It was a pleasure working with Amber and Thida. Amber was kind enough to work with our budget and still deliver exactly the ambiance and lighting we wanted for our wedding. We found Amber Event Productions by scouring wedding blogs while in search for inspiration for our wedding! The lighting and custom work she created for her clients was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! The now new hubby and I made an appt with her during our wedding planning and she was such a dear!!! She really wanted to work with us, she brought a lot of great suggestions and helped us create a sweet and elegant ambience for our special day!! Her lighting, custom canopy and dance floor with gobo were perfect touches to the entire event! A true professional!!! It really was my dream wedding!

When I started looking for vendors I had no idea where to begin. Luckily for me PW's own Par228 was using lighting as well, and she recommend Amber to me.
When I met with Amber she was very professional and helpful. Like others, she showed me a slideshow of her work; which I had seen a few on her website prior to meeting her. If you are like me you want to see the actual product and not just images of it. No problem, Amber showed me different colors of lighting, asked questions on our color scheme, etc. We decided that LED's would work best since I didn't want to commit to one color the entire night. With the LED's the colors could change throughout the night to give a certain feel. Along with the LED's we had pin spots, etc.
DH and I are so happy that we decided to have lighting at our wedding, it was money well spent. Amber and I actually had a chance encounter. I had called her even before I had gotten engaged because I used to work for a bank. From our initial conversation, we had talked about her business, and she showed me her website online-which is quite impressive because it really shows her artistic ability to make a wedding look gorgeous. She was one of the friendliest people that I have ever talked to. Well, a year rolls around, and I get engaged. I had never thought about doing lighting for my wedding until I had talked to Amber. Because Amber was so knowledgeable and friendly from our initial conversation, I had never forgotten about her. So, I searched for her online, and hired her for my wedding. Throughout the whole wedding planning process for me, I had gone to Amber with so many different changes and requests. Anyone else would have probably gotten annoyed-but Amber was so patient and nice about each request. She really understands your needs, and gets what kind of a vision you are looking for. OMG..Amber is such a sweetheart! I feel so lucky to have had her do the lighting for our wedding. She is super easy to work with and is very flexible. She was definitely one of my favorite vendors to have worked with. The work that they did completed the look at our wedding reception. She is very informative and will give you the best options based on your budget and the look and feel of the room that you are going for. She seriously does amazing work and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to another bride.OMG..Amber is such a sweetheart! I feel so lucky to have had her do the lighting for our wedding. Working with Amber Event Lighting Design was truly a lifesaver for us. Though our location provided all the lighting we needed, we went through Amber to rent all of our audio equipment. When our DJ was unable to make our wedding at the last minute, Steve and Amber went above and beyond our expectations in helping us find a new DJ literally days before the wedding. They helped us work out all the details and truly provided a service that went beyond what our original contract with them entailed. The DJ they recommended was awesome and everything with our ceremony and reception music went seamlessly.
Regardless of whether you use them for lighting & design or for sound, I have no doubt that they will provide you with the same level of exceptional service and attention on your special day as they did for us.Working with Amber Event Lighting Design was truly a lifesaver for us. I found Amber through a friend who was married last year and hired Amber do the lighting, draping and sounds at my wedding last week at the Cerritos Sheraton Hotel and it was phenomenol. She was the consummate professional and because of her experience in the industry thought of so many things that I didn't. I had her do pinspoting on my centerpieces, which ended up looking so much better. Also, she did uplighting that matched my theme colors perfectly and a gobo lighting on my dance floor that looked great. She also did gobo lighting around my room with the chinese character for double happiness, which my wife's parent's really loved. She did lighting for my cake and head table which really made it stand out nicely. I really liked the fact that the bars and buffets were lit well and looked good and were visible from far away, but it was all concentrated at that area. The entire room glowed our burgundy red theme, but the areas that we wanted to stand out did so very very well. All in all the lighting was perfect! I also have to say that she saved the day because our deejay wasn't able to take care of our ceremony music so her audio technician took care of that for us as well and coordinated all the music for our grand entrance. The draping looked really good too. My wife choose all the colors she wanted around the room and Amber matched them perfectly with two tones across the entire place. I met with three other lighting people before I hired Amber and she was by far the most professional and friendly of them all. Also, she beat the other prices by over 20% which helped us with the cost of our wedding greatly without compromising anything. Her staff was great too and even helped out with laying out our party favors when they were finished because my family was running late from all the pictures we had to take. Amber Yin transformed my restaurant. All my guests couldn't believe how lighting can change a whole venue. But I had to completely trust her because our meeting was short (cause that's my style) and I love emailing so that's how we contacted each other. She's very busy so she doesn't respond immediately but I'm pretty organized so the wait time between emails were okay cause I had plenty of time. In the end, she is the greatest! If you book her, tell her I recommended you just because I want her to thank her in every which way I canAmber Yin transformed my restaurant.
