Making the dress of my dreams extra special
Lana was so wonderful to work with! My dress took awhile to arrive, so it only left about a month for the alterations to be complete. Though I was a bit stressed, Lana assured me that it would all turn out just fine - and of course, she was right! Lana hemmed and added a bustle to me dress which was easy to use and worked out great. More importantly, she added in a piece of my mom's wedding dress and my late stepdads' favorite shirt. I wasn't sure how she would be able to combine the green shirt and bit of lace, but the end result was better than I could have imagined. It was so special to carry those two pieces so close to my heart on my big day. Thank you, Lana!

From the moment I walked into Lana’s shop, I felt at ease — even though I was unsure of what to expect from the alterations process. She was so kind, welcoming, and professional every step of the way.
Lana offered her expert input while always checking in to make sure I felt good about every decision. My dress luckily didn’t need many alterations, but Lana still went above and beyond — she created custom sleeves and pocket squares from extra fabric we ordered from the manufacturer, which made everything feel even more personal and special.
One moment that really stood out: at my final fitting, mymom’s dress strap (the one she was wearing that day) broke, and without hesitation, Lana had her seamstress fix it right on the spot. We joked it was the best possible place for a dress to break..
I had such a great experience and truly felt like I was in good hands. If you’re looking for someone who is not only incredibly skilled but also genuinely cares, I 10/10 recommend Lana for all your wedding dress needs!

Sewing Lessons
I took a week of sewing classes with Lana and learned so much! She helped me through some complicated projects and brought so much knowledge and expertise to her teaching. Her atelier was lovely and it was a pleasure to spend four days learning from her. This is a great class for more experienced seamstresses or designers who are looking to expand their skills or work through a difficult project.

Lana was wonderful! She took my direction so well to ensure my dress fit me perfectly and tightly (as desired) on my wedding day. I had a lot of pearls and beading, plus a big train; Lana handled it all with ease, hemmed it, and put in a bustle within a few weeks. My experience was nothing other than great! I took in my wedding dress and got all of the alterations I needed. Lana was so communicative, helpful and I felt confident that everything would get done well. The week before my wedding, I decided I wanted to alter the straps of my dress. I took it in the next day, and it was finished by that evening! It was perfect!

Lana is the real deal! I was lucky enough to not need many alterations done to my wedding dress and Lana provided honest feedback and did not try and sway me into making any unnecessary changes. She added cups and a bustle that was color coded and easy for my mom and bridesmaids to navigate. I had to make a last minute change to my dress pickup and she was able to accommodate with ease. You can definitely trust her with the most special dress you will ever wear!

Dress of my Dreams!
I found and purchased my wedding dress and was so excited! When it came in and I put it on, it was WAY too big. I went with the size the bridal store recommended and was panicked when I put it on. The dress is very intricate and has a lot of boning over the bust and down to the waist. The dress posed a big challenge to a seamstress as it had to be completely taken apart and put back together much smaller in order to fit correctly. I was so nervous after talking to a couple seamstresses that were too scared to try to alter it. Then, I went to Lana Gerimovich at Alis Fashion Design and my prayers were answered! Not only did she assure me she could alter the dress no problem, but when she was done it was as though it was made just for me!!! Lana saved the day and I walked down the aisle in the dress of my dreams.

I had a lovely experience working with Lana at Ali’s Fashion Design. She quickly got in touch with me after I first reached out and worked with me over three appointments. My dress needed to be taken in multiple sizes in the top and was fairly complicated with a lot of layers, lace, and beading. Her skillful work had my dress fitting like a glove by the end! She was very kind and her studio is lovely. I’d definitely recommend for bridal alterations!

Lana was incredible! I brought my dress in and needed a lot of alterations due to losing some weight. She was very quick and knew exactly what I needed. My dress was very detailed with lace and had a lot of beading and layers, but she was able to preserve the beauty of the dress despite having to make a lot of alterations to length and width. I brought my dress in at the end of October for my January 15th wedding and I was able to pick it up just before the New Year! I recommend this shop for any alteration needs to designer gowns or wedding dresses.

You are amazing ! My custom dress was order over a year before my dress from another designer when it came in it was way to big and the bust was all wonky. Lana helped me figure things out and she helped me make a video to sent to the designer so that they could fix everything. When the dress came back we needed to make just a couple changes and Lana you did it my dress fit like a glove and it was perfect! Thank you for everything you did for me you are an angel!!! Saved my dress!!
I had gone to get my dress altered by someone a friend recommended. She completely ruined my dress, it was a low cut back it was way too big, tight in the shoulders and I was told to just tape it or use glue. I was getting married in Jamaica so that would not work. After I had a meltdown, I found Lana through yelp and read all of the amazing reviews of her saving other dresses! She was so responsive, called me right away and set up an appointment with me the same week. She helped calm me down and was so honest with her. I asked her to please tell me if my dress wouldn’t be able to be saved and she was 100% confident she could. She undid everything the previous seamstress did and pinned it to fit me. She knew exactly what to do and I felt so confident leaving my dress with her. I returned to my appointment and my dress was saved and fit like a glove!! And I didn’t need glue/tape. I wish I would have found Lana from the beginning. I will always recommend her to any brides and will use her for any future alterations!! She is the best of the best!
You can see in the first picture how the original alteration lady left me. It was so tight in the shoulders and gapped horrible on the back. Lana completely fixed it and made it fit like a glove!

I heard that Alis Fashion Design was the place to go and I’m so happy I did. I called and spoke to Lana and she was so attentive yet so laid back in the best way! She did everything I asked and more. They way she handled my wedding dress was with such care. I love even the way she thought to bustle my dress, it keeps it long and showing the details but short enough where I can dance. I picked up my dress from David’s Bridal on 11/26 (after waiting 3 months for alterations) for my wedding on 12/11 and the bust was EXTREMELY tight. Uncomfortably tight and wayyyyyy more cleavage than I wanted for my wedding. David’s Bridal seamstresses had some of the worst customer service of all time, so I called Lana on 12/1. She took me that SAME DAY, and today on 12/2 I picked up my dress and it’s absolutely perfect. Fits exactly how I wanted and only took one day!!!! Lana is amazing; so sweet, so fast, and so talented. Make the right decision the first time around and go with Lana!
I cannot even begin to thank Lana for the help she offered me the week of my wedding. I took my dress to a precious alterations place starting in August, and after 8+ appointments I quickly realized things were starting to go south. After "trusting the process", I went to pick up my dress the week of my wedding to find it was truly botched - horrible craftsmanship, terrible seams, so many issues with the dress. I was panicked and needed a fast solution in what was probably the most stressful week of my life. I messaged Lana and she was able to see me on Tuesday, and completely redo and fix my entire dress in 3 days. I didn't even have the time to be able to go in multiple times as you usually do with a wedding dress but it didn't even matter- it fit like a glove. I cannot thank you enough Lana for helping me out in a really desperate time, I know how stressful it must have been to put this on you in 3 days (in the busiest wedding season ever) but I am so beyond thankful for you and your dedication and expert craftsmanship. Lana is a MIRACLE worker. I originally had my wedding dress altered by someone the shop owner had recommended and it was a nightmare. The woman, Karen made my form fitting dress too short, small in all the wrong places, big in all the wrong places and it looked like I was a walking accordion. When I asked this lady if she could fix it she literally told me there was nothing she could do. This was two days before I was leaving out of town to get married by the way. So, desperate to get a second opinion my mom had come across this shop and reached out to Lana. Not only did Lana respond immediately with compassion she had us come to her within an hour to see what she could do.
As soon as she saw my dress she was able to figure out the problem and explained what she could do to fix it and would have it ready for me the following morning. Lana fixed my butchered wedding dress and made me feel beautiful and confident again to wear it on my wedding day. She is a true angel and if you are getting married I HIGHLY recommend Lana to alter your dress. She's amazing and soooo sweet.

She Saved My Day!
The Sunday before my wedding, I tried on my dress to be sure it fit and... it. wouldn’t. zip. I called Lana on Monday morning. By noon, I was at her home studio dropping off my dress with her. I had thought that adding a corset back was my only option, but she suggested just letting it out instead AND she found a couple of other issues that my first tailor had missed. When I returned on Wednesday (yes, just two days later!) my dress fit like a glove. I am in love with it again instead of it just being a huge stress point. Would highly, highly, highly recommend. Wow wow wow!! Lana is absolutely amazing! Despite all of the closures because of Covid-19 and a month delay in picking my dress up from the bridal shop, Lana was so accommodating in making alterations to my wedding dress. She put my panic on getting everything done in time to ease and did the most beautiful alterations on my very complicated lace wedding dress! I spent an hour with Lana as she walked me through Bridal 101. She was very informative, thoughtful and shared great information about bridal gowns and how to find just the right one to compliment ones shape/look, etc.. There’s so much to consider when choosing a gown—and understanding alterations too. Alterations can be very costly.

She is very reasonably priced, and she is just a super sweet, kind, and good human being. I enjoyed going in for my alterations because I knew I would get to see Lana. HIRE HER! You won't regret it.

My dress was beyond perfect!
Trusting the most special dress of your entire life to someone can be a nerve-racking experience, but not with Alis Fashion Design! My intricate dress needed quite a bit done, posing a challenge to most designers. Ali took my dress with confidence and the result was beyond my wildest dreams! The dress was perfect. Perfection in Alterations
Lana is absolutely amazing at what she does! My dress was an “as is” about 2 sizes too big and Lana was able to make it fit like a glove and look like it was always meant to be that size. She carefully crafted a fantastic bustle for a good sized train so I could dance the night away! If you need your wedding dress, or anything for that matter, you can’t go wrong with Lana. I will be going back for all my alteration needs.

I as nervous looking for a place to alter my wedding dress having heard horror stores from people I knew about their dresses getting ruined or coming back not what they were expecting, etc. While I was nervous, Lana put me at ease from our very first phone call. She was responsive and was able to book me an appointment on the phone right then and there. When I came to see Lana the first time, I appreciated her clean, white, modern and minimalist studio. My sister and MOH came with me and by the end of the appointment, I felt like I could trust Lana completely with my dress. I saw her a few times for my gown, and even added an additional reception dress that she was able to alter and send to get cleaned for me without any hesitancy. Her prices seemed appropriate and I felt they matched her expertise and willingness to bend over backwards for any client. I can't speak enough good things about Lana. I would recommend her to any bride and I am looking forward to bringing her more of my clothes!

I went to Alis Fashion Design for my wedding dress alterations, and loved her so much that she ended up altering my mother's and MOH's dresses as well. I was hesitant at first to go to Alis Fashion design because it was priced on the higher end of our budget, but I am so thrilled we did!! After it had been altered, my strapless dress fit absolutely perfectly - like a glove. She is so friendly and professional, and worth every penny for alterations. I would 100% recommend and go back for alterations in the future.

Lana is amazing! I went in with unreal expectations and she brought me back down to earth and let me know exactly what she could and couldn’t do. I went from hating the dress I bought to dancing in front of the mirror during my last fitting. She also took the time to get to know me and remembered a lot of what we discussed in our short meetings. She’s a wonderful woman!

Lana from Ali’s Fashion is absolutely amazing! I had two wedding dresses that needed a lot of work done with beading, sizing, etc. The prices were definitely reasonable and the job was done flawlessly. I had fun appointments every time and recommend her to anyone! My mom is going in to alter her dress for my wedding as well now :)

I don't even know where to begin to describe how wonderful coming across Lana was. I unfortunately went through what every bride is afraid of - I had taken my dress to a seamstress in Phoenix and ONE week before my wedding I went in for a final fitting and my dress was a mess. The next day, Sunday at 2 AM I found Alis Fashion Design on Yelp and sent her a message. That very morning a few hours later Lana replied saying to stop by her studio that very day. Come Thursday when I went to pick up my dress, my dress was PERFECT!!! I also ended up buying a custom made veil which just completed the look wonderfully. Her prices are very reasonable and fair, the quality of her work is flawless, and she has the loveliest personality - my friends and family that met her could not stop talking about how wonderful she was. I felt beautiful on my special day thanks to you.

Often times we like a few things from different dresses. I like this sleeve, this neckline, this style etc. The dress is so beautiful and more than I could have imagined. I had less than 4 weeks to make alterations to my wedding dress and from the moment I spoke with Lana I felt at ease and knew I was in good hands. She explained exactly what she was going to alter and even advised me on how to make the dress perfect for me.
