Picking Amber Dawn as our photographer was one of the top 5 best choices we made throughout the whole wedding planning process! Amber's process was smooth from start to finish and she had the best communication we experienced out of all different vendors. She took the time to get to know us a little as a couple and really understand the look we were going for on our special day. My husband and I are not a couple that often takes lovey or romantic photos, so we knew we needed a photographer that would make us comfortable and guide us to get good poses. Amber did just that, all while making us look natural and like ourselves in the photos. Not only were the engagement shoot and wedding day photos the best we have ever seen, the time to edit and send back our gallery was amazing! We got the come home from our honeymoon and relive the day through all the moments Amber captured. My family was extra appreciative of the care Amber put into the little ones at our wedding. All our nieces and nephew have cute shots and she was very patient as we tried to wrangle the little ones into family photos. I genuinely wouldn't trade my experience with Amber for anything and am SO happy we chose her to photograph our wedding! 10/10, would recommend to all my friends! -

Hiring Amber/Dawn was hands-down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, Amber and her team were professional, warm, and incredibly easy to work with. They made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and captured every emotion, every moment, and every little detail so beautifully.
Our wedding day was pure magic, and thanks to them, we get to relive it over and over again through photos that feel alive. The way they captured the light, the joy on our guests’ faces, the tears in our eyes during the vows—every image feels like a work of art.
They were also amazing with our family and bridal party—somehow everywhere at once, yet never intrusive. Our golden hour photos? Absolutely breathtaking. And they even managed to get the perfect shot of the fireworks at the end of the night, which was something we’ll treasure forever.

Hiring Amber Dawn as our wedding photographer was by far one of the best decisions we made! I found her initially because I admired her past work at our venue, Greenville Country Club, and I was immediately drawn to her style. From our first conversation, Amber was incredibly organized, professional, and very responsive. She asked all the right questions to understand the vibe I wanted for the day and sent a detailed questionnaire that covered all the bases.
I had a very specific vision (some traditional posed shots, some documentary-style candids, and bold flash photography during the reception) and Amber completely nailed it. She and her sister handled my lengthy shot list and our very large, chaotic family with total grace and patience.
The photos absolutely blew me away. She sent a sneak peek within a week of the wedding, which was such a fun surprise. I will cherish these images for a lifetime. If you're thinking about booking Amber Dawn for your wedding, you will not regret it! I cannot recommend her enough! -

Amber Dawn Photography is simply phenomenal! From start to finish, Amber was incredibly accommodating, kind, and professional, making our entire experience seamless and enjoyable. One of the things that truly stood out was her patience and ability to make us feel comfortable in front of the camera. My fiancé now husband Steve, was a bit nervous about photos, but Amber's warm and easygoing approach during our engagement shoot helped him relax and feel confident. By the time our wedding day arrived, he was completely at ease, thanks to her guidance and expertise!
Leading up to the big day, Amber went above and beyond by checking in, making sure everything was ready to go, and helping us feel fully prepared. You won't be disappointed booking with Amber!
My fiancé and I were looking for a photographer to take our engagement photos and I absolutely fell in love with Amber's photography. She was so easy to communicate with over email and answered promptly each time. When we finally met at Longwood Gardens for our shoot, she immediately made us feel so comfortable like we were family friends catching up. Without even seeing the photos yet, I was already so excited to get them back and hang them up on our walls. We got back sneak peeks less than a week later and our full gallery back around 3 weeks after our shoot. We are so in love with our photos and I couldn't recommend booking with Amber enough! -

Amber was amazing!
I’m so grateful to have had Amber as our photographer for our wedding. The day of the wedding could be very stressful and anxiety-provoking, however, Amber has a very calm presence. It poured the day of my wedding, but Amber knew that I really wanted to take pictures on the median in front of city hall. Sure enough, she didn’t hesitate to go outside in the pouring rain to take the pictures. Her pictures are absolutely beautiful, and I couldn’t be more happy with them. I hope I get to work with Amber again some day. -

Best photographer ever!
My husband and I were lucky enough to have Amber photograph our engagement, wedding, maternity, and newborn photos over the last few years. She is so pleasant to work with, makes us feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera, and takes the most beautiful, magical, airy, mystical pictures. We have so many beautiful pictures that we will cherish forever thanks to Amber. I would 10000% recommend Amber to anyone looking for a photographer for their big events - you won’t regret it! -

Amber is not only a fabulous photographer but she is also as sweet as can be! Her photography speaks for itself. Her images are light & bright which was perfect for what we were going for in our engagement photos/wedding photos.
Amber worked with us to create a timeline for our wedding day. This made things run smoothly as we knew what to expect & so did our bridal party. We were even able to share the timeline of events with the venue & dj so everyone was on the same page. She helped make our visions come to life. At the wedding she photographed our unique ideas such as our sparkler walk out & photos with our dog.
The day was hectic & we didn’t get a chance to take photos with some items that we had intended to. But then when Amber sent the album, she had already photographed those items for us! Even though I personally was unable to wear the items, she knew it was important & it made us so happy to see.
When it came to our engagement shoot, she helped us come up with a perfect spot to take the photos. She was patient in allowing us to change our clothes & bring some added photo props.
Now that the wedding is over, we’ve still been in constant communication with her. We’ve been trying to change the settings of the wedding photo album & Amber has been tentatively responding, still helping to make changes to the website's settings. She was able to send me my wedding photos back in 1.5 weeks!
Legit every single photo she captured tells a story. It's been extremely difficult for us to choose our images for our wedding album because EVERY photo is amazing. She was able to direct us in how we should position ourselves in front of the camera. She did it clearly & in a way that made our images come out fabulous.
She has helped us to submit our wedding photos to NJ Bride. She has been a dream to work with & we would recommend her to everyone! She is amazing! -

Having Amber as our wedding photographer was one of the best wedding planning decisions we made! I had a clear vision for how I wanted our wedding to look, and I knew a magnificent photographer who can capture every detail is a critically important part of that equation to ensure me, my husband and our wedding guests can relive the day again and again.
Amber blew us away by her talent!! We looked at a few photographers in the PHL area before finding Amber, but when we found her, we knew immediately she would be the perfect photographer to capture our day.
Things that were important to us when choosing a wedding photographer:
1. Light and airy photos to capture the romantic feel of the day. This is something Amber is exceptionally phenomenal at!
2. Providing posing direction. I felt really overwhelmed by the amount of time I spent on Pinterest and I knew I would never be able to remember all of the poses I loved on the day of the wedding. Amber did such an amazing job of quickly reposing us and getting so many different shots, where we look like we know what we’re doing, without looking stiff/posed.
3. Capturing the candid moments. Candid shots have always been my favorite types of photos, capturing exactly what you’re feeling in the moment. Our candid shots are definitely some of my favorites, as they are so raw and tell the story of our wedding perfectly!
4. Making us feel comfortable in front of the camera. Both my husband and I felt awkward in front of the camera, especially at first during our engagement shoot. Amber’s expertise and inspired energy made us feel comfortable immediately and (as she promised) our photos turned out amazing.
5. Easy communication. Every time we reached out to Amber, we heard back immediately. She provided a wedding day timeline really early on in our planning, which helped piece together all of our vendor schedules in a really seamless way. This made our lives so much easier!
Right before the wedding, we had a call with Amber and she asked what photos moments are most important to us. I explained I wanted a photo of me walking down the aisle, with my father with my husband and grandfather (officiant) visible in the background. When she delivered our sneak peek, she included that photo, which was perfect and exactly what I visioned! She also included all of the special moments I told her I was most excited about in the sneak peek (cake cutting and first dance). This emphasized Amber’s care for her clients; she listened to exactly what we wanted!

Do yourself a favor and hire Amber for your wedding day! Amber did such an incredible job photographing our wedding that I’ve considered taking a sabbatical from my job so I can focus all of my time admiring her work over and over again. Amber was such a joy to work with! From the start when we first inquired all the way to post wedding received our pictures! When my husband and I were reviewing photobooks at a wedding venue, Amber’s photos stood out with their dreamy, romantic quality and amazing capture of light. When we reached out about availability, she made communicating and scheduling easy. For our engagement shots, Amber gave us her full attention without hurrying us and put me and my husband at ease with her laid-back, friendly attitude. She provided direction about the best shots, but also, she let us share some shots we wanted. On our wedding day, Amber was on time and ready to shoot. She and her second shooter were well-coordinated and worked together to find the best lighting in a difficult-to-shoot forested area and dark reception room. They flowed through the wedding day seamlessly, knowing exactly where to be to capture memorable moments. My wedding party and guests appreciated how friendly and professional they were. Remarkably, Amber sent the fully edited pictures in two weeks after the wedding, and they were better than we could have imagined. We feel our wedding was captured perfectly, and we will treasure our beautiful engagement and wedding photos. -

What initially drew me to Amber was that she mentioned on her website that “her strong background in performing arts management and years of classical ballet training have given her an eye for detail and the creativity of an artist.” This is ABSOLUTELY true. Amber is an artist and an extremely talented one at that. I loved every single one of our engagement and wedding photos. Our engagement session was at Longwood Gardens. Amber was able to see the beautiful things around us and use them for our benefit in the photos. Things that I didn’t even notice until I received the photos back! For the wedding, each photo made me feel beautiful and confident. Amber captured such amazing candid moments, memories that we will cherish forever. Amber knows how to use the natural light and surroundings to make each photo special. She captured all of the significant wedding details that were important to me. In fact, she reached out weeks in advance of my wedding to ask about my special details. She is extremely organized, very personable, professional, caring and considerate. She continually reached out to me throughout the planning process on Instagram or via email to check in. She made my husband and I feel comfortable with her, which was so important as we are both not typically people who love being in front of the camera. She kept me calm and reassured. She made everything easy, so I didn’t have to worry about it. Even though Amber is tackling two years worth of weddings in 2021 and we got married in peak wedding season, we received our photos back very quickly. We loved every single photo and the entire experience working with Amber. We cannot recommend her enough. She is the absolute best!! -

When it came to my wedding I knew that one of the most important vendors would be my photographer. I have to say I was pretty picky as I had a set image in mind so I felt finding the “right one” felt like the hardest decision. I then came across Amber’s page while searching on The Knot, and while not based in NY/NJ where I live, and my venue was, I KNEW I had to have her. I instantly fell in love with her Instagram page and website. Her work is classy, light, airy and elegant, exactly what I was looking for. My Fiance and I had talked on the phone with a few other photographers for initial phone interviews and Amber is the ONLY one who asked us our love and proposal story. Once we got off the phone with Amber we knew she was the photographer we wanted for our wedding, as we already felt like she knew us. Both our engagement photos and our wedding photos came out FLAWLESS. She knows exactly the best lighting, angles and positions. Any inspiration photos or ideas you have as well, she literally recreates. It’s outstanding. She also made us feel extremely comfortable as she was so patient and down to earth with myself and especially my husband who is very camera shy. As we were a 2020 Wedding, she was patient and genuinely checked up on us, which I could not thank her enough for.
We cannot thank you enough for giving us such a stress free and comfortable engagement session and wedding day. AND JUST WOW! We cannot get over our photo album. My friends and family have said some of the shots look like they can pulled from a magazine! It was such a pleasure to have you a part of our special day. Thank you so much. -

A friend of mine (who is also a professional photographer) was helping me research photographers in the Philadelphia area for my wedding. I really trust the eye my friend has for photography, and she said to me “If Amber is available, you must go with her!” I was so glad I reached out to Amber and she had our wedding date available.
Perfect is an understatement on how our pictures turned out. My partner and I are a little shy in front of the camera, but Amber made us feel very comfortable and coached us through everything! Amber was able to find the best backdrops and lighting and really made our pictures look stunning.
Anyone who sees our pictures always remark on how amazing they turned out. We are so grateful to have had Amber as our photographer!

Jamie Sent on 09/21/2018I'd like to start out by saying that the thing I was MOST nervous about planning our wedding was the photography. I know people who's wedding photos didn't come out too great and in my mind, the photos are the most important thing. They're the only thing you'll have to capture that day for the rest of your life.
Amber exceeded my expectations. I looked at a few different vendors and ultimately chose her because I liked her photo journalistic approach (candids are my favorite). As soon as I began communicating with her I knew I made the right decision. She is SO sweet and got back to emails super fast with excellent, informative answers. She even sent me a detailed day-of timeline when I asked her about the timing of things. Taking photos is kind of awkward. It's not every day you have someone snapping photos of you left and right. I felt so comfortable working with Amber. She made the whole process super fun and easy.
Now to the most important part...the pictures. They are AMAZING. Even photos where I'm blinking are gorgeous...seriously. She captured all of the important moments plus a ton. Her creative eye and attention to detail are absolutely amazing. I could not have asked for a better photographer. Amber is absolutely the whole package when it comes to a wedding photographer. I could not recommend more! -

Yes, of course she takes photographs; and does it extraordinarily well, but really her talent lies in capturing and freezing moments that thanks to her artful eye really will transport you back in time with each pictured memory.
She also is extremely gracious, and takes her time to listen to what you want as client, as well as give you photographs that you didn't know you needed until she sends them your way. -

Perhaps my experience with amber is unique, as other seem to like her, but I had a horrible experience with her on my wedding day.
From the moment she arrived, it was clear that she was in a bad mood and that continued throughout the day. At the time, it bothered me but I also knew that she was a photographer and not there to spread joy — so I could let this go.
The disappointing part was the delivery of the photos themselves. Firstly, she would not grant one photo ‘sneak peak’ , which is pretty unheard of. But my main issues were the photos themselves. There were less then a handful of photos that were flattering and captured the emotion of the day. In fact, my favorite photos are the ones that guest took.
She never coached us on how to stand, or how to take flattering photos. There weren’t many candids.
For a wedding that cost over $100K it was extremely disappointing to have very few images of the event.
