Amanda is the absolute best photographer we could have ever asked for. She played a huge role in making our day go as smoothly as possible. She is incredibly sweet and brings an energy that can't be topped! We are so thankful we found her to photograph our wedding! Simply the Best
Amanda is the most wonderful and talented spirit to have on your wedding day team! From engagement photos to planning to our timeline to our exit and beyond, Amanda has a wealth of experience to guide everything to perfection while making photographic art along the way. She loves a story and has a knack for the details, and continually proves to be the best investment from beginning to end. Did I mention that the photos are gorgeous??

The BEST photographer!!
Amanda May is hands down the sweetest and most talented photographer. Her work is absolutely amazing and you can definitely tell that this is her passion. From the first time we met with her she felt more like a friend than just our photographer. We are forever grateful for Amanda May and her team for giving us the most beautiful photos that we will be looking through for many years to come!! EVERYONE NEEDS AMANDA MAY TO BE THEIR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER! Seriously, y’all- from the very beginning she has been the absolute sweetest friend and made our entire engagement experience so special. The engagement pictures she took were a dream, but nothing can top the experience we had with her on our wedding day. She is fun and fast- very knowledgeable and tells you exactly how to get the best photos. She makes taking pictures fun- and that was a must have for my crew. She is the most amazing person and went above and beyond. YALL SHE PUT MY VEIL IN, FIXED MY BUSTLE ( as I was panicking) and BUSTLED MY DRESS, made sure I had everything I needed all day and helped me savor every special moment. You will simply not find anyone better at their job or a better person to share the most incredible day of your life with. There are not enough words I could write to explain just how amazing she is- but you guys NEED her to be a part of your day! The best photographer in the industry!
When it came to hiring vendors for our wedding, we went back and forth between vendors negotiating the best for each aspect of our special day. The one hire we knew from the start and the first vendor we booked was Amanda May Photos and her team. We were thrilled she had our date available because we had not one back up option. Let me explain why. When you book Amanda as your wedding photographer, you receive the most gorgeous, full of detail photos you could ever dream of. There's no doubt about that. In a world full of filters and editing, you will receive the most beautiful, full of natural light photos of all the special moments throughout your wedding day. There are not enough synonyms for the word beautiful to describe Amanda May's work. When you receive your photos back from your day (wedding, engagement, etc), you will smile, laugh, cry happy tears, reminisce, and be blown away by what her talent captured. Just by glancing through her blog, it's very clear that Amanda's work will exceed EVERY expectation you had for your photos. So, back to my point, when you hire a photographer, initially the only thing on your mind is the outcome of the photos. What you don't really think of until the session, is what it will be like being around your photographer all day and how they make you feel during these moments caught on camera. I have one word to describe to you for what it's like being with Amanda on wedding day, and the word is joy. Amanda is the most kind spirited, understanding woman and the joy of having her around on your special day is priceless. Her optimistic, professional personality is one of a kind. At one point while all my bridesmaids were getting ready and the room seemed chaotic, I sat next to Amanda while she took flat-lay photos and just talked. While she was working, I talked about things going on in my life, I talked about wedding issues that came up, and she listened with intention because she truly cares about her brides. Amanda is someone you can turn to on your day to have a moment outside of the hustle and bustle. The investment in Amanda May Photos is so much more than just photography. It's someone who will find your wedding lipstick for you when you think it's gone for good. It's someone who will bustle your dress for you. It's someone who will make you feel beautiful behind the lens even if you don't like having your pictures taken. It's someone who invests time in meeting you and who you are, and portrays your relationship through her lens. It's someone who keeps up with the timeline and flow of the day. It's someone who can jive with anyone. It's someone who is so good at her job, all you have to do while taking photos is truly enjoy the moments with your spouse. Amanda is someone who will be there for you on your wedding day in every way imaginable. She is one of the very reasons our day was absolutely perfect and everything we could have ever dreamed of. Best Photographer in East Tennessee!!
I used Amanda May and her team to photograph our engagement and wedding photos and I was blown away by how perfect they came out! Amanda is top notch when it comes to the little details involved with a photo shoot. She knows how to find the best lighting, poses, backgrounds, etc. I worked with another member of her team as well (Alaina) and she was so sweet and amazingly skilled as well! Amanda is so thoughtful and great with communication! This was by far the most professional photography company I have worked with, in so many aspects. I would absolutely recommend Amanda May Photography and her team to anyone and everyone and will be doing that from this day forward. Booking Amanda to capture our big day was easily one of the easiest and best decisions we made in the entire wedding planning process. She made being in front of the camera feel so natural and easy. She captured every little detail of our day and we will cherish the photos forever. Amanda is so gifted behind her camera. She is a fantastic person and she makes you feel like your wedding is the most important thing in the world. She sent us gifts before the wedding, and we received a sneak peek at some photos the night of which I was never expecting! She knows the perfect moment to steal you away to get those perfect photos. Your wedding photographer is one the biggest decisions you’ll make when it comes to your wedding, and you can’t go wrong with Amanda! She was our first vendor that we booked because we just knew we had to have her capture our big day. We loved working with Amanda because she is so kind, so professional and so organized. She truly goes above and beyond for her clients! As two people who dread having their picture taken, Amanda made us feel so relaxed and comfortable both during our engagement photos and wedding photos, that we actually forgot we were having our picture made. Incredible
Amanda is absolutely INCREDIBLE!! We used her for our May wedding in Chattanooga! At first, I fell in love with how she photographs her couples and how she edits her pictures. I knew I had to have her no matter where she was located. Then came our wedding day and I absolutely loved how she treated us and how much fun she made the photos and just her overall personality was so so sweet! As a little girl, I have always dreamed of my wedding day and Amanda turned that dream into a reality that will be captured in photographs forever. I can’t thank her enough for her amazing work and I can’t recommend her enough! She has such a genuine soul and heart and cares about each of her couples. Amanda was one of the BEST investments we made for our wedding.
My husband and I, and as I expect most people are, are not used to posing for photos or having so many photos taken of us. Amanda made us feel SO comfortable and gave amazing direction to capture the most beautiful photos. We, and our families, will be cherishing her work forever.
I really can't get over how amazingly talented she is and how she constantly goes above and beyond for us. We live out of state now and she was so flexible with scheduling our engagement shoot when we were in town and answering any questions we had. She is extremely supportive before, during, and well after the wedding, and really makes you feel special/valued as one of her couples. Can't recommend her more!Amanda May Photos's reply:

10/10 recommend Amanda May Photos! She’s not only ridiculously talented but also a genuinely thoughtful person. I could tell from the first phone call that Amanda loves what she does. If you or your fiancé aren’t comfortable with taking photos then Amanda is your girl, she makes the whole experience feel so natural! We actually had 2 of Amanda May’s associate photographers photograph our wedding and they were also fantastic. My husband and I are now eagerly awaiting our wedding photos because we know they are going to be phenomenal!Amanda May Photos's reply:
