    Perfect dress options for an unconventional wedding

    I went to RSVP Bride and told the team what I was looking for. They immediately pulled three dresses off the rack for me to try that matched the specific criteria I was looking for. I found my dress and walked out with it THAT DAY along with accessories.

    Bought my Wedding Dress here

    Very professional dress store with a great selection of dresses for all sizes. My sales associate, Gina, went above and beyond in helping me find the right fit for my body and listening to what I wanted in a dress. She was patient and was like a friend giving advice. I had so much fun trying dresses on everyone in the store made be feel so important! Thank you Gina for all your assistance!

    Alan evans - a must visit!

    This was my second stop after we were turned away due to there being appointments. Alan Evans has an appointment but told us to stick around, look, and make a list. They continued to engage with us and even pulled one off the rack for me to try while they were waiting for their appointment to come! The attendant was very helpful and gave great suggestions and feedback. I spoke with the owner and he asked me more questions getting a more of a feel of what I was looking for. We ended up going to their other location and were welcomed in and told to grab what we wanted and she would help when we were ready. We had the best time! She was attentive and professional while still seeming like she was one of your best girl friends! I found THE dress there and she went above and beyond her call of duty ensuring I got to leave with my dress as soon as possible! The owner is absolutely incredible! They worked together to get my dress to the store location that was closet to me for convenience and fluidity. I 10/10 recommend seeing these people when looking for your dress and wedding attire. I am absolutely blown away! Thank you!

    My consultant was hilarious, honest, and super knowledgeable of the dresses! In fact, the dress I went home with was the dress she picked out! Now I know why so many people recommend this business!

    I loved shopping at Alan Evans. My sales associate was so helpful. I explained to her the dress I loved at another store and she found a dress similar at Alan Evans that was even more beautiful! She was so kind and patient. They also gave me my dress for 20% off.

    This bridal shop was so adorable! I was amazed at the style of their set up - you could see a huge variety of their dresses and they had a very good selection. The sales lady was very friendly and super helpful! The only sort of downside was the prices of the dresses. But I found the dress I loved there and it was worth the price!

    I went in looking for the dress of my dreams, and Rand helped me find it! The gal that day was extremely helpful and honest. I told Beth and Rand what I was envisioning for my dress and they got it for me! I absolutley recommend them to anyone- they are creative, professional and flexible on payments. Highly, highly recommend!!!

    Awesome experience at the Outlet Store!!!

    I found my dress at the the Alan Evans Bridal Outlet store in Moorhead, and had a great experience. Rand was my consultant and he was absolutely amazing! He took time to help us find dresses I would like, while allowing us to look through the racks and try everything on. He also was super knowledgeable on what fit would look good on me too. We also looked at the main store, but he had it figured out which one was perfect for me before we even went there. I found more options for myself at the outlet, being someone who is cost conscious. They were very good at staying around my budget too. We returned to the outlet and bought my dress. It was super reasonable, and the overall experience was great. Could not be happier and more excited to wear my dress on the big day!!! I would definitely recommend the outlet store if you are budget bride like me, or the main store. Both had a friendly and helpful staff that were polite and kind.

    Bought my dress and veil here. I was absolutely in LOVE with them.
    I would have never picked the dress myself, but the assistant helping us suggested it and it was love at first sight once I tried it on. I couldn't be happier with my dress!

    Not only did I find a great quality dress in my price range, but they stored my dress and veil up until the wedding! Plus, I could do all the alterations and steaming through them.

    I will say that I wish they were more clear about what bills needed to be paid in cash or check only. Tip: bring your check book to every appointment! Fitting, alterations, everything!

    Rand and his team of girls were great to work with. They have a great selection of gowns, and were extremely accommodating, even when I changed my mind about my veil 2 months before my wedding. I would definitely recommend them for any bridal needs.

    They did an amazing job getting me in last minute to try on dresses. I found my dress and bought it that day. A month I came back looking for a new vail. I bought one online and it was horrible. I described my dress to them, it was a newer dress for that season and they worked really hard to figure out my dress, as I didn't have any photos of it.
    Once they figured out my dress they helped me find the perfect vail!

    I bought my dress at Alan Evans and had the alterations done by Holly. The staff was eager to help me the day I came in to look and purchase my dress. There was a large variety of dresses; I was able to try a ton of different styles.
    I bought a dress off the rack and was able to customize it and make it my own. Holly is an amazing seamstress and did a phenomenal job with my dress. She took it from a size 8 to a size 0 with everyhting matching up perfectly. I am very happy I chose my dress at Alan Evans.

    I fell in love with my dress at this facility. A girl did help me try multiple ones on and fill out a card when I picked the one I liked. THe next day, I was back for it because I could not get it out of my head. However, they had lost my card and did not know which dress I picked...I ended up looking for it myself through the whole store. THankfully, I was able to find it. They did help me with putting it on again and were nice about recommendations but did not even offer a picture ( or a sign as the prop) when I said yes. Was a little disappointed, but did like the fact that my dress was one of a kind.

    Simply amazing. These guys were great. I had no clue what I wanted in a dress and after only 3, I had the perfect one. From the first try on to the final fittings, every time I went in there, they made me like I was the only bride.

    I purchased my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses through Alan Evans in Sioux Falls. The girls there were very friendly and helpful when it came to trying on dresses and giving me their full attention, making sure I had everything I needed. I found the perfect dress for a very affordable price. Unfortunately, when we ordered it, I must have been measured wrong because it was very tight when it came in. Because of the timeframe, instead of being able to get a different size, I had to find a seamstress to let out the seams. She did inform me that the quality of the dress was phenomenal, using original wedding lace and very attentive to detail. Overall, I am happy with my dress, I just wish I had gotten a size up like I was supposed to. The bridesmaids dresses were lovely.

    This was the first place I visited to try on dresses, I was shocked that the third dress I tried on was THE ONE! My dress was a dream and it fit perfectly. So comfortable on the day of, and after adding a bustle it was a breeze to dance in! My only complaints were that I had an appointment at 4 PM on a Friday and I felt rushed at the end of my visit to make a decision. I also did not like that I was unable to send photos to my mom who was unable to be with me on this visit and missed out on me picking my dress, however understandable to protect the designs of the dresses. Overall, a positive experience and a good sale that led me to the perfect dress and veil.

    I scheduled an appointment and had no issues. I was able to try on a variety of dresses and bought the perfect dress. Customer service was great for me. The only con was my dress took a month and a half longer than expected to come in but I don't know if this was the stores fault or not.

    Had a great time with Alan Evans trying on dresses, it was my ONE and ONLY stop. The attendant picked out a ton of dresses for me, and I ended up finding one I felt amazing in that was within my budget. Also ordered the bridesmaid dresses through them; although we haven't received them yet the ordering went well except the show room for dresses was a little cluttered.

    We purchased my dress in a single trip. It was the fourth dress I tried on and was one that Rand had picked out for me. You will get best service if you make an appointment ahead of time. You will get even better service if you avoid the busiest times around prom & homecoming. I loved them dearly! Plus, on a big purchase like this, no sales tax is a huge money saver. Not to mention the discount your maids get if they pay thier dress in full within 30 days of you ordering your dress.

    I bought my wedding dress from the Moorhead store. I was very happy with the wide selection. The sales associate I was working with had an attitude. I bought my dress off the rack and paid in cash, so I received 20% off. I had alterations done elsewhere. I'd recommend them over David's bridal for wedding gowns.

    I found a dress that I really liked. I would have however been a bit more satisfied if the employee helping me would have been knowledgeable in foundations to wear under the gown. The dress came in sooner than thought, but they did not schedule the alterations until last minute so there were issues with that and I had to go some where else. Overall I did like the dress but wanted that great experience of finding the perfect one. I had just an ok experience. Thank you for a beautiful dress.

    I am very glad I found my wedding dress at Alan-Evans, mostly because it was exactly what I wanted and I didn't have to pay sales tax because it's in Minnesota. However, if you get anyone other than Rand Evans to help you with your dress choosing, good luck. The girls that work there are rude, unhelpful, and unknowledgable. To one of my bridesmaids who wasn't thorougly enjoying the try-on session she said...You must have ADD...

    They also messed up my pick up date after steaming was done. Luckily I planned to pick it up a week before my wedding so I had some days to spare. Also, if you are into heavily jeweled/decorated dresses, this place is for you. If not, I think I got about one of the only dresses in there that doesn't have beading or sparkles. Something to consider.

    I had an overall good experience with Alan Evans...UNTIL my dress came in. They were much cheaper than some other companies for the same dress and agreed to match a price of another company. They were fun to be around and try on dresses. But after my dress came in, I did kind of feel like they left me out in the cold. I had a number of alterations to do and ended up taking them elsewhere.

    For the shopping experience, I'd definitely recommend them.

    Some Good Some Bad

    I had a mixed bag of experiences at Alan Evans. When I went there and found my dress, I had a wonderful consultant. She really listened to my feedback, and she helped me find a belt to add to my dress to make it just that little bit extra special. I loved my dress and received a thousand compliments on it. I went back with my bridesmaids to get their dresses, and that experience was mixed. We went two times one to try on a lot of dresses and narrow it down a little, and another time to pick our the final bridesmaids dresses. The first appointment the consultant was very helpful, and the second time not so much. We were told poor information on when the dresses would get in which caused a lot of stress. We did get the dresses with plenty of time to get alterations taken care of so everything did work out. I went back one more time with my mom to find a mother of the bride dress. That turned into a disaster. We found a dress she really liked, but the sample was in black. The tag said it was available in silver so the consultant showed us a swatch and we ordered it. The dress arrived and it was light purple. Not remotely silver, and purple is my mom's least favorite color. She was so upset she went and bought a second dress.

    They have a great selection of dresses and the girl I worked with was really helpful. Holly did my alterations and I ended up looking like a square. I made the mistake of assuming that she'd have an eye for making a dress fit to a woman's body. For my final fitting Holly simply said it looked great and then moved on to the other bride.I stood there grabbing the excess material around my midsection and trying to adjust the cup area, which had been altered and was now up to my collarbone. Mind you my dress was supposed to have a deep V neckline. I left my final fitting two weeks before my wedding ready to go elsewhere to buy one off the rack. Luckily I was able to find an amazing seamstress who completely transformed my dress.

    Do not get alterations here!

    I got my dress altered at RSVP and I do not recommend. When I picked up my dress I found a hole, none of the seams were backstitched which is causing the seams all to unravel, my straps that were shortened were cut off but not sewn shut so the filling from inside is falling out, and the thread she used was not even close to the color of my dress or the color of the original thread. Do not get alterations at RSVP

    What I loved was that they were willing to work with me on finding a simple short dress. I ordered a bridesmaid dress for my wedding dress. What I didn't love was some of the employees had less than acceptable customer service skills. One of them, who was there each time I went in, seemed as though she didn't want to be there and that it was an inconvenience to have a conversation. I was also unhappy with the alterations. The darts were uneven and the hemline rippled each time it was pressed or steamed. The owner and original gal that I worked with were very friendly and helpful, though.

    Wedding Veil

    Was very UPSET. They forgot to give me my daughters veil the night before the wedding when I picked up her dress. I contacted the store the morning of her wedding asking if they had her veil that was supposed to be with her dress, I was told by the employee that veil was in the store but I would have to pay $20.00 to have it steamed when it was already paid and expected to be ready when I picked up her dress. I feel that I should not have been charged for a mistake they made. VERY DISAPPOINTED !!!!!

    The dress was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! And whenever I was in store I had good service. However, they either did a poor job measuring my bridesmaids or they just told them to order too large to pay the extra charge because several of their dresses we WAY too big. Also, I was assured that I would receive a call when their dresses came in, but I never got a call. The only reason I knew they were ready was because one of my bridesmaids called them asking about it 2 weeks before my wedding.

    I felt that I was pushed to buy a dress that I wasn't completely sold on. I wanted to try on more with different styles and was told that I wouldn't like it. She was probably trying to be helpful, but why not let me decide?

    I felt left in the dust. I bought my dress and then felt shoved out the door. No one helped with any of the details. My dress was also falling apart on my wedding day. I had a small amount of beading below the bustline and most of them fell off. I would not reccomend them or go back with anyone else.

    Would not go here again

    Arrived for my APPOINTMENT. They were flexible to wait on my girls to show up. I tried on the dresses we picked out and I was planning to try on more, however the lady that was helping me said she was going to put in the dresses I tried on in my acct and then gave me her card. my Made of honor and I went to look for more dresses and the lady as if she could help us find something. We said no we're just looking. She said " you need to have an appointment; the owners don't want people just looking at the dresses. I then proceeded to tell her I did have an appointment as she was the one helping us with the dresses. She then told me my appointment was OVER! I didn't know it was over after she had given me her card! Will never be going there again.

    Alan Evans Bridal was an absolute nightmare to work with. The only good experience that I had with them was when Courtney helped me pick out my bridal gown.
    When picking out bridesmaids dresses, Lexi seemed very annoyed and like she had something better to do the entire time she was helping us. We were told that my sister's dress was in but when we arrived for our appointment to try it on the dress could not be found. After searching for about 20 minutes, they told us that they must have called us by mistake because there was another wedding party that had ordered the same dress and they had meant to call them. About 10 minutes after leaving the store, I got a call saying that the dress had been found and it was actually at their Fargo store. I asked why we had been told an elaborate story about this other wedding party ordering the same dress and the lady I was talking to acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. When we went back in to try it on, it was very clearly at least a size too big for her. I asked the lady helping us what we could do since she had been measured at their store and we had been told if they measured her incorrectly they would bring the dress in free of charge. They said that there wasn't anything wrong with the dress and suggested that my sister had maybe lost some weight over the past 2 months.
    When my husband went in for his groom's fitting nothing that they had ordered for him fit (he had also been measured at the store).
    One of my bridesmaid's dresses had a snag in it that left a line across the entire skirt in the front and when we asked if they could fix it or give us a discount they said no. The dress was also extremely wrinkly and looked like it had been thrown in the back of a closet when we picked it up. Clasps and straps broke on multiple bridesmaid's dresses. My dress was hemmed there & the back was shorter than the front. All around terrible quality for the price we paid.

    Horrid experience buyer beware

    Since they opened their new location- the worst experience I have ever had and now they refuse to “provide any more services to me”because I dared complained about the customer service. Walking into the store no one greeted me, I asked about the appointment and got "yeah someone will be with you. The attendant handed me the clipboard and I filled it out. She didn't look at it or help me pick out dresses. My mom and sister did. I watched other brides get better assistance. I did end up buying my dress and the bridesmaids dresses there. My mom also bought her dress there. I wasn't even offered to take a picture that I had found a dress had to ask for it. We had issues with the bridesmaids dresses not being ordered. Also had issues with wrong measurements. I went to pay for my dress and was told to take it home and no appointment was set up for alterations. When I asked any questions, I was dismissed or not called back. Today when I asked about alterations the manager on the phone was acting very off, said to me "who are you?" "What do you actually need" and then got all huffy at me when asking for my information. I then called back directly to ask for alterations. Later I got a call from the manager saying that we've had too many differences in opinions I was being refused any further service. So that leaves me with no alterations and they said that they could refuse me service even though I bought the dress with them. This all after I spent about 3000 dollars. I asked for an owner to call me back and I doubt the manager passed on that message. Worst customer service I have ever had and I say buyer please beware!

    Wedding dress disaster

    WEDDING DRESS DISASTER
    I purchased my daughter's wedding dress after we had the best time picking it out together. My daughter and I have dreamt of "that moment" since she was a little girl. When we ordered it, the sales associate said that it would arrive about five months later. We went ahead and purchased it, assured that it would come in that amount of time even though we custom ordered the coloring. We revisited the shop to try on the dress with more family and friends, since just my daughter and I went in the first time. When we came back as customers that had already made this big purchase, the manager, who was helping us, was curt and couldn't give us the time of day. My daughter also wanted to confirm when we were in again that the dress was on track to arrive in June. Mandy the manager stated that it was on track to be in during the month of August. We asked why this was pushed back and Mandy told us "it has always been scheduled to arrive in August". This was a blatant lie. Over the course of this purchase, we have caught the staff in several lies, none of which they have taken responsibility for. I would never return to this store for any purchase, and this horrible ordeal has tainted the dress experience for us.

    Owner yelled at my fiance

    I went into Alan Evans with my fiancé to discuss her damaged and significantly late wedding dress with the owners. When we walked in, one owner, Rand, acted as if he had no idea of what we were there for, and then said that he had her dress downstairs on the end of the rack. We asked how he knew which dress since he had just acted like he didn’t know who we were or why we were there. Rand told us countless lies while we were in the store, and when he was caught in them, he blamed the manager, the sales associates, my fiancé, and the manufacturer. He never once apologized or offered to make it right. Him and the other owner, Mark, who was also in, yelled at my fiancé together, saying things like “you just don’t want this dress”, “she doesn’t like the dress”, and “you’re trying to get out of taking this dress”, at which point she started crying. The dress was obviously the wrong color and the detail work on the dress was of poor quality, especially for the price of the gown. My fiancé has raved about this dress for months and has shown pictures of her in it to everyone, and how the owners treated us demolished this experience for her. Toward the end of our conversation, Rand lost his temper and ran into a different room and shouted “we have attorneys too, let’s just do it the ‘bride’s way’”. All we were seeking was to make the situation right, and the two owners refused to give a refund of the deposit. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and now my fiancé and I both feel patently uncomfortable in this horrible establishment.

    Late, wrong color, bad quality dress

    I am not a person easily upset. My experience with the purchase of my wedding dress from this business was beyond appalling. The dress was months late. The bodice was the wrong color. It was damaged, with netting that was unfinished, and edges of the appliques were frayed. Mandy, the manager, refused to do anything when I called over the course of several months. They couldn’t tell me where the dress was made or coming from and couldn’t provide any shipping or tracking information. I purchased the dress on January 6 and it was initially supposed to arrive in June. It came on October 24. Details of the contract were somehow changed without them telling me, and they refused to provide it until I came into the store, and even then they would not provide it without significant resistance. Alan Evans still has my $850 deposit, and they said they would never refund it but “we could do the court thing”. They know I need a dress. They left me an in an extreme time crunch. I went to the store, asked to discuss with the owners, Rand and Mark, and they went ballistic. Eyes wide, yelling, running (literally) in and out of rooms, all the way saying nasty things. In my life, I have never spoken to in a such demeaning way. I was called names, and they said that brides are just “vulnerable, emotional, anxious, and hysterical, and they forget what their dresses look like”. This company should not be in business. Something is really wrong here.

    They were very helpful when it came to finding me a dress and my bridesmaid dresses. But I had to order a dress online and I was told it would be in the third week of October. They told me if I would wait till the following week to order it the dress would arrive the week later. Well the third week of October came and I called there Monday and they said it will be in any day. So I called back wed and the lady said should would call the company and find out when it will be in and call me back. Well she never called. So I called there thursday and they told me next week at the very latest. They could not give me a date when it would be in and they were very rude. I would not reccomend ordering anything from the moorhead store. The girls there are not very helpful after they have recieved your money.

    DO NOT GO TO ALAN EVAN’S BRIDAL FOR ANY PURPOSE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT HOW THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND DO NOT DESERVE TO BE IN THE BUSINESS THEY ARE IN. Save yourselves some heartache Brides. The store in Sioux Falls made mistake after mistake and gave excuse after excuse. I am the Maid of Honor and tried to deal with the situation to take some stress off of the bride. I went all the way to the owner and ended up being told that although everything was late, didn't fit and we had to order more sash which was late and also pay for it, that it wasn't the end of the world because it was 3 weeks before the wedding still, that I was terrible and had been horrible to everyone (apparently by fighting for being treated like a valued customer and not giving up on what you believe is right, that makes you a horrible person) and then she said, "You get what you give. The ribbon is at the store. We didn't get charged enough for it anyway so go there and get it," and she hung up on me.

    The bride has gone through three months of stress because of this store. Don't let it happen to you. Give your business and your hard earned money to someone who cares to have it and will treat you that way before AND AFTER the dress is paid for and the contracts are signed.     While our first initial trip to find my sisters wedding dress was successful, the staff helpful and knowledgeable, that first visit was where it ended. Our next visit for bridesmaid dresses again started out ok but they quickly grew short tempered, inpatient and rude. We were frustrated & had to leave, after time to regroup we went back and placed our order. My sisters future in-laws went to find flower girl dresses & again they were very rude, they left upset and without any outfits. When my sister went in for her alterations the alterations woman was incredibly rude. She made several negative comments about her dress, when she asked questions she was short and said that it was just how it is. Refused to bussel it how she had asked and when she finally gave in it looked poorly done. If you happen to stick around to see her leave you will see her ball up all the wedding dresses she is altering and shove them into her trunk.
    One negative experience I could write off as a bad day but so many is unacceptable. The only food thing about this shop is Rand and his dresses but the experience makes it not worth it. I know I will warn all my friends that are getting married to enjoy this special experience they must avoid Alan Evans
