Hugo definitely did a spectacular job during our ceremony! Hugo accommodated all of our requests for our ceremony. We asked him to perform the ceremony in both Spanish and English so that all of our family and friends were able to understand. He also helped us incorporate Hispanic traditions in our ceremony such as the wedding lasso and the arras (wedding unity coins). He is very quick to respond to questions and continued to guide us even after the wedding. We are definitely going to hire Hugo for our vow renewals in the future. Hugo comes HIGHLY recommended by these newly weds!

So happy with Hugo!
Hugo officiated our wedding this past April 2021. He totally exceeded our expectations. Because of covid, my husband and I had already gotten officially married a few months prior, so we wanted to make sure the ceremony had the proper wording to reflect our situation. Hugo met with us via Skype and asked us questions about what we wanted for the ceremony. We immediately felt so comfortable with him. He is funny, kind, witty, and compassionate. He sent us the transcript of what he planned to say at our wedding, and there wasn’t a single thing we wanted to change! During the ceremony, he was clear spoken and understood by everyone. I HIGHLY recommend Hugo to anyone looking for an officiant. He added so much to our day and we are so grateful!

Best Officiant out there
Hugo is awesome! We felt at ease and very comfortable with him right away. Looking for an officiant was harder than we thought but we had it narrowed down to Hugo and someone with a really cool accent LOL but after meeting them both in person the choice was obvious and perfect. Hugo is funny, thorough, and caring. He helped us feel prepared and relaxed. When the pandemic started he reassured us that no matter what we decided he would be there for us and he was. The ceremony went off without a hitch. He even learned some Tagalog which was special because my new wife is Filipina. He knew and worked well with our DJ and the rest of the vendors. We had a great team and Hugo was a very big part of our Wedding day! Thanks Hugo we love you!

Hugo was the perfect officiant for our elopement.
We contacted Hugo to be our officiant for an elopement in Tucson, AZ. With two weeks notice, Hugo made himself available for our wedding and also scheduled a few pre-wedding phone calls so we could get to know one another prior to our ceremony. He was professional, yet kind and nurturing and willing to ensure that our ceremony & vows were tailored to our needs. We had originally been working with our Pastor back at home on our wedding ceremony, which would have had a strong religious component, prayer and blessings. We let Hugo know we hoped to keep that aspect in tact and he helped to ensure that our message and vows were perfect. Hugo made our wedding day that much more special. Would 10/10 recommend Hugo to anyone in search of a wedding officiant.

Hugo was an incredible officiant and we’re so happy we had the opportunity to work with him for our wedding ceremony. From the start, he was flexible and accommodating. My now husband and I don’t live in the Tucson area and Hugo was happy to arrange a Skype meeting to get to know us and go over all of the necessary information for planning our day. After the initial meeting, he sent us an email of sample ceremony ideas and gave us the freedom to pick and choose pieces from different samples and add in our own ideas to create the ceremony that fit best with our personalities. We ended up working with him to create a beautiful, personalized, mix of English and Spanish ceremony. We loved working with Hugo for our wedding and would absolutely recommend him!

Better than we could have expected!
There are so many things that go into planning your dream wedding but the most intimidating one was for sure finding who would marry us. I had heard horror stories of officiants showing up late and have been to weddings were the officiant seemed disconnected and was boring. I am Mexican and my husband is white and we wanted a ceremony that combined our cultures without sounding repetitive or feeling like a tennis match with our guests (English then Spanish then English, etc.). We came across Hugo online and form the moment we first interacted I knew he was the perfect fit. He is professional, friendly and graciously listened to what our priorities were for the ceremony. He provided samples of ceremonies he has done to illustrate what to expect but also let us add in pieces and readings that were important to us. Leading up to the wedding he answered all of our emails and checked in to make sure all was well. The day of the wedding he was early, introduced himself to everyone and touched base with us to make sure all was good.
After the ceremony, we got SO MANY compliments on his service. I had been expecting to hear back about the venue or food only but people offered their impression on Hugo and his service and said it rally added to the intimacy of the ceremony. We were able to incorporate English and Spanish in a way that was not daunting. My tias and friends and my husband's family were all impressed by the quality of work he provided. We are so thrilled that he was part of such a special day and that he made our ceremony top-notch! I highly, highly recommend Hugo for your wedding, especially if your concern is incorporating Spanish, which is what I was worried about when I was searching for an officiant. He is a class act and you will not regret it!

I truly with all my heart hope you booked for years to come! Hugo, you are an incredible human being. You made our wedding! it wasn't the flowers, the dress, or the venue. It was YOU! You took so much time to work through our ceremony creating a special, thoughtful, unique experience that left our guests wanting more. The detail and humor you added you made our ceremony the non-traditional ceremony we wanted. Your poise, voice and tone throughout the ceremony engaged our guests and engaged me and my now husband, that we were captured with every word! You made our day more special than we could have ever imagined or even hoped for. There are so many things to say about Hugo. Hugo was incredibly responsive and quick from the moment we first started communicating with him. He was always professional and fast at returning any questions and emails. Hugo is also very warm and personable and we just felt he was the perfect person to officiate our big day. Hugo also works with you to customize your ceremony exactly how you want which makes it very special. Other officiants we had met seemed more strict and were trying to make sure we met certain criteria as a couple, but Hugo made us feel warm and welcomed from the beginning. He is extremely responsive and works with you both to build a custom ceremony that you both will enjoy, but he also has many templates available to choose from as well. He handled all of our last minute requests with ease and patience. We received many compliments on our ceremony (Nov 9th, 2018) and we would recommend him to anyone looking for an officiant.

Hugo was great!! From the beginning my husband and I knew we wanted him to officiate our wedding. Hugo is responsive, accomodating and willing to personalize the ceremony as much as you want. Hugo was an amazing officiant for our wedding! He included everything we wanted in the ceremony. He was super attentive to details, suggested creative ways to ease the flow of the ceremony, and performed the ceremony in both Spanish and English without making it redundant or too long. Preparation for the ceremony was the easiest part of wedding planning after booking Hugo. He had plenty of examples of ceremonies which we used to create exactly what we wanted. He gave us excellent recommendations when we were unsure of exactly what we wanted. For example, we told Hugo we wanted our ceremony to include something where family could participate. He quickly recommended a ring warming ceremony--and it was the most special part of our day! Do yourself a favor-- book Hugo! He is such a graceful, professional, and genuine officiant!

Hugo was great! My fiance and I had an instant connection with him upon meeting. We are very laid back people but still wanted someone who would keep things nice, too! Working out the wording was super easy and not stressful at all. We are not super religious and Hugo made sure to cater to our every thought so that it was 100% the wording we wanted. Hugo was our officiant on our October wedding. I reached out to him and he immediately called my back and after talking to him for a few minutes I hired him. He send out samples of different ceremony samples, we did a combination of a few. He was pretty responsive. My husbands family is very religious, but I'm not. He was able to come up with something that was beautiful, but still had a little religious touch for my husband. It was perfect. We got a lot of compliments of how beautiful everything was. It was a very deep, beautiful and meaningful passages. Everyone also loved his voice, the tone of voice was brought up by a few lol I would highly recommend him. He was professional and nice to talk to and never felt rushed. We were very happy with his services. He was also more than willing to meet as much as we needed, but we only met with him once just to give him an idea of what we were looking for. He only had about 10 reviews at the time I hired him, I'm glad to see he now has more because he deserves it.

Initially, our ceremony was one of the components of our wedding that we were most stressed about - the groom's family is from Mexico, speaks primarily Spanish, and is used to attending traditional Catholic weddings, while my family is from the states and mostly does not belong to any particular religion. Because we were electing to not be married in a church, we wanted to make sure our ceremony was inclusive for both of our families in terms of language, tradition, and culture. Upon meeting with Hugo, he immediately calmed our concerns and shared with us various options he could incorporate based on his previous experience. We chose to incorporate el lazo and las arras, two meaningful traditional elements that also allowed our family members to be a part of the ceremony. Hugo also designed a beautiful bilingual ceremony that seamlessly went back and forth between both English and Spanish. It was personal, meaningful, and authentic to the two of us. On the day of the wedding, Hugo walked us through each step and it all went perfectly (despite our nervousness). ALL of our guests commented that it was an absolutely beautiful ceremony! Even the more traditional members of the groom's family (who I had been worried about offending for not having a Catholic wedding) said that if they had the chance to get married again they would want to do it exactly like we had - with all of the meaningful traditions but without having to sit through an hour-long mass! Post ceremony, he patiently waited for us to take a group picture with our guests before signing the marriage license. We would highly highly highly recommend Hugo to any couple needing an outstanding officiant for their special day, but especially to those looking to have a bilingual ceremony. It was one of the best decisions we made!

We are so happy we found Hugo! I was a little nervous to have a "stranger" officiate the wedding, but after chatting with Hugo on the phone, then meeting him in person and having a few months of consistent email communication - we were more than comfortable. He made the entire process very easy. Hugo had lots of suggestions along the way, but always welcomed and respected the direction Kyle and I wanted to go. We told him it was important to incorporate my daughter into the ceremony and he came up with great ideas and even wrote a beautiful piece into the ceremony about the coming together of our family and the impact on my daughter. He was also very calming. We hasn't told all of our family about our ring warming ceremony and I was wanted to get rid of that last minute but Hugo was confident and helped me relax. He is super flexible with catering to your needs and really gave us the opportunity to shape our ceremony the way we wanted it! We brought up some new ideas and wanted to make it more personal and he definitely nailed it! Everyone was raving about how beautiful our ceremony was and we are so thankful for Hugo! I would give Hugo a 10 out of 5 if that were possible. Our story is a bit unusual in that the officiant (who shall remain nameless) who we had booked (and paid for), contacted Hugo 2 days before our wedding, asking if he could cover for him! Nice, right? The other officiant didn't even have the decency to let us know himself! So Hugo called us out of the blue and came to our rescue. I'm 100% sure it turned out better than it would have with the first guy as Hugo did such an outstanding job - plus he is bilingual, which ended up being a bonus as he was able to do the entire wedding in both English and Spanish - which was awesome for my wife's side of the family. Hugo was totally professional, extremely helpful with unique ceremony ideas, and he put everyone at ease during the ceremony itself so we could relax and enjoy our wedding. You won't be sorry if you use Hugo as your officiant.

Hugo was an amazing officiant. We wanted our ceremony to be bilingual and also have some Catholic elements to it. Hugo was very responsive in his communications and walked us through every step of the process. My wife and I felt connect with him not as our officiant but as our friend. We were truly blessed to have found Hugo and for him to be a part of our special day. Thank you so much Hugo we couldn't have done it without you!

I was the Groom for the wedding that Hugo performed the service for us a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to disclose this before writing anything further; to provide a male "point of view".
They say that preparing for a wedding is stressful, something I have heard for years. But having just gone through this process, this statement is very true.
My wife was being pulled in several directions at once: finalizing floral, venue, timing of when out of town guests were arriving, DJ.. to name a few items. Why this matter is when we met with Hugo... his organization, thoughtfulness and thoroughness was simply amazing. As we met with him, I looked over at my stressed out wife and saw her become more relaxed as he consulted with her to make her day even more special. He paid attention to every detail, asked questions that we didn't think of and made sure we knew what was going to happen.
On the day of the services, Hugo showed up a couple of hours early to finalize the coordination moments: speaking to the DJ to ensure that they were in synch; meeting with the photographer to make sure they were on the same page to make sure HE wasn't in those pictures which go on the Wall; ensuring that our sand was in the proper location for our Sand Ceremony... the little things you aren't thinking about right now.
I highly recommend Hugo for your special day. I have heard from several attendee's that his ceremony was perfect. It had everyone happy, laughing, and engaged.
Thank you Hugo for doing what you did for us on that crazy day.. We are so thankful that we chose you!!!

Working with Hugo was absolutely wonderful! He was always very quick to reply and had tons of different options for the ceremony! All of our guests raved about what a wonderful job he did. I would definitely recommend him! Thank you for making our day even more amazing!

My husband and I could not have asked for a more perfect officiant! Hugo so graciously performed a bilingual (English & Spanish) ceremony that we had written ourselves, which helped us bridge our two families and including everyone on our special day. Not only did he conduct a magnificent ceremony, but he also saved it too! We had forgot a pivotal part of our ceremony (wine box & letters) about 30 minutes before everything was to commence. Being the amazing person he is, he drove to his nearby home, grabbed his & his wife's own wine box and two envelopes, and brought them back to the venue so that we could have a complete ceremony. He is also such a polite, friendly, and down-to-earth person, a real pleasure to work with.

Hugo was a pleasure to work with. He was very professional and flexible. We had an evening wedding and he stayed late to sign the marriage license just so the photographers could get some daylight shots. He talked with Jose, reassuring him and building up his confidence. Hugo has a fantastic speaking voice and was extremely helpful with providing examples of other services he had performed, in terms of the vows, & letting us turn them them into what we wanted. We had a ton of compliments from our guests in regards to Hugo!!

Hugo is the best! He had very short notice (the person that was supposed to officiate had a family emergency), and he was able to perform a perfect ceremony that was exactly what we wanted. Hugo is kind and professional, and made us feel so comfortable. He is also bilingual, so he was able to seamlessly incorporate Spanish for my wife's family. It was a beautiful and perfect ceremony, and we have Hugo to thank for that. I can't recommend him highly enough!

Hugo was a fantastic joy to have as our officiant on our special day. Not only was he looking sharp, he was very professional and conducted the ceremony exactly as we had requested of him. Leading up to the big day, he was flexible in accommodating our requests and extremely easy to work with. If my wife and I had to do it all over again, we would be honored to have Hugo perform the ceremony just as he did a couple weeks ago! Thank you Hugo for keeping the focus of our event solely on us! Hugo was the first available officiant to meet my hubby and I. After meeting him I cancelled other appointments because his personality stood out and I loved that and he was willing to provide advice. We honestly had no idea what we wanted or how it was done. When It was time for the ceremony I was anxious. He talked to me before it started and once it happened everyone loved it I nearly cried I loved it it was a beautiful moment I'll never forget. Hugo met with us and was so fun to talk with that we didn't want to leave. His professionalism was amazing. He gave us samples to pick out special words which made things very easy for us. He spoke clearly and with feeling from the heart during our ceremony.
