What a beautiful venue! The views are incredible!!! The wedding turned out amazing! The wedding coordinator Misti is a literal SAINT. All of the staff is so so kind. All of my friends and family were taken care of! I got to just show up and relax day of!!!

We chose Alta Lodge for our wedding based on the charm of the lodge and the absolutely stunning mountain views and wildflowers. However, we quickly discovered that one of the best aspects of having our wedding at Alta Lodge was working with the wonderful staff! Everyone was friendly and responsive leading up to our wedding, and worked incredibly hard to make our big day run smoothly; even after we had to postpone our celebration for an entire year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The venue is beautiful (of course), the food was excellent and all of our guests’ dietary needs were expertly taken care of, and the staff was flawless with setting up, taking down, and everything in between. Leading this highly capable and friendly team was our day-of coordinator Molly Austin. We honestly cannot say enough about Molly – she answered all of our questions (there were a lot), she was an invaluable resource while we were planning our wedding, and then she helped us execute our special day to absolute perfection! Molly and the Alta Lodge staff went above and beyond at every turn, making our wedding a spectacular event! We could not be happier with the venue and the people, and we are truly grateful that we chose Alta Lodge for our wedding. There is no need to look at any other venue, book Alta Lodge for your celebration right away! Thank you, Molly! Thank you everyone at Alta Lodge!

Choosing Alta Lodge was easily the best decision of my wedding planning! The women who run the events department are outstanding in every single way. After having to postpone the wedding a year due to Covid, they made everything so easy and stress free. Their communication and execution are incredible. Every time I emailed or called, I had an answer within hours. Every request or idea I had for the setup and design, they totally handled! The service staff, catering, bar service, and lodging all came together for the perfect, most wonderful night we could have ever imagined. Thank you, Alta Staff, for really giving us the best day ever. Worth every penny, every call, and every moment of wedding planning alongside you. Shout out to Rosie, Becky, and Molly for being absolute experts in their field!!

I can’t say enough great things about Alta Lodge. If you’re like me and you don’t really know exactly what you’re doing planning a wedding then this place is sooo helpful with their coordinators, workbooks and almost immediate responses to all inquiries. The food and drink was absolutely fantastic, the view is unmatched, and on top of that they were incredibly kind and accommodating to me (a bride who had to cancel due to the pandemic). My coordinators Molly Austin and Becky Slimming were absolutely fantastic. I’m sooo glad I booked here. Rosie was also incredibly helpful!!

If you are wanting a dreamy intimate mountain wedding.. look no further. We had our wedding at Alta Lodge on 8.28.20 and it was honestly a dream come true. Nothing beats that mountain view! So stunning! I've never seen a prettier view of the mountains. The lodge is such a cute venue and nothing beats its original charm. It's truly unique! The staff makes you feel at home and we are so happy to join the Alta family now. Rosie showed us the lodge in the beginning and was really helpful to give us all of the information that we needed. Molly was our wedding coordinator that came with the venue and was seriously a lifesaver!! She helped us every step of the way and made sure things were going as planned and things turned out just as we envisioned. When COVID happened, they let us know all of the new protocols and we are so lucky we didn't have to postpone our wedding. They did everything they could to make sure our wedding was perfect.. even during a pandemic. Wedding planning during COVID is a nightmare for anyone, and when the world was suddenly flipped upsidedown Alta Lodge was there for us. We had 10000 questions about planning during a pandemic, and Molly took the time to meticulously answer every single one so we could be at ease. We are so grateful for the Alta staff for their dedication to make our day perfect despite these uncertain times. The food at our reception was amazing and the steak was the best I've ever had! We cut our guest list down to 43 and it felt like the perfect amount for the space. Everyone had such a great time and loved everything. It was so fun to take pictures in the mountains right after our ceremony. The patio was the perfect place for all of our wedding events. We loved being outside and the weather was perfect that time of year. We could go on and on about how much we love Alta.. in conclusion, we can't recommend them enough! (:

Brunch here is AMAZING. Venue and backdrop, AMAZING. Service, AMAZING. Our wedding was so wonderful here and our out of town guests had a spectacular and memorable experience.

One large drawback: the dinner served is not even close to being comparable to their brunch quality. Our guests were actually shocked at the discrepancy between brunch and dinner. Meat and fish are vastly undersalted, the salad was very commercial, and the bread rolls were hard. If Alta Lodge can improve their dinner quality, this would have been the best venue we could have dreamed of.

Still was worth it for the view and service! (And brunch).

I don't know where to begin. Alta Lodge was the perfect place for our wedding. The views are obviously stunning to the point you don't even need much decor. More importantly; all the staff, especially Lindsay, Emma and Greg were were tremendous. Very helpful, patient, well organized, friendly and fun. Everything ran seamlessly and the night turned out better than we imagined! The staff worked with the vendors to make sure every one was on the same page and on time, all behind the scenes. They put all their efforts into keeping us happy, all with smiles on their faces. All in all it was a fabulous experience and we could not be happier that we chose Alta Lodge! Thank you guys for everything it was perfect!!

Alta Lodge was a great place to have a wedding. We were just there for the weekend of June 10th. There was still lots of snow on the mountains so the backdrop was beautiful. Their service and food are fantastic. We loved every minute of our time there. We highly recommend Alta Lodge for your wedding.

1. Maren, the wedding coordinator, is amazing. The day of the wedding was a breeze—she took care of EVERYTHING. The whole space was completely set up with all of our decorations, place settings, and guest book. She helped us immensely when we didn’t know where and when we were supposed to walk down the aisle and she made all of the transitions from each part of our evening very smooth and easy.
2. The rest of the staff at the Alta Lodge were incredible. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere that has been so accommodating. There are a lot of stairs getting in and out of the building, and the staff jumped to help anyone with any bags and were super quick to drive my 93 year-old grandma to the venue so she didn’t have to take the stairs.
3. The view from where the ceremony takes place is breathtaking. I’ve never been to a wedding before when people exclaim how gorgeous the background is (now, it was our wedding, so it makes sense that people are telling us nice things, but we totally agree!).
4. This place is super affordable and easy to understand the billing. They were transparent about all of the charges. We loved that there were so many things included in the price: a free night, a wedding coordinator, flowers, linens, etc.
5. If you like eclectic and cool places, this is the place. We loved that there was a hot tub and that breakfast was included every day. The brunch was AMAZING. There was a nice room on the top floor that was a common area for us to continue our wedding celebration after the actual wedding was over.
6. When we asked the Lodge about how they felt about having a queer wedding, they were very enthusiastic about us having our wedding there. One of the staff, Gregg, went out of his way to tell us how proud they were to have our wedding there. He also informed us that we were the first queer wedding at the Lodge. We are happy to say that we were the first and that we could see anyone feeling completely welcome here!

We could have not picked a better venue! The scenery was beautiful and the staff was really on point. We did not worry about a thing, they took care of everything! Maren was also a fabulous wedding coordinator helping us through the whole process. It was perfect, thank you!!

I don't even know where to start praising the owners and staff of the Alta Lodge. From start to finish the wonderful people at this resort made us feel welcome, appreciated, and enthusiastic about hosting our wedding at this venue. The views alone are to die for, but I will honestly say I have never had a better experience with a company or hotel/resort in my lifetime. Our experience began with Rosie O'Grady and we were then paired with the efficient and wonderful Gabrielle Landau. Planning a wedding at home is difficult, but planning a destination wedding from Ohio can be downright impossible without the right team and planning and I will say Gabi pulled this off without a hitch and was present and available throughout not just the process but before, during and after the wedding itself. I have heard nothing but rave reviews about the food and cake, thanks to the wonderful chef and service staff for ensuring everything was perfect.
I would not hesitate to recommend this venue and the staff hands down and have done so already with another friend getting married in the SLC area. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to Gabi, Rosie and the rest fo the staff and owners of Altal Lodge for pulling off a class act and making our special day so memorable. We will forever be grateful and staying from now on at Alta Lodge rather than Snowbird when we come to visit.

We got married at Alta Lodge this June and we couldn’t be happier with how everything went! First, The sales director and site coordinator, Rosie and Molly, made it so easy and stress free. The entire staff was easygoing and professional from the start. Second, the view for our ceremony and reception was beautiful which many of our guests enjoyed. Lastly, our reception food was exceptional and the Sunday brunch was also very delicious. All of our guests who stayed at the lodge had a wonderful time.

A perfect day surrounded by those we love! Only hiccup was they scheduled an morning wedding which was running late which stressed our vendors for decorating and setting up. While it’s a higher price you get a lot for it. Plus if you have majority of your guest traveling from out of town this is perfect to allow the party to keep going all night long!

The best experience and day ever! Rosie, Ketner, Greg and Tim made my day! It was amazing. We had a lot of rain and a miracle happened ... The sun! But they were all ready and flexible every minute! They were great! And the facility.... Who could want more!

Alta Lodge was a fantastic place for our wedding! The scenery was beautiful, the food was delicious, and everything was SO easy! I loved that they had a coordinator taking care of everything so neither I nor any of my guests had to worry about anything on my wedding day and everyone could just relax and enjoy the party. They were so easy to work with every step of the way through the planning process. It is a little on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for.

I also loved that they took care of some of the decorations like the bud vases on the tables and the display flowers in the lobby and at the entrance, and that they didn't do silly things like charge extra for linens or chairs. They had lovely string lights and heaters on the patio after the sun went down so we could keep on partying even though it was dark and cold.

They took great care to keep me in the loop with everything that was going on and any changes taking place. For example, on the day of my wedding there was a big bicycle race in the canyon so it was closed for a few hours. They made sure that I was aware of the closure and planned accordingly.

My only complaint was that due to the canyon closure, my hair and makeup people were late, so the ceremony started about 30 minutes late (my fault). Since the ceremony ran later than anticipated, they cut into the post-ceremony photography time to get back on schedule for dinner, cake, toasts, etc. I didn't realize this until later and there were a few group pictures that I would have liked that I didn't get. If someone had asked me, I would have said to just run everything later and cut into the dancing time, but no one asked. It was a minor thing and I didn't even notice until much later though.
