Alyssa has to be the most talent photographer in Utah! She captured our wedding perfectly. She was so great to work with and to get everything set up. We had a lot of back and forth because we were stressed with possible weather issues. She handled it with such grace. She actually mentioned that rain was one of her favorite settings. We were drawn to Alyssa because she offers a style that is unique and off the beaten path of typical wedding photos. The result was stunning. It literally looked like a photo essay featured in a high end New York City gallery. We could not have been more pleased with the result. We had so many shots where we were just left saying, ”how did she get that shot?!” We honestly don’t even remember seeing her during the wedding or the reception. But, she captured up close and personal shots that we cannot get over!! Thank you Alyssa! We also just wanted to say we appreciate how inclusive she is and we appreciate that she was willing to work with us as members of the LGBTQ+ community! If we could get married again just to have an excuse to have her do more photographs—we would! She is a MUST if you are considering her for your wedding! -

Down for anything, snowstorm & all!
Alyssa photographed my micro wedding and I was blown away by the stunning photos and their stories she was able to tell in such a short amount of time. She was so personable and easy to work with. My wedding was very casual and she helped give advice on the spot (like where the ceremony location on the property we rented should be) and everything turned out fantastic. My husband and I never get our pictures taken and had no idea how to pose but she gave us simple directions and our couples pictures look natural and capture us so well. There was a small snowstorm when everyone was inside after our ceremony and she was so down to throw on a winter coat to go out and take some incredible pictures in it! I love Alyssa's photography style and was so happy with my full gallery. I can't wait to work with her again in the future! -

Alyssa is incredible. If you want artistic, stunning, one-of-a-kind wedding photos, then she's your girl! Alyssa's work struck me immediately. Her photos tell a story, both as individual pictures and as a whole set. Alyssa herself is wonderful and easy to talk to. Everyone who interacted with her on the wedding day loved her!
Post-wedding, I was stunned when she turned around ALL of our photos only 4 weeks after the wedding! The bonus slideshow is such a nice touch, and the photos are sent via Pic-Time, which allows you to purchase prints, frames, etc directly from the portal.
I almost don't have words for how stunning our photos are. Looking through them made me feel so grateful for all the wonderful people in our lives, and helped me remember how lovely our wedding day really was. It's so true when people say your wedding day rushes past; there are so many details I missed or moments that I let myself feel stressed, and I am so thankful that Alyssa captured everything with so much beauty and detail.
Some of the things I loved about our photos:
- Alyssa absolutely captured our personalities; goofiness and all!
- Collectively, the pics captured the setting so well; the entire collection feels like a story
- The dancing pics are possibly the best wedding dance pics I've ever seen?!!!!
Alyssa has given us such a gift with her beautiful work. We'll treasure these photos for a lifetime! I absolutely recommend her! -

Alyssa was everything we could ever have hoped for in a photographer. I found Alyssa on Instagram and fell in love with her style and esthetic. Check out her photos! What I love most is how her pictures feel like real life: not cookie-cutter, not squared-up and centered, not tripod-captured smiles. She has a way of getting candid moments that really bring out the actual emotion and joy we were feeling in the moment without feeling over-posed or uncomfortable. Alyssa made us feel relaxed and the whole experience was very easy. She was punctual, was easy to communicate with, flexible. All of the things! To give you a background, we did a couples session with our 2 dogs by taking a walk around our neighborhood.Alyssa Sorenson Photo's reply:

Unreal photographer
Alyssa captured every tiny beautiful moment of our reception. Every photo is stunning. We could not be happier. 10/10 recommend. She has an eye for the right shot like no other and made it super comfortable -

I was so nervous because I feel really shy and unphotogenic and obviously for your engagement pictures you want to look happy and not like you are the most uncomfortable person! The second I met Alyssa I was 100% calmer. She was so kind and personable and made me feel completely at ease. The shoot felt like it went so quick and I never once felt like I was uncomfortable or hating it! I felt like we were just talking and getting to know each other and she was snapping a few pics while doing it! Long story short, she is incredible. When we got the pictures back (SO QUICKLY) my fiance and I were both sobbing at how amazing they were and how they completely captured our love! Do yourself a favor and book Alyssa! These are just the engagements and I could not be more thrilled to have her shoot our wedding!

Amanda Sent on 02/08/2018I just received my wedding photos from Alyssa and to say I am blown away would be an understatement. In my mom's words, "it was worth having a destination wedding in Utah just to work with the best photographer in the country!" I knew from the minute I came across her work that her talent was truly special, but to see the photos from our wedding only served to emphasize that further. Alyssa is kind, funny, genuine, responsive, and very easy to work with. I was worried the day after the wedding that I hadn't spent enough time doing planned photos and that I hadn't given her enough material, but I shouldn't have worried for it for a second. She managed to capture our day in the most complete and magical way that is beyond what I could have hoped for and we will cherish these pictures forever. The only regret I have is that she wasn't also able to be our guest. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Alyssa, I cannot wait to have you document events in our lives for years to come.
