I am SO thankful I found Alissa and that she was available on my big day. I found her on Instagram and after stalking all of her photos, I really appreciated her work and how she always posted unfiltered photos. Alissa has such a talent for makeup and after emailing with her, I was so confident in her work that we didn’t have my trial until the day before my wedding! Leading up to the day, I gave her some input on what makeup styles I like / don’t like and showed her some inspo photos. From that, she gave me the exact look I wanted. We tweaked a few things on the big day and I was amazed at how good I looked! I received so many compliments from our guests and my makeup stayed put through the rain, tears, and sweat. As if being a makeup wizard isn’t enough, Alissa also has an amazing personality that myself and all of my bridesmaids commented on. She was easy to talk to and so funny! Also, she is an absolute rock star for doing 7 bridesmaids, a flower girl, and my makeup on the big day. The girl had to start at 6AM and was still full of life when we ended at 2PM!! Alissa – thank you so much for what you created on my wedding day. You made me the most confident version of myself and for that I cannot be more thankful. Thank you for being you!! -

I searched long and hard to find a makeup artist, and Alissa exceeded my expectations. I fully trusted her expertise and vision, and she executed it so so well. Not only is she so skilled and talented, she is also so kind and friendly. She was easy to communicate with throughout the entire process, and I felt like she was my friend from the moment I met her in person. Having her there on my wedding day was everything I could have dreamed of. I had no stress knowing that she was in charge, and she made me feel so calm and pampered. I have actually never felt more beautiful and confident, and it is all thanks to Alissa and my hair stylist. If you’re going to do one thing for your wedding day…..hire someone qualified, and someone you trust to do your makeup. Alissa is that person!! If you hire her you will most definitely not regret it. I would recommend her again and again.

Alissa was such a wonderful artist to work with for so many reasons!! She is fully dedicated to her business and it shows in her professionalism, in her communication and responsiveness & most importantly, in her SKILLS. Alissa was my dream MUA, especially as a girlie who doesn’t know much about glam. She made sure to ask all the important questions, and helped my vision come to life. We did a trial and I was SO pleased with the results, but had a few tweaks to make day of - she knocked the ball out of the park. SHE IS SO 👏🏼 DANG 👏🏼 GOOD.
She’s amazing at bridal makeup, but also gives time and attention to bridesmaids, moms, grandmas and more. Everyone felt so beautiful and confident on my wedding day. -

Beautiful job with my bridesmaids!
Alissa is a trooper! After experiencing a flat tire on her way to us during her 2hr-drive, she arrived relatively on-time ready to start working right away! All of my girls enjoyed their time with her and looked absolutely stunning! We had a variety of skin-tones and textures, and she nailed every look. 10/10 recommend -

I feel so grateful to have had Alissa as the makeup artist for my wedding day! She was so easy to talk with and made me look and feel my absolute best. She is so attentive to detail, even making subtle changes on the day-of to improve the final look! Not only was I thrilled with my makeup, but it didn’t budge all night. Even after we ran around in the pouring rain for over an hour on our wedding day, my makeup still looked incredible at the end of the night. I really can’t recommend Alissa enough! -

Alissa turned me into the most confident gorgeous version of myself! She not only takes the time to ask questions and do a full consultation, but she also continues to check in throughout the process to make sure you’re comfortable and feeling pampered. One of my favorite features of myself are my freckles across the bridge of my nose, so when I told her that, she immediately agreed and helped to make sure they showed through the foundation so I could still have my favorite features shining through. I was nervous to have my makeup professionally done because I hadn’t ever had it done before, but she turned me into the most confident version of myself. I loved how I looked and the makeup lasted through SO MANY tears of happiness during the ceremony - super impressive! She does a great job keeping it natural and minimal for those who want it (like my mom and MIL) and does a fantastic job glamming it up for people who want it (like me). Not only is she an incredible makeup artist, but she’s also an incredible person who is full of kindness and enjoys personally connecting with her clients! Getting my makeup done was one of my favorite parts of my wedding day because I had a second to breathe, get pampered, and felt like I was catching up with an old friend of mine - highly recommend Alissa! -

Alissa is AMAZING! I am not a makeup girl whatsoever and my knowledge of what is right and wrong is almost nonexistent so when I found Alissa I was relieved! At my trial, we walked through what I wanted, but she gave me suggestions and advice where needed which I appreciated. I left the trial loving my makeup, but on the day of the wedding we both could tell we needed to glam it up and Alissa KILLED IT!!! I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day and Alissa was a huge part of that. She never once pushed me to do something I didn't want to do but encouraged me in the best way possible. She was meticulous in her work, clean and sanitary, and such a fun person to be around. If you are looking for a makeup artist that you can trust, takes their time, and goes the extra mile, then you need Alissa in your life! -

Alissa was amazing and phenomenal to work with. She is so sweet and kind. I couldn't be happier with the decision to work with her. My makeup - along with the makeup for my sister, sister-in-law, mother, and mother-in-law - was perfect and flawless (and stayed that way all day). I can't thank Alissa enough. We were blown away by how our makeup looked - I find myself a little speechless as I look back at our wedding photos. I can't recommend Alissa enough. -

Alissa did makeup for my December 2022 wedding in Lexington, Virginia. She was an absolute joy to work with! I was so nervous to get makeup professionally done, but she made it so fun and kept me posted on what she was doing along the way. She was also so patient with family members that had never gotten their makeup professionally done before. We had the best time getting wedding ready with Alissa- she is the best! -

If I could give more stars, I would… Alissa is PERFECTION! I could not have asked for better stylists on my wedding day. Alissa, her second artist (Haley) and her assistant (Noelle) were amazing. So friendly and awesome at what they do. They were so great at making sure everyone got exactly what they asked for, were comfortable, but also gave us their professional inputs in a respectable way when we had questions or concerns (which I 100% appreciate considering I know NOTHING about makeup). Not only did they do a beautiful job, but they also knocked out 11 girls makeup within a 5 hour time span with time to spare. They absolutely KILLED IT. Alissa did my full face as the bride from start to finish and she is the best artist to have in your corner on the most important AND stressful day of your life. Her, her artists, and the hair stylists I booked took so much stress off of me on my wedding day and I really can’t thank them enough. KEEP BEING 100% PHENOMENAL GIRLS! LOVE YOU ALISSA! -

Alissa was such a dream to work with. Not only are her skills amazing but she did such an amazing job glamming up me and my three bridesmaids. My makeup looked flawless and stayed perfect all day despite rain, sweat, and a lot of ugly crying during my ceremony! She is not only talented but is so fun to chat with while you sit in her chair. She even kindly applied false lashes for my MIL who decided last minute that she wanted them! Highly recommend Alissa if you want perfect makeup and and fun person to chat with while you’re in her chair for 75-90 mins on your wedding day! -

Alissa is wonderful! Hire her!
I hired Alissa as my makeup artist for my elopement on 10/28/2020. She had great reviews and photos on Wedding Wire/The Knot so I was inclined to connect with her about a trial and wedding booking. From the beginning, Alissa was professional, personable, and organized. She willingly came to my home (wearing a mask!) for a trial and was so kind and supportive in helping me create my wedding look (enhanced natural, timeless look). Her thoughtful questions, confidence, and creativity made me feel very comfortable and respected as a client. Alissa was receptive to all of my feedback and questions and made every effort possible to shape my look to help me look my absolute best! She brought her studio chair and full equipment spread (while wearing a mask!) to the hotel for the day of and was so prepared and professional. I really appreciated her easy going nature and conversational attitude- she was very open to my mom, sisters, and best friend joining us on Zoom and made them feel included too! I was thrilled with my makeup on my wedding day as it lasted for several hours without any smearing, wearing, or loss of fake lashes :) I cannot speak high enough praises for Alissa and her artistry! If you're in the Southwest VA area, you should absolutely hire Alissa! -
