Amanda May was absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding! From the very beginning, she was professional, organized, and incredibly sweet. She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and guided us through poses so naturally that everything felt easy and fun.
Amanda has a great eye for capturing special moments, and her positive energy made the entire experience enjoyable. She struck the perfect balance between being professional and keeping things relaxed, which helped us feel confident and truly enjoy our day.

From day one, we knew we wanted to use Amanda May Photos! She was easy to get in touch with, super professional, very clear with pricing and how everything would work. Then once we booked her she helped us stay organized throughout the whole process which made our lives super easy! Having good, clear wedding photos was at the very top of our priority list, and WOW did she deliver!!! We used one of her associate photographers, Andrea Goodman, with a second shooter Cyd Weeks. They were amazing!!! They made the wedding day so fun and their photos were truly beautiful. We got a 48 hour sneak peak, and then a week later we got 150 photos and we cannot wait to see the rest! I promise you will not regret booking Amanda May Photos. Best decision!!! -

I tend to get nervous and awkward in front of the camera but she had the perfect prompts and directions which made me feel so much more comfortable and confident. We hired Amanda for our engagement, personal photoshoot and wedding day. She was amazing to work with from start to finish, and we absolutely loved our photos! From helping us pick which package best fit our needs to walking us through our shots for the wedding day, Amanda was a dream to have by our side. She promptly answered all of our questions, made us feel so comfortable, and included personalized goodies with regular check-ins up until our big day. We didn’t hire a wedding planner and Amanda made the whole planning process so much less stressful. She’s so kind, produces beautiful art and is so easy to work with. We would highly recommend Amanda to everybody for any occasion!

We talked to a few photographers while searching for the right one for our wedding, but none of them really felt like the fit we just didn’t have that connection. That all changed the moment I spoke with Amanda.
Amanda May Photos is truly the BEST. If I could give 10+ stars, I absolutely would. Booking Amanda for both our engagement photos and wedding was hands down one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.
Amanda is one of the kindest, most thoughtful people I’ve ever met. She goes above and beyond in ways you don’t even expect so many little details leading up to the wedding that show how much she truly cares (I won’t spoil the surprises!). She does so much more than just show up on the wedding day.
She is organized, responsive, creative, and SO much fun to be around. She made both of us feel completely comfortable and natural in front of the camera, which was huge for us. Throughout the day, our friends and family kept raving about her how friendly she was and how she was everywhere capturing every special moment.
Amanda, we truly can’t thank you enough for being such a special part of our day. You are one of a kind. We already can’t wait for an excuse to come back to Tennessee and book another shoot with you just for fun 🤍
It’s honestly so bittersweet you build such an amazing relationship for one day, and then it feels like it’s over too quickly. But we definitely don’t want that to be the case!

Best photographer ever!
I am beyond grateful that we chose Amanda May Photography for our wedding day. Amanda goes so far beyond just taking beautiful photos — she was truly one of the most fun, joyful, and kind vendors we worked with. She listened carefully to what we wanted, helped us build an amazing and realistic timeline, and kept everything running smoothly while staying incredibly professional. She even bustled my dress before the reception, which says everything about how much she genuinely cares. On top of all that, she surprised us with sneak peek photos between the ceremony and reception, which was unreal. Can I give 10+ stars? Look no further for your photographer because Amanda is absolutely incredible!! She is the best of the best!
My husband & I first met Amanda when she photographed my sister’s wedding in Tennessee in 2023. She was so kind & friendly, plus the pictures she took spoke for themselves! Although we weren’t engaged at that time nor did we live there, we just KNEW we had to have Amanda as our photographer if she traveled! (Spoiler alert: she does!)
She traveled to Colorado for an absolutely breathtaking engagement photo session & then to Cape Cod to capture our dream wedding! Our wedding day was absolutely amazing & Amanda played such a huge part in that. She’s so easy to get along with & even if it’s a new venue, she is so great at finding the best spots for the best pictures with the best lighting. The love and genuine care she has for what she does and her clients is so evident! She’s your go-to hype girl behind the camera, which as a bride on a day where you may feel a little nervous (in the best way), is so refreshing!
We truly cannot thank Amanda enough for being part of our special day & capturing our love in such a way that helps us relive the best day over & over again! It’s been one week & we cannot wait to see the rest of our pictures but even the sneak peek photos are truly amazing!

Amanda went above and beyond in every way for our wedding day and the months leading up to it. Not only are the photos PERFECTION, but she is quick to respond with any question or concern and ease your mind as a bride. My husband and I are from Florida and wanted to get married in Tennessee. Upon looking at venues, we fell in love with Castleton Farms. With our package we had two specific photographers that were included and both ended up being unavailable. I had done research on the vendors listed and Amanda was one of my top picks. By what I felt like was grace of god and met to be, while most of the photographers on Castleton’s list were booked, I reached out to Amanda and she was available! It was honestly one of the BEST decisions we made when picking vendors.

Amanda and her team are absolutely amazing to work with! Amanda creates a friendship with you and makes you feel so comfortable! She sent us AMP guides for her photography and what to expect. Juan and I read through everything and felt so comfortable and excited. She also gave us insight on specific engagement and wedding things - first looks, outfits, how to make a veil fly and more. She sent us gifts as well! She really thinks of everything and is so sweet.
Working with Amanda for engagement/wedding shoots:
I’ve worked with photographers in the past and it’s always stressful when they ask you what YOU want to do for photos. Amanda is the first photographer we have worked with that does not do this. She tells you everything to do to capture the most BEAUTIFUL photos and tell your love story. She will tell you where to place your hands or tell you to spin or dip. She takes all the stress out of photos and that’s when Juan and I really fell in love with working with her. Photo shoots with Amanda are enjoyable and not stressful at all! We had such a fun time with her both engagement and wedding day!
The Quality of AMP
The photos from Amanda and her team speak for themselves. They look straight out of a wedding magazine and honestly look unreal they are so stunning! We are so excited to decorate our house with Amanda May Photos - both engagement and wedding! Her print quality is amazing as well - we ordered from her for our engagement photos to use as decorations for our wedding. We also made a guest book with her that turned out beautiful!!
I cannot recommend working with Amanda May Photos for professional photography enough. Trust that Amanda will capture any point in your life whether it’s engagement, wedding, graduation, maturity photos, family photos, and more. She also has many other great options. The best photographer in the industry!
When it came to hiring vendors for our wedding, we went back and forth between vendors negotiating the best for each aspect of our special day. The one hire we knew from the start and the first vendor we booked was Amanda May Photos and her team. We were thrilled she had our date available because we had not one back up option. Let me explain why. When you book Amanda as your wedding photographer, you receive the most gorgeous, full of detail photos you could ever dream of. There's no doubt about that. In a world full of filters and editing, you will receive the most beautiful, full of natural light photos of all the special moments throughout your wedding day. There are not enough synonyms for the word beautiful to describe Amanda May's work. When you receive your photos back from your day (wedding, engagement, etc), you will smile, laugh, cry happy tears, reminisce, and be blown away by what her talent captured. Just by glancing through her blog, it's very clear that Amanda's work will exceed EVERY expectation you had for your photos. So, back to my point, when you hire a photographer, initially the only thing on your mind is the outcome of the photos. What you don't really think of until the session, is what it will be like being around your photographer all day and how they make you feel during these moments caught on camera. I have one word to describe to you for what it's like being with Amanda on wedding day, and the word is joy. Amanda is the most kind spirited, understanding woman and the joy of having her around on your special day is priceless. Her optimistic, professional personality is one of a kind. At one point while all my bridesmaids were getting ready and the room seemed chaotic, I sat next to Amanda while she took flat-lay photos and just talked. While she was working, I talked about things going on in my life, I talked about wedding issues that came up, and she listened with intention because she truly cares about her brides. Amanda is someone you can turn to on your day to have a moment outside of the hustle and bustle. The investment in Amanda May Photos is so much more than just photography. It's someone who will find your wedding lipstick for you when you think it's gone for good. It's someone who will bustle your dress for you. It's someone who will make you feel beautiful behind the lens even if you don't like having your pictures taken. Best Photographer in East Tennessee!!
I used Amanda May and her team to photograph our engagement and wedding photos and I was blown away by how perfect they came out! Amanda is top notch when it comes to the little details involved with a photo shoot. She knows how to find the best lighting, poses, backgrounds, etc. I worked with another member of her team as well (Alaina) and she was so sweet and amazingly skilled as well! Amanda is so thoughtful and great with communication! This was by far the most professional photography company I have worked with, in so many aspects. Amanda was one of the BEST investments we made for our wedding.
My husband and I, and as I expect most people are, are not used to posing for photos or having so many photos taken of us. Amanda made us feel SO comfortable and gave amazing direction to capture the most beautiful photos. We, and our families, will be cherishing her work forever.
I really can't get over how amazingly talented she is and how she constantly goes above and beyond for us. We live out of state now and she was so flexible with scheduling our engagement shoot when we were in town and answering any questions we had. She is extremely supportive before, during, and well after the wedding, and really makes you feel special/valued as one of her couples. Can't recommend her more! -

Words cannot express how invaluable Amanda was on the wedding day and leading up to it. She is UNREAL. When hiring a photographer not only do you need to consider how the photos will turn out (and trust me you won't be disappointed with your investment there), but you also need to consider who that person is. As the bride and the family of the bride, you will be with the photographer the most out of anyone on the day of the wedding. Amanda is kind and goes with the flow but leads the day. She creates her own timeline (in partnership with the venue or a planner), which I cannot stress the importance of enough — she is the reason we got everything in that we wanted.
A few more things about Amanda — she kept the wedding party light-hearted and interested in standing outside in 94-degree weather (a feat that is nearly impossible to do with a group of guys, but they all adored her and had the best time!). She made all of my photo requests work, was incredibly flexible with my out-of-town schedule, and has been an absolute joy and peace driver of my wedding experience. She sent us countless of goodie bags throughout our engagement. And last but not least, she told us (the couple) how to stand, where to place our hands, where to look, etc.; it made me feel so confident and de-stressed me as a bride. I truly would not recommend anyone else (coming from someone who is extremely particular). -

Amanda is absolutely INCREDIBLE!! We used her for our May wedding in Chattanooga! At first, I fell in love with how she photographs her couples and how she edits her pictures. Most Amazing Photographer and Person
Amanda is not only the most amazing photographer out there but she is the most amazing person too. She goes above and beyond for all of her clients. She made the day run so smoothly. 10/10 recommend Amanda May Photos! She’s not only ridiculously talented but also a genuinely thoughtful person. I could tell from the first phone call that Amanda loves what she does. If you or your fiancé aren’t comfortable with taking photos then Amanda is your girl, she makes the whole experience feel so natural! We actually had 2 of Amanda May’s associate photographers photograph our wedding and they were also fantastic. My husband and I are now eagerly awaiting our wedding photos because we know they are going to be phenomenal! -

Amanda is amazing
Amanda is absolutely AMAZING! We used Amanda for our engagement pictures and we actually used two of her associate photographers for our wedding day. (Amanda edits these photos) Every single picture is simply perfect. Our wedding day was captured perfectly…every single moment. But what we loved most about Amanda is how sweet and selfless she is! She stayed in contact with us our entire engagement, kept us updated, sent us the sweetest gifts along the way, contacted all of our vendors, and made sure everything was ready for our wedding day so that our day ran smoothly. I would recommend Amanda May over and over and over again! We will definitely be using her again in the future! We could never ask for anyone or anything better! -

Not only are the wedding photos GORGEOUS, you also get a "sneak peek" the day of (having pictures to share immediately is really fun for older relatives who can't travel), and a blog post worth within 2 weeks. Amanda is so much more than "just" a photographer - though in my opinion her photography skills are also unmatched, and she truly has a gift. When planning our wedding, we chose our date around her availability because I had already heard such great things, and I am so thankful that we did. From beginning to end, Amanda went above and beyond to make sure she provided the best service possible. When we postponed our wedding, she worked with us to find a new date even though it was going to be during the busiest time of the year for her. She then sent a sweet care package on our "would have been" wedding date! She is incredibly organized, thinks about everything (even things you may not realize you need), and has all things photography-related planned so that you don't have to worry about anything. She's so much fun to work with and adds such a positive presence to the wedding day. By the end, she is less of a photographer and more your friend. Amanda is truly the best and I recommend her a million times over - you won't regret it!! -

Amanda May Photos shot our wedding & engagement pictures. She is absolutely AMAZING!!! I first loved her because her pics were so beautiful, light, & airy. I came to find out that she is probably the sweetest person I’ve ever met in my life!! It was so easy & fun doing engagement sessions with her because she just made it so relaxing & had us laughing the whole time!!! She also has sent us over like 4 different packages during this year as gifts. Some of them were so sweet and sentimental! She BLEW my expectations in all aspects! I picked her as a photographer before anything else, even a date & venue. She ended up already being booked for the date I had to choose, and I had associate photographers come to our wedding day. Long story short: Amanda was the best vendor choice of our wedding. I was not excited to select a photographer because wow they're so much of the budget and I like a more edgy photo than traditional wedding photography. After speaking with Amanda and discussing shots I liked and didn't like as much from her blog, she was clear on how she could adjust our photos as well as where her editing/style would not change just for us which was an honest breathe of fresh air! She brought so much to the table for someone planning their own wedding like giving advice on color schemes, recommending other vendors, and even making the timeline. She got to know what we liked best during the engagement session and miraculously 8 months later remembered that type of shot/composition for the big day. Finding the perfect photographer is definitely a very difficult task. But when I found Amanda May Photos, I found just that!
Amanda is truly amazing! Her pictures are beautiful! She is a great photographer that makes you feel comfortable behind the camera, coaches you through poses to make them look natural, literally captures shots that gives you chills and she is also one of the nicest people I have ever met. She is bubbly and laughs and smiles the entire day showing she truly loves what she does! She is very personal and I can easily say, that you become instant friends with her. She is that type of person.
Amanda also does a lot of things behind the scenes before the wedding day. She helps create a timeline to ensure that we stay on time before the wedding. I have never been apart of wedding where they did not run late until my own when we had Amanda who helped keep everything on track.
After the wedding, we received a chuck of our pictures back within 5 days of our wedding!! She called these her favorites! Again, I have never been apart of a wedding that received so many pictures back in such a short amount of time!

Almost two years ago I was a bridesmaid in one of my best friend’s wedding and I told my boyfriend if we ever get married, AMP WILL be our photographer because Amanda is probably one of the nicest, most genuine people I have ever met and she did an amazing job today! Fast forward to the following summer, we get engaged and after we made all our calls and I finally downloaded every app I could to assist us in planning a wedding, I instantly searched for Amanda on WeddingWire and asked her in a very long message if she would meet with us. I was ecstatic when we booked our appointment but I was absolutely blown away when we got to her office and she treated us like we were the most important people she had ever met and it stayed that way through our entire engagement and wedding!
On our honeymoon, my husband said, “I already know who will be doing maternity and family photos when that day comes.”
Aside from the way she makes you feel, her work is absolutely phenomenal! One of my favorite things that she does is has an iPad or screen scrolling with some of your wedding photos AT YOUR RECEPTION!!! How many times can you say you saw some of your getting ready and ceremony photos as you enter your reception?! Knowing from a previous wedding that she did this, we kept it a secret from our family and they were all blown away! I think it was the main topic of the entire reception lol.

When we first met her, she made it very easy to have a conversation with her about our likes and dislikes. She was very low pressure in her sales process, which was very comforting. She helped us understand potential issues and address any concerns we had throught out the process which instilled confidence quickly in her knowledge. By the time we left our appointment, we felt as if we had spent the last hour with a new friend. Her marketing materials are beautiful and very informative. They provided great guidance on what to consider, not only about her product but about the wedding planning process in general, which was extremely helpful! Amanda was an amazing mentor during the whole planning process and we appreciated her feedback because we felt that she cared about providing a great product, but an even better experience with her. At the event, our guests were amazed at how efficient and kind she was. She also stayed much later than our discussed timeline to capture every moment of our wedding and we greatly appreciate it!
