Our most important vendor

I cannot say enough about Amy's organization and demeanor. She is empathic, goal-driven, and amazingly capable as a planner. She put out fires, wrangled groomsmen, and brought style and class to our wedding. There were many details I had strong opinions on, and Amy honored those opinions perfectly. There were other details I couldn't make decisions on, and I knew that leaving those up to her discerning eye would leave them in the most trustworthy hands. Truly a joy to form a relationship with this wonderful woman. I'll have to come up with a reason for her to hold my hand through another event in the near future.

Great wedding planner!

Amy was great to work with and put us at ease the second we hired her. She was always professional, communicative, and tuned into what we wanted. She always kept us on track, and her experience and advice were so helpful for so many different aspects of wedding planning. She kept it real as to our budget and what we could accomplish within that, which was very much appreciated at the outset! She also had great recommendations for vendors and we were very happy with the ones she vouched for. On the day of, Amy was invaluable and we were relaxed because she and her team took care of everything, including a down-to-the-minute day-of timeline. We didn't need to worry about communicating with any vendors or making sure that X thing happened at Y time, because she was running the show from behind the scenes. We could not have had our wedding without her!

Planning Perfection!!!

Amy is amazing, and I would have been lost without her. We had a fabulous team of vendors, and the day was styled to perfection - really all thanks to her. Amy totally got our vision and worked within budget to recommend vendors and options that would work cohesively to bring to life the wedding of our dreams. She was always responsive, flexible, and organized, not to mention one of the sweetest people you will ever meet! On the day of the event, Amy was there making sure everything ran on time and according to plan, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. I would highly, HIGHLY recommend Amy to any brides out there seeking assistance with their planning.

Made my best day ever possible!

Amy was amazing! From the moment I contacted her to the very moment our wedding day was complete she was so accommodating. During our initial conversation she set me right at ease and I could tell she knew what she was talking about. She seemed to ask me all the right questions; things I hadn't even thought of. Upon booking her she immediately went to work collaborating with me and understanding what I wanted/needed from each and every vendor. She understood my desires and never tried to push her own ideas on me, but offered plenty of great ideas that we incorporated. Her 12 page design presentation was everything I was envisioning but couldn't seem to put together on my own she took my jumbled pinterest pages and put together a design just for our day.
On the day of the wedding her and her staff were organized and on top of every detail. I couldn't have asked for a better planner and designer. She made our day possible. Thank you Amy!

Exceptional Event Planning

Amy is fabulous! I had contacted her to plan, coordinate and basically "run" my son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner. The event was in Virginia and since I live in a Boston suburb I could never have taken care of any of the details without her. I was so comfortable with her and her excellent vendors. I simply wrote a check (and it was quite reasonable) and Amy provided everything, all while being so inconspicuous! I would definitely recommend Amelia Lawrence Weddings for anyone that has a discerning eye for perfection and elegance.

Amy will not only make sure your day is perfect, she goes above and beyond. Not only was she a shoulder to cry on, she brought sprigs from her own garden for our table settings and always checked in to see what else she could take off our plate. I could not recommend any one higher. Her recommendations were always on point, she has a fantastic creative eye. We were wary at first about a month of coordinator, but giving the reins to Amy to coordinate with all the vendors was the best decision we ever made. No stress for us, she dealt with it all. SHE IS THE BEST, we want her to plan and design all of our future parties!

Amy is a fantastic wedding planner! I really don't have enough good things to say. She's the kind of wedding planner who really works with you and offers her ideas without pushing anything on you. She’s incredibly well organized and helps you keep on track as your wedding day approaches and she’s also super flexible! When I changed my mind on style/color, she worked with me to offer suggestions and helped me see where I needed to stay focused (and I most definitely changed my mind about things... :) ). She's also very goal oriented. If you tell her what you need or what you want, she will help you accomplish that!

Another amazing thing about Amy was that on the day of my wedding, she made everything feel like smooth sailing even after my cake was in a small car accident and we got hit with a 'summer' storm mid dinner. Seriously…I’m not sure the situation could have been handled any better. The cake was fine, just late to the wedding, but I didn’t even realize that had happened till AFTER the wedding! My wedding was partially indoor, partially outdoor and a summer storm came through and moved the dj and the photo-booth inside. She handled that all so well – figuring out and deciding where they would all go…Amy was impressive and I’m so happy I had Amy as my wedding planner!

Amy was absolutely incredible to work with and made my wedding day a really special event for my family and I! I planned my wedding from out of state and entrusted Amy to take care of everything from contacting vendors to giving me a vision for the day of. She not only met my expectations but exceeded them. I had a beautiful wedding and my family and friends raved about how fun and beautiful the day was. I owe that all to Amy. As a planner, she's incredible, but as a person she is even better! She was excellent to communicate with and would often respond to late calls, emails, and texts due to my busy work schedule. Here is what I will say about Amy and her assistant (and I shared this with her after the event), I am the mother-of-the-bride and a IT Program manager by trade. I figured I could really do all of this myself. I was so wrong and am now an evangelist for wedding planners, but especially Amy. We didn't have a florist set up flowers - Amy and her assistant did it - outside and in the wind - and I was forever grateful. We had one or two small snafu's during the event and she so professionally and calmly helped me solve them. I don't know where she was during the event, but when ever I needed her, she caught my eye and responded right away. Really a joy to work with!

When we first got engaged, I wasn't sure I needed a day-of coordinator - I'm a pretty detail oriented person, plus the venue we selected provided an event manager to help oversee vendors etc. - but decided to hire Amelia Lawrence weddings for extra support, just in case. BEST DECISION EVER. It was such a relief to have Amy there to answer my questions (or help get answers to questions that I didn't even know to ask!) and pull together the day-of timeline, and help the whole wedding party stick to that timeline and make sure everything went smoothly. I didn't have to deal with a single problem or question from family or guests on my wedding day because Amy took care of it seamlessly. Thank you Amy!

I recently attended a wedding that Amy coordinated. The wedding was IMMACULATE! Everything seemed to run smoothly. She was very attentive to the bride, family, and guest. She had everything under control. There was never a time where it seemed stressed, she had everything worked out and organized. You can see the love that she has for her clients and what she does through her work. Her work is elegant, creative, and thorough! She seemed very professional, to have an eye for all the details, courteous and accommodating. She has a wealth of knowledge in all things wedding related and then some, including vendors, for all budget types. I would definitely recommend her for any type of wedding.

Amy made the day flawless! She worked so hard making sure we both had what we needed when we needed it. We threw some curve balls last minute that she handled with grace and a smile. Amy worked hard the whole time from the time she was hired and was willing to do what it took to make the day special. We hired Amy for partial planning and month-of coordination. Put simply, Amy is really, REALLY good at what she does. I was a difficult combination of very busy bride (1st year lawyer) and one who has trouble delegating. Amy sent monthly checklist emails, helped keep me on track, offered suggestions, recommended vendors, and helped develop my vision without forcing hers. She makes herself very accessible to her brides, and we talked over text, phone, Facetime, and in person during the planning process. Amy asked lots of questions and we worked through diagrams to make sure she could execute my vision day of without needing to follow up with me. Also, I am not sure if Amy had worked on Jewish weddings before, but she was very sweet and attentive in asking about the various Jewish elements, and making sure she knew what to do with the items, where to put them, and what they were called. She also has lots of great items (large vintage frame, table numbers, etc.) that she lets her brides borrow, which was great and saved us some money!

On the day of the wedding, it was like any time something came up that needed to be dealt with, it fell into place before I had time to panic. That was Amy working her magic! My ceremony violinist got stuck in traffic and didn't make it, and I only found out 30 minutes before the ceremony. Amy ran up to ask the DJ if he could hook up his sound system and cover. There is no way I could have done that without a coordinator just a few minutes before my ceremony! The next morning, I woke up, and everything had "magically" made its way back to my car! My only issue was that some of her vendor recommendations didn't work out for me (one was even rude), but that's a preference thing between brides and ultimately she didn't force her recommendations on me and worked well with the vendor team I chose.

Thank you Amy for making the planning process so much more manageable and the wedding day, a dream!

Amy is amazing !!! She is on top of everything .
Amy has great ideas, very organized and the most pleasant personality .
As mother of the bride I can say that I did not have to worry about anything form the very start of the wedding to the end when I watched my daughter and her husband drive away .

In the beginning stages of my wedding planning process I really debated the value of having a month/day of coordinator. I am so very happy that I decided to book one and that it ended up being Amy with Amelia Lawrence Weddings. I could tell from the beginning that she was a professional, very organized, courteous, and really wanted help create my vision. Her help with the day of timeline and doing the final walk through really made me feel more comfortable and at ease, which I could not put a price tag on -as all brides know, things can be very stressful for the last month leading up to the wedding day especially with working full time during it all. Amy made me feel more secure knowing that if anything went wrong or needing directing she would be there to guide things along. I am happy to say that my wedding day went perfectly (which is hard to say) and I know a lot of that had to do with Amy being there to direct my vendors, bridal party, and our families. Amy was so amazing with my sister Claudia and Matt before the wedding, during the rehearsal, and most importantly, on their wedding day! I remember a couple of months before the wedding I could tell my sister was starting to get overwhelmed with some of the finishing touches for the wedding. This all changed the day she started working with Amy. My sister was able to enjoy the last couple of months of planning because of Amy. Amy was professional, responsive, and beyond helpful. As father of the bride I attended the wedding rehearsal exercise and was very well impressed by Amy's professionalism and her responsiveness to Claudia and Matt's requests on how they wanted the ceremony to unfold. Wedding planner's work usually goes unnoticed and it is only perceived when something in the event goes wrong. Amy is the reason my wedding was the most beautiful day of my life. When I started out, I didn't understand what a wedding planner did and wasn't convinced I needed one. Predictably, as a professional and perfectionist, I quickly became overwhelmed. I kept wondering, do all these other brides work?? I was 4 months out from my wedding and couldn't, for the life of me, see how this was going to actually come together. It was a coworker, also planning her wedding, who eventually sat me down for an intervention and recommended Amy.

Working with Amy was like having two brides on the job, except that one of us actually knew what she was doing. She was sweet and professional. In one structured meeting, she took stock of progress made, identified what needed immediate attention, and organized us into a plan that took us straight through the day-of.

Amy is a natural at design, learning your tastes and style, and elevating it for the occasion. My wedding is the most beautiful I have ever attended. I am certainly biased, but I know not all brides feel that way. Amy can help accomplish that.

My husband and I truly adore Amy. She cares about her clients, takes her work seriously, and cares about the success of your wedding day as much as you. I'll miss working with her and couldn't recommend her services enough to the next bride. So please let me do for you, what my sweet coworker did for me. Save your sanity and enjoy this process. When I was becoming overwhelmed and felt like I wasn't going to be able to pull everything off; Amy came and saved the day! We hired her for design services and month/day-of coordination, and it was the BEST decision we made through out the entire planning process. Amy was such a breath of fresh air and I truly don't know what we would have done without her. Amy was the best recommendation we got! Many of our other vendors, we found on our own and did a great deal of research on, but not for Amy! It was at the recommendation of our florist and turned out Amy was really such a delight to work with and we were so lucky to have her as a part of our day. Although she was our "month of" coordinator, Amy was helpful throughout the entire planning process. Giving advice for design elements when I was unsure, making recommendations of vendors when we were still struggling to find someone, and answering every crazy question we threw out to her she was there. We trusted her to carry out all the set-up, coordination, and sticky stuff for the day of and she executed everything with grace and flexibility. Even when we had a last minute change of plans, Amy was there to guide all the vendors through it and followed-up with me as needed. I only saw her a few times while I was getting ready but knew everything would move smoothly with her at the helm. I mean if she can put up with our gaggle of goofballs at the rehearsal, she can really handle pretty much anything!! Amy, thank you so much for your work on our special day. It most definitely would not have run as smoothly without you and I likely would have been a big stress ball without you. My daughter did the research and though I was helping with the costs, she made the final decision as to who to choose. Amy was our coordinator, she arrived early which was so helpful since those last minute details can really be the most stressful. She was so conscientious and accommodating. We had planned an outdoor ceremony but the weather was threatening, however the last minute change to the indoor facility on the property went flawlessly. I can't say enough about how great she was. Other than Mother Nature, the day was absolutely perfect, especially with Amy's help.

Amy did a wonderful job with my wedding! I knew from the beginning she was listening to my ideas and would help me tie my wedding together. She not only created all the jewelry we wore, she worked with the photographer to make great photos. She has a creative eye and and beautiful personality. Having her as part ofor my wedding day was a huge stress reliever and joy!

All I can say is Amelia Lawrence Weddings is amazing!

Amy did an outstanding job planning our wedding from start to finish -- not an easy task! With our wedding only three days after Christmas, keeping the Holiday Season "in check" was most definitely not something I could do on my own . . .

To start off, She and I talked about an evening wedding design lit by white lights and candles. Her design also included navy blue, white/ivory, burgundy and silver, complimented with lush greenery. Even though we were married so close to Christmas, her design ensured the overall wedding feel to be "wintery" and not "Christmas-y". She brought in fresh Christmas trees from a local farm and filled the venue space with this amazing, classy winter wonderland feel. It was truly unbelievable and beyond my expectations.

Next, She reviewed menus, booked the caterer, and even brought things to my attention that I had not considered. She also incorporated her design with the florist to create simple, yet lovely bouquets that complimented the ambiance. She has a wonderful ability to work with multiple vendors to create a consistent wedding design!

The wedding day was all I had hoped for. When I walked down the aisle and saw all of the white lights, tulle, candles, and fresh roses hanging from the pews, I was elated. It was truly breathtaking.

Working with Amy was pleasant and easy. She kept me on track without hovering, and also kept our wedding day on a perfect timeline to ensure everything happened as scheduled. Her sense of style and design is unmatched and I loved everything she did. She went above and beyond to truly create the wedding of my dreams.

Trust me . . . hire Amy! You will not be disappointed, and you will get more that what you paid for. She truly pours herself into the Bride's "Big Day" and does whatever it takes to make sure their day is perfect!

I'm not sure I can write a review that gives Amy justice. She helped me from start to finish and truly made my dream wedding come true. My wedding was completely "DIY". Amy coordinated with all of the vendors and made sure the day was as seamless as possible. She assisted the florist (Vintage Floral Designs - highly recommend) with all of the decorations. She helped my vision come to life. All of my guests were in awe of how beautiful/amazing our reception was. In addition, Amy helped clean up everything after the wedding - this was a huge help. I had the best day of my life and it definitely would not have been possible without Amy. Thank you!!!

I absolutely love Amelia Lawrence jewelry, so there was no doubt in my mind where I was going to get my bridesmaids' jewelry, for my recent wedding! Keeping the design for my bridal party simple, I decided on custom earrings. Amy truly has a great eye for jewelry design and such a great talent for fashioning custom pieces. She worked with me to bring my vision to life- the earrings she made were perfect and went so well with the wedding theme and bridal party dresses! I would certainly highly recommend Amelia Lawrence for any wedding jewelry or accessory needs! Check it out!

Amy has the balance between making you feel comfortable and professionalism that stirs into a big bowl of perfection . She is easy to contact and easy to work with. And of course, her jewelry line is top quality and stunning. Amy with Amelia Lawrence weddings is one of the best in the event planner and design field! Her background in the arts with a degree in theatrical design and professional voice allows Amy to bring her gifts and talents with a high level of expertise, experience and creative flare to any event or wedding. She is extremely organized and responsive, but most importantly, she cares about making each event and wedding absolutely perfect! I loved working with Amy and highly recommend her services to anyone looking for an outstanding event planner/designer!

I understand that many newly engaged, "brides to be," will be reading this review, however, your groom will also need a planner that allows him to maintain sanity throughout the process. If you are looking for a planner that will do everything within their power to facilitate the day you have been dreaming about...stop looking and send Amy and email ASAP.
Now, let me delve a little further into this review and get to the more important facts about MY experience Amelia Lawrence Weddings. As a bride, you are undoubtedly sifting through about 8 billion pictures and asking your fiancée how much he loves/hates them. You are struggling to select that perfect beige cloth to cover the horse drawn carriage and the most romantic varieties of the rarest roses from Ecuador to adorn the centerpieces of the tables at the reception. Your fiancée comes home after a long day at work, wondering what fantastical delusions of grandeur you will impose upon him to make your, "special day," complete! Then, to your surprise you hear, "Well, Amy said this would look good" and, "Amy is looking into this to see if its possible to get this extinct animal fur to add to my dress." Your fiancée will say a small prayer over dinner thanking Amy for the attention to detail and THE PATIENCE OF A SAINT. Amy will literally save your fiancée at least 300 grey hairs and potentially several heart attacks.
Your wedding will inevitably have at least one thing go awry. Don't worry, Amy will step into the bridal room with her crew, quickly change into the super woman outfit she wears at all times and swoop in like an angel from the heavens to quickly subdue any issues. The team was professional at all times, kind, understanding and most importantly patient. I am incredibly grateful that my wonderful wife chose Amy and her team and they certainly made our day more enjoyable. Thank you Amy!

Amy was great. We did a pretty intense DIY style wedding, requiring a ton of custom design, development, planning, and vendors. Not only was Amy there with us and helpful every step of the way, she was enthusiastic which was re-assuring when we began to think we were crazy. That being said, she was also realistic, and knew the extra steps and distance we were going to have to go. Though I did not communicate as much with her as my fiance, she was very responsive by phone and email. Amy is a good listener - she quickly understood our vision, visited our farm-field wedding site early on, joined our pinterest board, and was eager to contribute with her own ideas, pins, etc. The only reason I gave Amy a 4.5 on flexibility was that day-of, she was definitely very attentive to the timeline, and ensured we kept the party moving. We needed this, and would not have had it any other way. But anyone expecting to work with Amy should be prepared to have a detailed wedding timeline for the day-of, and to have a friend and supporter in Amy making sure you keep in-step with the plan. If you want more "go-with-the-flow", just be sure to let her know. I'm confident she would be able to work with all you laissez-faire aficionados. In summary Amy was the perfect wedding planner for us - creative, a good listener, enthusiastic, collaborative, willing to work with us to do something pretty non-traditional, while at the same time, making sure we kept in time and tempo with our plan.

Amy is wonderful and was essential in pulling off our highly DIY wedding. From our first meeting she listened to us intently and was enthusiastic in sharing in our vision to pull off our natural, yet elegant, farm field wedding. This was definitely not a simple task.

Amy is incredibly responsive and flexible, she kept us on target with check-ins and was consistently available as a sounding board and planning support resource.

Both my (now) husband and I loved working with Amy. On our wedding day, I was completely carefree because I was confident that Amy would make sure everything went off exactly as we envisioned it. I highly recommend her!

I don't know how to properly convey everything that Amy was able to accomplish!

For starters, imagine getting an email from an out-of-town, panicky bride who just got engaged but has about 10 weeks to plan a wedding on a smaller budget. Amy not only read this email, but also decided "Yup! This is something I want to take on!" ;)

From the start, Amy was instrumental in helping my husband and I really focus on what was important. I like to think that part of that was our attitude going into this, but a larger portion was Amy and her guidance! She not only did the design, she did it in a way that truly felt like us in every aspect ... which was an amazing feat considering we were planning this remotely, and we met face-to-face much farther along in the planning process. She took our ideas and personalities, and fashioned them into a wedding that (I know this is cheesy) but was 'us'. I know this because that sentence has been coming out of guests mouth's nearly non-stop since!

Amy also has an extensive network of vendors, and since we were new to the area this was a godsend. I have no doubt that you can bring your own vendors to the table and she will work seamlessly with them, but in our case it was calming to know that our vendors were familiar with one another. I will also say that I never felt any pressure when working with Amy to conform to some of the more traditional "wedding machine" items ... 'Don't want a cake? It's not necessary! Feel strongly about the food? Then that's one of places we'll focus more on! Non-traditional ceremony? Cool!' ... Her outlook and joy in really making this day about YOU is amazing. We DIY'd some aspects of our wedding as well, even on a short timeline, and Amy's design eye was instrumental even in these projects!

She is professional, organized (we ran a tiny bit ahead of our timeline the day-of ... who does that?), and incredibly easy to work with. I can't recommend Amy any higher, or more sincerely!
