Wendy is absolute perfection. From start to finish, she was punctual, incredibly professional, and someone I trusted completely with my wedding dress.
She handled my 8-layer princess ballgown with a 6-foot train like an absolute boss. Not once did I feel nervous; I knew my dress was in the best hands the entire time. At one point, the cups in my dress started to turn yellow. Wendy didn’t hesitate, ripped them right out, looked at me and said, “Trust me!” And wow, my dress turned out beyond perfect. On the wedding day, I truly couldn’t take my eyes off of it.
She taught my sister how to correctly corset and bustle my dress, and she also taught me how to walk and sit properly in my dress.
If you are looking for someone who is skilled, confident, and genuinely cares about their craft, Wendy is it. I cannot recommend her enough. -

Beautiful Wedding Dress Alterations
Wendy was so professional and kind. She paid such extreme attention to detail for my wedding dress and the turn out was so much better than I could have imagined! The dress ended up fitting like a glove and the bustle was so elaborately created that the train looked just as gorgeous down as it did up and attached! Wendy was amazing!
Wendy was wonderful and did an amazing job on my dress! She taught my bridesmaids how to do the corset backing and how to tie a proper bow. I originally went to her thinking my dress was way too big but she showed us how to properly put and on and it fit liked a glove! I wanted to wear a bra with my dress and she added bra loops which allowed me to do that. She did an amazing job tightening the sleeves which were way too loose. My dress looked beautiful! -

I just picked my dress up from final alterations and could not be happier! I have a luxury dress with a lot of lace, sequins, and fabric and I was scared to let anyone touch it. Thankfully, a friend recommended Wendy to me and I’m so glad that she did. The bottom of my dress had to be cut and restitched on due to the floral appliqué at the hem. I had no idea how this could possibly go well, but Wendy made it look as through the dress had never been touched and yet somehow looked even more perfect for me. I 100% recommend Wendy for any and all types of dresses - if she can alter mine then she can alter anything!
UPDATE: wedding was a huge success and the 13-point bustle for my train was PERFECT. see pictures! -

Dependable and excellence!
We used Wendy for my oldest daughter’s wedding dress, and she did excellent then, so we felt confident to use her for my second daughter’s wedding dress. Wendy worked well with us to get the fittings in, though we had a short window of time. She was generous and kind through each step. There was a need right at the end and Wendy went beyond the call of duty to resolve it. As the mother of the bride, I’m so grateful to her. She gave us peace and calm and an absolutely Beautiful wedding dress! 🙌🏻 -

Wendy is a really skilled alterations specialist.
I found Wendy here on WeddingWire. After messaging her she was very responsive and was able to immediately fit me into her schedule. We set up a meeting and I went to her house/office with my dress.
Wendy was very knowledgeable and informative about what alterations I might want or needed. She never tried to upsell me on expensive alterations - only told me what I would need in order to have the perfect fit for my wedding dress.
Since I planned on having a barefoot beach wedding, and the dress I had purchased had nearly fit me like a glove, we decided that I would need only hemming on the bottom layers (so they wouldn’t drag) as well as a bustle for the train. She also added an interior belt (to help keep my dress up because it was strapless) as well as some cups just to keep me more comfortably in place.
She set up two fittings after I left the dress with her, all over the the span of only two months. Each time checking with me, communicating the details, and answering all of my questions.
In less than 3 months she took my dress from being too long and loose to fitting me PERFECTLY on my big day. And my girls 🍈🍈 looked INCREDIBLE 🤣
She also took the time to reach me and record a video of my dress bustle so I would know how to (or can teach someone at my wedding) to bustle it (since there were around 12 buttons!)
Not only that, but she was half the price of the big box stores (who tried to sell me crazy alterations even I knew I didn’t need).
Wendy is so personable and kind and patient. I highly recommend her device to any bride - or anyone needing alterations. I will forever be grateful to her for helping me look and feel so beautiful in my dress on my big day! -

Fantastic Seamstress and Lady
Wendy altered my wedding dress and a bridal shower dress and I could not be more happy with the results. She was flexible with scheduling and outlined her plan to finish the alterations with me. She was kind, friendly and professional. She did an absolutely beautiful job on both of my dresses you cannot tell she altered them even within very fine details. She is very particular in the best way and makes sure everything is how you want it. I am so happy with my dress and getting to wear it on my big day was a dream come true. She even had an appointment for my maid of honor to learn how to put up my bustle and she was so patient and such a good explainer. I would recommend Wendy to anyone who wants or needs alterations. I bought my wedding dress of Facebook marketplace from a recent bride who didn't see the need to hang onto her dress. I had a consult with Wendy and returned for alterations, and she made my dress fit like it was designed specifically for me! I have uneven breasts and an asymmetric chest wall deformity that she did a great job hiding and offered options to further cover it up but I didn't feel I needed it after her alterations. Amazing job, highly recommend! -

Wedding dress nightmare recovery with Wendy
The first seamstress I went to for simple alterations (or so I thought were simple) completely destroyed my dress. I was referred to Wendy by multiple people and I’m so glad I found her. She IMMEDIATELY spotted one of the biggest issues of why the dress did not fit or look the same and new exactly what to do to fix. She completely disassembled and reconstructed the bodice of my gown. She also fixed my skirt which was a difficult project on its own(the skirt was floor length ball gown style that I wanted tea length). Wendy is extremely informative on what and why she is doing certain things and honest with what can and cannot be done, But after what she was able to do with my dress disaster I find it hard to believe that there is much she can’t do. Wendy is an alterations genius and I will forever recommend and use her for any alterations I need. -

Wendy was great to work with! I purchased my dress at the White Magnolia in Tampa and she was one of their recommended seamstresses and I’m so glad I found her. She is responsive, professional, and accommodating. My dress did not have much structure and I’m small chested so it took a few appointments to get it right but Wendy was incredibly patient with me in getting it right. This was no fault of hers as I believe my dress was ordered in a few sizes too big and it was made for someone who may have been able to fill it out more “naturally” if you will. Wendy added and removed different cups multiple times to my liking and we finally got it to where I was comfortable. Double sided tape and boob tape sealed the deal and it fit perfectly! Aside from my cup issues, everything else was perfect and my dress exceeded my expectations thanks to Wendy! I definitely recommend her and would use her again! -

Professional Tailor For All Your Wedding Needs!
Wendy was a pleasure to work with. Due to complications with COVID I ended up having to buy a dress online overseas and was extremely worried that I would not be able to have it altered in time. I was nervous that a tailor would ruin it and I would not have time to fix it or find another dress. There was no need to worry with Wendy! I purchased a beautiful crepe dress from The Dressing Room, it was off-the-rack so it wasn't my size and needed some repairing to buttons and beading. Wendy completely brought my dress back to life and altered it to fit my body like a glove. I went to two alteration consultations before I found Wendy, her prices were a lot more affordable and she was far more professional and knowledgeable than the other two that I met with. Wendy took my dress in, shortened it, and repaired all buttons and beading, she also added a nice belt to it since the one that it came with was in poor condition. She is also a bustle queen! She lifted up my heavy crepe gown with a 16 point bustle and it stayed put all night. All brides should go to Wendy, you and your dress are in the best hands with her! She is the only seamstress that I would recommend for Florida brides. -

I bought my dress in Pittsburgh, PA (my hometown) and had my alterations done there. I am getting married in St. Pete Beach...and due to my alterations taking a little longer, my dad ended up flying my dress to Florida less than a month before my wedding. I tried it on, hoping for everything to fit just right, and in sheer panic I called my closest friends because the top of my dress gapped out exposing my chest (no thank you!) ....My very good friend, who I consider my "fairy godmother" because she is always saving my life, said not to worry - Monday morning, she found Wendy, made us an appointment and we were there later that day. Wendy was so kind to take us in, she knew exactly what to do (I had trouble since moving here finding a seamstress I trust - I have tried at least 8!) ...she made my dress perfect! She worked with me on how to properly sit and move in my dress, as well as the best way to put it on. She was extremely patient, helpful and understanding of the insecurities I was having. I can’t recommend her enough. I seriously can’t believe what she was able to do with my dress. I got my dress off the rack, missing a button, way too long, way too big and somehow she made it fit like a glove! She probably took it in about two sizes and did it with horsehair and lots and lots of beading, and for an AMAZING price! I expected to spend about $800 on alterations based off what I’d heard, but she charged about half that. She also steamed my dress & veil, which turned out perfect! I really don’t know how she does it but she’s amazing!! Highly, highly recommend. -

I fell in love with and purchased the very first dress I tried on! But there were a few things that I wanted to change about the dress to ultimately transform it into my dream gown. It was far too long (I'm 5' tall), I wanted to have lace removed from the front and the back of the dress and I also wanted a slit in the leg. Wendy completely understood my vision and she tailored the fit completely to me. She added bra cups and even cut the bodice to be snug and compliment my frame. She also created a gorgeous bustle to lift my train. The removal of the lace was a tedious job and Wendy had no problem taking on the task. The before and after photos of my dress are absolutely shocking and breath-taking. I thought I loved my dress before, but thanks to Wendy - the after of my dress left me completely speechless. It looks like my dress was 100% made for me. Wendy is a true artist. Her attention to detail, her patience, her creativity and her love for her craft made my dream dress a reality. I could not be more pleased. If you are needing a seamstress for your wedding dress, bridesmaid dress, flower girls, mom's dress and you are in the Tampa area, Wendy is the go-to option. -

Anne Sent on 09/13/2018Dress fit like a Royal glove! Wendy did an amazing job with both my daughters wedding gown and my MOB gown. She was professional, on time, price was worth every cent. I was taken aback by the MANY compliments at the wedding on how the dress looked like it was MADE for our daughter the bride and how well it fit her body. Wendy also put in a bustle that worked great once it was time to dance! She’s amazing and was worth the drive for fitting in her home when we couldn’t get to Malindy Elene shop in time. Also note, she had to take off the lace at the bottom hem the dress then put back on. AMAZING! (FYI price was for both Bride and MOB dresses)

Amira Sent on 06/20/2018I will be recommending Wendy to everyone! She altered my wedding dress and it was done in a timely manner and SO affordable! Wendy added 15 bustle points to my dress, added cups to the top, hemmed it AND took the boning out and redid it because it wasn’t laying right! After all that, my wedding dress still looked beautiful and it was every thing I hoped it could be after alterations! I then returned to have a bridesmaids dress altered for an upcoming wedding. And THEN again for another dress that was too big up top. Both of the other dresses were done within a week and of course looked perfect. You will not be disappointed if you come to Wendy for alterations!

She stayed up late into the night to work on my 13-POINT BUSTLE. This bustle was so natural looking when it was up. Wow. She's really a master of her craft, and extremely affordable!

Maritsa Sent on 02/11/2018Wendy is truly a master seamstress. She quite literally saved my wedding day when she rush fitted and altered my very delicate, many layered tule Lazaro gown. My wedding dressed had to be sent back to the designer due to some issues on their part cutting the skirt. When it Finally came back it was about a week and a half to my wedding day and I was in full panic mode. I did not think it would be possible to finish any needed alterations in time on such a delicate gown (the whole gown was made of tule and lace). My bridal shop sent me to Wendy, and I can not tell you how thankful for her I am. Not only was her work flawless she had my gown ready in less than a week. She took in the bodes, hemmed the inner lining, installed a belt and created a gorgeous 12 point bustle for my gown. It was perfect.
I can not recommend Wendy enough to any bride looking for an expert seamstress. My gown was probably one of the most difficult type of dresses you could alter, and she did a gorgeous job. I will continue to take all my alterations to Wendy from now on. -

I had a Blush by Hayley Paige dress (Pepper Gown) that had a ton of layers of finished tulle which required being altered from the waste. I also had the straps tightened, bra pads sewn in and my bustle done. As you can imagine, I was really nervous because the top is beaded but Wendy was precise with her measurements and had total confidence and of course my dress turned out PERFECT! Wendy works out of her home and is a complete professional and very organized. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Wendy – your wedding dress is in GREAT hands with her!

Rebecca Sent on 11/19/2017Wendy was so great! I was extremely nervous as I'm not from Tampa and didn't get my dress here, thus no major store dress boutiques alteration services would touch it. I was (very!!) nervous to give my designer gown to anyone, especially in someone's home, but Wendy's confidence convinced me. I had no clue what type of train, etc I was suppose to be getting but Wendy literally took care of everything. I received a huge amount of complaints not only on my dress but how it look "at my reception" (aka bustled). I have seen photos of this same dress worn by other brides since my wedding (same designer-
not my dress) and none of them had it bustled as much off the floor as I did and none looked like a totally different and amazing dress. She saw my dress and had the perfect vision. She also fixed my no bra issue with the dress and had to resize some lace and made it look perfect. I feel so lucky to have found Wendy! Did I mention she is super affordable? -
