Welcoming. Kind. Professional. Fun. Beautiful venue.

We first met John and Christie at a wedding expo in Portland, OR. They were the only venue at the event who asked us when we (a queer couple) were getting married. All of the other venues asked us which one was getting married. We immediately felt welcomed, safe, and seen by Ainsworth.

The venue cost a bit more than we were personally planning to spend, but after meeting with John and Christie, touring the grounds at Ainsworth, and being assigned an in-house wedding coordinator, we were sold! It's the best decision we made. It set the tone for choosing vendors who we knew would take good care of us on our wedding day.

Jocelyn, the in-house wedding coordinator, exceeded all expectations. She is a force. We met with her at six month out, one month out, and she was there onsite the day of our wedding. She guided us through countless decisions before and during the event. Our guests even commented on how awesome she was.

The venue - whoa! We visited Ainsworth in the middle of winter. We knew if it was that breathtaking in winter, that it was going to be amazing in August. It was. The grounds are meticulously kept and stunning. There are photo opportunities around every corner. We loved that we could get married outside, under the big Oak tree, and hold an indoor (air conditioned) reception.

All in all, we'd do it all over again. Ainsworth House & Gardens is forever a part of our story and we wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you John, Christie, and Jocelyn!

Summer Garden Party

We got married on 6/13/26 and could not have been happier with the venue. It is BEAUTIFUL. All of our guests commented on how it is the perfect location for an outdoor wedding and we couldn't agree more. Laurie, the venue coordinator, was FANTASTIC, we were so lucky to be paired with her.

Such a Fun and Beautiful Wedding!

Ainsworth House and Gardens is an absolutely idyllic venue. Stunning 2 acres of gardens, looked after by an on site groundskeeper. Christie and John were great hosts too, who were enjoying our happiness every time we saw them. Jordyn, the wedding coordinator with Ainsworth, is amazing! She kept us on schedule during all of the planning, giving much needed advice and guidance. And during The Wedding Day, she kept the day flowing without us ever feeling pushed or rushed. Honestly, the whole experience with Ainsworth could not have been better. Thank you all for giving my family a wedding that exceeded all of our expectations. So much fun!

Best Day Ever!

We had our wedding at the Ainsworth House and Gardens 8/16/2025. We can't recommend this venue enough. The grounds, the outdoor ceremony space, and the indoor air-conditioned reception space are beautiful. The owners of the Ainsworth House really make sure the details of your event run smoothly and the day of coordinator Jordyn was a dream to work with. The location and parking make this easy for guests.

We held our ceremony and reception at Ainsworth House and Gardens this past weekend and are still basking in the glow of the beautiful event

Ainsworth House and Gardens was magical. We could not have selected a more wonderful space for my daughter and son-in-law to begin their life together. Our initial tour of the venue took place during the winter so the ceremony exceeded my expectations with the garden being in such bloom.

I am particularly grateful for the help and support of the 'day of' coordinator. She ensured all ran smoothly so we could focus on the joy of the day. The venue owners, John and Christie, were very easy to work with - responsive and helpful through all stages of planning.

We received nothing but compliments from our guests on the beautiful space and the joy that was felt by all present.

LOVED our wedding day! SO happy we married at Ainsworth!

My husband and I got married at Ainsworth on 4/29/23, it was such a beautiful day and I'm so thankful that the folks at Ainsworth worked hard to make it a beautiful day for us to remember. I placed a deposit on this venue back in 2022 and were sold on the natural beauty of the location, history and the kind previous owner Kevin. When I received an email months later informing me that the venue was under new ownership was a little scary to think about, but the communication moving forward was very responsive and polite. I am SO THANKFUL for Joselyn at Ainsworth, not only is she just a bright sunshine of a person, she was incredibly helpful on our wedding day. She was like my fairy bridesmaid! She did an amazing job keeping up with all of my questions along the way with a positive attitude. Thank you Joselyn for saving our first dance as well! She came to the rescue when our dj unfortunately kept cutting our first dance music like 10 seconds into the song 3 times! We had taken private dance lessons for a year to prepare for our first dance, and the dj messed up and I was not impressed, but thankfully Joselyn was able to get our song played over the venue sound system and she saved the day!
The owners and groundskeepers even had new flowers planted the day before our big day. The only minor feedback I'd give is their PA system for the ceremony, it went out and some people couldn't hear me. The officiant said that he has been there over the years and that happens every time he does a wedding there. I know mics can be picky sometimes, and maybe they have upgraded that part after our wedding several months ago. Overall, our experience was great with the folks at Ainsworth from beginning to end, very professional and easy to communicate with. I love our wedding day so much, I am SO happy we got married at Ainsworth, it was the perfect place for us.

Great experience

Was definitely worth the price, the right ideal fot budget wise amd location. Very beautiful place to have a wedding and the reception hall was incredible. Elizabeth, wedding coordinator was very felixble amd extremely patient with Last minute changes. She is very dedicated and very professional.

Fantastic energy!

My husband and I chose them several years ago and were thrilled when they allowed payments and for us to go kind of wild with our theme. They were kind and supportive and so fun to work with.

Perfect and beautiful venue!

If you are looking for a venue near but not in the middle of Portland this venue is your spot! We initially found Ainsworth House & Gardens after narrowing our search down to LGBTQ+ friendly venues and venues that had indoor/outdoor options, since our wedding was during autumn. We had 37 guests and the space was perfect! Everybody complimented the venue and were especially amazed by the beautiful gardens (and the giant tree)! Our ceremony was outside then the reception was held inside. There was plenty of room to get ready and the reception hall is wheel-chair/walker accessible. As an FYI, the dressing rooms are not wheel-chair accessible (but hopefully the downstairs one will be, in the future). The staff are responsive and very helpful. Highly recommend!

Perfect garden setting at an affordable price

Ainsworth House is a hidden gem. The alter and seating shown near the big tree are as beautiful as pictured. And the indoor (air conditioned) reception area has lots of windows and an open feel. There are also several terraces for guests to enjoy. Laurie and her staff are incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the planning process and the big day. So don't be put off by the fact that Ainsworth is about 30 minutes away from downtown Portland. We provided a shuttle from the hotel for our guests, so the transportation was no problem at all -- especially since this venue is more affordable than many of the downtown options.

Awesome venue and people

We looked at several wedding sites, from rustic, to more garden like, and fell in love with Ainsworth House when we saw it. The gardens are gorgeous. The staff helpful and friendly. Jocelyn our wedding planner was SO wonderful! Our wedding went well above and beyond our expectations in every aspect! We wholeheartedly recommend them!!!

Intimate Wedding Venue

If you are looking for an intimate wedding venue then look no further as Kevin, Laurie and team provide a professional and warm experience that you will never forget. The grounds and buildings are beautiful and clean and perfectly set up for our special day. Laurie really made the process easy and fun. All of our guests commented time and time again at how wonderful this venue is and how much fun it was. Their suggested vendors were also great and hit the mark!

One Sunny Day in April

My son got married April 23rd 2022, the most rainy April in history. But the 23rd was sunny and perfect for their outdoor wedding. The Ainsworth House Venue was perfect as well. They went out of their way to make sure the day was perfect. I would highly recommend this venue if you are looking for something unique, special and the perfect memory.

Amazing & so easy to work with!

I just had my wedding here on 11/7/2021 and everything was an absolute dream!

From the beginning stages of planning, to the meetings leading up to the wedding, and then the day of, everything was flawless.

This venue is beautiful and comes with a day of coordinator. Our coordinator was Krystle and she made our day stress free and amazing. She was so kind and kept the show going without any issues.

The people who work here are very responsive to emails, easy to work with, and go above and beyond. They even worked with us when we had to change our date. They could not have been nicer!

I would recommend this venue to any bride and groom who want a beautiful location with people who genuinely care about you and your special day.

Best venue around

Ainsworth House and Gardens is a gorgeous venue with beautiful scenery. What separates this venue from all others is the people who run it. Kevin, Laurie, and Renee were responsive, professional, and fun to work with. They had answers ready to questions I hadn’t considered and were prepared for anything and everything. Pricing for the service they offer is phenomenal and you’ll have a difficult time finding a better deal for such a beautiful location and excellent staff. They handle tablecloths, centerpiece options, clean up, and so much organization. They all worked hard and made my wedding day as low stress as possible so I had very little to worry about. Truly, I can’t recommend Ainsworth enough.

Such a Beautiful Wedding

First of all, when my (now) husband and I toured this venue back in 2018, we fell in love with the gardens. Ainsworth House & Gardens was our dream wedding location (still in love with this venue). Laurie was our wedding coordinator and she was fantastic! She was quick to respond and always had the answers. They were especially helpful when we had to post-pone our wedding date by one year due to COVID-19. Kevin was our Officiant and he did an incredible job, guests are still raving about the ceremony. He was easy to talk to and work with. We highly recommend this venue, you will not be disappointed. We sure weren't!

The perfect wedding...

We had our wedding at Ainsworth House and Gardens in June of this year and couldn’t be more thrilled with how everything turned out. From the moment we toured it with Kevin, we were sold. The grounds are truly beautiful- after visiting several times and having my wedding there, I still don’t feel like I got to see all the wonderful little spots!

Laurie was our wedding planner through the process and I can’t say enough positive things about her. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was stressful and ever-changing, and Laurie was a total Godsend! She answered all my random emails in such detail, always giving me suggestions and reminding me of things I definitely would have forgotten. We met a few times at the venue and I always brought some bridesmaids or family, Laurie was always open to letting me give them a tour and walk around the property after we were done.

The day itself went off perfectly. I never would have even known if something had gone wrong because Laurie would have figured it out! Our guests can’t stop raving about what a perfect wedding it was and how beautiful everything is there. We had Kevin officiate and everyone continues to tell us that it was the best ceremony they have ever been to!! He did a wonderful job of getting to know us and our style and it was truly perfect.

I can’t rave about Ainsworth enough. Give it a tour- you’ll fall in love the second you see that gorgeous Ponderosa tree.

Best Venue Ever!

Hard to put in words our experience with Ainsworth! Exceptional professionalism every step of the way. From the initial venue tour with the Owner, Kevin Yell, we could see the years of care and attention given to the venue's beautiful gardens and buildings. Our wedding package, included a Wedding Coordinator, Laurie Morris, who was priceless helping us through the planning process and the Day of Coordinator. Whether in person or virtual planning meetings, all were on time and helped us work thru details on the wedding day we would have never thought of or been able to take care of ourselves. Laurie managed the wedding day time line as a true professional. She helped make our wedding day perfect! The entire Ainsworth staff comes highly recommended. COVID Brides -- Get Married Here!

My now husband and I planned our 9/3/20 wedding a year and a half in advance and Ainsworth was on our short list. When the pandemic picked up in March, we had already booked Ainsworth but we weren't sure if it was still going to be the right place for us. We initially picked the venue with the idea of having a 70 person wedding. We knocked it down to 10 people max, 12 including the two of us, with masks required. But once we met with Krystle and Kevin in person and toured the grounds and saw what options we had, we found this was THE perfect place. There's SO much room to work with outdoors, there's lots of places to host an intimate wedding, you have so many gorgeous places to have photos taken, and socially distancing your wedding can totally happen but still feel beautiful and intimate. Fellow COVID brides, I cannot emphasize enough how much you should look into booking Ainsworth. Kevin is a lovely gentleman, an utter sweetheart who wants you to have the BEST day ever, especially now in these hard times. Krystle will go BEYOND the call of duty as a day-of coordinator to make sure you are relaxed and have the best day ever too, and she is super responsive. Even if we don't decide on having our "big celebration" next year, I know we plan on doing some sort of future event or vow renewal years later in the future. If you're looking for a place to have a gorgeous wedding where everyone feels safe, has lots of privacy, and all the help you can think of (destination COVID brides, hit this place up too), then this is the venue for you. Much love for Ainsworth!

Beautiful historic venue!

The Ainsworth venue has a comfortable, intimate feel and can work for up to 120 guests. We had approximately 80 and the reception layout was still roomy. The grounds are beautiful and the historic home made for a lovely place to get ready and the photos came out stunning! It was perfect for our Victorian theme. The staff is very accommodating and understanding and they want to make sure you have the wedding you have been dreaming of! We highly recommended Ainsworth!!

Magical, Beautiful, and Perfect!

I can't even begin to express how happy my husband and I are with our choice to have our wedding at Ainsworth House & Gardens. From our very first visit, Kevin had us sold. The grounds are nothing short of magical. I chose their concierge package which came with a wedding planner/day of coordinator. Nancy was my planner/coordinator and I COULD NOT have done this without her. She did all of the vendor contracts and made sure everyone was paid on time. We just had certain payments we made to the venue, then Nancy dolled it out to the vendors. We had to have exchanged close to 200 emails throughout this process and Nancy was ALWAYS so happy to help and easy to work with. She answered all my questions, offered up suggestions based on her expertise, and everything went perfectly. Planning a wedding is freaking STRESSFUL. If it weren't for Nancy, I would have said, "Screw it!" and we would have eloped! Agh... just EVERYTHING! She helped with decorations, choosing a caterer and photographer, a place to have our rehearsal dinner.... Kevin was supposed to be our officiant, but had a family matter come up a few months before. He and Nancy recommended Pastor Mike who ended up being absolutely PERFECT. I'll never be able to fully express my gratitude to Nancy and all of the staff at Ainsworth House. We had around 90 people at the ceremony and about 80 at the reception (no kids) and it was the perfect amount of people for the space. If I could give more stars, I would! DEFINITELY check them out on your search for the perfect wedding venue. I promise you won't be disappointed. THANK YOU AGAIN, AINSWORTH HOUSE!!!!!!!

Magical wedding experience.

Our wedding at the ainsworth house was beautiful and we got so many compliments in the venue. Laurie was our wedding coordinator and she is absolutely amazing. She was so responsive to our every need and incredibly knowledgeable. Our wedding was in March so we ended up getting married indoors and the team at the ainsworth house made the flip for the reception so smooth. I would recommend the ainsworth house to anyone. It was a beautiful and personal experience.

We were blown away by the overall experience working with the Ainsworth House & Gardens staff as well as with the location. The venue itself was exactly what we were looking for in terms of atmosphere, scenery, and overall experience. Nancy and the rest of the staff were nothing but helpful with the run up and during the course of our wedding. As a wedding venue we could not fault anything. We had full use of the house, gardens, and reception house and our guests enjoyed every inch. We had guests from Germany, England, and all over the United States attend our wedding and everyone loved the venue. I have only seen sneak peeks of our photos but the venue is gorgeous from every angle I've seen. The staff is very organized when it comes to the timeline for the day of, and arranging everything you need to make your wedding special. We did use the linens from the venue and they looked great! Another added bonus was Kevin Yell. He was the perfect officiant for our wedding and we loved getting to know him. Thank you Ainsworth crew for everything! Brides I highly recommend this venue.

Prior to coming to Ainsworth House we had toured almost a dozen venues. We couldn't seem to find a place that had everything we wanted, until we found this beautiful property. Not only was the physical venue breathtaking, but the owners and staff were incredible. They were kind, encouraging, supportive and they were a large part of making our special day so incredible. Krystle Allen is amazing! She was patient, yet directive, and so sweet. I would not have survived the chaos without her. Planning a wedding, and then being in a wedding, are such special experiences and there is no other team and no other venue that I would have rather shared this day with. I highly recommend them anyone looking for the perfect wedding day!

Ainsworth House and Gardens was perfect for my wedding ceremony and reception and could not have been happier with choosing to get married here! I loved working with Nancy to plan my big day and she and the owner, Kevin, were very responsive and helpful from Day 1. I loved the historic home and the gardens are so well kept and beautiful! So many areas to take gorgeous wedding photos! The price is very competitive and they do not nickel and dime you for everything like other venues and having Nancy as my coordinator was included! Although I live in Nashville, Nancy made the process very easy and efficient, fitting me in when I was visiting and making sure I was able to get what I needed as I planned from far away. The list of preferred vendors was extremely helpful, but I loved that we were able to ultimately choose who we wanted and Nancy helped facilitate that connection if necessary. For example, I decided to use chairs from another company instead of the chairs at Ainsworth and Nancy helped me price out the best deal! She was very organized and made sure to ask all of the right questions to get even the littlest details nailed down and to make sure I was happy. They also allowed me to bring in all of my personal decor-like cornhole boards and different signs and things and gave suggestions on where to put it all. She was so patient and understanding and I could not have asked for a better venue or coordinator. I received so many compliments on the venue and gardens from our guests and what a great time they had. My wedding day was perfect and that was in large part because of Nancy and the Ainsworth House. I highly recommend them for any special event and I cannot thank them enough for everything!

We had our wedding at Ainsworth House & Gardens the end of April, 2017, and it was an amazing venue in every way! From our very first contact and tour with Kevin, through the planning process and to our wedding day, we felt confident every detail was being carefully and thoughtfully considered. The coordinators, Nancy then Krystle, met with us several times, and were always super responsive anytime we reached out with a question. They helped us keep on track, and helped immensely by making planning suggestions along the way. Kevin officiated for us, and performed a beautiful wedding ceremony that was really meaningful to us, and enjoyable for our guests, too. Krystle and her team were outstanding, making sure things went according to plan, keeping things on schedule, and attending to EVERY little detail so we didn't have to stress about anything. We couldn't have done it without her! We are still thrilled with our experience at Ainsworth House and highly recommend couples check this place out!!! ~Connie & Walt

We truly could not be more satisfied with the service we received or the beauty of the space. From the very beginning, Kevin greeted us with enthusiasm and gave us a thorough tour of the gorgeous house and gardens. Kevin, Nancy, and Renee all responded to our emails promptly as we planned our big day. Not only is the venue competitively priced, but many items were included in the price of the venue that we otherwise would have needed to rent if we had used a different venue (tables and chairs, tablecloths and napkins, centerpiece components, etc.) Kevin provided us with a list of preferred vendors, which was very helpful to have as we researched our options, and we ended up using several of the preferred vendors. Knowing that these vendors already had a positive relationship with the venue and were familiar with the venue's layout and resources was very reassuring. Several guests came up to us during our reception to say how much they loved Ainsworth House. We would recommend the venue without hesitation to anyone planning an event.

I definitely recommend Ainsworth House & Gardens for your wedding or whatever event you are planning. They were wonderful with everything! They helped recommend vendors for my daughter's wedding and for all the little things that we never thought of. They were kind and courteous and helped make this a wonderful spectacular wedding! Hats off to Kevin and Renee for helping make my daughter's wedding a very special day indeed!

My husband and I got married in July 2016 at the Ainsworth House. It was the only venue we toured because we fell in love! Looking back, we're still thrilled with our choice.
The entire team was very welcoming and helpful. Nancy was sweet and patient when working through all the details and provided advice when we needed it. She and her team helped the whole event run smoothly.
The grounds are beautiful. The flowers were in bloom and provided a great backdrop for the ceremony and photos after. They recently redid their ceremony walkway, which made it more accessible for our guests. My groom really enjoyed having the private room to get ready (and the air conditioning). The bride's room was great as well and only having to go down a few steps and straight to the aisle was very convenient.
They were able to provide linens to match our color scheme and also have other table decor and items such as shepherd hooks and easels for use.
Our wedding was perfect we received so many compliments on our venue. Thanks to the Ainsworth team!

This venue is beyond beautiful and Kevin & Nancy were absolutely fantastic!! My husband & I got married in early July 2016 at the Ainsworth house with the ceremony outside under the large tree & the reception in their reception building. The venue does not need many decorations as it is filled with beautiful gardens. We got nothing but compliments on how gorgeous the venue was among the gardens, the grove, & throughout. A few details of the venue: the capacity is 125, there is no cake cutting fee or corkage fee (HUGE savings), and they offer a list of preferred vendors that you may choose from, but do not require you to use them.
Nancy was our coordinator & she was ESSENTIAL to making our day wonderful. She was so incredibly supportive, responsive, kind, patient, & organized. She told me that her job was to make sure that, if anything went wrong the day of the wedding, I had absolutely no idea about it. I knew she was going to be perfect at that moment. Not everything will be perfect on the day of your wedding. Something is bound to not go as planned, whether something small or major. As the bride & groom, after months of planning & organizing (& spending a large sum of money on all the details of a wedding), it is wonderful to be able to truly enjoy your wedding day without the stress of every detail or questions. We loved her!
Kevin was our officiant and was perfect! He officiates at the majority of ceremonies held at the venue, so he is experienced, offering great incite, subtle wit, & a lovely accent :) He is also incredibly kind & considerate! He met us in NYC during his vacation to discuss our ceremony, since we live on the East coast. We loved working with him!

I do not think I can do justice to Ainsworth House and how happy everything was. From our first initial visit with Kevin to our meetings with Nancy everything was just made easy. The grounds are beautiful and the reception area is just has lovely. From the time the wedding started for our daughter and son-in-law everything was done we just got to sit back and relax. I would highly recommend this venue.

Ainsworth House is the perfect venue for a wedding! Not only are the grounds gorgeous, but Kevin and Krystle were extremely helpful throughout the planning process. They have lists for all of their recommended vendors, which made the planning process so much easier. Additionally, they have tables, chairs, linens, and centerpieces that can all be used free of charge. They are very flexible; the day before our wedding, we decided to move the ceremony outside and they had no problem arranging this. Everything was set up perfectly and it was a very low stress day for us. Thank you for helping make our day so special!

We absolutely LOVE Ainsworth House & Gardens. So much so, that when it was time to renew our vows, we just had to come back! Kevin, Nancy & Their entire team are incredible! We had our ceremony AND the reception there and could not be happier with the beautiful accommodations they provided. It is the perfect place for a stunning wedding inside and/or outside in the gardens. Nancy is an onsite wedding planning and excellent at making sure everything runs smoothly. Their additional help staff were top notch too! You definitely get way more than you pay for! LESS WORRIES!!

We just booked this venue for next Sept. When we met with Kevin at the venue, it looked small and we were not sure if it would work for us... But as we got the full view of the place we fell in love! Everything is done so beautifully! He has a list of everything to try to make things easier and cheaper, they have so many things to use for your wedding at it cuts cost, including so very well nice centerpeices. They do set up and clean up, plus you can do outside or inside and the whole venue its yours!

If I could give Kevin and Nancy at Ainsworth House 10 stars, I would. They worked tirelessly to help my reception vision turn into a reality. Nancy responded quickly, making planning with her easy. She helped me maximize the space of the venue in order to enjoy all parts of the garden. She offered invaluable advice about selecting vendors. The reason my wedding was successful was because of the Ainsworth team. Without their planning and genuine interest in my event, it would have flopped! I would recommend them to anyone with a small guest list (the only downside is they accommodate up to 125 guests).

My husband and I had a very hard time finding a venue. We decided on Ainsworth House for several reasons but the main one being the beautiful ponderosa pine on the lawn. We just knew we had to have our wedding here. Kevin gave us our tour in the middle of fall/winter and even then we fell in love. Nancy was amazing for all of our meetings, and even though she could not be there on our big day, Krystle was there and she was incredible! Kevin was our officiant and we got nothing but raves from our guests about how excellent he was and of course we thought so too! I cannot say enough about this place. Ainsworth House & Gardens is the most beautiful venue and I would recommend it to everyone!!

This venue is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. We had our ceremony under the giant pine tree (I am a Montana boy), and the reception was in the reception hall. Having the wedding and reception in the same location made the day much more enjoyable and everyone had a great time. Kevin and Nancy answered every question we had and were so helpful. Our day was stress-free and we had the wedding of our dreams!

Our experience at the Ainsworth House & Gardens was extremely positive. Nancy and Kevin were excellent at explaining everything we needed to do to make our special day run smoothly. Nancy helped us every step of the way. She was unbelievably helpful in the planning process and invaluable during the actual wedding day, taking care of our every need. Kevin officiated our ceremony. He was very professional, charismatic and kind. He discussed every part of the ceremony together with us and let us know everything we needed to do. Both Kevin and Nancy were more than accommodating during the entire process. The venue is absolutely stunning, a picturesque garden and house that is both very charming and classy. As a Caterer in Oregon, we have attended and catered countless weddings, including our own children and family members. We Highly recommend Ainsworth House as Wedding Venue - not only for it's beauty, but our experience Yesterday was outstanding!
It was the most Beautiful & heartfelt Wedding we've ever attended! Pastor Kevin's words were so eloquent and beautiful, encompassing the Bride, Groom & guests in the Spirit of love. The event coordinator, Nancy also was very friendly and professional.

I don't even know where to start! From our very first visit, we fell in love with this venue. Don't let the location fool you, they've created a magical oasis within a neighborhood setting. Between the extensive gardens, historical colonial style house circa 1850, beautiful reception building and the majestic ponderosa pine tree...it was perfect! Nancy was our coordinator, and she was so responsive and helpful during our planning process. Kevin was our officiant, and he owns the property as well. Our wedding day turned out more perfect than we could have imagined. Please do not hesitate to have Kevin perform your ceremony. That was probably the best decision we made. He's so insightful, and truly has a gift that is hard to explain. It was so heartfelt and personalized, and we'll cherish that moment forever. We were blessed with the most perfect weather, complete with white pedals falling from the locust trees. It felt magical. Nancy was right there to direct us, every step of the way and she allowed things to flow seamlessly. Their reputation is top notch for a reason. And so are their recommended vendors! Please don't hesitate to have your special day at this amazing venue.

First, the location is lovely! I was surprised and a little concerned to find it in the center of a nice neighborhood, but once we stepped on the property, it all melted away. Unless you were looking, you didn't notice the houses in the background. They did a great job secluding the venue. We had our reception under the 300+ year old tree in the lawn area and the reception indoors. Second, working with Nancy and Renee was so easy and they helped take away the stress of planning a wedding. We had fewer than 50 people attend, but the venue can hold far more. Both ladies answered all my questions leading up to the big day and were excellent at maintaining our schedule by checking in, shuffling people here and there, and assisting in any way necessary. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change anything. Thank you so much for making my special day so special!

I can't say enough good things about the Ainsworth House. Everyone there is incredibly friendly and helpful. The site is beautiful and everything I had imagined for my wedding day.

Nancy, was the best! She was great to work with and spectacular at keeping things on pace the day of the wedding. She was very helpful leading up to the wedding, always available by e-mail and quick to respond when I had a question.

Held our wedding ceremony at the Ainsworth House and Gardens last week. It was a fabulous venue for both the outside wedding ceremony and the after dinner and dancing. Nancy Shaw was our wedding planner and she was wonderful at keeping us on track without being pushy or too intense. As the night progressed, the different events seemed to flow natually and beautifully. Our guests all said it was a very classy wedding. We held the ceremonly in the outside garden under the old tree. You definitely should get a microphone sound system as we did since the wind would have made it hard to hear. We had 103 guests which was about perfect. The venue can sit 117 but that would have felt crowded since we also had a live band. Also, we held our ceremonly at 4:30 on a friday night which made traffic a nightmare for some of the guests. Also, if you are planning to invite a lot of small children, you might want to find another venue. We changed it to an adult only event followed by a family picnic the next day at Peninsula Park.

I married the love of my life 7/26/2014 at 4pm underneath the beautiful pine tree. Every step taken throughout my wedding planning and organizing was a smooth process thanks to Nancy Shaw the site event coordinator. She was very responsive with every (and there were alot!) email I sent with changes, questions and concerns. She was always reassuring that everything was going to be perfect, which the morning of was everything but! Everything that went wrong had nothing to do with Ainsworth House but as soon as we pulled up to AHG at 3pm all the stress left my body and everything was set up just as I envisioned it with the help and direction of Nancy and her assistant. As for our ceremony, we wanted something that had a bit of tradition mixed with non-tradition and Kevin Yell (owner of AHG) NAILED IT! Our previous meeting with him got us excited, the rehearsal got us stoked but the ceremony had us both floating on clouds. I've already recommended our venue, vendors and Kevin to may people I've talked to these past 10 days of marriage. 75% of the wedding guests came up from San Francisco, CA and they've had nothing but amazing things to say about our wedding. If I could do it all over again I wouldn't change one single thing!

The Ainsworth House & Gardens was the PERFECT place for our wedding!! All of the staff members were amazing every step of the way!! Amy was amazing and made our special day perfect! The grounds are immaculate and the buildings are very well maintained. The tables, linens, center pieces, and staff were perfect! The outdoor area was actually comfortable on one of the hottest days of the year, and all of our guests were very pleased. There is plenty of parking for guests and caterers, and they even provided us with great options for photography, catering, music, etc! I would highly recommend this venue and staff! They're great!!

I can hardly express how impressed I am with Ainsworth House & Gardens. Not only are the grounds GORGEOUS, but both Nancy and Kevin are amazing. Kevin officiated our ceremony and did a beautiful job, bringing both my husband and I to tears. And Nancy, well, I don't know what I would have done without her. She responded quickly to all of my crazy bride emails and she ran the show smoothly and flawlessly on the wedding day. For any brides looking for a beautiful, easy, worry-free venue experience I'd say choose Ainsworth House.

The Ainsworth House and Gardens is THE most AMAZING venue! Kevin, Nancy, and Renee were fabulous to work with. Kevin was our officiant and he did a fabulous job! Everyone enjoyed our ceremony and we had many compliments about how beautiful the grounds were. Many of our guests were from out-of-state and truly enjoyed every inch of the grounds.

I would HIGHLY recommend the Ainsworth House and Gardens. Our wedding went to smoothly and couldn't ask for anything more from them!!

We had the most amazing wedding at the Ainsworth house in March 2014. The venue is so beautiful and gives you an opportunity to have pictures inside and outside in the spring. Ainsworth House and Gardens was a beautiful place to get married. What I found was the services they provided was by far a great deal for the money we spent. All of the staff were prompt at responses, professional, and fun to work with. I used Catering by Laurie off of their list of vendors and was very happy with all of the food, presentation, and service staff. We also chose to use River rock studios as our photographer who also came highly recommended by the staff. I would recommend any new bride to be to look at the Ainsworth House as a venue to host their wedding and consider their vendors who have proven themselves to be of good value, professional, and quality services.

The Ainsworth House was absolutely an amazing place to our wedding and reception. Not only is the venue stunning but the staff are all amazing and everyone of their recommended vendors were not only affordable but professional and fun to work with. Our guests talked about how amazing the wedding was as a whole and my parents said it was money well spent. I do not believe you will find another venue who will work so well to stay in your budget but provide you with 5 star service.

Our daughter lives in Portland, OR. We live in KS. When she and her fiance announced their engagement in late July 2013 with a December 14, 2013 wedding date in Oregon, the search was on. As we reviewed the many wedding venues in the Portland area, Ainsworth House kept rising to the top. Within days I made a phone call. Renee helped get the process started. My daughter and her fiance toured the venue's facilities a few weeks later and were very impressed. As an out of state mother of the bride, I can only give high praise for the 1850's house, the wedding/reception venue, the gorgeous grounds, the wonderful staff, and the great services provided to us.The photos and the information on the website were amazing - but visiting in person 2 1/2 months before the wedding proved that the real thing was even better. The facilities and grounds are wonderful. We worked with several vendors referred by Ainsworth House. They all worked together and the day progressed smoothly. Best of all was having Nancy act as coordinator. She is organized and pays attention to detail. She works well with everyone and manages everything effortlessly. Thank you for a beautiful wedding day! You made planning a wedding from halfway across the country a breeze.

My wife and I celebrated my youngest daughters wedding on October 26 and it was absolutely wonderful. She could have not picked a better venue. She searched all over Oregon and for the most part most venues were so expensive or snobby she could not have seen her wedding anywhere else but the Ainsworth House in Oregon City. My daughter planned the wedding long distance and they were very flexible and understanding. The professional and classy staff and Kevin was the best. He knew just how to perform a wedding. Nancy stayed on top of everything and respected not only the bride and groom but the family as well. I would recommend this place to anyone and rate it 10 plus.

My husband and I got married at the Ainsworth House and Gardens on October 5th 2013. From the moment we walked onto the grounds of Ainsworth House and Gardens we felt at home. The setting at the Ainsworth House was BREATH TAKING! Everywhere you looked you could see the care, love, and attention that this beautiful venue receives from the proprietor Kevin and all the wonderful staff. We first met with Kevin during our tour; he spent well over an hour with us showing us around, answering all our questions, and making us feel at ease. Both my husband and I knew almost immediately that this was the place we wanted to get married. Everything that the Ainsworth House and Garden are told us during our tour they followed through with we got exactly what we expected if not much more! The Ainsworth House and Gardens has a wonderful outline that they use to make sure that all the important details of a wedding day are not forgotten. Everybody that we worked with at the Ainsworth House and Gardens were friendly, kind, and seemed genuinely interested in helping us with what can be an overwhelming process. Nancy, the coordinator at Ainsworth House, was prompt in responding to questions or concerns that we might have. We choose to get married under the giant pine tree that is on their property at sunset and had Kevin preform the ceremony. I have had multiple guests tell me that it was “the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended.” I would highly recommend the Ainsworth House and Gardens to anybody.

I am so glad that we chose to have our wedding at the Ainsworth House & Gardens. Nancy and Kevin did a wonderful job. I have to say that I am honestly surprised by how smoothly everything went. The only downside was the pouring rain but even with that Nancy and Kevin were able to quickly convert the wedding from being out to be indoor instead. Both Nancy and Kevin were very responsive and are very sweet and caring people!
P.S. We used Kevin as our officiant because my husband is also English so we thought it would be nice to bring a little of his culture to our wedding and Kevin did a fabulous job. He was funny and made that time very memorable.

I just got married here on July 28th, 2013, and I couldn't possibly be happier! The venue is gorgeous and has on-site ceremony and reception facilities (which are ADA compliant and was important to me as mom needs a mobility scooter). The old house is beautiful on the inside and out and has dedicated space in it for the groom and bride to prepare that is not only functional but beautiful in photographs. They have their own list of "preferred vendors" but there is no punishment or extra cost for choosing a vendor not on their list. However their list of preferred vendors is fantastic and the people I choose were amazing, high quality, and affordable so please check them out even if you don't get married here! Nancy and Kevin are an absolute delight and are incredibly helpful! Kevin did an amazing job with our ceremony trying to help us create an interfaith ceremony. My guests are still raving about the wonderful, funny, professional, and beautiful job he did as our officiant. Nancy was there to help with every step of the way and did it with grace and professionalism. She helped me plan, was easy to contact for advice or assistance, had honest reviews of vendors, and helped out on the wedding day to coordinate everything. Oh and she did it all with a smile... how she does this after encountering multiple stressed brides is a mystery but she maintains a pleasant, calm, and professional demeanor that made an otherwise stressful planning event feel like it was nothing we couldn't handle together. I didn't have a single problem with this venue in either the planning or day of services. Actually they exceeded my expectations and I am truly impressed with the staff and location. After getting married here, I can't imagine going anywhere else for a wedding because the venue is gorgeous and most importantly the staff care about YOU and work hard to make sure your wedding is exactly what you hope it will be and more!

We had our daughter’s wedding at the Ainsworth House & Gardens on June 29, 2013. It was an outdoor wedding on a beautiful sunny day and we could not be more pleased with how well everything turned out.

Along with this being an absolutely lovely setting for an outdoor wedding with the beautiful old house (built in the 1850’s) and the surrounding flowering gardens, grounds and facilities, Nancy and Kevin are the absolute best. Nancy helped us all along the way with all the planning and organization details and was on top of everything on the big day. She did an excellent job keeping everything on schedule and kept us all on track too, when needed. Kevin was so much fun and performed a wonderful ceremony. The quality of the various preferred vendors they recommended for the food, flowers, cake, photography, music, etc were all quality professionals that they regularly use and were excellent. This saved us a ton of time and greatly reduced our risk exposure to potentially problematic people dropping the ball and causing wedding day disasters (but you can use your own people or do it all yourself if you want).

The day was a busy one but the ceremony and all associated reception activities went off smoothly without a hitch. The wedding was beautiful, everyone had a great time and we all walked away with some wonderful memories captured on film and video that we’ll cherish forever. Thank you so much Nancy and Kevin. You are the best!!

Words cannot describe how wonderful this place is! I had my dream wedding there June 23, 2013. It was a rainy day most of the day until right before my ceremony started and they were able to hurry and have it outside like I really wanted to. It is a beautiful place to have a wedding and the staff is equally amazing and helpful.

I can't say enough about the Ainsworth House & Gardens. Kevin and Nancy helped my husband and I create and experience one of the best days of our lives! Our wedding was intimate, warm, loving, joyous, and carefree. Many of our friends and family said that it was the best wedding that they had been to in years. The staff was responsive, accommodating, kind, thoughtful, warm, and genuine. Nancy helped us plan our day and made sure everything happened like a finely tuned orchestra. I didn't have to do anything except enjoy being a bride. It was a blessing to work with people that we could trust completely. While Kevin is a co-owner of the Ainsworth House & Gardens, he was also our amazing officiant. He helped us create and then performed a beautiful ceremony that was personal to us and that our friends and family loved. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this venue, and the wonderful people that work there, to any couple. If you choose the Ainsworth House & Gardens, you will be in good hands and have a memorable wedding.

The staff is welcoming, professional and helpful, the prices are reasonable and Kevin Yell is simply the most amazing officiant that we or any of our guests have had the pleasure of witnessing. We had our March 2, 2013 wedding at Ainsworth House & Gardens and I cannot say enough good things about both the venue itself and Nancy, the event manager. Nancy walked us through the entire process, ensuring that nothing was forgotten. The venue and reception space turned out beautifully and I cannot wait to see the photos that were taken on the grounds. Our ceremony and reception were held indoors, but I know an outdoor wedding at this venue would be amazing as well!

We had a New Years Day wedding and reception at Ainsworth House and it was a fantastic experience! Kevin and Nancy met with us several times prior to the wedding and saw to it that all the details were well organized in advance, then took care to see to it that everything flowed on the actual day. We didn’t have to worry about anything! Everything was set up, moved around, and taken down/cleaned up behind the scenes with no involvement from us at all. Additionally, we were given a list of trusted vendors who all work together on a regular basis and who did so seamlessly!
The ceremony itself was officiated by Kevin, who did a phenomenal job of giving us options and helping us to blend our different religious backgrounds into a remarkably integrated and spiritual experience, one which we were both very happy with. Moreover, he did an excellent job of guiding me through the parts of the ceremony where I had to actually say something in front of a bunch of people, not an insignificant issue for me. We had many comments about what an inclusive and humorous officiant we had!
With regard to the surroundings, the house and gardens are gorgeous, summer or winter, and the reception area was beautifully decorated. Our guests told us that it was one of the most beautiful and fun weddings they had ever been to! Highly recommend this venue!

Words cannot express how perfect the Ainsworth House facilities and staff are for putting on the perfect wedding. My newly minted husband and I had our ceremony and reception at the Ainsworth House at the end of August, 2012 and it was absolutely wonderful.

We initially picked the Ainsworth house as venue because it housed the right about of guests and was very affordable for the amenities it offered, plus we loved the grounds. We booked the place a year and half before our ceremony, which I suggest as it does book up fast. Also, as we booked so far in advance, we were able to take advantage of a deal offered to early bookers like us that enabled us to get even more bang for our buck, and who doesn't want that?

The staff at Ainsworth house is amazing. During our initial tours of the facilities, Kevin totally sold us on the place with his knowledge of the history of the house as well as his clear investment in making sure the grounds were kept beautiful and every wedding was treated special. Nancy was especially helpful in hammering out all the little details (which 15 days before your ceremony suddenly amount to a huge pile of stuff you hadn't planned on worrying about) as well as being available and flexible the days prior to and the day of the event. Nancy saved the day for us especially when the florist we initially planned on using fell through a month before the wedding (yikes) by recommending another local florist who ended up to be a thousand times better than the original florist. Go Nancy!

All in all, our ceremony and reception were perfect; everything ran smoothly due to the professionalism of the staff. Our guests consistently told us during and after the wedding that they had never been to a more beautiful wedding venue, indoors and out. The amount of services you get for the price is unbeatable. Basically, this place is perfect and you should book it immediately!!

This venue is beyond gorgeous (just go look! You'll fall in love, I promise!) while being very comfortable at the same time. It feels like a professional version of getting married in a family member's backyard. Kevin and Bud are so very kind and we were thrilled to have them be such a crucial part of planning and executing our very special day. The little details are what I'll never forget - Kevin offering me a tissue just as I was to walk down the aisle; and Bud walking by, noticing I was alone at a crucial moment, helping me down the steps and carrying my train across the grass for me. The flexibility that was offered to us was beyond what any other venue could offer. It truly was OUR special day, just the way we wanted it. My only wish was for another hour or two before we had to leave!

We had been looking for a place for sometime when we met with Kevin (the owner). The grounds were beautiful, you weren't forced to use their catering services, and everything was included! Honestly, when it came down to it....we picked the Ainsworth House for a lot of reasons because of Kevin. He was so kind and made you feel at home. And when we had a last minute scare because our best friend couldn't marry us, Kevin (being a Reverend) was more than glad to perform the ceremony for us.

It's so affordable and has so much to offer! They went above and beyond for us!

We met Kevin while looking at his property as a venue. We found a different venue, but had fallen in love with Kevin's personality and professionalism. Yes, marriage is serious business, but says you can't have a few chuckles at your ceremony?

We weren't wanting a very religious ceremony (he will if you like) - actully no religion for us would be best! He helped us make it personal and spritual. Gave us several vows to pick from, prayers to pick from (we chose Apache Indian prayer), ring blessings, and readings. He helped us with having our guests participate in our ceremony with a ring blessing. Without making it corny, he made it personal and interactive with all of our guests.

We received many compliments from our guests on the ceremony and what was said.

We are very glad that Kevin will always be part of our lives from this day forward...

It was a blessing to have Kevin Yell marry us. We met him through his wedding venue at Ainsworth House and immediately knew it was meant to be. He met with Matt and I on multiple occasions to discuss wedding plans, life, and a myriad of other conversational details. Kevin had a wonderful vision of how we wanted our ceremony and gave us many great ideas for twists on traditions. He really made the ceremony memorable for us and (from the comments our guests left) it was just as memorable for them as well. We can't thank him enough for making our wedding ceremony so wonderful.

We had a fantastic experience at Ainsworth House & Gardens for our wedding on Oct 15, 2017! We paid extra for the "concierge service" and Nancy was so helpful. She was able to give us excellent recommendations for local vendors, including our fantastic florist and cake bakery. Nancy was SO helpful on the day of the wedding, and made sure everything ran smoothly. We we lucky that we were able to relax on our wedding day rather than worry about the details. The site and gardens were beautiful, and we were able to borrow some of the decor items from the venue to reduce costs. Everything was perfectly set up when we arrived to get dressed and take pictures. Thank you again to Ainsworth House, and especially Nancy, for allowing us to have a fabulous and low-stress wedding day!
(Note: the cost below included venue charge with concierge service, flowers, catering, bartender, cake, DJ. We paid for photography and alcohol separately. We did not go with the cheapest option for DJ, so could have been less money if we had.)

Kevin was so professional and friendly. He took us on a tour TWICE and was very informative with answering all of our questions but also giving us suggestions. He was so helpful and the space is beautiful!

We got married at Ainsworth House & Gardens last month and we had such a wonderful experience! Nancy was a wonderful coordinator and was always quick to respond to my many questions during the planning process. She was also very helpful in providing advice and suggestions on what worked best. We were very concerned about the weather the day of, but the staff knew exactly how to prepare for inclement weather and were very on top of it (we ended up lucking out and had blue skies). Ainsworth House was very flexible and accommodating with us. The staff seemed to genuinely care about making our wedding a success. Kevin was wonderful to work with as well... he even held my hand and escorted me to the ceremony space, which was such a nice personal touch. I have zero complaints. The only slight difficulty we had was understanding the package--it was a little confusing to understand what was included at first (specifically the catering credit piece), but that was soon clarified. Still a very good value! Thank you Ainsworth for giving us such a beautiful wedding!

A beautiful venue that is a hidden gem

Ainsworth House: This is a beautiful location within a neighborhood, but don't let that turn you away. The site itself is a natural and private setting that made for incredibly beautiful photos. The venue coordinators were very responsive, and we were able to get a viewing quickly with follow up information. We write this review in the times of COVID with the caveat that this was new for the venue as well. At the start, they were communicative about changes, however as things developed we would have appreciated more updates. Laurie, the wedding coordinator that was provided by the venue, was immensely helpful in organizing and directing us in things we needed for the wedding. The venue was well prepared for COVID-19 restrictions, clean wedding rooms and facilities for guests. Overall, our wedding was impacted by COVID-19, but Ainsworth House and team worked to help make sure we still had an amazing and beautiful day.

We made the right choice!! ⭐️💙

We could not have chosen a better venue for our special day! The weather was perfect, the entire venue was gorgeous! There were butterflies everywhere and the sun was shining! Krystle was AMAZING! We could not have asked for a better wedding coordinator! She made sure everything was perfect the day of and took away all my stresses! I felt like she was a part of our family on our big day 💙. She was super responsive and timely ANYTIME I had, even just the smallest question. She kept everything organized and everyone on task. And she took the time to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it and it was beautiful. The house was perfect for getting ready with my girls and had some great spots for pictures too! Ainsworth house was definitely the best choice for our wedding!
