As someone who doesn’t typically wear makeup and lets her hair air dry every day, I was nervous about how I’d look on my big day. Alexandra put all my worries to rest with her incredible skills and compassionate approach. She created the perfect look for me, blending elegance with a natural touch that made me feel like the best version of myself.
Alexandra’s patience and clear direction were truly appreciated. She took the time to understand my preferences and crafted a look that not only suited me perfectly but also made me feel completely comfortable. Alex and team were AMAZING!!! Alex did my hair and makeup for the rehearsal dinner (half up look) and Alex/Ashley/Anica did hair/makeup the day of (bun) and I was OBSESSED with both looks. I got so many compliments about how pretty but natural I looked. I feel it’s hard to get unanimous approval on hair and makeup from the wedding party, but ALL my bridesmaids and the MOB and MOG were happy. Alex and team know how to work with a person’s preferences. As a bride, I went with an elevated natural look and it exceeded my expectations. I looked like myself and felt like myself, and received tons of compliments from guests. You must get Alex for your own wedding!! -

Alex and her team were wonderful to work with leading up to and on my wedding day. I was drawn to Alex's natural, glowy style in her portfolio. During my trial with Alex and Ashley B., they were both extremely thorough in asking about my vision for my look and giving me advice for skin and hair prep leading up to the wedding. Alex was responsive and easy to communicate with, and she and her team expertly tackled my large wedding party on the day of. Several of my bridesmaids said that this was the best hair and makeup they had received from another person, and I agree! I can't thank them enough for their amazing work. -

As I write this about 9 months too late after my wedding, I still can't shake the feeling of how grateful I was to have Alexandra (Make Up) and Lani (Hair) as a team joining me and my bridal party on our wedding day.
Alexandra took the 5 months leading up to my wedding to check in on my skin care routine, make suggestions, recommend facialists and ultimately I came to wedding day with clear, dewy moisturized skin all thanks to her recommendations. She essentially helped me find the solution to clear up some dry areas I had been battling for a while. Which is totally outside of the scope of what I would imagine my make up artists to do. But she was passionate about this aspect and preparing your skin for make up on wedding day! Then on day of, she and Lani not only helped manage the chaos that ultimately happens in a wedding suite, but kept me feeling calm, special and listened to. They helped me unwind, relax and live in the moment as they did my HMU in a timely fashion leading up to our first look. In addition to LOVING my hair and make up that they did, they took the time to help my bridesmaids, my mother, MIL and step mom along with my grandmother who was in another wing of the hotel. They stuck around for a bit longer than we asked them too and even though we were running behind schedule and made everyone involved feel and look their best!!
I appreciated the relationship I built with both of the women during my wedding planning and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in the North East (because they live there and around Boston) but also beyond. Thank you both for everything! This was so long over due, but I hope you know how thankful I was for everything you did for me and Joe on our wedding day -

I found Alexandra when I was looking for someone to do my make up for my engagement pictures. Immediately I knew I needed her for my wedding day! She walked me through everything. Helping with what I should do for skin prep leading up to the wedding and helping me decide what to do for a look. I felt completely at ease knowing I was in her hands. My bridesmaids were so impressed and loved all of their looks. It was a 10/10 experience. -

If you're like me, you are looking to look like yourself on your wedding day. That's to say you want to look like yourself if you woke up and looked absolutely flawless and like you glow from the inside out on a daily basis.

Maybe you are someone who is a makeup expert, or maybe like me you're someone who puts on a bit of mascara and calls it a day. No matter what your makeup comfort level is Alexandra and her team are a perfect fit for your wedding day because they meet you where you are and make sure you are feeling great 100% of the way.
Alexandra's professionalism and passion for her work is clear. Her team is incredible and will make you feel at ease from the beginning to end of your time working together.
Makeup trial - Alexandra absolutely wowed both me and my mom during our makeup trial. Her charisma and expertise made the conversation easy and our time flew by. Alexandra asked me questions about my regular routine, what I wanted to look like on the day, and made recommendations for my sensitive skin based on her background as an esthetician. I also really appreciated Alexandra's followup and communication. At every point she opened the door for feedback to ensure we were always on the same page and I was feeling great about how I'd look on my wedding day. I left the trial feeling incredible and like I had learned a ton in our time together.
Wedding Day - Alexandra and her team arrived promptly and were clear in all communications with me and my mom about the day. She coordinated a schedule for hair and makeup well in advance and we were right on time all day! After the bridal party and mothers of the bride and groom were completed, my 96 year old grandmother even decided she wanted her makeup done too because everyone else looked so great!
Everyone looked fantastic and we all agreed it was the best experience we'd ever had getting our makeup done. I cannot recommend Alexandra at her team highly enough! -

Alexandra did an amazing job for my wedding! My two "bridesmen" had the male-grooming option, they loved having some concealer and powder, and they looked SO good. And then, even with both moms being super skeptical about having someone do their makeup, Alex was so kind and understanding, deciphering what they would like and being patient with trying different things and describing options on the spot. Both moms were very happy and they looked great all day. One of the things I was so impressed with was how Alex worked with the shy 15-year-old bridesmaid, who was struggling to describe what she wanted and Alex offered to have her text what she wanted, which did the trick. It was so helpful and calming to me, a stressed bride on the wedding day morning, to have someone so understanding and chill to work with my family.
As for my makeup! Alex did amazing. I did a makeup trial with her during the summer and Alex took her time explaining what I should look to for guidance in picking and describing the look I wanted (I hardly know what I’m talking about with describing makeup looks so she was very patient with me). I was able to tweak a couple small things for the wedding day and Alex did exactly what I wanted. I also asked Alex to stick around for a couple extra hours to do touchups during the first look, family portraits, and right up until the ceremony started. I was so impressed with her attention to detail—she even changed up my makeup coloring a bit when we changed locations from outside at the first look to inside for the ceremony!

Alex delivered just what I wanted: A timeless, classic look. My goal was to look my best vs. looking made-up (if that makes sense). She accentuated my best features and diminished the flaws in my complexion (acne scarring and discoloration on the lower half of my face).
Bonus: I loved my hair. I got what I asked for: Smooth with lots of volume -A tall order given that I have loads of fine hair but it's curly to wavy depending on the day.
When I (proudly) snapped selfies and texted them to my 3 sisters en route to the venue, there was a chorus of compliments. Note: If you have sisters, then you know that they're capable of brutally honest feedback when-if called for :) .
P.S. My blowout lasted two-sleeps.

Alex did hair and makeup for myself and my close family for my wedding this fall. I cannot say enough good things about her and my experience. I threw her for a loop several times as I changed my look 2x and revised the schedule the day before. She took feedback extremely well and CRUSHED the day. All day (and I mean literally 8am - 3pm) she produced amazing, unique looks for everyone taking each person's skin and hair into consideration for a full end-to-end experience. Alex is great at what she does, and she also picks up the vibe very well. Helped calm nerves, great with jr. bridesmaids, THE WHOLE THING. I loved my experience so much I referred one of my dear friends to her for her wedding in 2022. THANK YOU ALEX!! -

I was referred to Alexandra when I was looking for a hair stylist for my wedding this past October, and I'm so happy that I found her. Sarah, from Alexandra's company, was able to deliver the dreamiest, most elegant, and bohemian look that was exactly what I was hoping for. My mother, bridesmaids and flower girls' hair also looked incredible, and Sarah was a delight to work with. Not only did the styling come out fantastic, but working with Alexandra leading up to the wedding was great. From our first correspondence, she was friendly, helpful and extremely professional, and made the planning process go very smoothly. I cannot recommend her enough!! -

Professional, fun make up experience!
I was an older bride (68 yo). I wanted to look radiant and fabulous on my wedding day. An acquaintance recommended Alexandra's services. I couldn't have been happier with my choice. My two dear friends, my 14 yo granddaughter and I looked wonderful on my special day. Each of us had very different expectations of what looking wonderful meant. Alexandra made it happen for each of us!!!

Best start to the best day
Where do I even begin! My husband and I planned our small wedding in a pretty short timeframe and I feel so lucky that Alexandra and Ashley were free to do my and my bridal party’s hair and makeup. Leading up to the wedding Alexandra was communicative and helped guide me through every step of the process just based on scattered mood board I sent her. I initially did not feel like I needed a trial but I am so glad I did because she suggested little pearls to put in my hair that made the whole look and admittedly I don’t know if I would have been in a place mentally to add anything new to the mix on the actual big day. Alexandra absolutely made my 60s bride dreams come true. She also was such a calming presence throughout the whole day. She made sure I was comfortable and not feeling too overwhelmed as I am not a fan of being the center of attention (and that’s hard to avoid on your wedding day!) We even ended up doing some breathing exercises together! I also can’t say enough about Ashley. She was so fun to be around and did an amazing job on everyone’s hair! The whole day was filled with laughter and love but Alexandra and Ashley helped us start out on the right foot laughing along with us. Absolutely a 14/10 experience.

Amazing Experience!
Alexandra was amazing from start to finish - she was flexible with our needs (we were doing a very small ceremony due to an emergency family situation), she met with me a few days before the ceremony because I was coming out from CA and wasn't able to do a makeup trial so we could discuss what I was hoping to have for the big day, and she made me, my mom (who is very picky), and sister feel absolutely at our best! -

Alex and her team are AMAZING!
I came across Alex when I booked a facial at a nearby salon. I had just come off of a terrible makeup trial and was talking to her about it and unsure of what to do. She told me about her business and we did a trial the next day. I knew she would be the perfect fit after the trial. Alex has the talent to do makeup AND to treat your skin using the products and care it needs of your big day. My skin felt hydrated and light the day of the wedding and I felt like a more beautiful version of my true self! I have had my makeup done by countless MUA’s as a bridesmaid and this was the first time I didn’t go into the bathroom and wipe some off. Alex perfectly matched my vision. My bridesmaids all loved their makeup as well and (3 years later) still talk about how wonderful Alex was! I can’t recommend Alex enough, she made me feel relaxed, confident, and beautiful on one of the most important days of my life. Thank you Alex!! -

Amazing - book her!
Alexandra made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day. I wanted a natural look and that's exactly what I got! The makeup felt weightless and stayed on all day and night through an 85 degree outdoor ceremony and lots of dancing. One unique thing about her is how much she knows about skincare and how well she prepped my skin before applying any makeup! She also did my bridesmaids, mother, and mother in law and was very timely. Absolutely recommend! -

Wedding Makeup 2022
Start to finish I absolutely loved my experience with Alexandra as she was my wedding makeup artist. Right away from the trial I knew I was going to feel my best on the wedding day, she listened to the style makeup I was looking for and also made great suggestions. Alexandra was professional, brought a calm, stress free and fun energy for the wedding day. I felt like my absolute best and was glowing , the other 4 makeup on bridesmaids and mothers looked incredible. I hope I have an excuse to have Alexandra provide more makeup services on me in the future! -
