Look STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL and the way you envisioned yourself to look!!!

I was SO IMPRESSED with my makeup after having Alaina Thomas of Alaina Thomas Makeup Artistry do it, I knew I had to write a review so others could look beautiful on their special day too!!! I googled makeup artists near me, and she was the first one that popped up. I called to see if I could get an appointment. Right away, I was impressed with how kind and professional she was on the phone! She was able to book me an appointment in a very timely manner.
When we started our appointment, the first thing she did was ask me what I (and I emphasize I) wanted for my special day. She wanted to make sure that I would look exactly how I envisioned myself to look! She then had me look at photos of celebrities on the computer asking me what makeup I like on them and what I don’t. I told her I liked a picture of Julianne Hough’s (from Dancing with the Stars and America’s Got Talent) makeup. She then asked me to point out photos of Julianne when I didn’t like the way her makeup was done. Alaina also asked me what kind of look I was personally going for. Did I want a natural look, a bronzed look, etc. She took all of this information and used it to do my makeup exactly the way I wanted. If I suggested something that she knew was not going to be appealing, she kindly suggested how she would do it. I trusted her right away and let her work her magic.
As she did my makeup, she explained EVERYTHING to me so I could continue the look even after my special day. She explained what brushes she used and why. What colors she used and why. How she applied the makeup and why.
Alaina would stop after each step of my makeup application and have me closely look at it in the mirror. She would ask if I liked what she did so far. She wanted to know if I liked the color she chose and if it was the look I was going for. Again, she wanted to make sure that I looked EXACTLY how I envisioned myself to look on my day!
When she was done applying all of my makeup, I was STUNNED!!! I’ve never looked SO GOOD!!! This may sound vain, but I couldn’t stop looking at myself in the mirror because I LOVED the way I looked so much!!!
She told me exactly what brands, colors, brushes, cleaners, etc that she used on me so I could purchase them and continue the look after my special day. She does NOT have you buy overly priced makeup from her. In fact, she does not have you buy any makeup from her. She tells you drugstore makeup to use and high-end products you can use if that is what you want. She also tells you the websites/stores you can purchase them at. I’m on a budget so I appreciate her recommending things that still look FANTASTIC AND I can afford!
If you want to look absolutely gorgeous on your wedding day, then call Alaina of Alaina Thomas Makeup Artistry!!! If you want to have a makeup artist who is kind, professional, and extremely skilled at what she does, call Alaina! I am not the type of person to write reviews, but I was so IMPRESSED with her that I HAD to write this review! I want everyone to be as HAPPY and feel as BEAUTIFUL as I did on my special day! Exquisite Makeup and Stunning Hair

Alaina is amazing! She takes such pride in her work and she is truly an artist. She knows exactly what works for everyone's skin types and finds perfect ways to highlight natural beauty. I booked Alaina hair and makeup for my wedding and she made everyone look amazing. Jojo did everyone's hair and I had a group of bridesmaids that are extremely picky and they all loved everything! These two are a great team and I highly recommend them to anyone! Hair and makeup was high on my list of priorities for my wedding since you have those photos forever and booking Alaina Thomas MUA exceeded my expectations!

Simply amazing

If your looking for someone to be completely flexible and take the time to listen to what you want go with Alaina you won’t regret it. She is absolutely amazing listened to everything I wanted and even changed things I didn’t like at first. She made me feel comfortable and beautiful. I highly recommend her to any bride. And after many tears and long night of dancing my makeup still looked great!!

The best team to help you look beautiful on your wedding day!

I was so happy with the way my hair and makeup turned out with Alaina and her team. Even though I had limited time to do a trial (the wedding was across the country from where I live), she made sure to fit me in. On the wedding day, Alaina was right on time, made all of my bridesmaids and I feel so comfortable, and all of us loved the final result! The makeup lasted well all day as well (even though it was very hot outside). I would recommend Alaina to anyone and everyone!

Perfect and Beautiful

Working with Alaina was awesome. She is so personable and easy going. She did a trial for my wedding makeup that set my mind at ease. If you don't like it, she will listen to exactly what you do like and what you imagine looking like on your wedding day. I have had my makeup done by her for my best friends wedding and my own wedding and would 100% recommend her!

Alaina is an extremely talented makeup artist who did an exceptional job at my wedding!! She really wants you to feel your absolute best on your wedding day, and wants you to feel comfortable and confident in the makeup all night long!! She achieves this by doing her utmost best to understand what you envision for your bridal makeup and is willing to help make adjustments or changes as needed so that you look absolutely gorgeous on your special day. On another note, I can't forget to mention the hairstylist. Jojo is an absolutely skilled hairstylist, who couldn't be a better hairstylist for Alaina!! This team is professional, patient, punctual and personable. All my bridesmaids loved their conversations with them both during their getting ready. Both Alaina and Jojo helped each of my bridesmaids look exactly how they envision for the wedding day. Overall, I highly recommend Alaina Thomas!!!

Miracle worker.

Alaina is absolutely AMAZING. She's friendly and talented. I had her to my hair and makeup for our vow renewal and I was absolutely blown away when I saw the final result. I've never felt beautiful in all my life- It's something I struggle with daily, but Alaina make me look and feel FABULOUS on our special day!

Absolutely amazing!

I can't recommend Alaina enough! She was incredibly responsive and helpful through every step of the process, from booking her to my wedding day. Her makeup skills are spectacular. My wedding makeup was exactly what I wanted. It was flawless and lasted all night long. She did the makeup for a really diverse group of others for the wedding, with different ethnicities, styles, and ages. Every single person was thrilled with their makeup and commented on how amazing she was.

Alaina was truly a dream to work with!! I was IN LOVE with my makeup on my wedding day. She made the whole process so effortless and I really trusted her judgment on what would look the best. It was nice to have to convience of Alaina coming to us while we got ready in the morning so we did not have to rush around. I honestly could not recommend enough!

To say that Alaina was amazing would be an understatement. Not only was she professional, responsive, attentive, and willing to travel to me (Cleveland Ohio)... she was by far the most talented makeup artist this area. I searched for months and months before finally looking outside of Cleveland and she was the best choice! The greatest part about her is that she did my makeup exactly how I wanted (dark and bold) and then did my MILs exactly how she wanted - natural and subtle. She’s extremely verisitle and her talent is well worth the price she charges and her travel expense is very reasonable! Just be prepared to pay in full a month before your wedding.

Again... I look back on my wedding day and see the most beautiful versions of the ladies in my life and that’s thanks to her. She made everyone feel comfortable and confident on my big day. 10/10 would recommend her ladies!

Alaina is phenomenal! She did my makeup for our engagement photos and for our wedding. I’m not from the area, and I was looking for someone who could do our wedding in Erie and do my makeup in my style. Alaina drove to Erie for the wedding and did all of the women’s make up. She is truly talented, an artist and such a joy to work with. Very professional as well. I would highly recommend her.

I can not say enough great things about Alaina and her services! She is SO talented and did my wedding make up exactly the way that I had requested. She traveled to me on my wedding day and replicated a picture of what I wanted so well, being sure that it was exactly what I had pictured. It was flawless, stayed on all day, and looked great in pictures. Not only that- she was super professional, personable, kind, flexible, and responsive! She was such a great addition to my wedding day and I would request her to anyone!

Alaina was amazing. If you’re looking for someone easy to work with, dedicated, and seriously talented, she’s your gal. My makeup for my wedding was everything I imagined it would be. She made my entire bridal party look stunning, tailoring each of their looks to their individuality. I would hire her again for future make up needs without hesitation. A down to earth professional, I can’t say enough about how incredible she and her assistant were for my big day!

Alaina was simply incredible! I booked her over a year in advance for our wedding this past weekend, and her communication has been on point from day one. Prior to our trial, she was always willing to answer my questions or give me advice to help me look my best on the big day. Our trial was so much fun, she really worked with me to develop a look that was perfect for my wedding day (and my many outfit changes since we had two ceremonies). She was gracious when I offered some feedback on changes that I wanted, and on the day of, my makeup was PERFECT! Also, she did an amazing job on my bridesmaids and my mother-in-law. All their makeup looks were different but perfect for their individual tastes. AND, for you brides-to-be of color, we were a group of Indians and Latinas and our makeup enhanced our ethnic skintones. She's great, and her assistant Ashley was fantastic as well! Highly highly recommend!!

Alaina has done my makeup now for three school dances, and I am not one to wear makeup ever the extent of makeup for me is mascara, and that is all. I was very nervous about have a full face of makeup done thinking it would never look good on me and worrying about not feeling confident with it on, but Alaina has out done herself every time. She is extremely nice and asks what you want, and if you are not sure, she works with you to find a look that you are comfortable with and is perfectly fine with taking off any makeup and fixing it if it did not turn out the way you hoped it would look. She makes great conversation and makes sure you're aware of the steps she is taking before she does anything she also cleans her brushes in between clients and uses disposable brushes for mascara to avoid any bacteria transmission. She has never failed to do exceptional work and is someone I will be going to for a very long time to do make up for any future events.

She is AMAZING. Her talent is out of this world, I have never looked so incredible!! Every person she does comes out looking flawless. She also really works with you on the look you’re going for and matches it so wonderfully. Her flexibility is so refreshing. Even though my schedule had been very chaotic, she worked with me patiently to get in and do a trial and make sure I loved everything before the big day. Forget 10/10 I give her a 20/10.

Alaina did the makeup for my wedding on 12/22/17 and it was amazing! She did my makeup, 4 bridesmaids and my mother and we were all so happy with the results. She was very easy to work with and came up with the perfect look for each of us. I received so many compliments on my makeup. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone, you will not be disappointed!

Alaina is truly worthy of MORE than 5 stars in ALL categories!
First and most obvious is her unbelievably amazing makeup artistry skills....I looked EXACTLY how I wanted to look (but even better)....and all of my bridesmaids and my mom looked EXACTLY how they wanted took (but even better)...Alaina never once made any of us feel like we were compromising our individual styles and preferences...she catered to exactly what we all wanted individually and was never once pushy or made any of us feel as if she was just going to do her own thing. Each one of our makeup applications was truly flawless, captured our unique styles, AND stayed on perfectly throughout the entire evening.
Beyond giving us all perfect makeup, Alaina excels at everything else you could want in a vendor as a stressed bride....she was perfectly punctual and I was beyond impressed with her ability to stay on schedule with each person...this is a vendor you will NOT have to worry about at all! Her response time and professionalism throughout the whole process was beyond what I could have expected.
Lastly, she is also simply an absolute delight to be around! You'll probably want to ask her to stay and be a guest at your wedding because she is sweet, fun, calm and makes everyone feel at ease....Her talent is amazing but beyond that, I absolutely loved her vibes as a person and she made those hours before walking down the aisle truly enjoyable!!!

Alaina was absolutely amazing. 100% quality products and appreciated that we did a test run. She did my make up just as I pictured it. All my girls loved their make up as well. I couldn't have been happier! I would recommend Alaina to any bride!

We are so happy we found Alaina! She is so talented and was able to achieve the individual look that each person wanted with no trouble. I have had my makeup done for several weddings in the past and was never as happy with it as I was this time. Not only did she do everyone's makeup to absolute perfection, but she's also fun and personable to talk to! I am just looking for an excuse to hire her again!

I HIGHLY recommend Alaina Thomas. Perfection all the way. She is incredibly talented, patient, kind and professional. Words can’t express how grateful We are. With her help my daughter was able to achieve the look She envisioned for her wedding day. My sister and I received many complements as well. I was told I looked 10 years younger!! She also did two Bridesmaids who are both professional singers and have had their makeup done by other make up artist and said Alaina was by far the best. Her prices are extreamly affordable. Thank you for making us all look so beautiful in our own style. Do yourself a favor and book her now. You won't be disappointed!

Alaina was phenomenal through every step of the process from contract to trial and of course rocking the day of! Alaina is a true artist. Everyone in my bridal party was so impressed and happy with their looks! The weather was brutally hot for my big day and the makeup stayed put the whole time. I had many compliments and can't wait to get my professional photos back. Alaina was easy to work with and tweaked the makeup to fit my style perfectly. Weddings can be stressful and it's nice to know that you can trust a vendor to deliver on what you want. Needless to say, you should definitely book Alaina to do your makeup for your big day or special event - it was definitely one of the best choices I made.

AMAZING makeup artist. Not only is she great at her job but she is also super friendly and great under pressure. Both appointments I scheduled a little to close to the times of my events and she calmly "beat" my face to the gods with time to spare! She even offers great, useful advice and tips for free. Would highly recommend!! She did my graduation party and my actual college graduation makeup and also did my sisters prom makeup.

I booked Alaina to come to my home for a makeup lesson. She was very professional. She taught me the best ways to highlight and contour and use my makeup and brushes to minimalize flaws and make my eyes, lips and cheekbones look great! Alaina recommended some of her favorite products and also showed me how to use them. Loved the look, the lesson and enjoyed the time with her. I booked her several weeks later to do my makeup for New Years Eve. Loved it! I definitely would recommend Alaina to anyone!

Alaina is simply amazing. No other way to put it. She was flexible, fun, quick and the makeup stayed put even after 4 hours of dancing! I cannot say enough about how much I loved the job she did!!!

Alaina is charming and enthusiastic. Not only is she, herself, beautiful but she made everyone in the wedding party look fantistic, without overdoing it. I had never seen the girls look more beautiful. She was fun, very humorous, and easy to get a long with and accommodated our every wish for how we wanted to look.

Alaina has done my event makeup a few times now, and I am always beyond satisfied! She is always super prompt in her responses, willing to work with the client, and so professional with her personality, emails, makeup application, and sanitation. Beautiful Makeup and Hair

Just a wonderful team to work with!! They were able to come to my home the morning of the wedding to complete hair for 8 ladies and makeup for 10. They did an amazing job for everyone, some even want to buy the makeup brands used! They were able to accommodate a range of comfort levels, from wearing no makeup every day to someone who is amazing at self makeup — all loved their day of makeup! My bridal makeup and hair looks fantastic. They made everyone feel relaxed and comfortable!

Hire Alaina! She did a great job on me, the Mother of the Bride, and my daughter, the bride. I had tons of compliments from family members on my makeup at the wedding. My daughter looked so beautiful too! Alaina knows what she is doing, but she is also willing to listen to what the customer wants and is comfortable with. She is pleasant to work with and very calm on the big day. She is the stand out vendor that we worked with on our special day and we were so happy that we hired her to do our makeup. (I really did think about how happy I was that we worked with her). Alaina is very professional in her business and is a great person to be around on a such a special day. The Mother of the Groom and a special Aunt also used Alaina's services and were pleased with her work.

I hired Alaina last minute as a replacement for a makeup artist friend who was supposed to do the makeup for my wedding, but bailed on me last minute. I was so appreciative that Alaina was able to fill in so fast and do such a great job. She was on time and very attentive to each of my bridesmaids and myself. The day was very hectic and she handled the pressure so professionally.
