We had the best experience working with Gregg! He was so professional and thorough in our first call. He made sure to cover topics we hadn't even thought about for our wedding. He covered the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and everything was perfect! The dancefloor was packed the entire night, and he seamlessly blended American, Australian, and Spanish classics at our reception, which everyone LOVED! I can't recommend Gregg enough! He truly made our event perfect and created a great vibe! -

He was the greatest dj! I did not stop dancing at my wedding. Everyone had the best time. If I stepped away for a moment the next song would come on and I’d be right back dancing the night away!!! The music was one of the most important things for my big day and he beyond crushed it!! So many compliments!! Dj iron Mike is my dj for LIFE!!! -

Ambient djs are exceptional!
We cannot say enough good things about DJ Iron Mike and Ambient DJs. I was so surprised that they weren’t recommended more in the NJ bridal groups because their service was EXCEPTIONAL! We had a major storm blow through our ceremony and DJ Iron Mike adapted everything on the spot to ensure that we were able to finish the ceremony. He had the perfect mix of music and our guests danced the entire time, which is what we wanted! He was so easy to communicate with, patient, and provided great guidance during our entire planning process! He arrived to the venue early and had everything set and ready to go, and as the bride, I wasn’t worried at all! I seriously cannot recommend them more!! 10/10 and more!! -

It was a great experience working with Gregg and Ambient DJ's and their photobooth option. The pre ceremony planning was simple and organized with a call to go over any specifics and details necessary. On the day of the ceremony, Gregg handled last minute adjustments with professionalism and experience and the photobooth attendent Jeremy was also very engaging! We booked Ambient DJs for our wedding reception on August 24, 2024. We worked directly with Gregg & he did not disappoint. He was attentive to what we were looking for, professional, responsive to our messages & met us on a few occasions when we asked, personable, easy to work with, laid back, fun, friendly & overall had good vibes. He kept the party going, knew when to step in & step back. Gregg knew what kind of vibe we were looking for & executed it perfectly! The planning portal was super easy to use & had tons of recommendations as well as pre-made playlists of different genres for cocktail hour.
We added on the photo booth service as an extra & everyone had a great time taking photos.
Thank you so much! I highly recommend DJ Ambient & will be using them again in the future for any DJ services we need. -

Our recent wedding reception was made much more memorable because of the amazing work of Ambient DJs. Our specific DJ, Dre Ovalle, was a total pro. He asked us several detailed questions days before the reception to get to know us, our likes and dislikes when it comes to music and to really go deep in understanding the tone he should set for various periods of the evening. Dre kept the night moving. He made it incredibly fun for us and our guests. Music can make or break a party and Dre absolutely nailed it! Our guests had a blast and so did we. We worked with DJ Iron Mike for our wedding at the Nassau Inn in July 2024. Mike did our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We booked the “Intelligence” package that included uplighting, which looked fantastic in our venue. When meeting with Mike we told him our main goal for our reception was to have the dance floor full, and he completely exceeded our expectations. The air conditioning in our venue went out ( on a 90 degree day), and despite people sweating and overheating the dance floor remained packed the entire time! People were even dancing during meal times when slower songs were playing. We had multiple guests tell us they’ve never danced so hard at a wedding before. Mike even played an extra song after the reception was over and everyone else was packing up because my mom wanted to hear it, which really meant a lot to us. The entire process with Ambient DJs was totally seamless and all for a great price! If you are looking for a full dance floor at your wedding stop looking and book DJ Iron Mike! -

Wonderful experience with Ambient DJs & Iron Mike
We used Ambient DJS, and specifically DJ Iron Mike, at our wedding reception, and he did a phenomenal job. He worked and met with us personally leading up to the date to make sure that our reception was exactly what we wanted it to be. He was super humble and did his job extremely well. He has had a ton of experience and it shows in the quality of his work. He made the day the perfect balance of excitement and meaningfulness that we were hoping for, and it was better than we could have imagined. So many guests have told us, since the event, that the dancing at our wedding was the best they have experienced in many years. He also did a phenomenal job helping us figure out the flow of the events and activities of the reception and led us through the day smoothly. -

Better than we could have imagined
Wow! We got so lucky using Gregg Hollman as our wedding DJ. We first booked him for our May wedding back in the fall, and had our first chat with him a few months before the wedding. At that point, however, we really didn't have any idea what we wanted the night to look like. We just requested "oldies and classic songs". But as the day got closer, we realized we actually had some very specific requests. Greg was super responsive when we emailed him with some more specific requests, only two weeks out from the wedding! Using the online portal, we were able to request a number of songs to be played and other songs that we'd like to be dedicated to guests. It's so clear that Gregg used this list to come up with other great songs to keep with the vibe the whole night. So many people came up to us throughout the night and complimented the music that was played.
Another cool part is that he still kept the vibe (classic songs and new alternative rock/pop) through both the sit down dinner and the reception part. He was able to just seamlessly kick up the mood and the "party" during the open dancing.
We will be forever thankful because he got a whole room of 120 guests to be dancing all night. Thank you for a night we will always remember! -

My partner and I worked with DJ Gregg for our wedding, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. We first heard him work a friend’s wedding a year before ours, and we were absolutely blown away. In the pre-event planning, it was clear that he wanted to get a feel for the mood, atmosphere, and genres we were going for. On the day of our wedding, he absolutely nailed it. The dance floor was full nearly the whole night, and people of all ages were up there. We had lots of people commenting on how good the music was. We felt like we could barely sit down to eat because we just wanted to keep dancing! He also did a great job emceeing and being organized on top of the great song choices. We had a fantastic night, in very large part thanks to an incredible job from our DJs. And if I could give these guys six stars for value, I would. DJ Gregg was amazing. We booked him for our wedding and we are so glad we did. He had a great portal so we could send him all of our music and information ahead of time. He held a call with us before the wedding to review everything and on the day of, he was fantastic. He was so professional and kept the wedding moving along as our MC. Ambient DJs is so worth it, no matter the size
We had an amazing experience with Gregg from Ambient DJs. Our wedding was a small party of about 40 people, but the work Gregg did for our event surpassed the amount of people. We had a cozy barn venue, Byron Barn in Plainsboro, NJ, and Gregg made the whole night spectacular. From our cocktail hour area to the dance floor, even to the added ceremonial process and MC'ing. Prep work before our event was easily handled, and he was totally fine with my husband and I creating the initial playlists and just going with our vision. Highly recommend! -

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Ambient as the DJ service for our wedding. Our caterer recommended the owner Gregg personally, and he made the onboarding experience easy as he figured out which of his DJs would best match with us going by our date and our music tastes. He assigned us Chris Smith, aka DJ Spinz, and it was among the best strokes of luck we had in our entire wedding planning process.
Chris was the perfect DJ. Not only was he an attentive and skilled emcee, curating the tone and timing of the party with excellent music choices either directly from our request list or exactly in the genres we were looking for, he went above and beyond the call of duty in dozens of ways big and small. Our ceremony had to be moved indoors at the last minute due to rain, and when he saw my family struggling to build our chuppah next to the dance floor he dropped everything he was doing in regards to his own setup to help us put the unweildy poles together and keep it standing—multiple times. Any time something needed doing, he stepped in quickly and without being asked to ensure it got done. He was friendly and professional, accommodating to requests from all our guests (including the kids, whom he was GREAT with), and impressively detail-oriented. Every name was pronounced correctly, every slightly-goofy desire was delivered with aplomb (we wanted and got a Miami Sound Machine medley!), and the vibes were immaculate. He made everyone at our queer, Jewish, interracial and interfaith wedding feel welcome and joyful. I lost count of the number of times Chris came over to check on us two brides to make sure we had everything we needed. He also laughed at our jokes, which we appreciated ;)
We wouldn’t change a single thing about our experience. From the beginning the website portal to make our song selections and itinerary was intuitive and thorough, and at the end every desire was executed beautifully. We couldn’t be happier. Every wedding should have a Chris.Ambient DJs's reply:

The best!!!!!
My husband and I are so happy we chose Ambient DJs, specifically DJ Iron Mike, to DJ our wedding!!!!! Mike took the time to meet with us on zoom a couple times to talk all about our vision and our wedding plans in general. He was awesome to work with and he seemed to just get us off the bat. Other DJ companies we talked to did not compare. They seemed way over priced and generic. When we saw videos of Mike DJing online, we knew we had to have him at our wedding!! The wedding night was SO MUCH FUN thanks to Mike DJing and Lumite controlling the lights! Our guests had a blast dancing the entire night and they were raving about the music. Mike played the songs we wanted to hear and also added his own in the mix, which were spot on. Mike knew I love Beyoncé, so he had her new track ready to go even though she released it less than a week before the wedding. Amazing. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Do not think twice about hiring Ambient DJs! I live in Pittsburgh and had to pick my DJ off of a vendor list my venue provided. When I reached out to Gregg at Ambient DJs, he was wonderful from the beginning. He was quick to respond, knowledgeable, and listened to what we wanted. Chris was awesome as a DJ and MC. The music was spot on, and there were multiple people who commented positively on that. Chris asked for some music we listen to (in my case, lots of 80's hair metal), took inspiration from the playlists I sent him, and added that into his repertoire of wedding music. It was great! -

Kept The Dance Floor Jumpin and the Photobooth smiling
DJ Iron Mike was the DJ at our wedding and let me make the decision for you, book him for your wedding. He took the time to meet with us every step of the way not only to get a feel for our style of music but also to get to know us as a couple. He will make sure everyone at your wedding is on the dancefloor, including friends and family you never see on the dance floor. His ability to read the room, play songs at the right time, and pace out the night so well made the energy never die out. He also checked in with us through out the night to make sure everything was going well. Jeremy was in charge of the photobooth and his bubbly personality kept people coming through the photobooth throughout the night. He was able to encourage people to use the photobooth and make it a fun and exciting thing at our wedding. We received a ton of compliments about the music and photobooth at our wedding and it is a true testament to both Mike and Jeremy. Thank you guys for making our wedding day such a special day for not only us but everyone there. -

I’m unable to edit my wedding date in this review to the correct rescheduled date of 6/6/21, but I can’t say enough wonderful things about this company!! We booked them in 2019 for our original June 2020 wedding date, and were immediately so impressed by Gregg (owner) and Chris’ (our DJ) kindness, organization, and incredibly quick follow up to every question we sent their way (which was a lot!). They also made the one year postponement process a breeze, which was so appreciated during that stressful rescheduling period. We loved the ease of the online music planning form, and found all of their wedding music study and playlist resources for choosing our songs so helpful. Chris (a.k.a) DJ Spinz was so fun and we really appreciated that he worked with us to make sure all of our custom song requests were played/were the correct versions! He arrived at our venue early for set up, coordinated a very smooth introduction of the wedding party despite last minute changes on our end, and selected a broad range of music that all of our guests enjoyed. We can’t recommend Ambient DJs / Chris a.k.a DJ Spinz enough! -

Gregg was the absolute BEST DJ for our wedding in Stone Harbor, NJ! He was easy to work with, responded to all my questions quickly, provided us all the guidance we needed to create the best playlists for our day, AND was super affordable! Gregg and the team at Ambient DJs is absolutely amazing. As a wedding planner, it's important to me that I work with other wedding professionals that have integrity, professionalism, and will take care of my clients. Gregg and his team are extremely professional and amazing at what they do. They're organized, responsive, listen to the client's wishes, and very fairly priced. They're able to get the party going and keep it going! They also make great Emcees, which is so important to me as the planner as they're moving the day along from one micro-event to the next. DJ Iron Mike was HIGHLY recommended online so I knew I had to have him for my wedding. I was thrilled when he messaged me and said he could be available the day I got married. He was so quick to respond to all of my messages and was extremely helpful with all of his suggestions. I appreciated that he took the time to meet with me in person and via zoom to fully understand what I wanted. He played all the songs I asked him to and even songs that I didn't even tell him I wanted. He is a true professional and made so many special moments throughout the night. We had our wedding this past Saturday, 10/17. I used to work at an establishment where DJ Iron Mike would pump us all up ready to work our assess off for the night and it WORKED! I knew we had to have him for our wedding. Pricing is fantastic, professionalism on point, and the guy KNOWS HIS MUSIC!! We wanted so may different genres played that night and his transitions were seamless between all songs!! He took the time to hear our wants and he made the night so memorable. Everybody danced the night away!! (Clearly I did considered my hair and my dress at the end of the night LOL!) We used Ambient DJs for our photo booth as well and Jeremy was so welcoming. He made us a custom strip design, the night of he printed extras of each picture and put all of them into an entire album for us where our guests were allowed to sign next to their pic! An entire USB of all the photo booth pictures were also included in the album. I cant speak highly enough of Ambient DJs. If you're looking for an awesome entertainment team; look no further!! We had the best experience working with DJ Iron Mike! Before our first meeting I was nervous because I know how important it is to have great music at your wedding and I wasn’t sure if we would find a DJ that would understand that. But after meeting with DJ Mike I felt so confident and so excited for our big event it felt like the perfect dream. Unfortunately our wedding was the effected by COVID-19, so we decided to still get married on the original date but with a smaller crowd and to postpone the big event. I of course had to call DJ Mike and inform him with the news. During that phone call I was worried and stressed because I was re-planning my wedding in less than a month but DJ Mike was so understanding and wanted nothing more than to help us. He was flexible with the new dates and times I was throwing at him and with the new schedule for the mini wedding. It was a relief knowing that we had a DJ that is kind, understanding, and on the same page as us. During the mini wedding, he was able to go with the flow and make everyone feel comfortable. All my guest loved the music and DJ Mike even got on the dance floor to show us how it’s done! We had a blast dancing under the stars! I can’t recommend DJ Iron Mike enough! Not only is he a great DJ, he is also a great person! -

Mike Bacon was a fantastic DJ for our wedding! He was so professional during our wedding. He kept the energy up and the party going and also knew how to reel it in when needed ;) We were lucky to meet face to face to discuss requests but he quickly responded whenever we called or messaged with a question also. He is very knowledgeable in music selection and actually informed us on some amazing selections that we wouldn't have thought of on our own. I also gave him about 10 songs, bits and pieces, and put together an entire (semi hip-hop/trendy dance) a father daughter dance! Mike is an incredible DJ and we're so happy that we chose him, you will not be disappointed! -

Mike was incredibly easy to work with but also a true professional. He listed to all of our requests and adapted them to best fit the "vibe" of the evening. He played a wide variety of music and our guests seemed to really enjoy that and have a great time. Mike was timely with answering emails/phone calls in the planning process and answered all of our questions easily based on his years of expertise.
