With my honeymoon wrapping up, I just wanted to share my experience with Alina! She is a true world class photographer. I want to break down what I loved about working with her into three parts:
1. Her professionalism. When she says she will follow up, she will. When she says she will be somewhere, she will. With Alina there is no last minute wedding day coordinating which is everything as a bride! (Especially for myself since I didn’t have a planner) She also has posing nailed down and moves efficiently especially with large family groups which saved valuable time on the wedding day. She also is INSANELY quick at getting photos back—Saturday engagement gallery was delivered that Tuesday and Saturday wedding gallery was delivered the following Saturday. Unmatched.
2. Her industry experience. She is well connected in the Lynchburg area and was always happy to give advice in other areas of the wedding like where to find a specific type of wedding dress! She also was the best hypewoman when it came to picking out outfits for our engagement shoot!
3. Her work. It speaks for itself. It’s timeless. The right balance of true color and light and airy. She knows the types of poses that are likely to end up on your wall and spends the majority of the session capturing those. Also—HAIR-OGRAPHY! In addition to posing she coaches how to adjust your hair! LOVED this! Everyone I show our photos to gasps and compliments how good the photography is. Alina is worth every penny and was one of the best decisions we made planning our wedding! —the owner of the venue we got married at booked Alina to photograph her daughter’s wedding. That told me everything I needed to know -

I found Alina's work from tagged photos on Instagram and absolutely LOVED how clean and natural her images were. From the very beginning to the very end, Alina was SO fast with communication and so helpful and informative. Neither my husband nor I had ever had professional photos taken, so we were both very nervous about our engagement shoot, but Alina made it so fun and easy where only the first few pictures felt "awkward" for us. This made our wedding day a breeze, and neither of us had the slightest bit of concern regarding our photos and felt so comfortable the entire time. She is the sweetest and most encouraging and complimentary person. She makes you feel like a million bucks with the comments she makes as she is shooting. Alina's turnaround time is RIDICULOUSLY fast. She provides you with sneak peeks on social media which make the waiting process so much easier. The photos she takes are just incredible. They are the most perfect snapshots of every moment of the day with the most beautiful clean editing style. She is being so helpful with choosing photos to purchase and creating a wedding album that we will cherish forever. I am obsessed with my photos and with Alina and I couldn't have made a better choice in wedding photographer! I will recommend her to anyone! -

I have shed tears, I’ve laughed, I’ve smiled. Alina did a phenomenal job and you were worth every single penny. I couldn’t imagine having anyone else do those photos. We have the most amazing pictures to remember our day. She was everywhere but also nowhere!! She somehow captured moments I either already forgot about or didn’t know about so it’s so fun to see those! She is amazing and any couple is blessed to have her as their photographer. -

If you want the kind of photos that capture the emotion of the day and are truly above and beyond what you could even imagine your photos would look like, Alina is your photographer. On top of the photos being absolutely breathtaking, we got our photos incredibly quickly, and they were easy to download and share with loved ones. It was an absolute pleasure working with Alina!!

My husband and I are both so happy that we went with Alina for our photographer!!! The wedding pictures were probably the thing I cared about most in planning our wedding day. I spent a lot of time researching and found Alina and loved her work. We went with her after a few email conversations, and I am SO happy that we did! Our wedding and engagement pictures came out beautifully, and Alina did an amazing job of capturing both our wedding day and our engagement shoot! Beyond being an amazing photographer, she is responsive and great to work with: she replied quickly throughout the wedding planning process and took time to thoroughly answer any questions I sent her way. Going with Alina as our wedding photographer was definitely one of the best decisions we made throughout the wedding process!! She does incredible work and is a joy to work with! I highly recommend choosing her as your photographer! -

Wow, just wow! That was our initial reaction to the family photos that Alina shot for us this past weekend. My wife, dog (Macy), and I want to do yearly family photos and needed a photographer in the Northern Virginia area. After a few google searches, we came across Alina Thomas Photography - and we were sold. Alina is THE BEST photographer we have ever worked with, not only was she extremely flexible with our schedule she went out of her way to make us feel comfortable during the shoot. I believe one of the key elements that differentiate a good photographer from a great photographer is their ability to make the shoot fun and you feel comfortable. Alina talked us through each of the poses and looks she needed to get the perfect shot, and the results are amazing! I wish we knew about Alina when we were looking for our wedding photographer, after seeing some of her wedding albums and then experiencing her in action first hand I would have booked her over all the others. With that said, my wife and I could not be more pleased with the photos we received - we will definitely be using her for our family photos next year and referring her to all of our friends. If you need a phenomenal photographer for your engagement, wedding, or just family pictures Alina Thomas Photography is the only photography I will recommend. -
Anne C. Sent on 12/18/2017Choosing Alina to photograph our engagement/wedding was by far one of the best choices my husband and I made planning our wedding. From her willingness to work with us, and how immediately comfortable she made the photography process to the amazing pictures we got as a result, it was a perfect experience. She took the time to get to know both of us, and kept up such thorough communication that I never had to worry about a thing. Alina encouraged my husband and I to do a first look, and it was one of the most meaningful moments of the whole day. She captured everything so beautifully from the ceremony, to my 9 year old brother’s reactions, the laughter, the tears, and everyone/thing that made that day so very special….Not to mention how nice it was to have someone around who understood so much about being short too. :) Alina really is the total package.

Maria Sent on 10/23/2016Alina, Alina, Alina! I cannot begin to express how amazing her work is! She is so incredibly talented! She knows how to capture pure raw happiness in all of her pictures! Her candid shots are perfect, and her work will most definitely make you relive your special day every time you look at your pictures! She works fast and efficiently! we received our gallery within a week from the wedding!!! I mean seriously, it doesn't get much better than that! She is so fun to work with, some photographers make the sessions a little stiff and awkward but Alina's personality makes you feel beyond comfortable! Alina, we cannot thank you enough for your amazing work! We have loved every single shot we received! and your attention to detail! gaaah!! Thank you thank you thank you!!! Seriously, BOOK HER! -

Jordan Sent on 07/08/2016It was a pleasure working with Alina and Timmy for our wedding at Sorella Farms. They were very familiar with the venue and knew all the perfect spots for beautiful photos.
They were with us for most of the day, taking pictures before the ceremony, during, and after, until our sparkler exit after the reception. They captured all the family and friend shots we needed, and we were left with plenty of time for creative, fun, and romantic shots as well such as our sunset pictures. I didn't realize how lovely they would be until I saw them, Alina really has a great eye for a beautiful shot, and we will treasure the photos. We have some slightly more traditional "wedding portrait" photos, and many creative photographs that are beautiful!
I loved that the photos do not look staged, fake, or cliche - they created lovely images that captured the beauty of Sorella and the excitement and romance of the wedding day.
We were so excited to get our pictures during our honeymoon! Only 7 days after our ceremony and they were more than we could have imagined! We received more than enough photos for our album and to share with our family and friends.
Alina and Timmy's, professionalism, skill, and artistic eye were all deeply appreciated. Everyone who has seen the photos absolutely love them! Alina Photography is highly recommended and I would certainly hire them again.
