We had our wedding on Saturday, 05/02/2026, and I can honestly say choosing this venue was one of the best decisions my husband and I made. It was the very first venue we toured, and even after exploring many other options, we ended up coming right back and booking it. Absolutely no regrets. Having a venue that already provided bar services was a huge bonus and took so much stress off our plate.
I was also really pleased with how accommodating Paul and Kari were throughout the process, especially in allowing us to bring in outside, non‑preferred vendors. I’m hopeful that in the future, our vendors and the venue can partner up and continue working together.Almquist Farm's reply:

Almquist Farm is stunning and we had the best day. It has such a great set up for ceremony and reception, it's truly beautiful inside and outside. The staff are so friendly and professional, they made our day special by getting some custom things for us. It was absolutely a steal in terms of price. So many of our guests told us it was one of the most beautiful weddings they had ever been to. 10/10 recommend.Almquist Farm's reply:

Almquist Farm is amazing! They made my special day even more special! The grounds look beautiful with the rolling hills and easy access to the outdoor ceremony space. The cenue in general does not need much for decorations. We had a nice bonfire going layer in the night that everyone started to make their way our there. And the goats were a big hit for everyone including the kids. The bridal building is perfect, the only negative was not a lot of natural light for the makeup artist in the one room but we made it work just had to keep the grooms away from that side of the building until my makeup was done which made it a fun game and had lots of laugh during that. Paul was great to talk to and helped us with the initial tour and when we came in the first Wednesday of each month he helped alot when we game in with questions he was able to answer them with ease. If I had to do my wedding all over again I would pick almquist Farm everytime! Very professional and family oriented and they really strive to make sure you have a perfect venue for your special day.Almquist Farm's reply:

Amazing location for a wedding
Almquist Farms is a beautiful location to host an outdoor or indoor wedding. Paul and Kari went out of their way to ensure every detail for our kids’ wedding was covered. Paul and Kari were so accommodating and flexible in the wedding planning. This location has everything you need. Lots of space for outdoor and indoor reception seating, goats and chickens to feed, beautiful outdoor altar at the top of a picturesque pasture, lots of room for games and outdoor activities, and a super friendly staff that ensures your guests are talking about the amazing wedding they attended for years to come.

We love Almquist Farm! Our June wedding here was a dream – we feel so lucky that we found this place! The venue itself is stunning, which we appreciate for the beautiful photos and the gorgeous setting the day of. We couldn’t imagine a better place to get married!
Our guests loved the venue, too. The shaded ceremony site really helped out on a warm day, and the birdsong down there is lovely. The lawn beside the barn is awesome for cornhole and tumbling tower, and the kids loved seeing the goats and chickens. We set up our tables around the dance floor so nothing had to be moved (200 guests), and there wasn’t a bad seat in the house. Guests also appreciated the campfire outside, which provided a nice break from the craziness indoors!
We loved working with Paul and Kari, who were really responsive; between their helpfulness and common-sense venue policies, we really felt like they’re in this to share their gorgeous property and help make wonderful memories (especially compared to other venues we toured, who would charge you for tap water if they could!). The bar was also a hit; we were glad that they had good options (things we would drink at home!), and they worked with us to set a bar schedule that worked with our budget.
We’re recommending Almquist to all our friends, not least because we want to go back as guests! Thanks, Paul and Kari, for a lovely experience! -

My guests keep telling me how beautiful it was and how fun the goats are. All of the kids were kept busy and had a great time. Paul and Keri are super nice and easy to work with. My hard-to-please old man farmer guests said the bar had really good service and the bartenders were awesome. It is really such a wonderful venue! -

My husband and I got married at Almquist last month, and I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place! Their outdoor reception site is absolutely ~dreamy~, and the reception barn is beautiful too! Everything about Almquist is classy, clean, and updated. We had almost 250 guests, and the space fit everyone without feeling tight. Paul and Kari were so easy to work with, and every single vendor that we hired spoke really highly about working with Paul and Kari. If you can book Almquist, DO IT!!! -

e got married a couple of weeks ago on August 13, 2021. From the very start, Paul and Kari were amazing. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is not easy, we had several questions that we needed to be answered and Paul and Kari answered quickly and with great detail. We had a PERFECT day. We had an outdoor ceremony where the sound worked perfectly. We had a HUGE bridal party that fit well in the "getting ready" areas. Paul and Kari were around helping all day long. We truly could not have picked a better place to get married. ALL of our guests told us how much they loved it and how beautiful Almquist Farms are. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone!Almquist Farm's reply:

It's simple, really.... if Almquist Farm is open for your dream day-- BOOK IT!! Paul and Kari were extremely helpful and great hosts, we loved that we were working with family rather than a huge corporate structure. If you have toured or seen photos of the venue, you know it is stunning. Guests complimented it endlessly and loved the picturesque sunset, patio, and goats of course! The ceremony site is beautiful as well, and the shade from the big tree helped even our 85 degree day feel comfortable to guests. We 10/10 recommend. -

We got married July, 2021 at Almquist and want to let you know how truly special our day was at Almquist Farm. Not only was the wedding day special, the process was wonderful. We toured and interviewed many, many, venues and when we met Kari & Paul, we knew it was the perfect family and venue for us to have our wedding at. Along the way, Paul & Kari were always responsive with any questions that came up and helped us along the way. They are extremely professional, organized and some of the kindest, genuine people we’ve met. The wedding day was better than we could have even imagined! From the girls and guys getting ready at the granary to the breathtaking ceremony, to the fantastic bar service in the reception, we couldn’t have asked for a better venue. Our guests said it was one of the best and coolest weddings they’ve ever been to. Thank you.

Memorable! Beautiful! Loved our Wedding Venue!
We had our incredible & beautiful wedding on September 6th, 2020! 110% + Recommend Almquist Farm for a wedding venue! We needed a new venue last minute due to Covid-19 and Paul & Kari were communicative & open with us from Day 1 of calling and helped us feel calm throughout the process. They always had answers to our questions and we appreciated their kindness & fast responses! The venue reception space, granary, ceremony site, baby goats & bonfire were beautiful, clean, and we received nonstop compliments throughout the day & night! Staff were incredibly kind and helpful and responsive! We appreciated every moment of our wedding day!! If we wish to repeat our wedding cheers in the coming years, we’d love to return to Almquist Farm in Hastings, MN! -

We can't say enough good things about Paul, Kari and Almquist Farm. Paul and Kari were quick to respond to any questions we had during the planning process. The venue is beautiful and perfect for every part of the wedding day. The granary is a great spot to spend the day getting ready and the ceremony location is unbelievable.
We had our wedding during COVID and Paul and Kari were amazing throughout the whole process. We are so thankful we choose the Almquist Farm for our wedding and how they responded to the extra complication of COVID just solidifies our decision. We had a storm rolling in right around the ceremony time and Paul was there to explain all of our options, while also examining the radar the whole time. Paul was as invested in the outcome as our family was, which was amazing to see. We missed the rain and the sun came out for a perfect sunset. Thanks Almquist Farm! -

I cannot recommend Almquist Farm enough. The venue is absolutely beautiful, from the gorgeous ceremony spot to the reception barn - it is seriously the prettiest space. More than being a breathtaking property, the owners, Paul and Kari, are the kindest, most accommodating people. They were always warm and welcoming, prompt in responding to calls/emails, and encouraged us through planning our wedding amidst COVID. They went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was the most perfect day! We could not be more grateful for them and our decision to book at Almquist Farm. -

My husband and I just got married here & had the most amazing day! We knew we wanted a barn venue & this checked off all of our wants and needs. The moment we toured it we knew it was the perfect place. We received non stop compliments from our guests on how beautiful Almquist is and how much fun everyone was having enjoying the goats, the outside hangout space, and the beautiful barn. The owners were so nice to work with from day one of wedding planning. Their whole family was so wonderful to us! They made all our wedding dreams come true! -

Almquist farm is so beautiful and under such great care of Paul and Kari. We didn't need to do much decoration for all guests to appreciate the views. Paul and Kari also have a great selection for recommended vendors, do talk to them if you have any questions regarding any of the vendor on the lists, they give great advice based on your needs. Both me and my husband are so glad we could host our wedding there. -

Kari, Paul and their attentive staff were absolutely amazing to work with! This venue boasts so much character and charm, no matter the season! We held our ceremony and reception with 225 guests on November 2, 2018. Paul built an incredible outdoor fire for our cocktail hour and reception, which was perfect for our crisp evening wedding. The incredible internet connection allowed us to stream our own music and save on DJ costs. The granary is just breathtaking and was the perfect backdrop for the crew to get ready and take photos. We have children and invited many kids to our wedding, and they LOVED to meet the little goats! I can’t say enough great things about this venue and the love the family put into it just to make it a dream spot for any event, especially for weddings!! I fell in love with the farm the moment I saw it and then working with Paul and Kari just sealed the deal!!!! -

Amazing Outdoor Farm Wedding Venue
This venue is absolutely amazing. There is no other way of putting it. The views, layout, amenities, and staff are all perfect. The barn has recently been renovated for inside receptions (air conditioning, chandeliers, full service bar, etc...) and the property is stunning. We visited this farm after already seeing a few other venues, both indoor and outdoor, but once we stepped foot on Almquist Farm we had already made up our mind! The owners are so easy to work with and extremely responsive to emails and phone calls. They set up all the chairs at the ceremony site and all the tables in the reception barn. All of our guests were raving about how beautiful the farm and property was. This is definitely going to be one of the biggest venues in the area in the coming years and we couldn't be happier that we got to spend our special day there! -

They have thought of many details and are willing to share their input from their knowledge of the wedding business. Paul & Kari were very welcoming, accommodating, and were eager to celebrate with us! They met with us beforehand to ensure all the details of chairs, tables, seating and decor were clear. They allowed us to take as much time looking around the property for our planning and brainstorming as needed. They were always prompt in answering questions via e-mail and were thorough, and detailed in their answers.

Emily Sent on 10/01/2018Would get married here 100 times over, it was that great of a venue! My husband and I originally booked with Almquist before the venue had been built. We went out on a limb but we are so glad we put our full faith and trust in Paul and Kari! They did such a beautiful job and the barn is hands down the most gorgeous barn I could have envisioned celebrating in. Along each step of the way, the Curtis family was readily available for any and all wedding questions. From arriving in the morning for rehearsal, to getting ready in the grainery, the first look out by the fields, the ceremony in the cascading trees, to the first dance under the vaulted ceilings, and the bonfire under the stars, it all mounted up to a magical day. We have received so many compliments on the venue but we can’t take any of the credit, it’s all thanks to the diligence and hard work of the Curtis Family. If you’re still searching for a venue, STOP. Go with Almquist, I promise it will be the best decision you make.

Jamie Sent on 09/12/2018My husband and I got married on August 2, 2018. Even though we had a small ceremony we didn’t feel that any details were over looked. Paul and Kari went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and special. The weather was beautiful and the scenery provided a memorable background for us to enjoy our pictures for years to come. We kept hearing over and over from our guests on how wonderful and unique the venue was which just reassured us that we chose the right place to have our special day.
From our initial meeting, where we got to tour their venue and discuss availability, to our wedding day, they listened to our ideas, provided feedback and even though our wedding was small they focused on all the details making sure everything looked amazing and captured our vision perfectly. They were constantly in contact with us during milestones of our wedding to ensure we were on track and everything was running smoothly.
If you are looking for a unique farm setting for your wedding or events we highly recommend the Almquist Farm!

The granary was the perfect space to get ready in and share intimate moments with the bridal party and family. The ceremony site was private and the landscape gorgeous! There were even deer spotted frolicking in the back drop. The reception site is perfect in that it allowed our guests to move freely from yard games outside to dancing inside. Not to mention has a beautiful, elegant feel to it. The owners, Kari and Paul were the icing on the cake. They were professional, yet made the experience exceptionally personal. They were so helpful and responsive throughout the entire process from our first visit until the last guests had departed. We cannot thank them enough for sharing their gorgeous space and for all their help and support. It was sad to say goodbye to them at the end of the night as at that point hey felt like family:) Almquist is the best!!

Colleen Sent on 05/21/2018Kari & Paul at the Almquist Farm are the absolute best! We could not be happier with our choice to have our big day at their venue. We got married in a blizzard April 14th 2018, and they worked relentlessly to keep everything going as planned. I am forever grateful for them. Some words to describe Kari & Paul - honest, hard working, genuine, responsive, kind, flexible, problem solvers. Some words to describe the venue - warm, welcoming, rustic yet refined and classic. With all of the tasteful finishes inside the event barn, you really don't need much for decorations which saves lots of time and money! We really love the outdoor and indoor spaces this venue provides, and even if you have to go with plan B of having everything indoor - there are soooo many amazing places to take photo's. The granary for getting ready is a special gem in itself for photos too:) You can't go wrong with the Almquist Farm! Seriously!
