This team was absolutely amazing! They were able to get me in probably more last minute than I should have left to get my wedding dress altered (during the fall of all times haha). Amazing Alterations truly saved my wedding day! After a bad experience at my first Alterations place, Amazing Alterations was able to get me in quickly for not only my wedding dress but also to modernize my Grandma's wedding dress that I wore for our rehearsal dinner. My wedding dress was full beads, had a scalloped bottom, and was measured way to large but Brenda worked her magic and for that I am so grateful! My rehearsal dinner dress was a 1957 Dayton's wedding dress that my grandma, mom, and aunt all wore and while it was no easy feat altering it to be a modern tea length dress without sleeves, Brenda did it and it was amazing. It was so special to be able to wear this family dress and my Grandma simply loved it. Would highly recommend for all your wedding alterations needs!

I am so glad I chose Amazing Alterations! Not only did they find to see me on short notice, they were very knowledgeable about the best ways to tailor my fully beaded (head-to-toes) dress. They even came up with some cool ideas to make my dress truly one of kind for my special day. Ghost train anyone? It was so cool how my beaded train shimmered and showed through the sand and lava rocks as I walked around. From tips and tricks for hair style, dress design...all the way to life hacks for the traveling bride (how to pack a wedding dress in a carry-on purse), I'm telling you that the commute over to their location (40min each way) was worth every penny! The staff are warm, very experienced, and are truly invested in making you shine like a star on your wedding day. Absolutely amazing - 5 STARS - all the way. Just call them!!

Fantastic work, boutique environment
Amazing Alterations has become of my all-time favorite places for alterations! I was referred to Amazing Alterations after purchasing my dress from Posh Bridal salon in Hopkins. From my first visit, I was blown away by the vintage, boutique interior and the eclectic style of the staff. At each appointment, I grew more excited for my day and felt the environment allowed me to forget about the day’s worries and enjoy the moment of wearing and posing in my wedding dress.
The seamstress did a wonderful job explaining bustle options, helping film how to bustle my dress for my bridesmaids and making sure my dress was at the right height so that I didn’t trip over it while dancing. The staff were easy to work with in arranging appointments around my work schedule, explaining the process and going through costs.
No matter where you live in the Twin Cities area, check out Amazing Alterations if you’re looking for a wedding dress or any alterations. You won’t be disappointed.

I asked for a lining to be added to the front of my dress and it came out just as I imagined. During the last fitting, they made sure the dress fit exactly as I wanted before leaving. The team at Amazing Alterararions were fantastic. I needed several things redone, but the hardest was the straps. I had spaghetti straps that kept falling down. They cut off the straps and relocated them further up my shoulder so they didn’t fall. It made my wedding day more stress free. Plus my dress had intricate lace. I’m 5’3” and wore flip flops so a lot of length had to be cut off. They were able to work with the delicate lace so it didn’t look out of place.

The Best Alterations
Brenda is a godsend! Living in Roseville, I wasn’t keen on driving all the way out to Anoka to get my alterations done, but Amazing Alterations came SO highly recommended that I was OK with it. When Brenda first pinned my dress to how it was going to fit me, I almost cried! It looked so good. I was so ready for my second appointment in April 2020.
Then COVID hit and I had to postpone my wedding twice. Brenda so graciously stored my dress for me until my rescheduled second fitting in September 2021. Brenda and her team had already made the first alterations from 2020 and took the bodice of my dress in. Which, as a plus-size bride, I never thought would be said about anything I ever owned. Brenda knew exactly which bustle my dress needed, and I felt so good when I left that appointment. I came in for the final fitting, and my dress fit like a glove. The team recorded a video on my phone so my bridesmaids and personal attendant could do my bustle correctly. So many people cried when they saw me in my dress. I can’t recommend Amazing Alterations enough! I felt like a goddess in my dress!

Brenda and her team worked magic on my wedding dress. I bought it in 2019 for my 2020 wedding 1 size smaller as I planned to lose weight. With Covid, we had to postpone to 2021 and I unfortunately gained a bunch of weight. My dress didn't fit at all when I tried it on for the first time again in May 2021 and I was positive I'd need to buy a new dress before my October 2021 wedding.
Amazing Alterations was able to take my dress out 3.5 sizes and make other small adjustments and it fit incredible the day of the wedding. I cannot say enough thanks to the team for all they did to ensure I was able to wear the dress I loved when all felt impossible. To make it even better, the pricing was reasonable and they did what they could to save me money. Plus the shop is so adorable and comfortable. They also squeezed me in the week of my wedding for an unexpected last minute final change I decided I wanted for the dress which took away so much stress. I'm waiting to get my dress cleaned and preserved now and know it will turn out great.
The only recommendation I'll make is that they should maybe book less appointments per day. Each time I went, the staff seemed stressed about how busy they were and my final appointment took over 4 hours which seemed a little long for the small fix they made to the dress. I understand they were short staffed that day and Brenda was off, but they were helping other people over others and myself whose appointments were way after ours and I was left waiting for long periods of time in the changing room until I hunted someone down a couple time which was a bit frustrating after they told me they'd be right with me and then went to be with someone else.
Overall, I highly recommend Amazing Alterations and cannot thank them enough for making my dress look and feel amazing for my perfect day!

Brenda and her team are wonderful. The atmosphere is incredible. I originally took my dress to a different place that was recommended by the wedding shoppe, and i wasn't a fan. A friend told me about amazing alterations so I picked my dress up and brought it to Brenda! The team is kind and they do incredible work. The name of this business is very descriptive, as I truly found them to be amazing! They are very organized and schedule all of the appointments needed, then send a Google calendar invite to ensure accuracy. They listened to my ideas and presented options. Pricing was given up front and listed separately by each alteration, so I knew exactly what I was paying for, and I could add or subtract alterations as the budget allowed. The staff was friendly and reassuring, and I never felt rushed. I especially liked that nothing was done that couldn’t be changed at the next appointment, so I could see everything that had been done and ok it before it was finalized. I was impressed with the fast turnaround, but I would definitely call as soon as possible as appointment times fill up fast, especially during the summer. I felt completely comfortable leaving my dress with them, and I was very happy with the results. I thought that their labor charges were reasonable for the amount of work that some alterations required. I would highly recommend them, as evidenced by the fact that I drove 2 ½ hours each way for multiple fittings. The wonderful service and custom fit of my dress was so worth it!

I was a bit nervous about my first alteration appointment. I had never had anything altered and only knew I wanted a few things changed on my dress. I didnt know how to say what it was, that I wanted done, but I knew I wasn't comfortable with what was already there. After discussions with Brenda, we sort of had an idea of what I was asking for. I made an appointment for 3 weeks out, came in and tried the dress on, it was awesome! I had 2 pieces of lace added (right then) that made the look complete and we were on our way home, dress in hand, within an hour! Thank you for the great work!!!

Amazing Alterations did an amazing job with my wedding dress. I ordered my dress online and it fit pretty well, but I had to have the front hemmed, support put in on the sides of the dress and three bustles added. It is a comfortable setting and everyone who works there is very polite and makes you feel at ease from the time you step into the shop. It was affordable and it only took me about 2 hours of my time for the fittings to get my dress fitted perfectly for the big day. I would 100% recommend them to anyone!

When I got my dress it was too big and the back went down extremely low. It came in with only two months to spare. I told Brenda I was self conscious about the back and she was able to completely redo the back of my dress in short notice. They were up front with costs and it was never more than they originally quoted me for.

The entire staff makes you feel so comfortable. Obviously I didn't know what I was doing and didn't know what to expect. They calmed any nerves I had AND Brenda made me feel so confident in my dress. Mine was more form fitting and I thought I had to wear all of these things under it to make me seem smaller. By the end of my final fitting she reminded me that I was beautiful and didn't need any extra stuff to look that way :) You can't put a price on that!

I cannot say enough about Amazing Alterations. I wish I could give ten stars!!!!!
I bought my wedding dress from Annika bridal in Minnesota. I then shipped my dress to Philadelphia (where I live). I got alterations in Philadelphia where I was told that the only way to bustle my dress was to remove all of the layers from the back of my dress and just leave the top two layers. I was heartbroken when I received my dress with the alterations. It looked completely different (see photos) and the woman basically laughed when I asked if we could sew the layers back in. This happened on the Monday before our Saturday wedding in Minneapolis.
I called Amazing Alterations on a whim, nearly chickening out from making the call because I felt so ridiculous asking for a Thursday appointment for a Saturday wedding (THREE DAYS before). They didn't bat an eye and made me an appointment for Thursday after our plane landed. I brought it in just hoping to feel better talking to people who cared-and they did care-SO MUCH! They were so nice! I would have left happy to just talk to them about the dress. But my mind was blown when Lindsey looked over the dress and said, "So, time is not an issue." She explained they would just sew all the layers back in. I came back less than 24 hours later to pick up my dress-completely restored to its original look with a new bustle design that held up all its layers with absolutely no issue-and it looked cute!
They honestly could have charged me whatever they wanted at this point-but their pricing was reasonable too. WHO ARE THESE MAGICAL DRESS WIZARDS??? I'm in love. Please take your dress here. Thank you Amazing Alterations!

Scheduling was easy. They explained the process and listened to what I was looking for. We had a belt sewn on, bustles added, a layer of poof removed, taken in to fit better, and added a shoulder piece. The dress looked beautiful and I received many compliments on it.

I had bought my wedding dress from David's Bridal back in November and the wedding is in August. My dress fit perfect when I bought it.....but then I lost 30lbs! I was on a weight loss program and waiting for my weightloss to plateau and once it did, I couldn't find a single place that would alter my dress in the timeframe I needed. I was then told by a friend to contact Amazing Alterations in Anoka. I made contact with a young lady named Sarah, told her my time-crunch issue and her response melted my heart! She told me not to worry, they would take care of me with no issue!! I got an appointment within a week and received my dress 8 days later! It was absolutely perfect!!! I highly recommend Amazing Alterations to anyone needing anything like this done! And to all the brides stressing about not finding the right seamstress, look no further, this team is YOUR team!

I'm so glad I found Amazing Alterations through reviews on this site! They were wonderful. According to a couple of places I called, it was "too close" to my wedding for alterations, but Amazing Alterations was able to book appointments for me with no problems! (According to my already married friend I wasn't too close, but didn't know quite what to do when I was told that!) They were kind and friendly on the phone and I felt immediately better after scheduling my appointments. I was nervous about getting my dress altered and they made me feel comfortable and beautiful. They were up front about the price (which was reasonable) and accommodating and kind when I couldn't quite decide how the back of my dress should look. In the end, it was perfect!

They seriously make dreams come true. Because of amazing alterations but more specifically Brenda I was able to have a private ceremony with my grandmother at her nursing home. Due to her being I'll we pushed the wedding way way up and I got another dress for my Nana to see. They helped me do this at an insanely affordable price and so fast I couldn't even believe it was possible. The work they did was so amazing and none of it would have been possible without them.

This was my second time using Amazing Alterations, the first was for my Maid of Honor dress for my sister's wedding, and now as a bride! They are so friendly, so responsive, and SOOO good at what they do! They did things to my dress I didn't even think was possible! When I thought I couldn't love my wedding gown anymore than I already did, Amazing Alterations took it to the next level! Brenda was great to work with and explaining my options for my gown and suggestions on how to make it look 10 times better! My experience with amazing alterations was nothing but the best. Everybody that I worked with for my wedding dress was thoughtful, caring, and extremely helpful! Everyone was very knowledgeable on how to make my dress fit me just perfectly. At all of my appointments, they took their time with me and made sure everything fit properly. Where do I even begin to describe how wonderful everyone at Amazing Alterations is? I purchased my dress from a sample sale over a year ago, but there were things about the dress I didn't love. The gals at Amazing Alterations took my vision (without any photos, just me blabbering on about my "dream" dress), and completely reworked my sample sale dress into a beautiful gown, adding a complete illusion neckline and sleeves, while still managing to have enough support after removing the original straps. They worked so many hours hand stitching all the appliqués and beading. I actually required a fourth appointment (typically brides only have three), simply because of the sheer amount of stitching required. The staff were so friendly, supportive, and transparent through the entire process. I cannot give high enough praise to Brenda and her team. We all had a good cry together after my dress was complete. I would 100% recommend all brides have their alterations done at Amazing Alterations! Oh, and I felt that the pricing was completely affordable for the quality and speed of the work.

Let me tell you, this place is AMAZING! Literally. I was skeptical at first because it was a 45 minute plus drive from my house, but after getting my wedding gown altered there, I will never go anywhere else for formal dress alterations. The people there are the kindest and sweetest people you will ever meet and they know everything about altering dresses. They insured that my dress fit exactly like I was envisioning! At my last fitting, I had lost some weight and the dress was a tad too big, they made sure it fit perfectly and altered it on the spot before I walked out the door. Wonderful experience getting my dress altered. I was able to get in easily, and they worked with me to alter it to fit my needs (we shortened it, took off sleeves, opened the arm holes a bit more, added a simple belt and added a simple bustle). Brenda and everyone at Amazing Alterations were so wonderful to work with! From the first phone call, they asked about my dress, explained how the alterations experience worked, and told me how many appointments I would need. For my final fitting, I got a flat tire on the way to the appointment and showed up 10 minutes late, and they were still so understanding and fit me in to get my dress.
My dress fit perfectly and the bustle was awesome. I recommend that all brides visit Amazing Alterations!

When you try on your dress the last time they make adjustments right then and there which I really liked. The staff was attentive and helped to create the look I was going for. I don’t think I can ever go anywhere else now that I’ve gone to Amazing Alterations! Their staff are topnotch, friendly and professional. Throughout your visits there can be downtime as someone is pinning you or making a quick adjustment so their front desk clerks often are walking around small talking with guest to keep them almost ‘entertained’ throughout their appointment versus standing in silence a lot. I had gone to Amazing Alterations previous to have a dress altered and my Maid and Matron of Honors both got their dresses altered here as well. From all of those visits being different dresses, different alteration needs and difference price points they all received the same great service. It’s great to see that they put the same amount of care into a bridesmaids dress as they do a wedding dress.

I could not have asked for a better service for my dress alterations and then preservation after the big day! Everybody at Amazing Alterations was incredibly nice and beyond professional. I felt comfortable the minute I walked in the door. The shop is adorable, and their work is phenomenal! Everyone's passion for helping brides look gorgeous on their special day is evident in how they treat every person who steps foot in their studio. My dress needed a few minor alterations, but my dress was pure lace and beads. I was SO nervous about how it was going to turn out (and I was nervous that it was going to cost me and arm and a leg). But Brenda was magical and affordable! My dress was very figure fitting, and I was very particular with what I had in mind about the end product, and she matched my vision and then some! She even cut my number of appointments down from 3 to 2 because I was driving from quite a ways away, so when I picked up my dress on the second day, she took time out of her busy schedule to fix last minute details on my dress! That day! She had beautiful ideas about adding a hoop under my dress to give it some more body, and she helped me every step of the way with figuring about the best way to slide in and out of the dress. All of her assistants were incredible too! I went back almost 6 months after my wedding to drop off/pick up my dress for cleaning and preservation (which was incredible too!), and the assistant REMEMBERED MY NAME WHEN I WALKED IN THE DOOR! They were all beyond amazing!! I can't recommend Amazing Alterations enough!

Amazing Alterations did my alterations to my delicate, couture hand-beaded wedding gown and did a phenomenal job. It fit me like a glove when they were done. They also turned my mother's 90's wedding dress with poofy sleeves, a huge train and a gigantic bow on the but into a beautiful and elegant tee-length reception dress, which I revealed to my mom and all of our guests for the first time after our first dance. It was really special and she was blown away by how different yet beautiful it looked.

OK--if you need alterations, you'd be CRAZY not to go to Amazing Alterations.
I purchased my dress from Posh in Wayzata, and they highly recommended Amazing Alterations. Being from Fargo, ND, I was hoping to do alterations a little closer to home, but I decided to at least stop by and check it out.
These gals are the best! They are so knowledgable! They altered my dress in the most efficient and cost effective manner. I had no hesitations leaving my dress there, or making 3 special trips down for alterations. Scheduling was a breeze, too! Even though we're from Fargo, I plan to use Amazing Alterations again in the future!

I would highly recommend Amazing Alterations! Brenda and the team do truly incredible work. The location was a little far of a drive, but it was well worth it. The shop is simply adorable, and the ladies are so friendly and helpful. A great value for your money, too!

If you are looking for a friendly and trustworthy seamstress that produces awesome quality, please use Amazing Alterations. Admittedly they can be a bit aoebdy, but my dress was a full tulle and lace alone dress with a boned corset top; a less complicated dress would be less expensive for alterations.
The owner Brenda personally made the final touches on my dress and was amazing to work with.

I really liked working with Amazing Alterations. I bought my dress at a consignment shop, and had a considerable amount of alterations I wanted to make in order to make this dress my own, such as changing the neckline, back, and adding more sparkles. I also lost weight right before the wedding, but they had no problem taking it in on my last fitting. They also had some great suggestions on what else to change with my dress. The end result was amazing!

My dress came in and was 5 sizes too big! They were able to get it to fit just perfectly. During the last fitting they took time to make it fit just 3 days before our big day. You want to look great on your wedding day & I think it all starts with how comfortable you feel in your dress. They also altered my husband's tux and since he was from Germany, they got his tux to fit EUro style for him and was perfectly slim. They are worth the 45 min drive from the cities! Highly recommended.

Brenda and her team at Amazing Alterations did a fantastic job with my wedding gown! I received so many compliments on the fit of the gown and especially on the amazing bustle. I was a little nervous with my gown (given the extensive beading and how expensive it was) but Brenda is extremely knowledgeable and explains every step to you so you know exactly what will be happening with your dress. At every appointment, I could tell how much Brenda loves working with brides; she and her team made me feel special and were very attentive to any needs I had. My sister also had her bridesmaid gown altered with Brenda, and both of our dresses looked amazing the day of the wedding thanks to the great work of Brenda and her team. It was more than worth the drive up to Anoka to have our dresses altered!

I can't say enough good things about Brenda and her team. Due to a designer error, my wedding dress arrived 4 sizes too big -- 3 weeks before my destination wedding date. I was so anxious about how my dress would turn out given the extensive alterations and the tight timeframe. From the moment I first called Amazing Alterations to book an appointment, my mind was put at ease! They assured me that they could handle the alterations and my quick turnaround time, and they delivered on those promises! I felt so comfortable every time I went in for a fitting (I had 4 appointments in 3 weeks, so I was there a lot!) - and my dress turned out PERFECTLY. I am so happy I went with amazing alterations for altering my wedding dress! Their salon is beautiful and gives you such a nice feel while you are there. They are very professional and you can tell that they have years of experience behind them. They knew so much about my specific dress when I brought it in, including what usually looks better once altered. They do a lot of the alterations on the spot, and put you in a robe while waiting. This was especially great for the last fitting, because they could make last minute changes before I took the dress home. I looove how my dress came out! I would highly recommend them.

They explain what (and why) they are doing at each appointment. They provide an estimate before they start alterations so there are no pricing surprises. Thank God for Brenda! She saved me! My dress was available to pick up one week before my wedding. So, on the day I picked it up, I, went straight to her shop...well, I tried to. She squeezed me in, because of my time frame, but then I was lost trying to find the shop for 1.5 hours! She still fit me in, even tho I was late. When I put my dress on, it was BIG. and I was nervous. A few days later, it was perfect! Brenda and her staff were fabulous! The first visit was at the end of a very busy day and I was forgotten in a back room for a few minutes. After that little hiccup, my next two appointments more than made up for that tiny error. Brenda made me feel so comfortable, chatting away while she did her work. The other ladies in the shop were also really helpful, warm, and made me feel pretty during a nervous time. I should mention that I am not a girly-girl and this attention on me and my dress was not anything that I was used to, so that speaks wonders. Also the decor was spectacular! Such an amazing experience! I bought my wedding dress at a consignment store and needed to fix the zipper, tighten the bust area, and cut a train that consisted of 6 layers of tulle. Brenda & the rest of the staff were great to work with and really helped complete my vision for my wedding dress. Although the wait time can run a little long (which is understandable), it's totally worth it! I am extremely happy with my dress now and I am glad I got rid of the long train! From the moment you step into the Chic Cave, you are made to feel as if you are their most important client. You can tell that everyone there loves their job and is very professional. I asked for a bustle and a hem done on my dress and the cost came in at a fraction of what David's Bridal was going to charge me.
