Alexandra was such a wonderful day-of coordinator for our wedding last weekend. Even before the day-of, she helped us immensely by recommending awesome vendors. She was always easy to get in touch with and very responsive to all of our (many) questions. On the day of, she made sure that everything ran smoothly and on-time, even when we had a rather unexpected problem - one of the groomsmen got into a car accident (he was fine thankfully) and couldn't make it in time to walk down the aisle. We found out about this literally 5 minutes before showtime, but Alexandra was able to fix the lineup immediately. She was also the only one who could figure out how to bustle my dress, which was a huge lifesaver! After the wedding, everyone commented about what an awesome job she did.

As a hyper detail-oriented person with control-freak tendencies who spent a full year planning every single wedding detail, I was looking for a superb day-of-coordinator whom I could completely trust to take over the wedding so I could enjoy it without worry. I found this in Alexandra. I was fortunate enough to have her recommended to me by my fabulous florist (Lorinda from Sweet Talk Florals). She first impressed me with the amazing day-of schedule she created for us, which tightly structured the entire day. A month before the wedding, we touched base again and then few weeks leading up to the wedding as well as particularly the days before.

Alex was always there for us. She responded to every email and text, updated, flexed and enhanced every old and new detail in our plans, made great suggestions for how to run things smoothly, coordinated with all the wedding vendors etc. Because she was so organized and on top of things that I hired her on the fly a week before my wedding to run my rehearsal at the church as well - best decision I ever made.

Finally, she really showed off her skills on our wedding day, where she managed to run a 130 person wedding with 2 locations (Church + Reception) smoothly. She was everywhere and on everything that day, and yet managed to make me and my husband feel SO taken care of the whole evening - checking in on how we were feeling, getting us advil, water, drinks, food etc. whenever we needed. She took care of all our outstanding vendor payments on the day as well, took care of all the gifts, loaded all the remaining decorations, presents and alcohol into the car for us.

We also got compliments on how professional and lovely she was from all our family and friends, which was great. As my sister said to Alex: “You must be amazing if my sister hired you and is trusting you to run everything today.” You can’t go wrong with Alex, trust me, I’m the most particular and anal retentive bride. She’s awesome!

If you’re looking for a day of coordinator, look no further and book Alexandra now! My husband and I got married last month and Alexandra was an integral part of our day. We are incredibly grateful to have found her and hope to stay in touch with her for many years to come because she is just a wonderful person.

One of the many things we loved about her was her creative vision. Looking back at our wedding photos, I found myself saying over and over, “How did Alexandra think of that!!!”. When it came to our wedding décor placements whether it was candles or the polaroid photo station, or signs, we did not give Alex specific direction as we did not want to limit her creative vision. Everything she touched and placed turned into magic. Our venue was elegant, beautiful and whimsical.

Secondly, Alex thinks 10 steps ahead. Our favorite part was when she whisked my husband and I away for 10 minutes right after the ceremony into a private room so we can eat something but also so that we had a chance to breathe and really look at each other in the eyes and appreciate the big day. Weddings can be very overwhelming for the couple! We’re so happy she was able to provide this space in our timeline for us.

Our wedding was perfect, and even if something did go wrong, I never knew about it because I’m sure Alexandra took care of it with lightning speed improvising as needed. We love you Alexandra! And thank you again…

Alex was INCREDIBLE! Honestly, our wedding day could not have gone smoother thanks to her help! My mother was apprehensive of having a day of coordinator at all, but once she met Alex she could not stop raving about how organized and efficient she was. Alex thought of things that hadn't even crossed our minds. I would have been a ball of stress, running around like headless chicken making sure everything got done if she wasn't there. Alex also made my husband and I feel calmer and just created a calm and awesome atmosphere. Anyone who has Alex at their wedding is beyond lucky!!!

I could not have asked for a better Day of Coordinator than Alexandra Townsend. On the day of my wedding, August 25th 2017, she helped me feel so at ease and worry free, as a bride should be. Leading up to our wedding day she was very responsive to any question or concern I was having. Her experience and guidance in no way felt intrusive to my own ideas or plans of my dream wedding day. She was extremely supportive, which is something a bride really needs when dealing with the stress of putting together a wedding. A lot of times I think brides experience the "too many cooks in the kitchen" analogy and forget what it was THEY really wanted on their day. Her expertise was more than valuable to me especially since I had never even been in a wedding party to understand how the planning process worked.
She is a very well organized and professional coordinator. If it weren't for her working with me to put together a timeline I can not even imagine how all over the place my day would have been. That timeline helped keep my vendors on track with what needed to be done or what photos needed to be taken or what music needed to be played. It helped my wedding party stay focused and keep me focused as well so we can get all the "have to do" stuff out the way and just have a good time.
Alexandra was very attentive to my husband and I during the reception as well, making sure we ate something during cocktail hour and keeping us hydrated throughout the night as time and remembering to eat can slip away from you when you're having too much fun.
I am so grateful for her presence and contribution to my special day and I hope other people take advantage of it as well. She's a gem!

Alexandra is amazing!! My husband and I did not have to worry about a single thing the day of our wedding. She is so calm and organized!! After we met over the phone I knew immediately I had to hire her. During our walk through of the venue she made my husband and I feel like we were in a good place in terms of planning. I don't know what I would have done without Alexandra! She was so calm, cool and collected throughout the process, not to mention extraordinarily helpful and organized. The day ran so smoothly and better than I could have possibly imagined - it was like she was everywhere at once! I didn't have to worry about a thing with her there as I trusted her with every aspect of the day. Amazing, amazing, amazing!

I can't even begin to say how appreciative and thankful we are for the wonderful job Alexandra did for us for the day of our wedding!
Alexandra is a real pro! I would have been a stress case (more than what I already was) if it hadn't been for her. She made our day special and perfect! Prior to our wedding day, she put our minds at ease. We had multiple meetings and exchanged emails to plan the day and Alex always made great suggestions, came up with wonderful solutions and she rolled with the punches when we changed our minds. All of the big and little touches she made were just perfect! Everything she did was downright wonderful and we can't thank her enough!

Alex was instrumental in planning our wedding and making the day flow perfectly. She was so professional and organized-she seamlessly handled some issues we had with our caterer for us, that if I had handled, probably would have led to an argument. On our wedding day, she did so many sweet, surprising things- just little details that made the day even more special. She did our flowers and day of coordinating and was always at the right place at the right time, making every potential issue a non-issue. Everyone just kept saying how unique and beautiful everything looked, and how much fun they were having. She can really read a room and just make stuff happen. So happy we had her.

Alex is amazing. She was the key person that made our wedding day as magical as it was. My husband and I were able to fully enjoy our big day because of her; we never had to worry about a thing because she was so on top of having our day run smoothly, and did so in a calm positive manner that made everyone else feel comfortable, as well. While technically our "day of" coordinator, Alex went above and beyond, organizing with our various vendors, family, and friends in the weeks leading up to our wedding so that all parties arrived at the venue with full confidence that the day would run smoothly. With her years of experience, she was able to apprehend and address with us all the steps and hiccups that could occur to ensure that they never happened--and that we had no worries--on our big day. I could not recommend her more.

Alexandra was awesome during our wedding. She took care of everything and made sure things ran smoothly behind the scenes. She even went so far as to hide behind me, holding my veil and train during photos, just so they wouldn't get wet or dirty on the ground before the ceremony. She was great at confirming all of the details with the vendors ahead of time, too. I highly recommend Alexandra!

We can't thank Alexandra enough, she is absolutely amazing! We hired Alexandra as our day of coordinator and florist and she exceeded our expectations, we fully recommend her to other couples.
As our day of coordinator, Alexandra met with us early in the planning process, she visited the venue with us and had wonderful suggestions for the schedule of the day, based on her previous experience and what we wanted from our day. She communicated with all vendors and worked with the venue's manager to make sure the day ran perfectly. She kept us very calm on the day of the wedding, came to see me at the hotel as I was getting ready, and made sure that we were having fun at all times, I didn't have to worry about anything on that day. For the flowers, she worked with us with a limited budget and created a beautiful reception, and went above and beyond on the ceremony decor, creating a romantic setting for our Brooklyn rooftop, as I found myself surrounded by gorgeous sunflowers (my favorites!)

Alexandra was simply indispensable during my wedding day and my husband and I don't know what we would have done without her!

From the initial consultation, to our many, many emails, Alexandra always responded promptly and professionally. We spoke with many potential Day of Coordinators and chose Alexandra because of her experience with my venue, the Metropolitan Building and her calm demeanor. Alexandra always lent her expert advice but defaulted to whatever my husband and I ultimately chose.

We were a heavy DIY wedding plus we did our own florals, so Alexandra was key in helping our caterer set up and ensure our vision could come to life. My husband and I were only able to see the space two hours prior to the ceremony and it was seriously perfect. Everything came out better than I ever imagined and Alexandra was key in that.

She kept the entire evening going smoothly, ensuring we were always on schedule but also flexible. She made sure my husband and I were well fed and even provided a plate of apps for us during cocktail hour. What I loved most about Alexandra is that she used her expertise and judgement throughout he evening. I had asked her to place some parting chocolates out at the end of the night and she decided to put them in the elevator as guests started to leave. I really appreciated her decision making and she definitely helped to alleviate a ton of stress that my husband and I would have otherwise had to deal with.

Hiring a DOC was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process and we would choose Alexandra over and over again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much!

Alex was amazing. We hired her as our day of coordinator at The Green Building in late July, but she was there with us the whole way. She managed several changes and helped to keep us calm when we needed to switch our caterer 3 months before the wedding. She was awesome the day of the wedding. Making sure everything happened on schedule and that all of my MANY DIY things got to their respective places. She really knows what she is doing and manages everything in a very calm manner. It is really important to look for this quality in a day of coordinator, because you will likely, without fail, have something that is making you not calm. Alex being there to handle everything and follow up made things go much smoother. Book her! She was one of the best decisions we made.

We hired Alexandra as our day of coordinator as well as our florist and she truly exceeded our expectations in both areas. I fully recommend her for both services.

Day Of Coordination:
We decided to go with Alexandra 8 months before our wedding. She met with us right away and created a very useful working schedule. This was so helpful and gave us a solid framework for the ideas we had for our day. I really enjoyed wedding planning and had a clear vision but Alexandra’s experience definitely helped me see details we were missing. She was really easy to work with and provided great suggestions to help us stay within our budget and make sure everything went off without a hitch. She managed the schedule and made sure all our vendors were on the same page. She worked really well with everyone involved in the wedding – family included! Honestly the best recommendation I can give is to say that the day of our wedding I had no worries, was not asked to do anything except enjoy myself, and everything went as we had hoped!

Florals
I had a really clear idea of what I wanted for the florals: stay with-in a limited budget, emphasis on greens, bridal bouquet and a wedding backdrop that mirrored an inspiration image. Alexandra and I met in the flower district so I could show her the flowers/greens that were really speaking to me. This was fun, easy, and helpful. I also really appreciated that it was quick! Alexandra is super friendly but she’s also efficient and as a full-time working bride I really, really, appreciated this from her. I basically left the flowers in Alexandra’s hands after giving her the ideas of what we wanted. I am so happy that I did – the florals she provided were truly exceptional. We received so many compliments throughout the night on the wedding backdrop and our table designs. I feel everything she did was exactly as I had described and imagined.

A friend of mine recommended her services as "the best money" she spent on her wedding......and she was Right!

I rarely write reviews, and for our wedding I am writing only 1 review, this one. I hope this speaks volumes of how much my wife and I appreciate Alexandra's services. We are very focused on details and efficiency and would characterize my wife and I as hard to please.

Alexandra easily took away mountains of stress during the event and kept us focused during the planning period. She is organized, thoughtful and full of helpful ideas. I highly recommend her services as a "must have" to anybody not using a full blown wedding coordinator.

Alexandra was amazing ! She is the reason I was able to enjoy my wedding. She has this sense of calmness and take charge about her that you know you're in good hands. She made contacting her easy and effortless and she had great ideas and recommendations that definitely helped us. Her floral works is beautiful! She did my bridal bouquet, the boutonnieres, bridesmaids bouquets and mother bouquets and they were so so so gorgeous. She's great because you can tell she loves
her job and will work with your budget to make you happy.

Alexandra was a huge help--she is well worth every penny we spend. She did my flowers as well.
She was very helpful in laying out the schedule and keeping me on it. Even though I hired her for Day of Coordination, she must have spend at least 10 hours on my wedding before the wedding day. In fact, she would reach out to me and want to discuss details--not the other way around.
On the day of the wedding, Alexandra kept things running and managed a few difficult vendors (band leader thought it was appropriate to ask me about feeding the band at 10:30 pm while it was not in the contract) as well as family members.
Overall, Alexandra is a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend her.

Alexandra was a wonderful last minute addition to our wedding planning. We hired Alexandra about 3 months prior to our wedding date, when we knew we didn't want family/guests to help with the background odds and ends of the day, and when I knew that I would be worrying all day about the details I spent so much time planning and couldn't enjoy it in full unless someone else took the reins. Alexandra took the day of schedule very seriously, helping us to map out the day entirely and create a more realistic timeline during the reception meal time. She handled all vendors and any other issues that may have happened on our wedding day (which we never knew about because she shielded us from it). If you can swing it, PLEASE consider adding Alexandra to your wedding budget. Her services are completely worth it if for nothing else, peace of mind on your most memorable day.

As a bride who knew nothing about flowers or even what I really wanted to have at my wedding, working with Alexandra was the best thing that could have happened to me! She met with me at my venue, the Brooklyn Winery, so that she could understand the space and atmosphere, and then based on my very few thoughts about what I might like, created the most breathtaking and special arrangements, bouquets and boutonnieres! Alexandra met me at my hotel to give me the bouquets ahead of time. As I mentioned, flowers were not something I was knowledgeable about or even that concerned about, but the sight of the unique and beautiful bouquets actually brought me to (happy!) tears for the first time that day! She also went out of her way at the venue to set up some antique teacups I had collected on tables with flowers and candles. Her services were very reasonably priced and she never pressured me to have anything more than I was comfortable with. I give my highest recommendations to Alexandra for anyone looking for stunning flowers, exceptional service and a very personalized experience!

I don't know what I would have done without Alexandra on my big day. I was blown away by her professionalism, ability to take on any task and make it seem like no problem at all and make me feel so calm and confident that everything would go off smoothly. From the moment I contacted and initially met with Alexandra she was so organized and made me know that she would be incredibly dependable and professional on my wedding. My mom and other family members couldn't believe how much she did in preparation and on the day. Alexandra contacted all of my vendors prior to the wedding, confirming all details, answered all of my questions that I couldn't figure out, made sure the venue was setting up exactly the way I had imagined and packed everything up at the end of the evening so I didn't need to worry about anything. I am a very organized person but to not have Alexandra there on my day would have made my day not as easy and beautiful as it was. I would not think twice before hiring Alexandra again and know that all of my friends have already decided on their day of coordinator for their future weddings!! Thank you Alexandra!

My family told me I didn't need a day of coordinator (DOC) and I'm so glad I did not take their advice. Hiring Alexandra for our DOC was by far the best decision we made for the wedding. She was so professional, organized and calm. Her services were above and beyond my expectations. Even weeks before the wedding she attended our tasting, helped with organizing the day, contacting vendors, etc. The day of she made sure we had absolutely nothing to worry about. I am convinced that there is no way the day would have gone as perfectly as it did without her. She was so wonderful to work with and highly recommend her to any bride looking to hire a DOC.

I found this vendor by reading other reviews. When we met for a consultation, she made me feel at ease and wanted to know about my theme. After getting a better idea of what I wanted, she came up with a mock picture and showed me for my approval. She was on point! The colors and flowers selected were exactly as I had envisioned, romantic, vintage and classic. Alexandra is very sweet and professional. Her rates are very reasonable and her arrangements were beautiful.

Alexandra was both our day of coordinator and our florist and I am very happy with both services that she provided.

FLORIST: We had a small-for-NYC flower budget and Alexandra was able to give us beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, and table arrangements. I met with her a few weeks before our wedding and showed her flowers that I liked and didn't like and she was able to suggest flowers and make great arrangements from that. She put everything in place and even arranged for flowers from our ceremony to make it to our reception so that was a cost savings. I had one bouquet, 3 corsages, 1 boutonniere, 13 table arrangements, and 2 big altar arrangements.

DAY OF COORDINATOR: We met with Alexandra twice and she really put all of our ideas on paper and made sure that everything that we planned would work out. A family member was our officiant but Alexandra still took the time to call as she would with any other vendor just to check in to make sure that there were no mixed messages. Alexandra kept everything moving- she was like magic.

OVERALL: I've been to a few weddings where the coordinators are "loud"- I think they've seen Father of the Bride one too many times and want to be divas. Alexandra was everywhere that we needed her to be but I think she only made it into one of our photos (where she was watching us cut the cake from several feet away). That is in sharp contrast to some other coordinators I've seen- one who even walked down the aisle in front of the bride, fussily adjusting the runner that needed no adjusting. I would whole-heartedly recommend Alexandra for day of wedding coordination as well as for flowers.
