Denise was amazing!!! Her work was top-notch and her prices are UNBEATABLE. She was so sweet and kind too, and she works very fast! I had 2 dresses fitted (one as a backup) and they both came out perfect! I highly recommend her! -

She's the best!
Denise is magical! I had a very intricate dress that I had purchased off the rack (a size up), and she managed to make it fit like a glove. In addition to the hem & bustle, she made it fit my short torso, and did some complicated work to make sure that I filled out the bust in a way that looked natural.
She was recommended to me on Facebook, and I couldn’t have been more lucky to find her. She is based at a hotel in Lithicum, MD, but was kind enough to do a house call for my first fitting because I don’t have a car. Her pricing was extremely reasonable, and the quality of her work is impeccable. -

Denise is such a joy to work with!! She takes such personal care for every dress and every bride she meets!! She wanted my dress to be pure perfection for my wedding day and was so bothered that the dress zipper was visible that she masterfully reworked the dress so the zipper was beautifully hidden. We were having difficulty with a decorative sash to add to my dress and Denise painstakingly molded the sash with clear webbing so it would be secure with the dress. She even called me before my final fitting to make sure I was happy with how she planned to fix the decorative sash. I loved working with Denise!! I especially love her energy!!! You have to see Denise! -

Denise was so delightful to work with! She responds quickly, has reasonable pricing, and does amazing work! I had a consignment dress that was a little old and wanted to add cap sleeves to my dress. Denise told me she would try to make it happen but couldn't make any promises because the fabric was very hard to match. Denise was able to fulfill my wishes and the dress was everything I wished for!!! Thank you so much Denise!! -

I will continue to recommend Denise for alterations. She was an absolute dream to work with. Super patient and did everything I wanted to my dress and then some. As a picky bride, I wanted certain things about my dress fixed (like the bustle couldn't make my butt look big, or I wanted the top fixed so that my bra didn't show, or when I sent her an email frantically freaking out about the "back butt situation") - Let me just say, Denise is so much fun to work with, she's super kind, puts you at ease and works on a great schedule to get your items executed properly. Thank you Denise for making my dress perfect. -

Nikki Sent on 08/20/2018Denise was so lovely to work with on so many levels! My dress looked so amazing. She put a corset into my dress when there was a zipper to begin with. My dress did zip but I have always wanted a corset dress and she was happy to oblige. She worked well with other clients and made time to listen to our wedding story. She even came in extra early the weekend before my wedding to do the last fitting! Truly and amazing kind hearted lady right here! -

Dawn Sent on 08/05/2018WOW! It has been a year since Denise altered my wedding dress, and you would not believe what Denise went through to make it happen. While Denise was working on my dress, Alfred Angelo abruptly went out of business 2 weeks before the wedding. Luckily, she was so determined to make sure I was not stressed and that everything still got done. She could not have been more personable and positive. Even with not having enough supplies, she found someone 2 hours away that had my same dress and drove there herself to get the same lace to match my dress. I could not have been more fortunate to have found someone who put so much care into my dress.

Tina Sent on 07/09/2018I was an AA bride. Even though originally I had not spoken to Denise directly at the AA store when I ordered my dress, WE HAD A PLAN! Then as many of us know, AA did what they did and made for many unhappy and angry brides, bridesmaids, and MoBs. I thought, even though I was able to get my dress elsewhere (thank you Facebook!), I'd never find the seamstress from the store to help me with the plan we made. Lo and behold she was in the news for her selflessness, even later being on Mike Rowe's new FB show called "Return the Favor." I wrote to the Baltimore Sun reporter that did the story who thankfully put me in touch with Denise. Yay! Plan back on!
I had the Snow White gown (250 which i believe was 2017??), which is absolutely huge, the biggest ball gown the store had at the time. Denise not only did all my alterations for it, but since I colored the bottom of the dress myself and (as she says) made the mistake of waiting on the bustle until AFTER I colored it, it turned her sewing room PURPLE!
She also did my alterations for my reception dress and helped me with a whole new plan for it, and THEN made my flower girl's dress to match mine as much as possible (which I then colored the bottom of as well).
Can't find enough good words for Miss Denise! Hugs, lady! Wish you'd have crashed us!

She gave me an estimate to start with, explained the process, prepared me for what the dress would look like at my first fitting, and did a great job on the alterations. As a point of comparison, my strapless dress was at least 1 size too big for me and the skirt, which has lots of layers, was too long. Someone else I went to wanted to cut the bodice under the arms, creating seams where there were none, and was going to make no attempt to match up the pattern on either side of the seams. For that plus hemming the skirt, she quoted me $450 but she wasn't sure about the price, because she didn't know how long it would take. Miss Denise, by contrast, said she didn't want to mess with the pattern on the bodice so she just cut out the zipper in the back and instead of cutting the skirt, she just lifted the layers. For that plus raising the bustles, Miss Denise charged me way less than the other lady's estimate that was going to chop up my dress. And the dress looked lovely when she was done.

My wedding was only about 6 or so weeks away so time was limited. I recalled hearing about her in a wedding group I am in because of her work helping brides who had dresses through a bridal shop that had closed suddenly. She was so easy to communicate with and she set my appointment shortly after we spoke. I went to see her and she did not try to pressure me into any alterations that I did not want. I also got my dressed cleaned by her and I will definitely use her services again, she was in my budget. Book her, you will not be disappointed! -

Jennifer Sent on 05/07/2018Denise is amazing. First off, she was very patient with me when I sent her multiple questions to see what the catch was with her pricing. There was none. She was half the cost of everywhere I looked. So I thought, well that's my kind of price. I warned her that I had dropped 2 sizes and may drop more. She said that was fine. I took the dress in and I'm so happy I chose her. She saw my vision and made my dress better than my dream. I didn't want a train until she showed me the naked train (just the top layer makes up the train which mine was all lace). It is stunning! I didn't want a traditional bustle because I think they look like a fox tail; she made my bustle to the side and it's elegant and works perfectly. She remembered me and asked about my life every time I visited her. Very professional, talented, and extremely fair pricing. -
Rachel Sent on 03/27/2018I can't say enough how absolutely wonderful Denise is. Denise goes above and beyond for her brides! She was very responsive and made sure everything was ready with plenty of time. She even came to my apartment for a fitting when my mom was in town and steamed my Veil for me. She is extremely family in her pricing as well. I can't thank Denise enough for all that she did for me! I will be going to her for any other dress alterations I need in the future!!

She completed alterations on my cousin's dress where I was a bridesmaid and I was very impressed by her knowledge and expertise and had to have her for my own wedding. She was very professional. I had my wedding on the beach and inside with heels so she did three sets of bussles for me. She also is a sweetheart. My dress fit perfectly. And her pricing is affordable. If you are looking for someone who you can trust with your dress with no worries then Ms. Denise is the best choice! Don't cheat yourself with your dress by getting someone who is less experienced. Over 20 years of experience. You can't beat that.

Alison Sent on 11/30/2017Denise was WONDERFUL to work with! She is an amazing seamstress and made my dress fit my body perfectly for my big day. She personable and fun to work with as well. She made me feel comfortable( I am kind of modest) and was professional. She is very detailed oriented, making sure every piece of the dress was perfect. She suggested sewing in cups for my dress as the bra, which really added to the dress. She also did the alterations on the flower girl's dress and able to get her to stay still and listen while being fun and kind. I would highly recommend using Denise for your alteration needs! I know we will be using her again :)

Denise did an amazing job on my wedding dress. Picking a seamstress is stressful but Denise walked me through everything on day one and gave me an incredibly reasonable quote for the work I needed done. She was able to get the work done for my dress quickly and professionally. She is incredibly kind and responsive. I would absolutely recommend Denise.
