Beautiful & Delicious

We got connected with Alice through our venue (WatersEdge) and we are so glad for that! Alice was great to work with and executed our cake vision perfectly. Everything was very straight forward with communicating what we were looking for. The cake was HUGE and so delicious!! We chose lemon cake with raspberry and strawberry filling - SO good! We got a lot of compliments from our guests, and we're excited to dive back into the cake on our 1st year anniversary! Can't recommend Alice enough, thank you!

Best wedding cake EVER!

I can’t recommend Alice enough! She is always super sweet, with clear and prompt communication, and the process from tasting to booking to day-of was easy. Not to mention her cakes are DELICIOUS. We had no leftovers!

Delicious!!

Alice created our wedding cake as well as a small cake for our original wedding date (we postponed due to Covid). She was absolutely amazing to work with and turned our vision into reality! She even flawlessly rescheduled us when we postponed in 2020. We are so happy we chose to work with Alice and will definitely be returning customers!

Beautiful and Delicious Cake with Personal Touches

Alice is the sweetest and so is her cake! We had such a fun time at the cake tasting and Alice was so helpful in designing our cake to look and taste just like we wanted. We had to postpone due to covid and she was very flexible with that. She had me send her a picture of the cake stand I wanted to use so she could make sure it was sturdy enough which I appreciated. My florist left flowers for Alice to decorate with on the day of the wedding and she did an amazing job. The cake was gorgeous - I got so many compliments on the look and flavor.
My grandmother also got in a car accident on her way to my wedding and my mom found out while Alice was there. Alice hugged my mom and offered to help in any way and that meant a lot to us! It's clear she doesn't just care about the cake, she also cares about the couple too!

Best Cakes in Columbus!

I had my wedding out of town but made sure to order my sheet cakes through Alice, and they did not disappoint. She made the BEST groom's cake for my husband. Highly recommend!!

Best cake ever!

If you are looking for a delicious and beautiful wedding cake that your guests will rave about for weeks afterwards, more than the ceremony, music, or food, look no further than Alice’s piece of cake! Alice is an absolute joy to work with, and her cakes and other desserts look and taste amazing! We ended up with a lot left over, and Alice’s frozen cakes taste just as good as the night of!

Alice was wonderful through rescheduling and #pandemicprobs and we loved that she offered desserts such as Buckeyes, chocolate covered strawberries, etc. desserts were delicious and we definitely recommend!

Beautiful and Delicous Cake

We had carrot cake at our wedding. The cake was beautiful and tasted delicious. Alice is very talented with her cake designs and could accommodate many different styles. I considered watercolor and gold leaf. We ended up going with gold spray as to keep the original cream cheese icing that is know to go on carrot cake. Alice was very helpful walking me through all of my different ideas

Very professional, flexible and does a great job. Our cake was different than the traditional wedding cake and Alice was able to deliver our dream. She works with your budget, gives helpful suggestions and has great flavor ideas. If I need cake or cupcakes for any other occasion I'll definitely contact her.

The cake was absolutely amazing! We got many complements from guests. Alice was also wonderful with helping us to redesign our cake several times, and assisted us in finding the perfect design combination from all of our many ideas. The cake was delivered exactly when it was supposed to be, and Alice was always responsive to emails. Overall a wonderful experience.

Alice was truly wonderful! She is so nice and very open to any ideas. We went for a consult at her house and did a tasting of her cupcakes and cake which are both out of this world! Throughout the process Alice was great about staying in touch and truly making our desserts the way we wanted them. We had a meeting with her a few weeks before to change some flavors around and it was no problem at all for her! Everyone had nothing but awesome things to say about the cupcakes at our wedding. We will definitely be using Alice in the future for anniversarys and birthdays!

Alice was wonderful to work with and our cake was amazing! We had so many compliments on it. We weren't able to give her our cake topper in advance and it turned out to be much heavier than we'd thought. She was able to make an adjustment to the cake on the spot and it turned out perfectly!! Alice made our wedding cake and it was absolutely delicious! Everyone was saying it was the best wedding cake ever. Not only did it taste amazing, but it looked beautiful! We couldn't have been any happier with how to all turned out! We had a two tiered cutting cake and two sheet cakes and just about all of it got eaten at the wedding! The little left didn't make it through the weekend :) She was amazing to work with and so flexible. We would highly recommend Alice for anyone wanting a beautiful and delicious cake!!

Alice was recommended to me by both my venue (The Vault, Downtown Columbus) and my Caterer (Boardwalk Catering). She was very accommodating and I was able to bring my parents, fiancé and mother in law with me to the tasting which took place at her home in Powell, Ohio. She answered all of my questions and was very straight forward about the process and even gave me options for cutting costs to stick to a lower budget. I ended up having more cake than I needed due to less RSVPs that I expected but it was so delicious that I don't even care! She was very responsive through email and the cake was delivered and set up with absolutely no stress to me. It was also visually stunning and exactly what I wanted as far as cake design. I would highly recommend this vendor to anyone needing a cake in central Ohio.

We tasted several cakes and this was the most delicious and affordable. We got a three teir with traditional white and the delicious raspberry white. Everyone complemented us on how pretty it was and how good it tasted.

Alice is amazing, and her cakes are even better. She was so responsive to my questions and totally fine with me changing my mind completely on the design a few times during the process. I couldn't believe how beautiful and tasty the cake was while also being one of the most affordable options. She will even make you an anniversary cake if you don't want to save the top- unfortunately I was an out-of-town bride so we froze our top and it was still delicious a year later! Already have recommended her to friends!

We are incredibly grateful to Alice for making us a delicious and creative wedding cake! From the start, Alice was fun to work with. She was eager to turn our vision into a reality. We got married at the Audubon Center and were hopeful for a bird cage cake. Alice executed perfectly and made a stunning cake that our guests raved about. Even better, the cake was delicious. Her raspberry and chocolate flavors are fantastic. Alice delivered the cake promptly to our venue, and we even caught her helping the venue staff carry in decorations. Our cake was one of my favorite parts of our wedding! I had given Alice a few pictures of cakes that I liked, and the cake she made looked better than all of them! We gave her a picture & the cake turned out exact !!! We tasted 3 flavors during our tasting & wanted everyone of them they were so good ! My husband & I are huge Disney fans & she even hid Mickey ears in our pearls on the cake ! If your looking for great flavor & beautiful cakes please please please call Alice !!!

Alice was so easy to work with. She was always quick with communication, affordable, and she did a wonderful job of bringing our wedding cake vision to life. It turned out more beautiful than we could have ever imagined, and it tasted just as good as it looked! We received so many compliments (especially for the white raspberry flavor). As an added bonus, Alice was familiar with both our florist and reception venue, and worked seamlessly with each of them to ensure flowers were placed correctly and that the cake was delivered on time. We never had to worry about a thing!

Alice made a wonderful cake for our wedding. She worked with us to find the best size cake with out budget and venue space. She really listened to our design wishes and created out perfect wedding cake. She has so many flavors to pick from and her icing is DELICIOUS! I would highly recommend her white raspberry flavor. Alice was wonderful with us! Her cakes are gorgeous and we were so happy with what she made for us. She is also very easy to work with and a very nice person. She was easy to get in touch with and always responded promptly to calls or emails which we really appreciated. On top of the beauty of what she makes it is also delicious. She offers a good variety of flavors and fillings and frostings so it was very easy for us to have exactly what we wanted. She also gave us a teacher discount which was a nice touch. We couldn't have been happier with Alice and the cake she made for us. We go back to her all the time now for our cake needs.

I had multiple guests find me just to tell me how good the cake was at our wedding! Alice did a great job and did not disappoint. I had never seen an example of what the cake was going to look like, but trusted that she had a vision and it would turn out great. We went with a 4 tier cake that faded from pearl white to gold and had a few fresh flowers around the tiers. We picked a traditional white cake, and a chocolate rasperry with chocolate ganache filling- both with almond butter icing. it looked great, and tasted better!!!

Alice was so friendly and helped us choose a cake that was delicious as well as within our budget. We had a lot of guests and a smaller budget, but Alice helped us find something perfect for us. The cake itself was AWESOME. Not dry, and the buttercream frosting is amazing. I am so looking forward to eating the top tier on our one year anniversary. Thanks Alice!!

Alice provides an amazing product for a great price! She works exclusively in buttercream, which means everything tastes great. Since I didn't want a cake topper, she created gum paste flowers for decoration, and they looked almost real. We will be ordering a small cake from her for our anniversary, because any excuse to eat more of her cake is a good excuse!

Alice's cake is hands down the best tasting cake in Ohio. We went to several other cake bakers and none compared to hers!!! We were planning our wedding from out of state and she made time to meet with us everytime we were in town and always answered my emails and phone calls. The cake not only tasted amazing but it was beautiful!!! Everyone commented that it was the best wedding cake they've ever had. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Working with Alice was a positive experience. She is easy to reach and she always responded to emails right away. We met with her to try her milk & lactose free cakes. The samples were fantastic, she provided a number of design ideas, and the price was on the mark! All of our guests loved the cake, and many went back for seconds until there was no more. No one knew it was milk free and when they found out, they were amazed!

Alice's cake is amazing! First of all, dealing with Alice is a treat in itself. She is creative, professional and eager to execute anything you've got your heart set on. I wanted a stained glass wedding cake; something unique and challenging and it couldn't have turned out any better than it did. It was amazing. And now let me say how good her cake tastes! She's got so many flavors to choose from that there's no way you can go wrong. Finally, she is the most reasonably priced baker in the business. Weddings are expensive enough as it is, if you go with Alice, you'll get a great cake at a great price. She made a cake that we will never forget. She's the best!

Alice was wonderful to work with! She was very accommodating and created exactly what I was looking for. We hired Alice to create a four tier wedding cake for our wedding in Columbus Ohio in April 2015. She is VERY reasonably priced and has delicious cake flavors and icings. She also allows you to have many different cake flavors within 1 cake. I highly recommend Alice's Piece of Cake.

We decided to go with this vender after eating her cake at another family member's wedding a few years ago. I loved the almond icing and she makes a very good and moist cake. The contract and all communication was fast and easy. At the meeting she managed to take my expensive ideas and turn them into something amazing within our budget. it looked and tasted great and the delivery was right on time. highly recommended.

In my opinion the best cake in Columbus and definitely best value.
She had great ideas and listened to mine too. I didn't decide what I wanted for sure until 2 weeks before and that was no problem for her. She even added some surprises I asked her for!

Alice was very prompt at meeting with us to try samples for a wedding cake. She also provided a gluten free option, top layer was gluten free, bottom was wheat. :) I could enjoy our cake too! She was very creative and made the cake icing decoration match my dress. It was very beautiful. I would select her again.

My mom's 65th Birthday cake from Alice's Piece of Cake. It was a 2 layer almond cake with chocolate ganache frosting and a chocolate ganache with strawberries as filling. So delicious and my mom LOVED it!

Alice was a pleasure to work with. She was very laid back, yet professional. Her albums displayed a large variety of designs and all of the cake flavors were delicious. She was open to hearing my ideas and vision for the cake, and provided additional insights to complete the design. All of our guests commented on how delicious and moist the cake was! I would definitely recommend Alice to other brides, and I highly recommend trying the white raspberry cake with almond icing :)

I am the mother of the bride and we were well pleased with Alice, both in meeting with her and in what she did for my daughter's wedding. We had a small cake with 140 cupcakes, all white cake with white icing. These were set up on a display which Alice provided and which we returned to her. Alice did a beautiful monogram on the cake and set everything up beautifully at the reception, just as we had requested. People loved her cupcakes.

Alice is great and her cake is fantastic! You can tell she loves what she does and she is genuinely happy for you, not just in it for the money. Not only is she awesome, but her cake is soooooo good! I am not even a big cake fan, so when it was time to think about a cake vendor I wasn't too thrilled. I also didn't realize how expensive it was for wedding cakes! Alice is not only super affordable, but her cake might have been one of the best that I've eaten! We did a small cake to cut and then 3 different flavors of cupcakes for the rest. There simply aren't words to describe how wonderful our wedding cake was. I had found a picture online of a naked cake that was the inspiration for our wedding. I had visited several bakeries prior to finding Alice's Piece of Cake on Wedding Wire. None of these bakers were up for the challenge of a cake with no outer frosting. I was told the cake would dry out and quoted prices over $600, so that they would not need to attempt this cake. Alice was excited for the challenge and the opportunity to make my unique cake. Her creation looked exactly like the photo I found online. I was so pleased with her final product. The cake was the hit of the reception. It is a month later and my family and friends are still gushing over our delicious and amazing cake. We all give her our highest recommendations!

I was a little worried since Alice makes all the cakes at her house, but my cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious! I had the gluten free option for the whole cake, and you couldn't even tell. The cake was definitely at a very reasonable price, especially since the whole cake accommodated to my dietary needs.

Alice did a beautiful job with the cake for our spring wedding! Not only was the cake beautiful, but it tasted great too - which is a truly awesome combo.

We actually ordered enough cake for 175 people and only had 145 people at our wedding reception, and the cake was gone at the end of the night! People were going back for seconds and thirds to taste the different flavors that Alice creates. And we are still hearing about how good the cake was a month after our wedding!

She is truly gifted in her baking and her prices are affordable too! Very easy to work with on top of everything else. We would highly recommend Alice's cake for your next event!

Alice is fabulous, truly one of a kind. To start, she was amazing to work with. She would get back to me quickly, answer any questions I had, met with me and my family several times, and was on top of things like no other. She is an expert in her field. I am a picky bride, I ask a ton (and I mean a TON) of questions. I emailed Alice probably 40 times over the course of my engagement-- and she responded with excitement every time.

Now to the good stuff-- her cake? Amazing. People are still raving about the cake from our wedding. We had three flavors and I saw dozens of our guests going up for more. The cake design was beautiful, she really took our vision and make it our own. I would highly recommend Alice to anyone!! I have already given her name to all my friends who are engaged :)

Couldn't have asked for a better person to make our wedding cake! From the first meeting up until the wedding she was easy to work with and created a perfect wedding cake. Alice was great from the start and really ended up being a lifesaver for us. We had tasted her cake about a year before the wedding and loved it. We ended up going with another baker at first because we took a chance on a smaller bakery that got us a slightly cheaper price. Two months before our wedding, we went to drop off our check, and the bakery was gone. They went out of business, and we were left scrambling. We called Alice, knowing that her availability was a long shot. We were so excited when she said she could accommodate our request and could make our cake. We still had our old contract, so she honored that, and we booked her right away. Our cake that day looked amazing and tasted even better. Our guests gave us so many compliments on our cake, and we enjoyed the leftovers after the wedding!

Best of all, Alice was able to work with our budget. We had three non-tiered display cakes with ribbon and an icing decoration. We also had a kitchen cake to lower the cost per serving, so we were able to stay within our budget. We'd definitely use Alice again!

We had 3 flavors of cake for our summer wedding. White chocolates raspberry and lemon, and a gluten free chocolate cake. They were all DELICIOUS! We had sheet cakes but the 2-tiered cake we displayed was BEAUTIFUL. At first we just wanted something simple, but when we saw how beautiful Alice's designs were, we decided to go with the cake that looked like a wedding present. Tasting the cakes was a fun experience too. Alice was so nice, and all of her samples were delicious it was hard to make a decision. I guess that is why we ordered three!

One word: AWESOME! Alice is so professional to work with and she didn't let me worry about anything during the whole wedding planning. She also doesn't push you to purchase more pieces than you need. I originally plannned to have a sheet cake along with my 4-tier but decided I wanted a grooms cake instead and Alice had no reserves on doing that for me, last minute. The best part is that her prices are very low for the great value she delivers. The cake was as delicious as it was beautiful. There was not one single piece left as my guests went up and got seconds. I had compliments on my cake for weeks after our wedding.

Alice made us a beautiful almond cake with butter cream frosting and raspberry filling. The cake was for our wedding, and it was the best cake either of us have ever had!

We met with Alice at her home, and she was very accommodating and friendly. She worked with us to find the perfect size and type of cake for our wedding. She had many samples for us to try, and they were all amazing. She delivered the cake to the Columbus Museum of Art, and we used one of her lovely brass cake holders.

The frosting work was a very beautiful and intricate floral pattern. We received many compliments about the cake, and we plan on ordering a smaller version for our 1 year anniversary! Thanks, Alice!

Alice designed a beautiful and delicious cake that exactly fit the feel of our wedding. On top of that, she was flexible enough to work with our schedule since we were planning the wedding from out of town. All of our guests loved the cake and she was so great to work with.

Absolutely wonderful tasting cake! We had a white chocolate w/ white chocolate ganache tier, chocolate w/ buckeye ganache tier and then a plain chocolate tier. It was amazing. We had only 50 guest but ordered cake for 78 expecting to take home the top tier for ourselves for later. However, we came home with only 2 extra slices, the guests ate that much extra cake. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful cake (rose swirl with live roses in between the tiers) and better tasting cake. Would highly recommend

We had a cupcake tower with a small tier cake at the top. We did half vanilla and half chocolate. Cupcakes were awesome and her almond icing is amazing! Very reasonably priced, great value!

Alice is wonderful. She gave us so many ideas and when I saw the cake design we wanted she knew it. She offered suggestions and made sure we were confortable with what we were gettng. The cake was not only beautiful but tasted amazing!!! We even froze our top layer and took it out on our first year anniversary and it was soooo good.

Alice made both our wedding cake and the groom's cake, and both were incredible!! Alice is wonderful to work with and can literally make anything you can dream up - she made the groom's cake a replica of my hubby's patrol badge! Our wedding cake is still receiving compliments from our guests!! We cannot wait for the next family get together so we can place an order for another amazing cake!!

Alice's cakes are delicious, reasonably priced, and of course gorgeous. I brought a photo of a cake like I had never seen before, and she was actually excited about tackling a unique project. It turned out gorgeous and everyone said how delicious it was! Plus, my fiancé hand-made a rather heavy cake topper (over 2 lbs!) and she bent over backwards to make it work for us (styrofoam top layer so it wouldn't sink, plus lots of reinforcements throughout). It worked and was beautiful, we got a lot compliments.
