My husband and I have nothing but praise for Alex and her second shooter Kat, from Alexandra Mandato Photography! From the initial inquiry all the way through our wedding day, Alex was an absolute pleasure to work with. Kat was a second shooter who came on the day of our wedding, who we absolutely adored, and her pictures were just as phenomenal as Alex’s! Alex is incredibly kind, professional, understanding, responsive, and organized, which made for a seamless planning process and provided a sense of comfortability throughout. They both made us, our bridal party, and guests feel incredibly comfortable in front of the camera. When we got our final pictures back, my husband and I were absolutely FLOORED and STUNNED by their incredible work. I cannot put into words how much we appreciate all of their hard work to make our wedding day so special. We were so grateful to have Alex and Kat be a part of our big day and create photos that were truly breathtaking and unforgettable. They are forever family, and we’ll recommend them to anyone and everyone 1,000 times over! WE LOVE YOU ALEXANDRA MANDATO PHOTOGRAPHY! -

Alex was without a doubt the BEST decision we made when it came to our wedding. She has the most amazing personality and makes it so easy to be in front of her camera. Throughout the entire 1.5 years leading up to our wedding she was my go to. She answered questions and solved problems that would never be expected of a wedding photographer, but I just knew she was the one I wanted to hear the answer from. Our engagement photos were incredible, and delivered to us so quickly. When it came to wedding day we were blown away. There were SO many photos and each one was incredible. We felt like she truly captured every moment so beautifully. At the end of the night, she even sent us 20 sneak peak photos, before the reception was even over!!!!! Alex is a wonderful person inside and out, and that is represented beautifully in her work. We are so thankful to have worked with her, and will continue to work her throughout all of our life milestones 🤍 -

We LOVE Alex!!!
I would recommend Alex to EVERYONE! Alex shot our engagement, wedding and newborn photos. I keep going back to her because she does an amazing job at capturing exactly what your looking for. Alex is open to suggestions and wants to make your photos exactly what you want! Communication was easy and she if very flexible! You won’t be disappointed! -

The best decision of our wedding!
Alex was seriously one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We initially got our engagement photos done by her and within minutes knew she was truly gifted at what she does. She is so fun to work with and will put you at ease within seconds. The photos came out so great we knew we had to have her at our wedding too.
Leading up to the wedding she was so on top of it. She sent us her book about what to expect on our wedding day which was so professional and helpful. On the day of our wedding she was INTEGRAL to making things run smoothly. She was so much more than a photographer. She knew what needed to happen and when. She was always at the right spot to catch the perfect candids. Honestly, a good photographer is one of the best things you can do for yourself on your wedding day. Do yourself a favor and hire Alex. We were so so impressed with our photos and have them to cherish for the rest of our lives. -

Everything I could have asked!
From one detail to the next, Alexandra was perfect. Since the day I booked with her she helped with guiding me to make decisions. She had great input! In person, she was wonderful as well! I not only got plenty of compliments on the final pictures’ quality but my bridal party loved working with her and her second shooter. My husband and I loved her suggestions and she didn’t make us do anything too cheesy or uncomfortable. She got all the shots we hoped for and more. I 100% would recommend:) -

Nothing short of amazing!
I could say a million great things about having Alex as our photographer, but I’ll try to summarize! She was professional, personable and organized. She always had a smile on her face and I LOVED working with her. She did both our engagement and wedding photos and I love them all. Alex did everything in her power to make us feel comfortable in front of the camera. All her planning ahead of time and coordinating with both myself and my wedding coordinator made taking our wedding portraits and family pictures quick and efficient, so we had plenty of time to mingle and party, and there isn’t a single shot I don’t love. She also captured so many amazing candids, not only of my husband and myself, but of our family that I will cherish forever. I look forward to having her capture more special moments in our lives! -

Alex is a wonderful and artistic photographer who captures the moment perfectly with her camera. Her photos are elegant and spectacular. Her bubbly personality is contagious and makes you so much more relaxed when taking photos! Her photoshoots were always so much fun! My husband and I are not photogenic but she brought out our inner models. We couldn't have picked more perfect person to capture our wedding. She is flexible and always willing to go the extra mile for her Bride and Groom. She is unlike any other! -

Alex was our first and without a doubt our most favorite wedding vendor. She was absolutely outstanding from the start. My Wife and I had a specific “look” that we wanted for our pictures and Alex’s work was so well represented on her site - she delivered above and beyond what we were hoping for in our engagement session AND on our wedding day.
She’s also a blast to be around. She made us feel so comfortable in our engagement session that we felt like professionals on the day of our wedding! She’s very natural.
Also, she’s extremely dedicated and clearly gives you her all - while at our wedding, there was the opportunity for pictures during a beautiful sunset. Alex came to us and asked if we wanted to go outside for the pictures and she literally ran with us to get us setup for amazing pictures. Her effort was non-stop and always fun. She really feels like a friend.
We highly recommend her for any engagement and wedding session. We can’t wait to have her for family photos in the future as well! -

Alex was an absolute joy to work with. First and foremost, our photos are INCREDIBLE. She captured every detail, emotional moment, candid shot, and formal photo beautifully. She made us feel comfortable, and gave us enough direction on posing so we knew exactly what to do. I can be very uncomfortable on camera so this was invaluable! She was also commanding enough that our group shots went quickly and seamlessly. She was incredibly responsive, helpful with timelines, and flexible with shooting (our engagement session had to be moved a couple times due to weather). She was also flexible the day-of, and made sure we got all the shots we wanted. Her advice was also spot-on. We were initially unsure of a first look, but we decided to go ahead with it with guidance from Alex. Those moments were my favorite of the day, and the photos we got are absolutely priceless. We also made time for sunset photos, which gave us AMAZING shots with the best lighting. We opted for a second shooter, and she was also incredible. I would recommend Alex a million times over, you'll have the best experience and unforgettable photos. -

I don’t even know if I can write a review that will even do justice for Alex. She was hands down my favorite, easiest, and most helpful vendor to work with! She’s so much more than “just a photographer”. Our photographs from both our wedding and engagement session are breath taking. Our wedding photo sneak peaks literally brought tears to my eyes. Throughout the day Alex helped us feel so natural in front of the camera, made sure to not take us away from the night too much, and gave us an amazing timeline so we knew exactly what we would be doing when so we could make the most of the night! She really does so much for her brides. I can’t recommend her enough! 💗👏🏼 -

Ashley Sent on 05/30/2018I seriously cannot say enough good things about Alex, she exceeded my expectations for a wedding photographer by 1000%!! We got an engagement shoot and she sent us a canvas of our favorite photo. She sent us little gifts along with her catalog after booking (so cute)! She was always the sweetest, and so responsive, understanding, and helpful with all aspects of our day! She was so great to work with that I felt like I already knew her before we met at our engagement session! Knowing how impatient couples can be to get their pictures, we got a sneak peak only a few days after our wedding, you have no idea how nice that is!! Aside from her exceptional personality and professionalism, her photos are out of this world beautiful. My maid of honor has already said she wants to fly Alex to Maine to do her wedding 2 years from now!!

Katelyn Sent on 03/07/2018I cannot even begin to express how much our experience with Alex means to me. Truthfully, a picture is worth a thousand words - and we have 10's of thousands of words we could say about this talented, thoughtful woman. I have put off writing this review because I don't think words can do justice to the artistry that Alex brings to ANY photo experience.
Alex started the process with a phone call- which seems simple enough- but her tone and knowledge and ability to truly get to know people shines, even on the phone. Neither of us consider ourselves photogenic but that is no match for Alex. The eve of our engagement session, we all got notice that it was supposed to snow so Alex immediately rearranged things to move our session to an evening instead of morning. She also rearranged our tour of Camden Yards, where we were going to do part of our session. When we arrived- it was freezing but Alex's warmth and passion kept us going. She does it all- poses, moves hair, makes you laugh, makes you feel like you could model for a living - if only just for her. After both shoots, we couldn’t be more excited with the photos. Her galleries even make it easy to share with family before you reach social media!
Then came our wedding- I had no idea what to expect going in but was confident it would be an amazing experience. I felt so calm about Alex's plan and when she arrived and got started, it all felt real. Alex made sure every moment felt like it was the best and most special moment of the day. Our family and guests loved that she was able to get every shot we desired and still have fun with us at the reception- no one even noticed all the candids she snapped until we received our photos back (which was much sooner than most of our friends).
And this is where I truly become speechless. Alex takes pride in every shot. She puts thought, passion and warmth into every pose. She is truly an artist and we are so grateful to have her as our forever photographer and friend. -

I was worried about picking the right wedding photographer, as soon as Alex and I got in touch I felt completely at ease. She's always available to answer any questions/concerns I had. She's extremely responsive and professional. Alex is very organized and thinks of every detail. And the pictures....absolutely stunning. Alex is beyond talented..I mean do you see the pictures on her page/blog?! She truly has a gift for capturing all the moments and special details of the day. She captured the fun, the laughter, and most importantly the love of our wedding day, without pulling us away from the party. Our guests raved about how wonderful Alex and Joey were. They came in as photographers and left as honorary members of the Pfeifer/O'Brien family. Our pictures arrived quickly and are absolutely stunning. I am so grateful to have such wonderful heirlooms to pass on for generations. We were so lucky to have Alex as our photographer! -

Alex Sent on 01/18/2018Alex photographed my wedding in September and she did not disappoint! She is seriously one of the most kind human beings and an amazing photographer!
I was put in contact with Alex through a friend of a friend and decided to book her for my wedding. The price was right and her photos evoke so much beauty. She was very responsive and accommodating through the entire process and made my life very simple as a bride. She was always very prepared and details were always a big emphasis for her, which I loved.
We just received all of our wedding photos and I am so in love with them. She captured our day absolutely perfectly - I literally look at them multiple times every day! I could not have asked for anyone better to photograph the most amazing, memorable day of our lives.
Alex is THE BEST, and her work is stunning! If you need a photographer, book her! -

Sarah Sent on 01/18/2018Where to start...my husband, myself, friends and family cant rave about Alex enough! I first want to say how much I appreciated talking to an actual person. When I first acquired about her doing my engagement/wedding photos, she asked when would be a good time to call. I had spoken to a few other photographers and it was all over email, talking to Alex over the phone made me feel like the only bride she was working with, all of the attention was on me. Her sweet and friendly personality make posing and smiling so comfortable and less awkward. My husband hates getting his picture taken but the way she makes you laugh, you could see his stress quickly fade away. Big plus is she also has a sweet spot for dogs and having our 2 labs in the engagement photos was important to us. She made no fuss at all about last min photos requested by family and captured every detail that we will cherish forever. Turn around time for both engagement and wedding photos were quick but we loved getting a 25+ picture sneak peek the next day! No doubt that she will be the one we turn to for a future maternity session!
