Wanted to make an honest review. I messaged this company nine months before the wedding. They were very nice and extremely quick with replying to my emails. I quickly signed the contract and paid for the deposit, an additional artist, and an early morning fee. They were accommodating during the months leading up to the wedding with our headcount changes (we ended up having makeup for 7, including the bride). I was told that I could provide pictures of inspiration for my makeup. I would have liked a dramatic makeup look, much like their profile photo. Not typical for a wedding, but it’s my wedding. A few months later they opened their shop and seemed to have gotten busier because the person who I was emailing seemed to have changed. The new person was still nice. I asked her in an email if I needed to bring my own eyelashes. She said I did, that the makeup artists will not provide them. Well, I went out and bought several pairs of eyelashes. The day of the wedding, the two artists came and they showed up 10 minutes late. They barely said hi, but came in and asked where to set up. They seemed frazzled and a bit in a hurry…maybe because they were late. Once set up, everything started out fine. I was last to get my makeup done as the bride. Everyone else’s makeup came out pretty good and they were all happy about it (but that could've been the champagne haha). What upset me was that they came with their own eyelashes, even though I was told I would have to bring my own and therefore wasted $100 on a bunch of lashes. When it came to me, I wanted to use the strip lashes I bought and I wanted to have my eyebrows done. The makeup artist said she didn't really know how to apply strip lashes and she wasn't too sure how to do eyebrows. They did everybody else’s makeup, but when it came to me she forgot the basics?!! She did my makeup, nothing like the dramatic pictures I provided. She kept making my eyebrows lopsided and I had to keep instructing her on what I wanted. Now, lewk… I did not want to be a diva bride because everyone there knows me and things can get sour quick, so I was polite and let it slide. My mother pulled me in the back because she knew I was mad. I was not about to start out the day angry (they started around 7 am), so I just stayed with the makeup she applied which was simple. She told me when they walked in that the other makeup artist had to leave to go to another appointment later. About an hour and a half into the session, the other makeup artists just packed her bags and walked towards the door, didn't even say goodbye. Everybody saw her leaving so they shouted goodbye to her, and she turned around half way out the door and said bye. It was quite rude and if I paid for an additional artist I’d expect they be there the entire time. The other artist stayed behind to finish up. She gave us all touch up kits with lipstick. I should have brought my own to the wedding for touch ups because later that day the lipstick she gave me kept coming off and got all over my husband in the pictures. Thank God the venue had wipes. Overall, I personally would not use this artist again. It seemed like she wanted to go with what she wanted to do instead of the request I had which was for a more dramatic look with heavier eyeshadow and deeper colors. If you want simple makeup, they will be fine because their prices were good. But you will have to be demanding to get what you want. Overall, the service was lacking for me.
