From our very first conversation, we knew we were in good hands, but Mónica, Patrícia and the entire team still managed to exceed every expectation we had.
Planning a wedding from Canada for a celebration in Portugal could have been incredibly stressful, but they made the entire process feel effortless. They were always organized, responsive, calm, and one step ahead. No question was too small, and no request was ever too much.
We had multiple events over several days, with guests travelling from Canada, England, Australia, the Netherlands and Portugal. Every detail was flawlessly coordinated, allowing us to simply enjoy every moment with our family and friends. Everything ran seamlessly, and if there were any challenges behind the scenes, we never knew about them.
Our wedding day was beyond anything we could have imagined. It was elegant, relaxed, joyful and perfectly executed. Even now, weeks later, our guests are still talking about what an incredible week they had and how beautifully everything was organized.
One moment that perfectly sums up who they are happened at the very end of the night. After making sure every guest was looked after, Mónica personally walked us back to our room because we had celebrated a little too much! It’s such a small gesture, but it shows the genuine care they have for their couples. They don’t just plan weddings—they truly look after you from beginning to end.

If you’re considering hiring Monica and Patricia, stop searching and book them! We truly cannot recommend them highly enough.
Our wedding in the Douro Valley had around 130 guests, multiple events, a hotel buyout, transportation logistics, and a long list of vendors that all needed to work together seamlessly (most of which they had prior relationships with which was super helpful!). Planning a destination wedding from another country felt daunting at first, but Monica and Patricia made the entire process organized, enjoyable, and stress-free.
From the beginning, they were proactive, responsive, and thorough. We had regular check-ins throughout the planning process, they kept us on track with timelines and decisions, answered every question quickly, and always made us feel confident that nothing was being overlooked. They visited the venue ahead of time, coordinated every detail with the hotel and each vendor, confirmed logistics, anticipated potential issues before they could become problems, and made sure everyone was aligned.
Most importantly, our wedding weekend was absolutely flawless and they brought a high quality team to make sure of this. Everything happened exactly as planned, every vendor knew where they needed to be, every transition was seamless, and we never had to worry about a single detail. As the bride and groom, we were able to be completely present with our family and friends instead of thinking about logistics. We genuinely didn’t encounter a single issue all weekend, which is a testament to the amount of work Monica and Patricia put in behind the scenes.
Beyond their organization and professionalism, they’re simply wonderful people. They are kind, calm under pressure, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in making your wedding the best day possible. They balanced being incredibly detail-oriented with making the experience feel fun and exciting rather than overwhelming.
Looking back, hiring Monica and Patricia was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire wedding process. They exceeded every expectation we had, and we are so grateful for everything they did to make our destination wedding truly perfect.

An unforgettable experience for our elopement
We eloped in Alentejo and Monica was amazing. The ceremony exceeded our expectations and was just perfect. Monica made the perfect wedding for us
Organising a wedding abroad is difficult and you rely on your planner to listen to you, to understand you, and to deliver what you are dreaming of. Monica from Amor Pra Sempre did this and more. She worked with us and suppliers to deliver the wedding, the party and the pre-party that we had hoped for. We were a small wedding and had a relatively small budget, and Monica helped us prioritize according to our needs, and made suggestions and efforts to reduce costs.
The day went smoothly and without stress due to Monica and Patricia's management of guests and suppliers. And to top it off, Monica was also our celebrant and delivered a beautiful ceremony. We can't say enough good things about Monica. She's the best. -

We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to work with Monica! She was amazing to work with. She is so kind, relatable, and has great energy while remaining very calm. All the vendors that Monica worked with were also amazing and really made our big day so special. She made planning a destination wedding in Portugal from the US worry free, and as seamless as possible. Working with Monica was so easy because it felt like we were working with a friend. Monica even hosted a “points of view” bonding moment with myself, my mom and the bridal party the morning of the wedding. As our wedding planning team, Mónica and Patrícia were hardworking and professional. Being on different continents was not without its challenges, but they were always helpful in trying to work through these. There were a couple of important things that we felt fell through the cracks, unfortunately, maybe as a result of their business growing, during the two years we were planning. However, because they were always attentive, supportive and it all came together on the day, we would certainly recommend their services.
We also chose for Mónica to be our celebrant. She did an amazing job, crafting a very beautiful and personal bilingual ceremony. Truly an unforgettable day. -

We worked with Amor Pra Sempre for about a year while preparing our wedding in 2025. Overall, it is a good company if you are looking for a beautiful wedding with solid, high-quality vendors and a stunning venue. The venue they helped us choose was amazing, and the wedding itself turned out beautifully.
The reason we didn’t give a full mark is mainly related to communication and flexibility, which were especially important for our destination wedding. Monica delivered a decent level of service, but we didn’t fully know what to expect until the actual wedding day. To be fair, we were informed from the beginning that responses might take some time. We were also told they work with around 12 couples per year, but September turned out to be one of their busiest seasons, with many weddings happening in parallel.
One key area for improvement is communication and flexibility with vendors. All communication with the florist and catering company was handled exclusively through Amor Pra Sempre, and we were not able to set up Zoom calls with these vendors directly before signing contracts. With the florist, there was no clear overview of the flowers being used or what was included in the service. Because I couldn’t arrange a direct meeting or receive a detailed proposal, I eventually chose my own florist to ensure my vision was fully understood.
A similar issue applied to the catering vendor. We were not able to speak with them directly or ask detailed questions about the menu. The menu options were provided only in Portuguese (for this specific vendor) and without photos, so we had to translate everything ourselves. That said, the overall result with the catering vendor impressed us on the wedding day, exceeding our expectations. The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious.
Occasional Zoom meetings, clearer written summaries of decisions, and more detailed explanations of services would significantly improve the planning experience.
That said, I personally prefer to have as much information as possible and a clear understanding of every detail. Couples who are more hands-off and simply want a beautiful wedding with good vendors will certainly receive that with Amor Pra Sempre. Overall, the wedding was beautiful, and the company delivers quality results, but improved communication would elevate the experience even further. -
