Wedding cake

Sad to see y’all closing but happy we could get our cakes from y’all. We knew right away our wedding cakes would come from y’all since my family uses y’all for our birthday cakes. Thank you for the yummy and pretty cakes. They turned out amazing.

Delicious and great looking cake!

Amaru Confections did the best job on my wedding cake, it looked exactly the way that I wanted and pictured. They were helpful at the cake tasting appointment and they answered all my questions. It was delicious, moist and beautiful! My husband loved the cake as much as I did, he loved it so much that he came up with the idea of having Amaru Confections making a single tier cake that is exactly the same as our wedding cake, for us to eat and enjoy on our one year wedding anniversary.

Fantastic!!

Amaru confections made us a gorgeous wedding cake. We couldn't have been happier with the outcome! And they delivered everything as expected! Would definitely recommend.

Amaru is Amazing

I will always recommend Amaru. They did my graduation cake a few years ago with a different owner and now my wedding cake and honestly never skipped a beat. We worked with Amber the whole time and she was always communicating with us to make sure things were great. I cannot for a time when I can work with them again.

Our cake was beautiful! They were very professional and on time. They delivered it and places real flowers we had provided on the cake. Everyone said it was delicious. I highly recommend them!

With being gluten free I wanted a cake I could eat and they were the best!! We got so many complimats on our cupcakes, they were delicious and awesome!!!

My cake looked and tasted amazing! I brought in pictures of what I wanted, and they knew exactly how to make it work. Going in for the tasting, everything tasted so good, but we went with the raspberry champagne and the Guinness chocolate to our white/chocolate layers. They were the best! And for less than $20 they can make us another topper to eat on our anniversary, so we don't have to eat a frozen cake. I can't wait!

There is a reason that Amaru is rated so high - they have the BEST cakes in town. We tasted countless other bakeries at the Wedding Party show but the one that stood out to us all was the Strawberry Champagne cake with Buttercream frosting from Amaru. The cake was beautiful and people are still emailing me for the name of the bakery a week after wedding.

You will not be dissapointed - we were so happy to have selected Amaru and Chris was great to work with!

Talk about deliciousness! Our cake was yummy, and beautiful. I highly recommend them if you want a cake that will be memorable! They took my vision and created a cake that was great. My wedding day was hot, so they made a judgement call to not set the cake out right away. Thank you Amaru Confections :)

They are so awesome to work with, they will give you whatever you want and they're reasonably prices. Plus their cakes are DELICIOUS. Their lemon huckleberry is to die for.

I have ordered two other cakes from Amaru and knew they were the only option for our reception cake. Not only was the cake absolutely stunning but it tasted amazing!!

Amaru was wonderful to work with. Although we initially purchased our wedding cake from them we have continued to purchase at least on cake form them every year since. They've even helped with my sons special dietary needs. Now they've opened their shop only two blocks from my office and it takes all my will power to not grab cupcakes and snacks everyday!

One of the main reasons we had looked at Amaru Confections when we had been looking at cakes, is they have multiple flavors of cake and fillings which was important to me. When we met with Amy she was fantastic, made us feel comfortable and helped us with everything. I was so excited to see the finish product of our wedding cake when the ceremony was over and it was BEAUTIFUL. The cake and cupcakes we a hit. Everyone loved it all. We had just a little bit of cake left over by the end of the night. Cupcakes were a huge hit as well and the were gone. They did an outstanding job with the colors and everything looked perfect. This was happy bride. I had even went back and ordered our 1 year cake from them. In all honesty any special cakes that I will need, I will be ordering from them. Even my graduation cake from nursing school I will go to them and have them design and make it for me.

Amaru was such a pleasure to work with, and it was hands down the best wedding cake I've ever tasted. In fact, I've been there almost weekly since to buy cupcakes because I've become obsessed with their buttercream. When we met, they listened to what we wanted, used our photos for inspiration, and made three cakes that were even more beautiful than the inspiration pictures! I had lots of questions throughout the planning year and they were always quick to respond. They delivered the cakes to my venue on time and even arranged the flowers on the main cake. Amaru was even able to accommodate our last-minute request for gluten-free vegan cupcakes (our guests raved about them!). On top of all of this, they are also extremely reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Amaru for any event and plan on visiting them again and again to get my cake fix. Thank you!

Chris was truly amazing to work with from beginning to end of our planning process. He was very accommodating of my design requests for the cutting cake we ordered, and very careful to let me know what was gluten free- they take dietary needs very seriously which is much appreciated. The cupcakes we ordered for our guests were unreal- giant, beautiful, and had people swarming! I had a hard time narrowing down the many flavor options, but the ones I did pick were a big hit. They are still receiving rave reviews, and I've had more than a handful of people ask where we found such delicious cupcakes. We would NEVER dream of going to any other vendor when in need of cake or cupcakes- it's Amaru for us from here on out!

This cake was beautiful! It was exactly how I pictured it. It arrived on time and communication was great. We got Lemon huckleberry, pink champagne and salted chocolate - with buttercream frosting. Everyone LOVED it. We also got gluten free cupcakes for our non flour eaters- and those went over very well too. Best gluten I would highly recommend them.

Our wedding cake was AMAZING! We planned everything from California for our event in Eagle so there was of course an extra challenge. The day of the event our cake was perfect. The flavors, the look, the layout, everything was extraordinary. Thank you to Amaru Confections for your amazing work!

We loved our wedding cake from Amaru Confections.

When it came time to select a company to design our wedding cake there was no question when I booked an appointment with Amaru. I had been at parties privies to my wedding planning days and had remembered how amazing the cakes not only looked, but tasted.

I went in and sat with Aimee- I had a few pictures from Pinterest along with nothing but ideas in my head! She was able to draw up a preliminary sketch for my idea so that I could envision the idea and I loved it. Both Chris and Aimee were easy and enjoyable to work with and that makes all transactions easy especially when one has so much planning going on. I recommend Amaru Confections to anyone interested in cake/cupcakes

Just had my wedding last weekend and the cake and cupcakes we ordered were absolutely amazing! The cake was decorated beautifully, and looked just how I had imagined. We got the Guinness chocolate cake with Irish cream filling, and it was absolutely amazing, people are still commenting on how yummy it was! We also had vanilla cupcakes with lemon curd that were also delicious and fan favorites.
One of the best parts though was the option to have gluten free cupcakes. We have several family members with gluten sensitivities and they usually have to forego desserts, so having yummy chocolate cupcakes that were gluten free was such a treat! I think my uncle had three. :)
Delicious, beautiful cakes and cupcakes! Would definitely work with these folks again.

I ordered my daughter’s wedding cake by phone from Alaska. I had a design in mind and I sent pictures of what I would like her cake to look like. We also had some children attending the wedding and we ordered 12 matching cupcakes. This was the most beautiful wedding cake I have ever seen. We loved the flavor of red velvet and cream cheese filling. I could not have been more pleased. It arrived on time and was the star of the show and well worth the money!! I needed a small cake for my wedding for cutting purposes only and emailed Chris from Arizona back and forth and sent him only a few images of what I was looking for. The day of the wedding, my cake was stunning! It had an old hollywood and glamorous look with crystal and it was just beautiful! They did an amazing job and I was so happy with my cake!

Amaru Confections made mini-cupcakes for my daughter's wedding. We ordered vegan, gluten-free and regular cupcakes....they were all absolutely delicious! Chris was so easy to work with and was responsive to all my inquiries. I wouldn't hesitate is recommend Amaru Confections!

The cake was beautiful and tasted amazing!!!! We even took the leftovers home and had wedding cake for a week and did not get tired of it! Soooo yummy! They were so nice! Before I met them, I had to cancel my previous cake vendor because she had homophobic views on painting a rainbow feather on my cake (I had worked in the GLBTA and I wanted it to be a part of my wedding).

When I canned that cake team, I contacted Amaru and they responded immediately! They were so kind and understanding and helped me with my cake even though it was just four months away. Their flavors were wonderful, and their cake design was great! I had a three tier hexagon cake with painted blue feathers (And a few rainbow feathers) topped with a bride and groom Android, that they custom made with fondant based off a picture I sent them. They were so wonderful and did a great job!

I actually recommended them to my boss at work (Who I found out was getting married in a week at the time) and they were very accommodating to her and her wedding as well (She picked up her cake, though, they just made it. Her wedding was far away). Anyway, great service. Super friendly and not discriminatory at all :)

I have nothing but good things to say about Amaru. We ordered a three tier cake and selected a different flavor for each tier. Even though they didn't have Amaretto flavored cake as one of their options, they offered to make it for us. The cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious. We also had cupcakes for the children and they kids loved this! Definitely recommend Amaru for your wedding cake

Aimee was so great to work with! My cake came out gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. We decided to go with Amaru after her cake won my taste taste at the January Wedding Party Show. We planned our wedding from Seattle so all of our interactions were over the phone or email. She sent me some idea sketches and I tweeked it around and sent them back. We designed my cake to match my dress so I sent Aimee tons of pictures and fabric and lots of annoying emails. She never once seemed annoyed or frustrated with me. She seemed excited to make the cake!

We only had 100 guests but I wanted a pretty big cake so the size we got fed 134 guests. We figured, worst thing is that we'd have a ton left over but we could freeze some or give it away later. We had 7 pieces left! I think a lot of guests actually had 2 or 3 pieces! We knew it was delicious but apparently everyone else did too! Thank you, Aimee, for your hard work.

Aimee at Amaru did an incredible job on our cake and was very affordable. The cake was beautiful and two weeks after the wedding I'm still getting compliments from people that it was the most delicious cake they've ever tasted. She was really flexible with us and really open to suggestions when it came to getting exactly what I wanted, I even talked to her just two weeks before the wedding to add a grooms cake and she did it was no problem at all - which ended up being an exact replica of a Makers Mark bottle, which was flawless. We couldn't be happier with Amaru!

Amaru Confections is the way to go for a gorgeous and absolutely DELICIOUS wedding cake! Seriously, don't waste your time with other vendors... schedule an appointment with Aimee and Chris ASAP. :-)

We had gone to 2 other bakeries for a cake tasting, after Amaru, before we decided that neither came close to Amaru. They were very flexible with us even when we had a few appointment snags, and their cake flavors/combos are on a different level than anything else I've encountered. Thankfully, we had extra cake after the ceremony, to enjoy loooong after! Definitely will be using them again, for whatever else I want to celebrate... big or small!

Chris & Amy were great! For starters we tried several big cake makers in town for our wedding, we tried Amarus 3x everytime they were the moistest! They made us a million mini cupcakes (okay 620 or so) and they were able to rent us a cake stand at the last minute when "planned one" fell through! Super great company to work with - I'll be ordering more in the near future (especially since there wasn't a single cupcake left at the end of our wedding)!

Amaru Confections made our wedding cake last year for our October 2, 2010 wedding. It was a square, white with brown stripe ribbon cake and we added some orange rose petals to it. Anyway, we just celebrated our one year anniversary. My mom saved the top layer for us to eat on our anniversary and we just wanted to say how delicious and wonderful it was. It tasted just as good one year later as it did on our wedding day. What a treat for us to have that dessert, it triggered all kinds of memories from our special day. So we owe a big thanks to you and your folks for a beautiful cake and a thank you to my mom for preserving it so well for us in the freezer.

Chris at Amaru Confections was a pleasure to work with from the moment we walked into the store to the delivery of our beautiful cake. He was extremely flexible in scheduling a cake tasting for us being that we were planning the wedding from Las Vegas and had to fit appointments in on short weekend trips to Idaho. He was easy to get in touch with and was very open to all of our ideas for cakes, keeping the price within a reasonable range. The cake was AMAZING, beautiful and just delicious. Our guests loved it and a few even said it was the "best cake they had ever tasted". Aimee makes the best cakes, I thought I would have a lot of leftover cake at the end of night, but at the end my guests had taken so much home that all we had was one piece plus the top of the cake, which we couldn't wait a year to eat. The cake itself was also beautiful, it had a diamond pattern in the icing with edible pearls, my guests couldn't believe that a cake that beautiful could be that delicious.

Aimee made my wedding! I told her the basics I wanted (including a tiered cake made of cheesecake), and she communicated her ideas, all of which included my desires and more, and continued to communicate with me to make this beautiful and delicious wedding cheesecake that was better than I could have imagined. My ideas necessitated someone who was knowledgable and innovative and she performed impeccably. Her imagination and ability to execute her vision in a cake is priceless. Aimee was sweet, professional, and understood the uniqueness and the importance my wedding had for me, my husband, and our families. Also, the price was less than any other quote I obtained and she was far more flexible and more communicative than the other vendors I spoke with.

Amazing cake! I found a picture on the internet and they were able to make it look almost identical to what I wanted! There were a couple issues with pricing, but they worked themselves out with come creativity on my part. They were easy to work with and the cake was beautiful!

The cake was both beautiful and delicious. People are still talking about how flavorful the cake was and it is still some of the best cake I've ever had. My wedding had 300 people, so we bought enough cake to serve 350 just in case. That meant a 5-tier cake served 140, and then two side cakes to cover everyone else. Unfortunately at the wedding, we somehow served everyone with 1 and a half side cakes. We didn't even cut into the main 5 tiered cake and had to take it home at the end of the night! The servers weren't cutting super small slices either. If you're ordering from Amaru just keep in mind they might be overestimating serving sizes.

I used Amaru for our wedding cake, grooms cake and cupcakes.
All of the cakes were amazing. I am a baker, and have made several wedding cakes.
Amaru's cakes did not disappoint. The Guinness Chocolate Grooms Cake with Salted Caramel filling was a huge hit. We ordered way more cake than we had guests and we barely had any left overs. It was that good! Our wedding cake was gorgeous, just like the picture we discussed. Our initials were piped on fondant dots, the color of the piping was a little off, so that's why I didn't give them a perfect 5 stars. Other than that our two tier mini wedding cake was gorgeous. Great work with butter cream & fondant, the look of the cake was flawless.

The cakes were boards that did not fit the cake stands we had, but I don't blame them for that... That was my communication error. It did not effect our special day, and the cakes & cupcakes by Amaru looked lovely on our cake table.

The customer service offered by Amaru is excellent, far superior to another popular vendor who I also contacted regarding our wedding cake. I added the groom's cake 1 week prior to the wedding, and their response was no problem. They are very easy to work with.

I would definitely recommend Amaru for any of your cake & cupcake needs.

I booked Amaru for my bridal show and my wedding because they do gluten free. We have a small gluten free carrot cake cutting cake with cream cheese frosting that was absolutely delicious! Everything else was gluten free and regular cupcakes. Everyone loved all of the flavors and were even questioning if the gluten free items were actually gluten free because they were so good! Amaru is a bit spending but very tasty!

We picked Amaru confections because we had heard how delicious their cakes were- and it was true! Our wedding cake was absolutely delicious! They also worked with me on creating a design that I loved. The only con I had was that I originally wanted butter-cream frosting, and Amaru recommended that I upgrade to fondant to be sure that my cake would 'stay put' on the big day which was an outdoor wedding. So I chose to pay more for all-fondant, AND we brought the cake indoors into the air-conditioning until we were ready to do the cake cutting. Even with these precautions, the cake was already starting to topple very soon after it arrived at our venue, and so we had to rush the cake cutting and do it much earlier than planned. I was disappointed to have a leaning cake in our wedding pictures.
At least that cake tasted amazing!

Our wedding cakes looked amazing and they tasted even better! The grooms cake, a Guiness bottle top was a big hit at the wedding and then we guest found out it was Guiness cake they loved it even more! We have got so many compliments on the cakes for their taste and look. I had no idea what I wanted going into this but after my first meeting with Amy we designed a cake I knew I was going to love. On the wedding day they were on time and communicated with me well. I would defnitely reommend them to anyone and I will definitely be using them again for other events!

We ordered the vegan spiced chai, vegan chocolate, vegan red velvet, and vegan & gluten free vanilla.

Positives: They all tasted amazing! And I really loved how my cake turned out. It totally fit within my theme and tasted amazing!

Negatives: The day of our tasting, they prepared all non-vegan options for us to try. When they realized their mistake, they had nothing available for us to try. Even though we asked for all vegan cupcakes/cake, I noticed 6 weeks before my wedding, that the frosting on all the cupcakes and the cake were not vegan. Thankfully, I noticed early enough that we were able to get it fixed. They could work on their customer service skills.
