We wanted to get married within six months and had to make a lot of decisions quickly. We toured other similar venues but Almquist Farm stood out. The landscape was just breathtaking and there was flexibility since they have a beautiful reception hall where weddings can take place indoors year round. Paul and Kari were friendly, informative, and responsive. The granary is a separate building where were were able to get ready with plenty of space and was decorated in a welcoming way. The rolling hills of the landscape made our photos beautiful even in the late fall. The reception hall has tons of windows with lots of natural light and a stunning fireplace where we exchanged our vows. Our guests enjoyed the venue including the goats and kittens that were fenced just outside of the venue. Absolutely wonderful venue that I highly recommend!

Our day could have not been more perfect! The staff at Almquist Farm go above and beyond. This was the perfect venue for our wedding and would highly recommend it! Thank you so much Paul & Kari!!

My husband and I got married at Almquist last month, and I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place! Their outdoor reception site is absolutely ~dreamy~, and the reception barn is beautiful too! Everything about Almquist is classy, clean, and updated. We had almost 250 guests, and the space fit everyone without feeling tight. Paul and Kari were so easy to work with, and every single vendor that we hired spoke really highly about working with Paul and Kari. If you can book Almquist, DO IT!!!

My daughter and son-in-law were married in the winter. The ceremony and reception were held in the same building which is clean and beautiful. It is also full of natural light with all the french doors facing the countryside. It feels like your outside! In fact it was a nice February day that guests stood out on the front porch overlooking the old oak trees. Children were running over to the barn to see the goats. Paul and Kari are so easy to work with and felt like I've known them awhile! They are proud to share in the history of the farm and what they have done to make it a beautiful venue! The granary is where the wedding party and families get ready, it is one of a kind! Almquist Farm has something for everyone!

e got married a couple of weeks ago on August 13, 2021. From the very start, Paul and Kari were amazing. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is not easy, we had several questions that we needed to be answered and Paul and Kari answered quickly and with great detail. We had a PERFECT day. We had an outdoor ceremony where the sound worked perfectly. We had a HUGE bridal party that fit well in the "getting ready" areas. Paul and Kari were around helping all day long. We truly could not have picked a better place to get married. ALL of our guests told us how much they loved it and how beautiful Almquist Farms are. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone!

It's simple, really.... if Almquist Farm is open for your dream day-- BOOK IT!! Paul and Kari were extremely helpful and great hosts, we loved that we were working with family rather than a huge corporate structure. If you have toured or seen photos of the venue, you know it is stunning. Guests complimented it endlessly and loved the picturesque sunset, patio, and goats of course! The ceremony site is beautiful as well, and the shade from the big tree helped even our 85 degree day feel comfortable to guests. We 10/10 recommend.

We got married July, 2021 at Almquist and want to let you know how truly special our day was at Almquist Farm. Not only was the wedding day special, the process was wonderful. We toured and interviewed many, many, venues and when we met Kari & Paul, we knew it was the perfect family and venue for us to have our wedding at. Along the way, Paul & Kari were always responsive with any questions that came up and helped us along the way. They are extremely professional, organized and some of the kindest, genuine people we’ve met. The wedding day was better than we could have even imagined! From the girls and guys getting ready at the granary to the breathtaking ceremony, to the fantastic bar service in the reception, we couldn’t have asked for a better venue. Our guests said it was one of the best and coolest weddings they’ve ever been to. Thank you.

Paul and Kari were the easiest people toward with. They were extremely responsive and helped with anything we needed. We are still getting positve feedback about how beautiful our venue was and it was all because of Paul and Kari. The bridal suite was the perfect area to get ready for the day and it has everything anyone needs. The pictures taken in the suite are one of a kind. Unfortunately , we really wanted our ceremony outside and waited until the last minute , but it was rained out. They transformed the barn into a very intimate and beautiful ceremony site!!

We toured quite a few farm/barn wedding venues from minneapolis area to rochester area and we couldn't be happier with our choice of ALMQUIST FARM! Here are the main reasons we choose Almquist: 1. One large main heated/air conditioned reception hall with bathrooms (Thus, event enjoyment would not be weather/temperature dependent.) 2. Family owned and operated 3. Best price around! (We feel other places charged more while offering less.) Once we booked it was nothing but smooth sailing. Paul and Kari were very professional and super responsive to any questions we sent via email. The day of our wedding the place was absolutely beautiful! All the buildings were clean and tidy. The lawn, landscaping, and pathways were perfectly maintained. We could not have asked for a better venue or people to work with! Thank you Almquist Farm for helping make our wedding day so special and enjoyable!

Our wedding day took place at Almquist Farm on Friday, September 18th 2020 and we can honestly say that it was PERFECT! Almquist Farm was the first venue that we toured and it was also our last stop. Paul & Kari were so helpful and involved through out the entire planning process. They made it stress free with wonderful vendor recommendations, no hidden fees and their genuine passion and work they personally put into helping their couples create the wedding day they envision at their breathtaking venue. They are extremely timely in responding to any questions and offer great advice for planning. Even in the midst of the current many unknowns and uncertainties of this wild world, they were so easy to work with and did everything they could to create the special day we envisioned.
The venue in general including the property, the buildings, and the landscapes are simply and naturally gorgeous and are so well taken care of. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the space, the amenities and the staff- and we continue to receive compliments from our guests weeks and weeks later.

We had our incredible & beautiful wedding on September 6th, 2020! 110% + Recommend Almquist Farm for a wedding venue! We needed a new venue last minute due to Covid-19 and Paul & Kari were communicative & open with us from Day 1 of calling and helped us feel calm throughout the process. They always had answers to our questions and we appreciated their kindness & fast responses! The venue reception space, granary, ceremony site, baby goats & bonfire were beautiful, clean, and we received nonstop compliments throughout the day & night! Staff were incredibly kind and helpful and responsive! We appreciated every moment of our wedding day!! If we wish to repeat our wedding cheers in the coming years, we’d love to return to Almquist Farm in Hastings, MN!

We can't say enough good things about Paul, Kari and Almquist Farm. Paul and Kari were quick to respond to any questions we had during the planning process. The venue is beautiful and perfect for every part of the wedding day. The granary is a great spot to spend the day getting ready and the ceremony location is unbelievable.

We had our wedding during COVID and Paul and Kari were amazing throughout the whole process. We are so thankful we choose the Almquist Farm for our wedding and how they responded to the extra complication of COVID just solidifies our decision. We had a storm rolling in right around the ceremony time and Paul was there to explain all of our options, while also examining the radar the whole time. Paul was as invested in the outcome as our family was, which was amazing to see. We missed the rain and the sun came out for a perfect sunset. Thanks Almquist Farm!

Almquist Farm is one of the most beautiful venues. The scenery is exceptional, lush and green rolling hills overlooking the ceremony stage. The barn is beautiful, very polished and sleek inside. Paul and Kari are very thoughtful and put a lot of thought into everything they do. From their intentionally in creating a dance floor that is comfortable on your feet after hours of dancing to making it important to have a great wine selection at the bar. Parking was easy for guests, the kids were entertained by the goats nearby, lots of attention to detail and thoughtful went into creating this venue space.

Planning a wedding during co-vid puts a lot of stress on couples but also venue owners. Paul and Kari are incredible people and we felt so blessed to work with them. They were so understanding and accommodating. They were very proactive and sent out communication to keep couples informed on the situation and provided solutions and alternatives, such a rescheduling for a different date, allowing us to have a ceremony this year and a reception next year, or choosing the have the full wedding. We appreciated that Almquist Farm had the option to have ceremony and reception outside. We chose to have our reception outside and it was beautiful, the views of the sunset while having dinner were just incredible. At night, the stars are breathtaking.

My husband and I just got married here & had the most amazing day! We knew we wanted a barn venue & this checked off all of our wants and needs. The moment we toured it we knew it was the perfect place. We received non stop compliments from our guests on how beautiful Almquist is and how much fun everyone was having enjoying the goats, the outside hangout space, and the beautiful barn. The owners were so nice to work with from day one of wedding planning. Their whole family was so wonderful to us! They made all our wedding dreams come true!

Almquist Farm made all my wedding dreams come true. Paul and Kari were great to work with, they answered all our questions in a timely manner and were supportive during the pandemic. I loved everything about my wedding day and received a ton of compliments on how beautiful the venue was and how nicely everything was done.

I cannot recommend Almquist Farm enough. The venue is absolutely beautiful, from the gorgeous ceremony spot to the reception barn - it is seriously the prettiest space. More than being a breathtaking property, the owners, Paul and Kari, are the kindest, most accommodating people. They were always warm and welcoming, prompt in responding to calls/emails, and encouraged us through planning our wedding amidst COVID. They went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was the most perfect day! We could not be more grateful for them and our decision to book at Almquist Farm.

My husband and I had our wedding reception here in February and it was an absolute dream. Owners Paul and Kari were fantastic to work with and answered any questions we had promptly and professionally. A few weeks before the wedding we went to tour the grounds and walk through the day of schedule with Paul and Kari. They discussed many details to consider and took thorough notes on our day of plan to ensure we were all on the same page. Amazing couple, amazing venue. Definitely recommend to anyone considering Almquist Farm.

Paul and Kari were an absolute dream to work with. They were so quick and responsive to e-mails and phone calls and made the whole process of planning our ceremony and reception easy. They were incredibly flexible with us the morning of our wedding, as we had hoped to have an outdoor ceremony, but unfortunately it began to snow with a wind chill in the 20s mid October. We waited until the last possible minute to decide to have our reception indoors and it still turned out just as beautiful as we had imagined. We ended up going back to our venue the morning after to grab some items we forgot and we ran back in to Paul, and honestly talking with him felt like talking with a good friend He was so genuinely appreciative we had chosen Almquist for our wedding and had such personal and kind things to say to my husband and I about our wedding. The getting ready, ceremony and reception spaces are simply breathtaking, and our guests fell head over heels for the tiny goats they had. I highly recommend Paul and Kari and their beautiful venue.

It was so nice being able to have the entire event in one location instead of getting dressed, then driving to the ceremony, then shuttling to the reception. Having the entire wedding party get ready in the granary was a lot of fun. You can take a shower, have lunch, listen to music and shoot some pool then walk right outside for photos. Also, we went back to the granary for a private champagne toast after the ceremony.

There are so many opportunities for great photo backdrops in every direction, and the grounds are very well maintained.
Approved vendor list has plenty of options for catering to accommodate a wide range of tastes and budgets. A/V equipment provided for the ceremony worked out great. We loved the wooden tables and chairs provided for the reception- besides a table runner we didn’t even decorate with linens and decided to show off the wood instead.
Another point to note is that the venue can absolutely handle larger groups, but also caters nicely to smaller parties. We only had 80 guests and even when folks were dispersed both inside and out, the barn remained cozy and intimate instead of bare/empty.

Wonderful memories from a tremendous venue. Don’t forget to pet the goats when you visit!

Almquist farm is so beautiful and under such great care of Paul and Kari. We didn't need to do much decoration for all guests to appreciate the views. Paul and Kari also have a great selection for recommended vendors, do talk to them if you have any questions regarding any of the vendor on the lists, they give great advice based on your needs. Both me and my husband are so glad we could host our wedding there.

We had a very large wedding reception here and Paul and Kari were incredibly helpful!! We had such an easy time planning because they were always so responsive and ready to help! This venue is very beautiful. Our photos and our guests' photos turned out great as this venue is set up so beautifully. The drinks the bar made were also amazing, our guests had so many positive things to say about the way the drinks were made and the service they received when ordering. Overall, we had an absolutely perfect day all thanks to Paul and Kari!!

Perfect venue for a wedding!!! The whole day we heard comments about how beautiful the place is. Paul, Kari, and their staff were all fantastic and very easy to work with. They were helpful with many various details and they did everything they could to help make the process smooth. They are detailed in what is all included within their price with no hidden fees which is greatly appreciated! It is obvious that they took pride in their work, as they should- so many great details and the place was well built and they didn’t forget anything! Highly recommend if you are looking for a venue!
