I just recently moved to the area and I had no clue on who to take my dress to but then I found Sean. Sean did a fantastic job altering my wedding dress. I was beyond happy with the work he did in a small amount of time. Couldn’t have wanted my dress any other way. Excellent professional! I took a dress to be altered and was extremely happy with the result — Sean is absolutely impeccable. He was honest, helpful, and professional from start to finish.
When I asked for his opinion about an older dress I had, he clearly explained all the work involved and the costs, and made me feel completely comfortable and free to decide whether or not to move forward with the alteration. He was very transparent in explaining that the repair would not be worth it due to the high cost, which truly helped me make the best decision.
The price he charged for altering my new dress was very fair, and the quality of his work exceeded my expectations. Trustworthy, skilled, and reliable.

I got my wedding dress altered here and Sean is amazing!! He gave me great advice and options for alterations. I ended up getting my dress hemmed and bustled and it was done quickly and you can see the quality of how well everything was done. I cannot recommend this place enough!! Prices are reasonable, he is quick with responding, and the alterations were done quickly!! 100000/10 recommend for any of your alteration needs!!!!!

I'm very happy that I went to Sean for my wedding dress alterations. He didn't require me to start my alterations months in advance, like the bridal shop wanted me to do. In addition, he was very patient and made sure that I was happy with all aspects of my dress. He would alter one portion of the dress, have me come in and try it one, and then alter the next portion. His attention to detail and the care he puts into his work goes above and beyond.

Sean is a consummate professional in his work and guidance on what goal you want to achieve. He was able to provide expert guidance on how to modify my dress to make it appear that it was made for me. He worked under a tight deadline to achieve quite a bit of work as I have to travel frequently.
He, like many others, has adopted a work from home environment where he has created a separate space in his home for his alteration store. Don’t allow this to give you pause as his store front is better than I have seen in other alteration shops.
His prices are commiserate with his expert knowledge and craftsmanship. If you hesitate and go somewhere else, you may regret it as you would end up back at his store requesting help.

I was extremely pleased with the level of communication and professionalism presented by Sean during my experience. I brought him my dress last minute for an alteration and he was able to make much needed fixes with a short turnaround time. About 5 months ago I met Sean when I was shopping around for someone to alter my wedding dress and have it ready for this month in November. He explained everything in detail and it sounded like a lot of work which honestly justified his pricing; however, it was well over my budget. He was my first pick but due to costs I ended up going to another seamstress. Fast forward to 3 weeks ago when I picked up my dress, I was so disappointed and frustrated as the other seamstress left a fold in the front and the sides were sticking out a bit looking unnatural. I had it tailored to look a bit more like a mermaid dress and I get that it may create a slight fold in the front because it’s tight in the hips but it was so noticeable, sticking out even while standing. I asked the seamstress to fix it but they told me they can’t and that it was normal. I immediately thought of Sean and regretted not sticking with him. As the saying goes, you pay for what you get. I called Sean the next day almost crying and he agreed to check it out. I was so thankful he took me in on such short notice considering he had so many other dresses to fix and I needed mine ready in 3 weeks. I did 2 fittings and he completely fixed the front. I thought it was impossible to fix. I felt such a relief. He also agreed to fix the sides and back in such little time. I’m so happy with how my dress is turning out. If you want quality work, I recommend him 100% especially if you need your wedding gown altered. Don’t try to save in alterations as you may end up paying more in the long run and have to deal with unnecessary last minute stress. You are already busy and stressed with other uncontrollable things this shouldn’t be one of them.

Sean was once again great to work with! He is knowledgeable, professional, & provides quality work! His online booking is very easy to use. He impressed me years ago with how quick he was able to turn around a last minute dress alteration & when David’s Bridal delayed my dress to the point of needing to buy one off the sales floor just weeks before my wedding, Sean once again came through for me & was able to get my dress perfect quickly. Sean was amazing to work with. I went to him incredibly late, just about two weeks before my wedding, and he immediately got to work to make my dress fit me. At my last fitting, my wedding dress fit as if it were custom made for me. Sean walked me through each step carefully, and respectfully, and made sure that I was happy with the end result. He did a beautiful job in such a timely manor that it took all of my stress away. I appreciated him rushing my order, while still taking the time to do an amazing job. I would definitely go to him again for any alteration needs!

Incredible Alterations!
I first visited Alteration House about two years ago and Sean was so great to work with. I needed the bottom of a bridesmaid dress hemmed and he took the time to explain to me the different lengths and how each would look to help me determine what would work best. He works incredibly hard to ensure that your garments will be ready to go in a quick time span as well. I just dropped off some more dresses that needed to be hemmed and again he really took the time to help. His work is very precise! If you need some alterations, I highly recommend! 😀

Engagement dress to wedding dress
I needed my engagement dress sized down, so I decided to try Alteration House after looking at the reviews. Sean took the time to discuss different options for the alterations, and was even able to leave the additional fabric sewn into the size if I ever want to resize the dress up. Everything turned out great! In fact, because it went so well, Alteration House is who I decided to use for my wedding dress alterations. I'm sure it will turn out amazing!

What can I say except that Sean is amazing at what he does! My husband took his wedding suit to Sean and he gave him several different options on how to make him look his best. For me Sean was a life saver! I had taken my wedding dress to be altered somewhere else and the work was AWFUL! I called Sean in tears and he immediately made time for me and explained how to best fix the dress. He had to undo so much of what the previous person had done so he gave me options. Especially since I had already spent so much on alterations. He is meticulous about his work and can tackle any difficult job. Sean will now be my go to for any and all alterations!!

Sean worked some serious magic to do last minute alterations on my wedding dress! I am so impressed. I went to him prior to my first wedding date to get the bust of my dress altered, and when I went back, the dress fit like a glove. We had to postpone the BIG wedding due to covid, so I decided to do a small ceremony with a different dress until next year. 2 days before the wedding I decided I wanted to wear my dream dress, but still needed it hemmed! I called Sean and he was able to get me an appointment the same day for a fitting, and he had it altered to perfection two days later for my wedding. He was very professional and gave me different options for the hem and the bustle. I highly recommend Sean for alterations and will be going back to him in the future!

Great service, Great Work, Would Hire Again w/o Hesitation
I knew I was in the hands of a professional from the second he opened his door. I'd reached out because I purchased a Sherwani to wear as a Groom for my upcoming wedding. I'd purchased it over the internet, so of course when it arrived it didn't quite have the flattering look I needed.
He broke it down for me bit by bit, explaining all the options I had, why some options wouldn't work as well on my outfit as they would on an American suit, why certain alterations would result in an unflattering or uncomfortable results. I felt like I was trusting my wedding to someone who truly took pride in his craft and business, with the skill and knowledge to back it up.
Most importantly the outfit came back looking pristine, fitted just the way I wanted it to when it first arrived. He'd given me his timeline ahead of time and delivered early. Would 100% recommend.

The Alteration House is a one-man tailoring service. The owner/tailor, Sean, is very professional, and did a fantastic job tailoring my wedding gown. I was impressed by his attention to detail, his timeliness, and his price.
My wedding was at the end of March, so I first made an appointment with Sean at the beginning of January. The booking system is online, and is very easy to use. I brought my dress in and showed it to him, and he insisted that, if I trust him, that I should come back at the beginning of March for my dress fitting.
I'll admit, I was nervous to wait so long to have my dress tailored, but Sean wanted to make sure that my dress fit perfectly. After his work, it did. I had my dress taken in through the bodice and I had a bustle put in, and I was very happy with all the recommendations that he made.
His office is out of his garage, so don't be alarmed when you drive into a subdivision for your first appointment--Sean is an absolute professional.

Sean is a master tailor. I came to him with a dress that was two sizes too big, and he made it fit like a glove. This was not an easy job. My dress had incredible detailing, with embroidered appliqués and rhinestones stitched onto tulle with invisible (clear) thread. He had to remove the appliqués from the side seams, take in two inches on each side, and then re-stitch the appliqués back onto the dress. At the end, the dress was flawless! In addition to this work, Sean adjusted the many layers of satin, muslin, and tulle underneath the dress to make sure that the fit was perfect. I highly recommend Alteration House to any bride in need of high quality alterations. Whether you are looking for a custom dress or just need a skilled tailor, Sean is your guy. Even after the wedding, I am still getting compliments on this dress!

Sean was a LIFESAVER for this bride! I live in Oklahoma but the rest of my family is on the east coast, so I didn't have anybody with me during my fittings and alterations. A week out from the wedding I was still unhappy with my alterations, but I was just going to live with it until my mom called Sean. He allowed me to come in 2 days before my wedding and listened to all my nitpicky concerns, gave valuable suggestions, and had the dress ready the NEXT MORNING! His work was gorgeous, his studio was impressive and easy to find, and he took on a challenge when 10+ other vendors my mother called would not. Especially if you're a Disney bride coming from out of town, Sean is just right up the road and can be trusted to handle any last-minute crisis!!!

Ruined my daughter's wedding dress
Horrible workmanship and communication. He ruined my daughter's wedding dress and charged us $2450. It was suppose to be shorter in the front, longer in the back and it is the opposite. (see picture) Also, bottom was not cut evenly. (see picture) Chose him because of the good reviews. Hope this doesn't happen to another bride. My daughter is devastated.

Rude and Overpriced
I'm not sure how he has so many 5 star reviews. I tried going there for 2 of my junior bridesmaids and my wedding dress. He was super rude and unkind when it came to my wedding dress. He told me my dress was horrible and I needed a new one. I ended up not using him for my wedding dress but he still did the junior dresses. I asked him to remove the padding from them and replace with a thinner one and he didn't do it. This is also in his garage. The pricing is high. I truly don't understand how he has 5 stars.
