My fiancé and I traveled from Pittsburgh to Erie to get married and we were very worried about how planning such a big event would work from 2 hours away. Ambassador stood out from the first time we met with them. Sarah, their wedding planner, did literally everything she could over the last 2 years to make sure our day was spectacular. She is super responsive to emails and just absolutely lovely. We held our reception in the Garden Atrium and it was perfect. Their food was DELICIOUS, and everything turned out so beautiful. We also had our rehearsal dinner Friday night and breakfast for our guests Sunday morning and I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly and perfectly those went as well. The staff at the Hilton and courtyard from check in to check out were so accommodating and friendly. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a venue 😊

I cannot write enough good things about the Ambassador Conference Center in Erie, Pa. I am sooooo happy that we had our wedding there. The staff is absolutely amazing. They are so nice to work with. The facilities are beautiful. Everything is updated and clean. The food was amazing. It is a great value for the money. The majority of our guest were out of town guests so we needed a place where we could have a reception and hotel rooms. There are two hotels that are connected to the place that we had the reception so we did not have to worry about our guests driving. In addition, there are many other hotels that are affiliated with them. If you are thinking about having any kind of event there then don't hesitate. They are superb.

Our reception was gorgeous, the way they turned that room into the elegant reception hall it became was so impressive. It made a rather new banquet hall look like a glamour filled antique ball room. The staff on the day of the wedding were phenomenal and all of our wishes were granted. Working with them in the beginning wasnt as easy as they were not as responsive to us as it is rather big place and they plan a lot of events every year. As the date of our wedding got closer they became more responsive and more pro active and the end result was well worth anything else. Best place for a large wedding in Erie hands down!

I chose this venue because I felt that I could trust that they would take care of absolutely everything. They market themselves as inclusive and full-service, in addition to being higher class. I'm not a fancy person, but strongly felt I wanted to have no worries the day I got married. When the day came, it was a mess. They seemed unprepared, understaffed, rushed, rude, and were not responsive to our needs. Many of the things I expected were not done (they forgot lights on the main tables and cake table), and the things that were done were simply not as great as we expected (the food was OK the day of the wedding, whereas it was DELICIOUS at the tasting). The biggest issue for me was I had been concerned well before the wedding about climate control inside. I was reassured that if anything I might be cold. NO. It was way too hot, and they were unwilling or unable to fix it. I nearly passed out and then had to remove layers from my dress just to stay conscious. It was a nightmare.

I can't be sure if we were simply lower priority to them because I had fewer guests and a less expensive menu than the other wedding they were hosting that day, but no matter WHY their service was bad, it's unacceptable. We spent over our budget just to make sure we had no worries. We worried a lot.

When all was said and done, we tried to politely bring the venue's issues to their attention in hopes that they would do something to make it up to us, but they have been either blatantly rude or flat out ignoring me since then. When my mother met face-to-face with them, they treated her like she was on trial, and went so far as to say the event was "icy cool" despite the 160 guests who all complained of being too hot. I'm so deeply disappointed with the wedding itself AND how they're handling my follow-up. I would never recommend this place or any managed by the same team.
