finished I had the perfect dress hanging in my dressing room!
Most of their dresses are over $1,000, that's really the only downfall.

I didn't have a single problem with Amore. everyone was very friendly and professional. They worked around my schedule since I live out of town. They suggested Elsa to me for my alterations since I was only in town a few days and she was wonderful! We had no trouble with payments, appointments or pick ups. Everything was great!

Amore was great to work with for our tux rentals. Everyone looked amazing at our wedding, and even people from out of state were able to order without issue. They even got my husband's tux in early to make sure everything would fit properly for the wedding.

Very nice bridal shop with a great selection. The ladies there are so professional when working with you trying on dresses. The dress I ended up purchasing was not at all what I thought I'd get but was perfect. I did my alterations through their contracted seamstress and she did a pretty good job too.

We weren't having a formal wedding but I wanted everyone to look uniform, we wanted suits. Since I worked in a store with tuxedo rentals before I knew Jim's Formal Wear rented suits and they were nice onces compared to ther vendors we used. After checking Jim's website we went to talk with Amore Bridal. Even though I didn't get my dress or any accessories there, they were so good to work with and treated us well. They helped us select the best accessories for our small wedding party so everyone looked good. Jim's has a nice selection of suits so we did the groom in all navy, the groomsmen in tan coats and navy panyts and the dads in nancy coats and tan pants. Their keen eye helped get the right ties to so everyone had the same one and it all looked good with the different suit combos we chose.

Wathcing them work with brides while we were there and looking at dresses, without trying on, I would recommend this store to anyone getting married. They are alittl eout of the way in Independednce but the personal service and quality you will receive is worth it!

Overall a great experience. They were very helpful and did a nice job. My only complaint is they scheduled my first dress fitting during the week before many area high school proms and it was an absolute mad house. My appointment was extremely rushed. The rest of the fittings went much smoother and they were able to shorten my veil at the last minute. They did a great job and the dress and veil fit perfectly!

I have mixed feelings about this place, but mostly good. I found a BEAUTIFUL dress in the store and purchased it. The women that helped me was amazing! I had a very large party with me and tried on many many dresses. Three months later, I still hadn't heard back from anyone about my dress so I called and the lady on the phone told me that my dress had came in damaged (!) and they had already sent it out to see if it could be fixed. I was very very upset that no one called to notify me of the fact that my dress was messed up or the fact that it had came in. I had to keep calling the store to inquire if they had any news on my dress because she was not calling me back. Eventually, my dress came back and they managed to fix it perfectly. When I went to get my alterations, the lady that did them was WONDERFUL. She is a miracle worker and very nice! I wish I could remember her name to put it on here, but she is from South Africa.

Overall there was a great selection. My only complaints would be that it would take a very long time for shipping and they didn't provide any type of alterations. I would have to schedule with an entirely different person for alterations.

The people at amore tried to be helpful, but it was hard picking out invitations while standing at the cash register. There were so many things to pick out I was there for two hours standing the whole time, I didn't like the way I was waited on either, I felt like I was an inconvience because I was ordering invitations and beverage napkins.

As a plus size woman, trying on dresses can be a challenge considering most designers send sample sizes to shops that carry their dresses. I called around to multiple stores and very few carried any bridesmaids dresses about a 12. When I called amore they said that they had a few plus sizes that could be tried on. When we arrived to try on dresses there was not a single dress in that designer above a 16. This of course made deciding which dress to purchase more difficult, especially when you are paying $200+ for a dress.

I was measured in my bust, waist and hips to find out what size I would need to order. When we referenced the size chart, it came out that my bust was bigger than the largest size dress available. I never in my life, have ordered a size 28 in anything. Now, with that being said, I understand that dresses tend to run small. No big deal. The woman then tells me that I will need to order an extra yard of fabric which when the dress is altered can be added to make the top bigger to fit my bust. A yard of fabric runs for $50 a yard. The dress itself was $220. She then tells me that they charge extra per size after a size 22. Once everything is all said and done, my total comes out to $341, for a dress that I have no idea what it will look like on, nor how it will fit. Not to mention during all of this, the woman that was helping us was very, very pushy and quite rude.

Fast forward 2 1/2 months later. The bride gets a call that our dresses are in. I am thinking great, I will finally be able to see what this will look like on and figure out how much it will need to be altered. I go pick up the dress, the extra fabric and pay the balance that is left. I get home, put the dress on and to my surprise.... IT ZIPS! AND there is a ton of room in the bust, along with everywhere else.

Here I am with a dress that is now way to big, a yard of extra fabric that I do not need, and I start questioning the measurements, the size that was ordered, and why I paid the extra money when I obviously did not need to. I thought that I would just call Amore and explain what is going on, surely they would understand. After this I took measurements myself at home, to find out that according to the size chart I did not need a size 28, but a size 18, maybe 20 if we were being generous.

I called Amore today, and first spoke to a young lady. She was very concerned and said that unfortunately she could not do anything and that she would get me with someone that could help. Another woman comes on the phone, I explain to her the situation and according to her “these things to happen and that there is an ease in all dresses that is around half an inch which could explain why it fits” I told her that “no mam, it is not just a little loose, it is way too big.” She claimed that all dresses size different and that basically you order a size while you are “backed into a corner hoping that it fits”. If that is the case, why even take measurements? If all of the dresses are sized differently why have a size chart? She then tells me that they cannot take back the extra fabric because the designer does not take it back. She claimed that all dresses are dyed together and that if they took this fabric back it would not match any other dresses of that color. Which, I am sorry, but come on... Seriously?

After what turned out to be a pointless conversation about the sizing of the dress, I then mention the extra charged and the money that I am out. So not only am I out the $50, but I am also out the extra money charged for it being over a size 22, and I am going to have to pay the extra money to have it altered to where I need it to be. She did not seem like she cared, nor that she wanted to make the situation right. Her words were “these things happen”.

I am very, very upset with how this was handled from start to end. All I can say is check your measurements if you do decide to go here and think twice before ordering.

I went into Amore Bridal at 4 oclock on a Saturday afternoon. The store closes at 5. When I walked in there was not one single customer in the store. The sales girl greeted me and asked me what I needed. I told them I wanted to look at dresses. She then asked me if I wanted to make an appointment for another day. i said "No, I wanted to look around now". She told me to feel free to look around. I said "Well, what if If I find a dress I like and want to try it on?" She said I would have to make an appointment for another day. I told them to just forget it and I walked out. The whole deal was they didnt want to bother with me because they were getting off work in an hour and they could have cared less that I walked out. This is the worst customer service a bridal store could ever have. I'm glad I left because I found the perfect dress at David's Bridal and their customer service was AMAZING! Do yourself a favor....drive right on bhy Amore Bridal!!!!!!!!!!
