Alayna is by far the best photographer I have ever worked with. She is easy to get along with, prompt in her replies and turnaround for getting your photos, and overall just a joy to have had for our special day. Her prices are incredibly reasonable given the quality of her work. We had a DIY style wedding but she was so worth investing in for the photos we will get to treasure for a lifetime! Alayna was so incredible throughout this entire process. She was very responsive when messaging. The initial meeting was painless and contract review was very easy to understand. We definitely asked a lot of questions and she was able to answer every single one. On the day of the wedding, she showed up before the set time and was ready to go as soon as we were. She directed the shots in a very fun way and nothing felt forced; it was a genuinely great experience. We also had the pleasure of working with her second shooter, Craig, who was amazing behind the scenes. The two of them worked together flawlessly and it shows in the final result. The sunset was the main character of the night for sure, and she made it pop. The photos speak for themselves!

Even though it was just the two of us, Alayna made the day feel complete, bringing warmth, creativity, and a knack for making everything feel natural and not awkward. Even though I never know what to do with my hands and my husband doesn't love being photographed.

The Best of the Best!
Alayna was the reason why we still had a wedding. With hurricane Helene, our original spot where we were eloping was inaccessible. Alayna kindly set up a time for us to meet with her and allowed us to marry in her beautiful backyard. That is who she is, and it exudes in her photography, as well. I am absolutely impressed by her skill, direction, responsiveness and the love she has for her career.
We love our photos from our wedding day, and received them so much sooner than we had thought!

Alayna was fantastic. Her love of her craft and attention to detail came through clearly. My bride and I had a very private ceremony. She worked with us and gave clear simple to understand instructions for posing. We could not have asked for a better photographer or photography experience. From the first time we met Alayna, we knew she was cool and fun and would do an amazing job on our photographs. She offered an engagement session with the overall wedding package and that was our first view of just how talented she is. Our wedding photos came back so quick! The Most Wonderful Experience
I didn’t hire a photographer for my wedding because of financial reasons and our time was very low-key so we didn’t think we needed one. Alayna just heard through the grapevine that I didn’t have a photographer and offered to come out for free and photograph a few hours of the reception, since the ceremony was private. I gladly excepted her offer and could not have been more delighted with the pictures she got. Now that I’ve seen her work I couldn’t imagine not having pictures of our special day, and we will treasure her beautiful work for our lives. She came, and did not want to be in our way, but simply and clearly took pictures and such a skillful way. We had no idea when she was taking them that they would turn out like this!
What shocks me beyond this is her kindness to do this for us for free. She is a regular at the coffee shop I work at, but did not know me personally. I am so blessed!

Pictures are an important part of a wedding and choosing a photographer can be hard. After seeing Alayna’s work I knew she was the one! Alayna and Craig did a fantastic job with our wedding pictures. They arrived early with tons of ideas. They took and edited over 900 images. I had all of my pictures back within 10 days! Before the night was over Alayna sent us a few edited images already! I can not give this girl enough praise. She is wonderful in every way and extremely talented. My husband and I had a wedding back in September and booked Alayna for both our engagement photos and as our wedding photographer.
Firstly, we were doing most of our planning from out of town and Alayna is extremely organized and was more than accommodating with making sure we chatted “face to face” though face time, Facebook applications, etc which helped all of us get on the same page.
Alayna was also flexible with our in-town, out of town craziness making herself available in our insanely busy schedule. She was always on time and even stayed an extra half an hour at the wedding to make sure she got our (very behind schedule) cake cutting shots.
Not only is she professional and prompt but every photo she took I felt belonged in a gallery. The photos turned out magical and is going to help my husband and I relive the fairy tale in fondness for years to come.
Alayna also posts little teasers on FB if you add her, which I didn’t realize how much I appreciated it until I thought about all my friends that have to wait weeks to get their photos to share/post them. When everything is said and done she sends you a precious box with prints (that are sure to be your favorite photos) and a flashdrive filled with your enchanting night.

When choosing a wedding photographer, all brides ask themselves one main question - Will they be able to capture the essence of my wedding day? Then, that’s usually followed by a bunch more questions, such as, Will they get my good angle? Will they try the photo idea I saw that I really liked but I feel kinda dumb if i ask them to do it? There’s 14 people in my wedding party - can they really make all of us look totally bomb at the same time in multiple poses and pictures???
With Alayna, the answer to all of the above is yes. She was able to capture the love and feelings of our special day absolutely perfectly. She has the precise amount of creativity and patience to create absolutely beautiful photos that will be cherished for a lifetime. She puts her heart and soul into her work and I’m so very glad that we were able to have her as our wedding photographer.

Alayna was wonderful. Her approach to organize the method of taking pictures was excellent. She dealt with the seven children in our wedding very well and got us all to the venue in a timely manner. At the venue we hardly knew she was there and all of our pictures turned out great.

Alayna and her partner did an AWESOME job on our wedding photos. She was a real trooper during the family pictures (sooo many variations) and was patient with our 4 year old running wild. Love the way everything turned out and love the way she packaged everything up for delivery to us. You can tell she really enjoys her job and gets excited over every single shoot and how the photos turn out. Would definitely recommend and will be using her again in the future

My wife and I hired Alayna to take photos of our small, remote wedding in the mountains of Banner Elk, NC and we couldn't be more pleased with the experience or the results! Alayna was quick to respond to any questions or worries my wife had leading up to the big day, she stayed in touch and seemed as excited for it to get here as we were! On the wedding day she was a God send, she was great at setting up the family shots with minimal chaos (tough with multiple kids running amok) and she was a fly on the wall during the reception, catching some really great candids when no one was looking. We are so grateful we chose her for our photos and would hire her again in a heartbeat!

WOW. I cannot begin to explain how awesome it was to work with Alayna and her husband. The pictures and memories they captured have allowed us to relive the most beautiful- and memorable- moments from our wedding day over and over. Alayna has so many wonderful ideas that may sound a little crazy at first, but then she shows you the pictures and you will be blown away. We could not have picked a better photographer for our wedding. Her prices are very reasonable for the type of quality, the attention to detail, and the time they give you. On our actual wedding day, they weren't pushy or bossy and they made sure to get all of the pictures we knew we wanted too. We are so thankful we were able to work with Alayna!!! 10/10!!!!!

I met Alayna at my best friend's wedding as she did their engagement pictures and wedding pictures and fell in love her work! My now fiance and I were talking about getting pictures done and she was the first and only person that came to mind. She was fun and easy to work with and kept our interest at heart. We hired Alayna to be our photographer for our wedding, as part of the package we received an engagement shoot as well. I thought this was great as it gave us a chance to get to know each other before the big day. She showed up early and was full of great ideas the whole time. Alayna Waggoner was so amazing from start to finish! I contacted her after seeing her gorgeous photos on Facebook. She got back to me very quickly. We talked about rates(hers were amazing) and about the wedding! She knew all the right questions to ask which was wonderful because we didn't know what we wanted at all. At that point my partner and I knew we had the right photographer! We kept in contact over the next few months figuring everything out between colours and clothing, which pictures we wanted of the ceremony and of the wedding party. As for the reception we let her have total control and she did a fantastic job. Alayna lives in North Carolina and my spouse and I live in Maryland so the morning of the wedding(3am) she drove all the way to be early enough to help with decorating and take pictures of the rings and clothes and everything before it got busy! She then got some photos of us before the ceremony started. When the ceremony started she swiftly and quietly took all the photos she could. She knew all the marks she needed to hit and we didn't even notice her doing so which is great because I've seen some obnoxious photographers at weddings! Alayna even got several photos of the confetti cannon going off at the end which was great because it scared the heck out of us! She took so many amazing photos and everyone we show them to asked who she is! We couldn't be happier!

My fiancé and I recently had our engagement photos done by Alayna and we are extremely happy with them and our entire experience. Neither of us really feel photogenic and hardly have pictures taken, so we were not sure what to expect.. Alayna helped us feel comfortable even though we felt so awkward at first and captured us perfectly. She did a phenomenal job!!! Alayna gave us a great blend of traditional shots plus ones that were unique to our wedding and did not make me feel like I was looking at "everyone else's wedding photos." I did not want anything crazy and I feel like Alayna accommodated that desire while also working in her own creativity. We got some really nice surprises when we got the photos because I did not know exactly all the details that she captured nor how certain shots would actually look (things are sort of a blur though you know they are happening). Alayna was quick to get our photos to us and also included quite a few black and white and color versions of the same shots, which was really great. She is so easy-going but also helpful in suggesting things that you might not think of yourself, especially when under the stress of planning a wedding and going through the craziness on the big day. Also, she did our engagement photos a few months before our wedding and the experience was fun, which is exactly what I was hoping for! We received some wonderful engagement shots as well.

I would just like to start by saying that I hate having my picture taken. I've never liked photos that others have taken of me because I always feel like I look so...awkward. I was told by a friend to check out Alayana as a possible wedding photographer and, after looking at the friend's sister's wedding photos, my fiancé and I were pretty confident that her style matched what we had envisioned. Upon meeting her, I realized that she might be a touch awkward too (in the absolute best way possible) and this could either be extraordinarily good or horribly disastrous. A long time passed before our engagement shoot and I was pretty nervous that morning. We sort of wandered around the historic train station in our small down town district with Alayana and pretty soon she had a vision and a plan. Before we knew it she was snapping away and giving gentle instruction in a way that made us forget she was even there at times. I was astonished to realize that the first teaser she posted took my breath away. I couldn't wipe the goofy grin off my face because it was just so perfect and GORGEOUS! Now that we've received the rest of the photos from our engagement shoot (only a couple of days later!) I am so very excited for our wedding. I am completely confident that she will do an amazing job at our wedding and it makes me even more excited to marry my best friend, because I don't have to worry about the pictures turning out well. I trust Alayana implicitly and will definitely be contacting her to do more shoots on the future. Thank you so much, from the bottom my heart!

I would recommend Alayna Waggoner Photography to any and all. They did a wonderful job with our pre-wedding pics as well as the wedding day itself. They spend the entire day with us, capturing the pre-ceremony events right thru the reception. They dropped by the house to deliver the pics in person, which is a very nice personal touch. Not only did they focus on the formal wedding party pics, they captured the entire wedding including the guests. Highly recommended!

Working with Alayna Waggoner Photography was an absolutely amazing experience from the booking, engagement pictures, planning and execution of our Big Day! I asked her to capture "memories" & special moments leading up to and during our ceremony -- and did she ever deliver in a BIG, BIG AWESOME WAY!!! Alayna was our dream photographer. While my wife and I wanted high-quality, beautiful memories of our day, we didn't want the photography to become our main focus; we wanted to fully take in all the details of our wedding. Alayna managed to blend these desires perfectly. She kept the photography fairly low-profile so that it wasn't a distraction during the ceremony and didn't take an inordinate amount of time between the ceremony and reception (which was really important to me!), while still taking beautiful, expressive pictures that really capture the mood and events of the day. She really listened to what we wanted, but also offered suggestions when she sensed we were uncertain about details. Her editing is lovely and professional, and she definitely went the extra mile to get them finished much more quickly than we expected. I HIGHLY recommend her!!

I was very blessed to have found Alayna, she helped me out more than I ever expected and went above and beyond. She is a true pleasure to work with, has tons of wonderful ideas, and you can totally tell that she cares for what she's doing and wants you to have the best photos to look back on. Not to mention she had our photos ready the week after the big day. We had a hurricane decide to celebrate with us on the day of our wedding, and we had this awesome idea to take our photos with umbrella's (which turned out amazing!!). I tried finding a clear umbrella EVERYWHERE online, multiple stores, friends, even family and could not find one and here comes Alayna strolling in with 2 of them and one cute little lace one!! She even took the time to make me a wire hanger that says Bride for my wedding dress photos. She is an amazing person and I know I chose the right person for the job. Thank you again Alayna! and keep up the phenomenal work!

Alayna was with us most of the day for our wedding and it was a great experience! She was a pleasure to be around and worked hard the whole time. She even handled my stress-level better than the groom..lol! The pics I've seen are beautiful. She was very responsive during the setup process and her prices cannot be beat. I hope you chose her, you will not be disappointed!

Alayna just did my engagement photos, and she's scheduled to do our wedding as well. After working with her on these pictures, I can hardly wait to see what she does with the wedding! Alayna was fun and relaxing to work with; posing for photographs is NOT something my fiance and I are used to doing, but she really helped make it an enjoyable time. She's also very talented, and our pictures turned out gorgeous: the lighting and posing was perfect. Our engagement pictures are more beautiful than I imagined they could be, and, as I already mentioned, I am so happy she'll be the one capturing our wedding day!

Alayna was more than accomidating for everything we asked, even having our dogs in our engagement pictures!! She gave us the opportunity to fall in love with our wedding all over again when we received our wedding photos, she really is top notch. Also, having her husband as her assistant was a plus, both were such a joy to be around and share our special day with!
