Excellent team and alterations team

The staff at Allegria, including Barb, Gigi, and especially Luciane, were so wonderful to work with. I had been to several Boston bridal boutiques before our appointment at Allegria, but was actually enchanted with several of their dresses during the visit! They have a wonderful selection of timeless style dresses. The one I selected I am so pleased with, and wish I could wear it again! The fabric quality, the selection of the accessories they had to style it with, the top quality of the alteration services available on-site, and the service of all who worked with us make this a boutique I strongly recommend to brides in the Boston area. Had we not had two west coast bridesmaids who would not be able to travel to try on dresses, we would have also likely chosen bridesmaid dresses there, as they had a beautiful selection as well! Thank you so much again, Allegria!

Had an absolutely phenomenal experience with Allegria. Julie helped me pick my dream dress (she was so patient and truly helped me to pick the one that was perfect for me) and she also assisted in selecting our bridesmaids dresses. She made the whole process fun and stress-free! Luciane did my alterations and she is also just wonderful - such a sweet woman and ensured that my dress fit perfectly and that I was happy! It fit like a glove and felt confident in it!

Allegria Bridal is the best!!

Allegria Bridal is the best! Barb was so sweet, patient and accommodating from the start. She helped me to find the perfect dress! I was supposed to be married in 2020 so she helped me to preserve my dress as well for a full year. I was a bit nervous but it all went very smoothly and my dress was still stunning in 2021! The color was the exact same a year later. Barb even answered my mom's call on her personal cell one Saturday because we had an urgent question related to altering my wedding dress - she is the BEST! I also worked with Luciane, the seamstress Barb recommended, and she is AMAZING! The dress fit me so perfectly! Many people said the top of the dress looked painted on my body - that is how well it fit me :). I loved everyone I worked with here!! They will not disappoint.

Beautiful Bridal Shop!

I purchased my wedding dress at Allegria and had the absolute best experience! The selection of dresses was great (variety and options but not in an overwhelming way) and the staff was so helpful! I worked with Barb and it was because of her I got my dream dress! She was so friendly and went above and beyond to help me find what I was looking for. I was torn between two styles and she came up with the perfect solution of adding a skirt on to the fitted dress that I could take off so I could have both looks! She also made the recommendation to add buttons in the back to give it an extra pop. Additionally I used Luciane, the seamstress downstairs which was super convenient and she was phenomenal! She knew exactly the changes I should and shouldn’t make and when she was done, my dress fit absolutely perfectly! I highly recommend going to Allegria to find your wedding gown!

Helped me find (and tailor!) the perfect dress

This was the third salon I went to and it was by far the best in terms of the style of dresses. It's not enormous, but the dresses they carry are gorgeous and I found the most incredible wedding gown here. I got my dress tailored here, by Ling, and she was so incredibly skillful and professional. My dress is beaded all the way down, and it could have been a disaster to tailor, but she did it and I couldn't be more happy. Both Ling in tailoring and the ladies in the shop were responsive and easy to contact (including during the pandemic lockdown this spring).

Phenomenal Service

My experience with Allegria bridal far exceeded my expectations. The service I received specifically from Julie was extraordinary. Julie helped me find my dress which was a stunning simple fit and flare style with no embellishments. I really wanted to add a touch of lace to my dress perhaps by adding a lace topper. Julie started looking for lace overlays that might work. I found a similar dress online from the same dress designer with a long lace overlay that looked amazing. I didn’t really want the full length overly because it would have been overwhelming on my frame. I sent the image to Julie to see if she thought that the designer would make a topper version. The designer wanted so much money to make the topper that it didn’t make sense to move forward. Julie wanted to help me make this vision come true so she reached out to the dress designer every week for over a month requesting to purchase the lace to make a delicate lace topper for my dress locally. The designer didn't want to sell me the lace but Julie was so persistent that the designer eventually agreed. Luciane of Boston took the image of the designer dress with the lace overlay and used the lace to make me an identical topper. The topper looked amazing! I am so grateful to Julie for going to bat for me and my vision.

A Pleasure!

I have lived in Belmont for the past 25 years I walked by Allegria Bridal almost every day admiring the beautiful dresses displayed in the windows. After browsing in other stores that had nothing appropriate for me as an older bride, I made an appointment at Allegria. Barb who helped me that day was gracious and lovely. She knew just what I wanted. She led me to the perfect dress that was beautiful and elegant. She has an eye for style and knew what would fit me well. I am so amazingly pleased by my dress and experiences at Allegria. Luciane the seamstress that altered my dress was wonderful, warm and talented. She made me an exquisite shawl out of my excess fabric. My only problem now is how to alter my beautiful dress so I can continue to wear it!

Easy experience

Our consultant was friendly and very helpful! All my bridesmaids found dresses that they were comfortable in, and that matched enough to create a cohesive look! We even found a similar knee-length dress for the junior bridesmaid. Overall great experience!

Beautiful dress, great service

We really enjoyed our experience at Allegria. The dress was unlike anything we saw at other bridal shops. Erica was very helpful as I tried on different options. We did the tailoring downstairs and while it was a little pricier than expected, they did a fabulous job.

I found my dress, veil, belt, and hair piece at Allegria Bridal and can't say enough good things! This was the first place I tried on dresses and the last place! Erica picked out awesome dresses for me to try on, and after about 5, I found the dress! The process was so easy! I also can't say enough good things about Luciane, the seamstress! She fit my dress exactly to me and made sure everything was perfect, and guess what, on the wedding day, it was! The dress fit me like a glove and I felt absolutely beautiful in it. I got my wedding dress from Allegria Bridal and to say that it was perfect is an understatement. Allegria was my fifth, yes FIFTH salon that I visited and I had tried on about 20 dresses already. I knew I wouldn't be easy for me but I definitely thought I would have my dress picked faster than that! Anyway, I was about to go to some shops in New York when I decided I would try just one more place in MA - Allegria. I found my dress there and it was absolute perfection (Eve of Milady Style 1564). I made a few alterations (Ivory, no beading, added lining), and it was great. It came in a month early and they were so professional - keeping me updated the whole time. I also got my accessories at Allegria and my bridal sash was truly one of a kind - it felt like it was just made for my dress. Next, I went to alterations. The seamstress in their alterations department (the shop literally below them) is AMAZING. That's where the magic all happened - Fumi fit the dress to me perfectly, and we added off the shoulder sleeves that were detachable that I absolutely loved. In the end, my dress was everything I could have ever hoped for and more. I'm just sad I only get to wear it once!

Allegria was right down the street from my first apartment with my husband and the dresses always looked so pretty in the window. When it was time to look at dresses, I knew I wanted to look at Judd Waddell's collection as I absolutely wanted a lace wedding dress. Lo and behold, Allegria was having a Jude Waddell Trunk Sale and I scheduled a weekend of dress shopping around it. Only my mother and future M-I-L could be there for this appointment as the rest of the bridal party were on their way into town to go shopping the next day.

I worked with Barbara (she's incredible!) and I probably tried on 5 or 6 different dresses on with varying degrees of success (as a fuller girl, I was getting more and more discouraged and self conscious slipping into the tiny (to me) dresses. When the appointment starting heading south, Barbara went out of her way to make me feel better and we focused on putting me in a dress that would pick up my spirits. Eventually we found my dress all because of Barbara! I also want to highlight that the weekend I went shopping was super busy for Allegria, given the Trunk Sale. But they found time to squeeze me in for 30 minutes the next day so that my bridesmaids could come in and see me in the dress before I made my final decision (they drove all that way, I couldn't have it be for nothing!). Judd was there the day I purchased the dress and he made a drawing of the dress for me and signed it. I have it in my wedding scrapbook.

I also purchased my bridesmaids dresses from Allegria as I received a discount given I had purchased my dress there. All my girls were far away and Allegria was great with ordering and shipping to each.

I can't recommend Allegria enough and if you can request Barbara, please do!

Allegria was great - the whole wedding dress shopping process was overwhelming for me and not something I wanted to do. I just felt like every dress looked the same. When I did find the dress at Allegria, it was part exhaustion from not wanting to put on one more dress and part love. When I got home and looked at my pictures I actually completely regretted the dress purchase! Of course, Allegria, having dealt with their fair share of crazy brides (I'm sure!) calmed me down immediately. They told me we could tailor everything about the dress to meet my dream vision. So tailor we did! They were so patient and professional throughout the alterations - these were conveniently on site which was also great.

I purchased my dress from Allegria last Nov (2016) for my June wedding and was over the moon with the experience. I had fallen in love with the gowns from Flora, however it was outside of my price point. Lucky for me, there was the perfect dress for me in the Sample Sale section. It was the first dress I tried on and it was perfect - and magically in my range since it was a sample sale dress! Barb was wonderful at making it such a fun experience for myself and my family (My Mom, Grandmother and 2 sisters). Since it was quiet, they even allowed us to just have some time to enjoy each other's company downstairs in the bridesmaids section afterwards uninterrupted since none of us live near each other. Once I purchased the dress, she took several pictures which are now wonderful keepsakes. Thanks so much!!

I recently bought my dress at Allegria and I had a fantastic experience. I had just come from another shop where the consultant was completely missing the mark and didn't seem to listen to what I wanted in a dress. It was so refreshing to step into Allegria after that experience. They let me tour the shop and pull my first 5 dresses to try on. From there, my consultant was able to use what I liked and didn't like from those dresses to find my perfect one.

Erica was my consultant and she was terrific. I admittedly was not very good at putting into words what I was looking for but she somehow was able to know exactly what I wanted. The dress I purchased was actually a dress that she chose for me based on what I liked/didn't like about other dresses. I probably would not have tried it on without her suggestion. Also it was very nice that she strategically gave my group and I privacy when we needed it without being awkward. She made the whole process very simple and turned something I was dreading into something that wasn't a big deal.

I totally recommend this shop and Erica!

I bought my wedding gown and bridesmaids dresses at Allegria Bridal. My experience with them was great from start to finish. They have a beautiful selection of gowns and are highly professional and organized. In addition, they have a spacious shop and you truly get that bridal experience when trying on dresses. Their tailors really know their stuff as well. I never had one worry when it came to my gown and the bridesmaids dresses. I have friends who've had similar experiences with Allegria as well. Buying my dress at Allegria was an amazing experience from before I even walked in the door, through my wedding day. I knew I wanted the Judd Waddell Grace gown, and they no longer carried the sample in store- so they called New York and had it shipped in. My dad was sick with cancer when .I purchased my dress and actually landed in the ER that same morning, so they let us take photos and video so he could have some part in the day- this mean so much to us. After my father passed, it was time to get my alterations done- and they sewed a piece of my dad's handkerchief in a heart into my gown. It was very hard planning a wedding and knowing my dad would not be there- but Allegria helped us make it as special as possible. Thank you!

My experience with Allegria was flawless from start to finish! I worked with Kate to pick out my dress as well as my bridesmaid dresses. She's so lovely and makes you feel at ease. I went during the Judd Waddell trunk show and Judd himself actually picked out my dress for me-it was perfect! I also got my dress altered by Fumi and can't say enough amazing things about her. She is friendly, kind and very talented. I only needed two fittings before the wedding and my dress fit beautifully thanks to her eye for detail and perfectionism. I would recommend Allegria as a one stop shop for everything you need!

Due to my great experience finding my own attire, we got the bridesmaids dresses at Allegria as well. The entire experience was professional, knowledgable, honest, and friendly. I found my wedding dress at Allegria for my wedding this past September and could not be happier. They have a great selection of gowns and a wide range of prices. They have something for everyone and I found them to have a better selection of gowns than the shops in Boston!

Allegria Bridal was the most incredible experience. I wish that I had gone there first and I would have had much less stress.

Their staff is incredible = they give you a tour of the store and then let you be to take a look at the inventory without being too hands on. They pull your first dresses and then make recommendations as you go if there is a dress that might fit your profile.

They are the first store to truly listen and not pull dresses that were completely opposite of what I was looking for. Also, my family is in AZ and AUS. The store has a webcam that family can log onto and participate in your shopping experience virtually.

I cannot say enough about them!

Allegia Bridal was awesome. I bought both my gown and veil there with their sales associate Kate Jenkins, and also had my alterations done there by the amazing Renee. After searching and searching for a gown (I was totally one of those girls who tried on 50 dresses and went to every salon in the Boston area) I walked in and found my dress at Allegria right away. Being a bigger girl, some of the salons made me feel uncomfortable when samples wouldn't totally zip, but the girls here made me feel beautiful from the moment we said hello. I cannot recommend them highly enough -- the selection is the best I have found, and the service is warm and makes this somewhat nerve-wracking shopping trip really fun and enjoyable!

I visited a number of bridal shops in August, two of which were on Newbury Street and Allegria was by far the best! The experience was well tailored to my needs. They have a great selection of dresses for all budgets and the place is lovely and comfortable for you and your entourage.

I would also highly recommend asking for Julie. She was exceptional at her job! She seemed to know me and my style before I walked in the door. She clipped those dresses on with such finesse, making it possible to see the potential of each. When I walked in she asked me to pick out 5 dresses with my bridesmaids. We could only find 4 so she pulled one she thought I would like. This dress turned out to be perfect! I surprised myself with a little emotion when I saw myself wearing it. In the weeks that followed she updated me on sales, but was never pushy making it more comfortable for me to make that final decision.

I think the secret to their tailored approach is the questionnaire they have you fill out ahead of time. Take it seriously when you fill it out because it really helps them find you the dress you are looking for.

I had the most wonderful experience at Allegria. What an amazing staff!!! First, Barbara was just wonderful and helped me find the perfect gown and accessories. Not only did she make me feel comfortable, but I felt like I was shopping with a friend. I love the wedding dress she helped me find and she really made me feel special! I also bought my 4 bridesmaid dresses there as well. Both times the staff at Allegria made it so easy to find what I needed and were so helpful. Down in alterations Rene was unbelievable as well! She really listened to me and helped me with deciding on bustles, ribbons, etc and worked absolute magic on alterations. I would highly recommend visiting this store and purchasing your gown here. I loved everything about Allegria Bridal! I wanted to try on fabulous Jenny Packham gowns knowing FULL well that Jenny Packham gowns would not be fabulous on me. But I loved them - even though I knew I would end up in a different designer, I just did not want to regret not even trying them. I went to two other boutiques and my JP request was met with varying shades of annoyed. At Allegria Bridal, the saleswoman did not even bat an eyelash. Rather she brought me a steady stream of Jenny Packhams until I asked her to show me some other designers. She pulled a Lazaro gown and it was so incredibly stunning and perfect and I knew I'd found my gown. I was thankful that she let me "do my thing" first and then used her own knowledge and instinct to find something along the same lines that worked perfectly on me. It was a great experience and just SO much more pleasant than the other boutiques I visited.

I also got my alterations done downstairs. Renee did an absolutely flawless job - my dress was perfect! I was completely clueless about the process when I arrived for my first fitting, but she walked me through each step and explained my options clearly. In addition to tailoring the dress to fit me perfectly, she was able to make some alterations to make the wedding day more comfortable and easier (for example, sewing my bra right into the dress, and adding an extra row of hooks inside so I could adjust the dress that day).

Thrilled to have found Allegria and would absolutely recommend them to any bride looking for her perfect dress.

Great customer service from start to finish. The day of my first appointment coincided with a Lazaro trunk show, enabling me to try on a variety of styles, and subsequently finding the perfect dress!

The sales associate I worked with was very patient while working with me throughout, and was not pushy at all. The dress was actually ready over a month earlier than its expected arrival date; the dress was thoroughly inspected by their staff and was in perfect condition. They also couriered my dress over to the seamstress ASAP for alterations.

They may have a limited selection of dresses, but what they have available is very high quality from high-end designers. Would highly recommend any bride to shop here if looking for higher-end dresses.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Allegria Bridal! My Mom and I had a not so great experience at another bridal shop so we didn't know what to expect since this is our first experience shopping for wedding dresses. My coworker recommend Allegria and I am so glad that she did! My consultant, Julie, was amazing! She listened to me and what I was looking for, which I did not get at the first shop I went to. We started out with me pulling four dresses. I tried on three of them but then she said she knew the perfect dress for me and she was right! I ended up buying the dress she picked out for me. I went to Allegria Bridal specifically looking for Lazaro dresses. My consultant was great! it was the first shop we went to and I ended up purchasing my dress that day! When my husband and I got engaged last December the first and only appointment I made to try on wedding dresses was at Allegria - I had 2 other friends get their dresses there and they both looked GORGEOUS on their wedding day! My bridal consultant was Julie, she was super friendly, listened to my wishes and brought me exactly what I asked for. I knew I wanted to wear lace the day of my wedding but I thought I was going to end up in a mermaid style gown. While the fitted dresses I tried on were beautiful, they didn't really make me feel like a BRIDE. Julie suggested a ball-gown style Judd Waddell that was both lace and tulle. The moment I tried it on, I knew it was my dress - it was the dress that you dream of as a little girl!
Also, I cannot say enough AMAZING things about Fumi in the alterations department. She is by the far the most adorable person on the planet - she has so much energy and is like the fairy godmother of alterations. On my second fitting I had a small melt-down when the vail I purchased was inside out; when I explained it to Fumi she just helped me fix it right up like no big deal. She definitely has dealt with a lot of frazzled brides and knows just what to do to calm your nerves. Overall, my entire experience at Allegria was fantastic and I will continue to send friends there for their special day!!

I found my 8 bridesmaid dresses here and it was a blast. They have so many to choose from, my bridesmaids were in dress heaven. My experience with Allegria Bridal was absolutely great -- I went during an Augusta Jones trunk show and the woman who helped me was fabulous. I tried on about 15 dresses and found my dress! The salon was set up great and was very clean; I felt really comfortable in both the fitting rooms and outside in the salon. I purchased my wedding gown from Allegria Bridal last summer. The staff was incredibly helpful and strictly showed me gowns within my price range. They were attentive, helpful, and positive - I could not have asked for a more relaxed bridal gown shopping experience! I actually received my gown earlier than expected. The boutique rushed-ordered many of the gowns due to Hurricane Sandy and wanted to ensure that they would be ready in-time for proper fittings. I was impressed with their proactive approach and appreciated the concern that they had for their brides.

I purchased a sample from Allegria. Barbara was my consultant. When I walked in I was disappointed there were not more samples to pick from, but you really only need that one dress in the end. She was very helpful and professional, their prices are reasonable, and the samples were overall in very good condition. I didn't want to tease myself with looking at the rest of their inventory since I had neither the time nor money, however, from what I saw, it looked good. I would definitely recommend.

I bought my dress here and had it altered in their alterations department. I went to a trunk show which was a treat because I got a discount on the dress and met the designer who did a sketch of me in the dress which I got to take home! Barbara was very friendly and attentive in listening to what I was looking for and hearing about THE dress that I was hoping to try on and also helped me find some similar looks. She was as excited as my mom, sister and I when THE dress turned out to be THE dress! After my appointment, she was kind enough to forward the pictures that they took of me in the dress onto me via an email with "confidential!" in the subject line! When the time came to schedule my fitting, I contacted them as I wasn't sure if they would be getting in touch with me or vice versa, so I'm not sure if they would have reached out if I hadn't, but they replied promptly letting me know that I did indeed need to schedule my fitting soon. Fumi and her staff in the alterations department were phenomenal and her attention to detail was impeccable. When I had my first fitting we noticed something unusual with the neckline of the dress and after the fact, I emailed her and asked about it. She looked into it and found that though the dress was cut correctly, it had been sewn in a way that made it fall incorrectly and she scheduled a time for me to come back in before the other alterations had been made so I could rest easy knowing the neckline had been fixed. She did this at no additional charge and explained the situation thoroughly and expressed such an interest in making sure that I felt confident and beautiful on my wedding day. I would recommend Allegria to brides from the area! The whole experience was great.

I live a couple blocks away from Allegria Bridal so when I became engaged and started thinking about what type of dress Id want to wear, I just popped in without an appointment, and they took me without question. I gave them my budget, they pulled a number of dresses with my style in mind, and let me go through the racks as well. I tried on an Augusta Jones strapless dress and fell immediately in love! Of course I was slightly anxious about wanting to buy the very first dress I had tried on so I left, went to two other bridal shops, and within two days I made an appointment to go back with my mom, and as soon as my mom saw the Augusta Jones dress on me, she teared up and said "thats the one!" we ordered it that day, and it came in a couple weeks prior to the date they initially estimated. I tried it on, it fit almost perfectly - minus the long length of course. Every sales girl that works at Allegria is beyond sweet, and extremely curtious and helpful! Ive been telling everyone I know to go there for their wedding dress, or bridesmaid dresses - which our three bridesmaids dresses were also purchased there and were absolutely stunning in their Amsale dresses!

Allegria Bridal was wonderful! The showroom is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and there is a great selection of designer dresses.

I found the dress of my dreams by Judd Waddell, and accessories by Haute Bride.

I went in July of 2011, and they were having a store sale, so it made the price a little bit more bearable.
Allegria also has sample sales, and trunk shows.

I found a gorgeous dress and received very honest and helpful advice along the way. The entire team at Allegria Bridal were so helpful and great to work with while choosing my wedding dress. They recently renovated their salon and it is beautiful inside and very accomodating for trying on with a few people joining to help! From the second I bought the dress to the day I took it home I had such a GREAT experience. I absolutely LOVED (still love) my dress.
Barbara was the name of the woman in the shop who helped me and suggested different accessories when I first went in. I went with all of her recommendations and I am so glad I did! Alterations was amazing YUMI was so cute and so happy all the time. She created this crystal detail on the back of my dress which just added a touch of sparkle to the back....it came out perfectly.

Barbara and Tracey were a delight to work with - and, given our relatively unique situation, they made us feel utterly welcome and comfortable. Both pay close attention to a bride's tastes, her shape, and her general style -- as well as the details of the ceremony -- and as a result, one ends up with a real consulting experience instead of just being herded through a dress warehouse towards a sale, which given the cost of gowns, is much appreciated. Allegria has a great sample selection, (which I almost selected from), and a well-selected array of designers and gown styles. I had my eye on a Spanish designer that they did not carry, and the staff went so far as to coordinate with the sales rep to have several samples shipped in for me to try one - at no cost. Fumi, too did beautiful work on both our gowns, and was a scream to work with! All around, a fantastic experience -- I almost wish I could get married again (to the same person of course) just to go try on more gowns there!

I loved the owners, two sisters, at Allegria. In the end I worked with both Barbara and Tracy and they are both incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, but still down to earth. They had better prices on the same dresses that I looked at in a salon in DC, and on top of that, I was able to get a 10% discount on my dress because of a discount they had running for that designer for all of May. They also have a large collection of bridesmaid dresses which you get a discount on if you buy your dress there. And I loved, loved, loved Fumi, the tailor. She was not only incredibly skilled, she's so friendly! Definitely check them out!

I loved this shop! I worked with the two owners (they are sisters) and they were so helpful! They were respectful of our budget and if a dress was pulled that was no within it, they made sure I knew and was ok trying it on. One of them pulled a dress that I thought was ugly on the hanger but they told me to trust them and try it on I fell in love instantly! My dress came in a few weeks early and they gave me a great recommendation for an alteration shop since I couldn't do normal buisness hours.

I chose the designer Anne Barge. The staff was very nice to notify me when her trunk show was to take place. (to those who don't know...at the trunk show designers offer good discounts on their new designs). When my dress came in I was promptly given a call, my dress came in 3 weeks early. THe dress came out fantastic but the edge of the veil was unfinished. The dress shop sent back the veil and had it back quickly. The staff was always so easy to talk to and work with. I think I tried on 10 dresses....never once was there a sigh or a sign I was being a pain. They have a great professional manner. I only wish they had a seamstress.

I went to four other bridal shops before visiting Allegria Bridal in Belmont and I was getting worried that I wouldn't find my wedding dress. I was looking for a different type of neckline (NOT strapless) and couldn't seem to find that "special" dress. I made an appointment early on Friday (my mom and I had the day off) and the shop was busy, but I did not feel rushed or pressured to make a decision. Barbara (I believe this was her name) was my consultant and I felt she was genuine, honest and supportive. She gave me her opinion when I asked for it and showed me different options that reflecting my list of wants. The shop is on the smaller size but I liked the non-warehouse feel of the store. I felt they had a variety of sizes and prices that fit my budget. When I went, it was a Judd Waddell trunk show, and I selected one of his dresses. He was there that day and drew a sketch of me in the dress, which is something I'll always treasure. Since it was a trunk show, I also got a slight discount on the dress and complimentary hair flower pins, which I did use and they looked so pretty instead of a traditional veil. Allegria was great about emailing with me and responding to my calls, but it did depend on which consultant I spoke to. Some women did not seem as knowledgable or as pleasant as Barb and Kate, who I spoke to the most. I also got my bridesmaid dresses here and while there wasn't a huge selection, the prices were reasonable and my bridesmaids got 15% off because I bought my wedding dress here. Overall, I would definitely recommend Allegria Bridal to a bride looking for a intimate, personal wedding dress shopping experience.

I did my alterations somewhere else because Allegria's in-house tailor was on vacation. I had a very good experience with Alterations by Hranoosh in Watertown, as well.

I found all of the women in this shop delightful and they never hard pressed a sale -- they wanted me to find the best dress for me in a budget I could afford and they made me feel like my time and my wedding were most important.

I had a great experience with Allegria. In fact, I tried on dresses at a few places beforehand, and one of the factors in my decision to buy a dress at Allegria was that I preferred to work with the women there than at some of the other stores. I felt truly comfortable there, and that they would make sure I was completely happy. They were very responsive to any time I wanted to come in to try on the dress, veils, accessories, etc., even if they knew I wasn't buying something at that time.

The only downside, and it wasn't really them, but the tailor they recommended, Rosa. While she did a great job and I can't complain at all about the quality of her work, she overcharged us by being noncommittal at the start and then continuing to add on fees as the time went on, for things as silly as an extra $40 for 1 yard of sash cloth that clearly didn't cost that much, when we had already paid her $600 (more than we had initially estimated by quite a bit). I wish we had set out a price and put it in writing the first day, since when she was already doing the dress we had no way to tell her we wouldn't pay what she said!

The ladies at Allegria Bridal were great. I had a very hard time finding my dress, and they were so patient and helpful on each of my three visits to look for dresses. I finally bought a James Clifford at a trunk show, and they were helpful with suggestions on what to change/not change and the color. They were very patient and nice when I had a minor freak-out about the color I ordered (blush) - but they were right, it was the perfect complement to my skin and didn't look pink at all! And then they spent almost an hour with me to select the right veil and jewelry. They have beautiful dresses, a little on the pricey side, but the service was great - such nice women, not at all snotty like you can sometimes find. A great experience!

The women at Allegria bridal were very helpful and welcoming. I arrived knowing which dress I wanted to try on and the staff was very helpful in finding the dress as well as a few others that were similar. After a mix up in the labeling of the dress and the wrong color being ordered, Allegria made sure to get the correct dress in a enough time for alterations, etc.

I bought a beautiful Jenny Packham gown from Allegria and had my alterations done here as well. They were extremely responsive and helpful as I decided which gown was right for me. The alterations department did an incredible job. I would absolutely recommend this store!

i bought my wedding dress from allegria in may of 2014 and the service that i received was phenomenal from the moment that i walked into my first appointment! i fell in love with the lazaro 3201 gown the first time i saw it online and just had to try it on, so i tracked it down at two bridal salons in the boston area. the first salon i went to was l'elite and they actually didnt have the dress in stock like i was told on the phone, so i called allegria and set up an appointment with them. i got there and fell even more in love with the dress and couldnt wait to try it on! once i had it on i just knew it was the one! since i was already there and they had soooo many other gorgeous gowns; i decided to try a few more on. i had my mother, aunt and maid of honor there with me this day and each time i came out in another dress they all said they liked the first one best. it truly was the dress of my dreams and even three months after my wedding, i still do no regret my choice one bit! after purchasing my dress we headed downstairs to look at mother of the bride, bridesmaids and flower girls dresses. my mother found her dress almost immediately! and the bridesmaids dresses that we chose were beyond beautiful! they were long, strapless amsale dresses in a very light blush pink color. we also decided on the flower girls dresses this day as well! they were satin, ivory teacup length dresses with a blush pink sash.
the service and professionalism that we received from kate and the rest of the staff at allegria was amazing! kate was beyond helpful and very quick to answer any and all of my questions and she responded to my emails just as quickly.
allegria has a very wide range of wedding gowns, mother of the bride/groom dresses, bridesmaids and flower girl dresses and it was more than convenient to be able to get all of our dresses at the same location! i would definitely recommend allegria to anyone in the boston area looking for their dream wedding gown!

My wedding dress was even more beautiful then I dreamed it would be! Renee, in alterations was so patient and put all my fears to rest! I was nervous about trying on dresses, thinking that I wouldn't find something to fit my body type but I was treated like a queen. Would recommend Allegria Bridal to all my friend.

dresses are a little bit on the expensive side, but they were amazing. they made the dress buying experience fun and were very helpful. they will e mail you pictures of you in the dress (awesome) and they shipped my accessories to me as i was out of state!

This boutique is so great! It is small, but they carry gorgeous and modern dresses of all price ranges. I was going away for the weekend of a sample sale and asked them to call me if the dress I wanted hadn't sold. They called and I was there as soon as I got back and walked out with my dream dress! The tailoring was very affordable and the staff was so friendly and professional. I dreaded this part of the wedding process the most, but they made it so incredibly stress-free and simple. This boutique is just great.

I purchased both my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses at Allegria and was so impressed with the level of service. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and will make you feel right at home. The alterations seamstress is also incredible and works magic to make your dress fit perfectly. They were very attentive and helpful when my dress designer sent the wrong style of my dress and everything was resolved quickly and professionally. I highly recommend Allegria!

They were great.
I found the dress I wanted in the first 3 I tried on (as I recall) and it was probably the fifth place I had gone.
If your style is classic, elegant I think you will find something you like.
Also had a good selection of flower girl dresses, although I ended up making my own.

I had the pleasure of finding my perfect wedding gown at Allegria Bridal, which was recommended to me by several friends and co-workers who had also found their gowns at Allegria. At the initial shopping visit, they were warm and welcoming, and treated me with the utmost respect the entire appointment. The store clerk was incredibly helpful in helping me to find a gown that matched my vision. In addition to being knowledgeable about their gowns they sold, the women at Allegria are also very low-pressure in terms of finding a gown within my price range. I am lucky to say that Allegria was the first and only store I looked at for wedding gowns, and also used them for ordering bridesmaids dresses as well as wedding jewelry. I would 100% recommend their store to future brides in search of their perfect gown!

The staff at Allegria Bridal were very helpful when choosing my wedding dress. I went there with my eye on a specific designers dress and they were very accommodating to my requests. They were not pushy about trying other designers or dresses like some other salons I had been to but they understood my love of this dress and how set I was.

I also live out of state but am getting married in Boston, so they were very understanding that it would take me some time coordinating when I could actually pick up the dress.

They also work with a very reputable seamstress who is just down the road, which makes things easy.

When looking for wedding dresses, I thought I had an idea of what I wanted to wear. When arriving at Allegria, I told my consultant what I thought that was and she immediately pulled some dresses in that style, but also pulled many different styles. I tried all the samples on that she pulled, not very excited about some of the ones she had decided on. One of them was a strapless (which I did not want), lace dress (which I did want) with sparkle (which I definitely didn't want). As soon as I came out of the fitting room, seeing the faces of my family, I knew that it was the one. The consultant was extremely open to what I wanted but also infused her own knowledge of what looks good on my shape, coloring and style. Although it was slightly more than my budget for my dress, they happen to have had an upcoming trunk show of that designer which allowed me to afford it.

Fumi did a FANTASTIC job tailoring my wedding dress. I picked up my dress for a song at the Running of the Brides and it fit perfectly - 8 months ago! But a New Year's Resolution meant my dress needed to be taken in. My dress had all sorts of beautiful beading and detail work and Fumi handled it like a pro. Plus she was very knowledgeable and made me feel like my gorgeous couture was in good hands :)
Our wedding was just a few days ago and everyone thought the dress looked like it had been made for me.

The staff at Allegria Bridal was wonderful. Very friendly and patient, and managed to get my dress without a rush fee even though it was pretty close to the wedding date. It was ready exactly when they said it would be, and their in house seamstress was FABULOUS and one of the nicest people I've ever met. Pricey, but I thought it was worth it.

I bought my dress at Allegria last July and it was the best experience! I worked with Kate and she was great: very knowledgeable and a great help finding dresses in my price point! She also helped me pick out bridesmaids dresses as well. The ones I originally wanted were out of our price range but the ones she suggested that were similar were so much better and my bridesmaids looked fantastic! The salon has tons of great dresses and a friendly team to work with!

I visited a number of bridal shops in the Boston area before finally purchasing my dress at Allegria. My experience there was great. The staff was really helpful and clearly understood what I wanted and was able to show me a large number of dresses, as well as suggest changes that could be made to some of the gowns to create the look I wanted. They were patient with me and gave me lots of space and never pressured me to buy anything, which I greatly appreciated.

The dress that I ended up purchasing came with a keyhole back which I did not like, so they arranged for the designer to make the dress with a v in the back instead. However, they didn't warn me that by making this change, I would not really have any back to the dress and there would be no support for my chest as a result (I am big chested and needed to wear a bra with the dress). We ended up spending a lot of money on alterations to have support built into the dress. And while it turned out beautiful in the end, I would have appreciated a warning from them that the changes I made to the dress were going to impact the way it would fit me. I might have made a different decision had I known this ahead of time.

I found my wedding gown and Allegria Bridal and I couldn't be happier with my choice! The consultant that helped me during my appointment was very nice and patient as i struggled with the wedding gown shopping for the first time. The staff at the salon made me feel like top priority and I never felt rushed or pushed into buying above my desired budget. I'm so glad I found Allegria Bridal! What a great experience - would definitely recommend!

I found my wedding dress on my very first day of looking at Allegria Bridal. I had set my expectations very low - my goal was to just go try on some styles and get a better sense of what I liked and didn't like. I went to David's Bridal first and tried on almost 50 dresses. I was exhausted, and felt like the staff there just didn't know what I was looking for, and just didn't have what I wanted.

But then I went to Allegria Bridal, and WOW! The service and selection was absolutely incredible - the staff here really listened to me and help me find the PERFECT wedding dress! Which is amazing - because I didn't even know what I was looking for! I selected a Judd Waddell gown that happened to be in the store as part of a trunk show.

I had such a great experience getting my wedding dress here, that I went back to get my bridesmaids dresses. Even though they were slightly more expensive than other places, I thought the premium was well worth it in terms of peace of mind. I knew that Allegria would get the order in on time, make sure the order was completely correct, and get them to my bridesmaids with plenty of time for alterations.

The seamstress here is also absolutely INCREDIBLE. When I got my wedding dress I thought it was a perfect fit, but she worked some magic and made it fit like a glove! I got so many compliments on my dress and the fit, and I couldn't have been happier!

My Judd Waddell dress from Allegria Bridal was PERFECT. I cannot tell you how many people commented on how beautiful and elegant it was.
My mom, sisters and I had such a nice time at Allegria. The service from Barbara was great, and she was very helpful with advice about what worked for my body. The selection was manageable, and the quality of the dresses is so good that I only tried on about five before I found my perfect silhouette.
The Allegria staff was efficient and helpful, and set me up with Rosa's Alterations in Watertown, which PERFECTED my rather detailed dress to fit me like a glove.
The dress was expensive, but I'm telling you, the quality of the dress was unparalleled and it showed.

We got our bridesmaid dress here! I found them through a friend! I fell in love with a dress online and set up an appointment! my girls tried on lots of dresses but we all agreed on the on we found online! the staff was very knowledgable and helpful! My girls said the dresses were a little pricey but the quality was worth it! the dresses came in early and fit each girl like a glove! Id highly recommend checking them out!

I went to four shops in total in search of the perfect dress and Allegria was by far the best. They listened to my likes and dislikes in terms of dresses I wanted to try on. The service was always friendly and responsive. Their prices are a bit high; but all in all, from beginning to end (from the experience of trying on numerous dresses, finding "the one" and then alterations), the ladies at Allegria made it fun.

I was pleased with the individual attention and suggestions during my dress appointment. The women at Allegria were professional and patient even during a busy Saturday. We also used Allegria for the bridesmaid dresses and they made us feel like old friends when we walked through the door. They made the entire ordering and pick up process very easy.
