We absolutely loved working with Amanda Rai Photography! Amanda and her husband photographed our wedding, and we truly enjoyed every minute we spent with them. They were so easygoing, fun to be around, and made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera.
From getting ready in the morning all the way through the reception, they made everything feel effortless and fun. They captured our day exactly how we hoped they would, including so many little moments that we didn’t even realize were happening at the time. We absolutely love how our photos turned out and have had the best time looking back through them!
We couldn’t have asked for a better photography team to spend our wedding day with. Amanda and her husband were amazing from start to finish, and we would recommend Amanda Rai Photography over and over again! -

We’ve had such a wonderful experience with Amanda and her associate Caroline. From the very beginning, Amanda has been incredibly organized and thoughtful, providing so many helpful resources to guide us through wedding planning. It made the whole process feel so much less overwhelming, and we always felt like we were in great hands.
When it came time for our engagement session, Caroline was amazing to work with. She was so flexible with scheduling, which we really appreciated during a busy season, and she made the entire shoot feel fun, relaxed, and natural. She gave just the right amount of direction to make sure we looked our best without ever feeling posed or stiff.
Amanda delivered our photos quickly, and the preview and blog post she shared in the meantime were such a sweet touch. The pictures turned out beautifully, and we’re so grateful for the care and talent both Amanda and Caroline have poured into this experience.

They were organized, communicative, and brought such a calm, positive energy to the day. We truly felt like they cared about capturing us, not just the poses, but the emotion and feeling of the day itself, which was exactly what we wanted. Although we didn't get the pleasure of meeting Amanda in person, she was wonderful to work with as well. We highly recommend Amanda for couples looking for 'light and airy' wedding/engagement photography. We knew we made the right choice going with Amanda Rai Photography after our first meeting. Planning for a wedding can be stressful, but Amanda, our photographer (felt like our mvp wedding planner!), helped make us feel more at ease every step of the way. She pro-actively provided us detailed timelines, was flexible in adjusting our engagement shoot date due to rain and her warm demeanor always made it a pleasure to communicate with her. We purchased the wedding package which includes the complimentary engagement photoshoot session and we highly recommend couples to do this. The main reason why is it allows the couple to be comfortable; not just with her team, but in front of a camera. Whether it's the minor details or big moments; Amanda's team understands how to capture every aspect of the wedding. Both our engagement and wedding photos turned out to be perfect. Amanda's team delivered the photos ahead of schedule. We've received so many compliments on the photographs, but really the quality speaks for itself. ARai Review!
We are absolutely thrilled with our decision to choose Amanda as our wedding photographer! We just completed our engagement photoshoot, and the locations she selected in Portsmouth were breathtaking. The poses she suggested were both easy to execute and looked phenomenal in the final photos. Our friends and family have been raving about the photos we've shared with them so far!!
Throughout the photoshoot, Amanda made us feel completely at ease, and we had a fantastic time. Her friendly and professional demeanor made the experience enjoyable and stress-free. If you haven’t booked your wedding photographer yet, run and inquire with Amanda Rai Photography ASAP. I have not even had my wedding yet and I could not recommend her and the ARai associate team enough. From our first conversation, Amanda was extremely personable, professional and informative - I felt like I was communicating with a friend right off the bat which is great to have in a photographer that you’ll be working so closely with! We met Caroline, who is part of the associate team, in Portsmouth, NH for our engagement session and we couldn't have left happier. Caroline was extremely fun to work with and the shots came out beautiful - she knew the perfect spots and was able to capture exactly what we were hoping for. Along with the photos being great, we received them much fast than I expected and were able to share them with our friends and family who loved them! VERY quick sneak peeks (which everyone wants to see right away!) and a full album pretty quickly after. I can’t wait to continue to work with Amanda and have Caroline be the lead shooter at our wedding in September 2023! -

Look no further - you’ve found your angel
Amanda and her team are awesome. Immediately, we felt so comfortable with their energy, vibe, and professional presence. I love having a team of women who are empowered, structured, and love to work together. It was amazing to do an engagement shoot before the big day to get more comfortable in front of the camera and be able to connect with our lead shooter. We were so excited to see Chelsey again for our wedding day. We knew that we were in good hands. She kept us on timeline and had great notes of all the different shots I wanted. She and Mel created total magic that day and made us feel calm and confident. Since we were working against wind and weather, they were quick to improvise. After the sneak peek, Amanda was so quick to get us a bunch more photos almost right away and ahead of schedule for the rest of the photos! It was such a treat! She is such a great business owner and really takes pride in her product. I had requested a few minor tweaks to some photos and she responded so quickly and made them look perfect. We have definitely found our photographer for the future family photos in A Rai as well don't wait - BOOK THEM NOW!! -

Amanda is Amazing!
I have hired Amanda to shoot my wedding in August of 2023. She was great throughout the hiring process and answered all my questions! She set up a zoom call for me to virtually meet her and talk about my wedding plans!
She has been great to communicate with and her blog is so fun! We had our engagement shoot with her and our wedding! Leading up to the wedding Amanda answered any questions I had, and we had a call the week before the wedding to discuss details.
Her and her team were amazing the whole day and she provided everything she promised. The photos were just as I expected based on what was on her website and social media.

AWESOME photographer all around
Amanda herself is amazing, but even better is knowing that her associate team will also knock it out of the park! Due to some rescheduling (thanks, COVID), my husband and I ended up with her associate team and LET ME TELL YOU did they do a great job! Not only did the ladies show up early, but they stayed a bit late to help us capture a few last-minute shots. They were so friendly, helpful, and excited to be there. They worked great with the videographer, each team building off the other (which worked out perfectly)! The team has been perfectly curated by Amanda to have not only great photography skills, but to be kind and just a wonderful addition to the wedding day. We felt like they were additional guests at our wedding (in a good way) because they were so fun to be around!
The ladies remembered very specific details that we only mentioned once or twice and made sure to photograph those things! They were firm and kind with our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and family to make sure we got all the necessary shots! Really, you couldn't ask for more.
Also, Amanda was so quick to help when we needed to reschedule. We were originally scheduled for 2021, but couldn't end up doing our wedding on that day. She jumped right into helping us figure out how to reschedule and we couldn't be more grateful for her flexibility and willingness to help us out during COVID!
The gallery was delivered EXTREMELY quickly (we were married on 7/30 and it was delivered within about 3 weeks) and we are so excited to look through it more in the upcoming days/weeks.

I don’t know if I can put into words how great Amanda and her team was-if you are thinking about booking her, READ THIS REVIEW. Photography was my #1 goal; we spent hours reading reviews, interviewing photographers, and I knew from our first interview with Amanda that she was perfect for us. Not only is she SO organized (as someone who is type A this was fantastic) but she truly makes you feel like you are her friend. She is warm, bubbly, and encouraging which is what you want on your wedding day.
Fast forward to the wedding-she made me and my entire bridal party feel SO comfortable. She knows exactly how to pose you to get the perfect shots, and she is a true hype girl the entire time. THE PHOTOS ARE STUNNING (seriously), and she even has an Ipad where they are up at the wedding to see a sneak peek. She’s so prompt at returning photos, and so communicative. We also just got a surprise in the mail of a framed photo she sent us.
My mom and entire bridal party are still RAVING about how fantastic she was and how beautiful the photos are. Don’t walk, but RUN to book Amanda, I promise you won’t regret it :) -

Amanda and Chelsey are simply the best! If you are looking for a bright and airy style photographer in the NH area, then Amanda Rai Photography is the one to go to! I am absolutely blown away by how amazing our wedding photos came out! Her photographs are so natural and she incorporates so much movement into her photographs. Not everything is your standard portrait, which I love. They really captured the joy we felt in all the photos. There isn't one photo I wished I had or any shot I felt we missed out on. They captured it all!!! It was so hard to choose what I should share here because we have too many favorites to count.
Outside of the team's photography skills, Amanda puts in the extra touch to make her clients feel welcome and excited for their big day! After working with us at my best friends wedding and now ours, we are really going to miss seeing her! We are so happy we chose her and her team! Amanda Rai Photography is the ABSOLUTE best! From the first meeting I had with her, I knew she was the one for the job. Amanda was the first vendor my fiance and I booked for our wedding and it was the easiest and best choice we made! My fiance and I were not very comfortable around the camera but Amanada made our wedding day so fun and enjoyable! She made us feel right at home from the get go. OBSESSED is an understatement. I truly have never felt so beautiful and felt so much love through images until I saw my wedding pictures! Amanda is the definition of a professional, and through every step is SO clearly good at her job. Her communication has always been quick and informative, and we were able to set up our engagement shoot to be the perfect day and time. Our shoot felt like it went by so quick, but that's because Amanda knows exactly what to do! She was clear and specific for every pose (which was helpful for us), yet everything still felt natural. Best decision of our wedding planning process!
We booked Amanda a few months ago for our wedding coming August 2020 and so far she has been great! We just had our engagement shoot last week and the pictures came out BEAUTIFUL. I'm someone who has a hard time posing for pictures, not knowing how to stand and what to do with my face etc and she walked us through it and found a way to grab all the right shots so that they looked natural. She told us we would have them within 2 weeks and she got them edited and back to us within 1! She has been so on top of everything with reaching out to coordinate stuff and answers my emails and thousands of questions almost instantly, she listens to my concerns/wants and gives great feedback and advice. Wedding photos are so important because it is how you will remember your big day and share it with others and i'm so happy we went with Amanda because we can sit back and not have to worry, knowing we can trust her to capture everything perfectly!
UPDATE
Amanda did our wedding photos and she was amazing! We originally booked with her 3.5 years ago when we got engaged and she did our engagement photos as well. When our 2020 wedding was postponed due to covid Amanda did not skip a beat, she immediately honored our deposit and changed our date and made sure she was available for us. Our wedding was August 7 2021 and she had all of our photos back within 2 weeks, beautifully edited. She had our engagement photos back within the same time frame, ahead of schedule. She is super friendly and on point with everything she does, from reminder emails to answering you back when you text/email her, to coordinating which shots you want and giving advice where applicable. Amanda and her 2nd shooter (who i'm sorry I cannot remember her name) showed up on the day of our wedding with Starbucks, the cutest outfits and the utmost enthusiasm- you would have thought they were participating in a wedding for one of their own family members. If you're looking for a photographer, this is your sign. Book ASAP you will not regret it! Sincerely, a very picky/very happy bride :) -

Amanda is amazing!
Amanda completely exceeded every expectation we had of our wedding photographer! She helped make our crazy photo dreams a reality by not even batting an eye when I told her I wanted to hike a mountain in my wedding dress. I never thought I would be one to hang my wedding photos in my house, but now I cannot wait to! She gave us photos we will cherish for our entire lives!
From the first meeting, to the engagement photos, to our wedding day, and after she was always so calm, extremely organized, and very thoughtful. We had a sneak peek of our photos before we woke up the morning after our wedding and already have our gallery just over a week later! I cannot say enough great things about her! -

Amanda is professional, personable, and very talented! My fiance and I met Amanda at a location that is very near and dear to our hearts; which made the shoot all that much more magical. It is summer in New England, so the weather was questionable, but cleared up to a perfectly blue sky when it came time for the shoot. Amanda was on board for an adventure, even when the weather was not ideal. We felt extremely comfortable when we arrived. She was prepared and had poses and locations in mind for the entirety of the shoot. Amanda's photography and editing skills were fantastic and just what we were looking for. The turnaround time was much faster than expected. She also suggests printed photos; which I personally love due to my scrapbooking passion! I would not hesitate to reach out to Amanda in the future for any/all of our photography needs. -

Amazing adventure engagement session
Amanda is AMAZING and an incredibly talented individual! We had such a fun time during our adventure engagement session in the mountains. There aren’t enough words to describe how fantastic Amanda Rai Photography is. Finding Amanda Rai Photography was the greatest thing to have happened to my fiancé and I. Not only is Amanda super talented but she is also professional, fun, sweet and makes being photographed easy. I felt like I knew Amanda Rai from the moment I met her. We recently had our engagement shoot in Downtown Portsmouth and my fiancé & I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Amanda gave us the direction we needed while making it so comfortable & easy to be photographed. It truly felt as if it was just he and I in a crowded city.
Amanda Rai even gave us help with picking the location for the shoot. She emailed me some ideas and I chose the one that best fit me and my fiancé. The location was beautiful, the weather was perfect and the photos are unbelievable. My friends and family who have seen the photos from our engagement shoot can’t get over how gorgeous they are and cant stop raving about Amanda Rai’s talent. Amanda took our engagement photos and we could not be happier with them! Our full album was ready in less than 48 hours and the pictures look amazing! We had so much fun during the shoot and she guided us the whole time. Amanda was also super flexible as we had to reschedule a few times. I would highly recommend her and I'm so glad she will also be taking our wedding photos!

Choosing Amanda to be our wedding photographer was the best decision! She did an amazing job and she sent the full album to us in less than two weeks. We're so happy with the way our photos turned out. I'm still amazed at how she captured so many different angles of the ceremony. Several of our guests even commented on how friendly she was and how well she "blended in" during the ceremony and reception!
I was also really impressed that Amanda took the time to visit our venue before the wedding to find cool spots for photos. We didn't even know about some of the spots she found, so it was awesome that she did that research! I would highly recommend Amanda to anyone looking for a photographer - she definitely made our day run smoothly! -

If you want a photographer that cares as much about your wedding as you do, Amanda is your girl. I am so happy with our decision to hire Amanda as our wedding photographer. Not only were our engagement photos what we wanted and more, but our wedding photos were even better. Amanda constantly went above and beyond throughout the entire year. From sending me flowers when my grandfather passed, to sending me a face mask to relax during the thick of planning, and a Starbucks gift card to keep me going during my final weeks of planning. She also gifted us a beautiful canvas print of one of our engagement photos on our wedding day. On our wedding day she was so on top of everything. She got photos that I didn't even notice she was there for. The candid photos she captured were precious and will be cherished forever. When planning a wedding, it can be an incredible overwhelming experience. There are hundreds of different vendors out there for everything you can imagine! The most important part of my wedding day, for me, is the photographer. When it’s all said and done, your photographs are there forever, so I wanted to make sure that whomever we found to capture our day, really was willing to work with us and see us for who we are, not who they could make us look like. My Fiancé and I spent weeks looking for a photographer and from the first correspondence with Amanda, it was like a dream come true! She has always been so quick to respond to us whenever we have had questions or if any concerns have come up. We met with her for coffee and we felt so at ease with her that I knew we had to lock her down ASAP! Our engagement photos are the best photos we’ve ever had taken, and after almost 6 years together, we have a lot to compare! My Fiancé and I are always laughing and smiling and Amanda was able to capture those silly moments and still get more “intimate” shots without it looking posed and unnatural. We had a sneak peak of one of our photos within hours of our engagement session and we had all of our photos back within 3 days! I’m not ashamed to say that I cried when I saw them. I have never felt so beautiful in photos and I’m still obsessed with them. Amanda is a true gem, a blessing and I feel so lucky that she is going to be with us on our biggest day. Her photos are bright, clean and natural. She captures the beauty of the full shot and really takes the time to make sure everything is perfect for you, and not just for her. Her Instagram account is fun, interactive, and she pulls you into her life! If you are looking for a photographer that makes you feel like you are her only client, than talk to Amanda. Amanda-Professional, creative and worth it!
We are so grateful and thankful for Amanda! We didn't know what to expect or how the pictures would turn out but Amanda completely surprised us! She is proactive, a go-getter and doesn't leave things to the last minute (unlike me, the bride). Amanda took the initiative to find the church we were going to be married at to envision what the pictures will look like. She was ever so helpful in suggesting places and timings for our engagement and wedding shots. She is very creative and very kind when we basically didn't know how to pose or act. Most of all, we could tell that Amanda was excited for us, we could even feel her joy for us through her emails. She communicated very effectively and we are very grateful for that because sometimes we were quite forgetful.
