Aimee is absolutely incredible! Look no further and book her for your wedding/special event! She recently did my hair and makeup for my October 2018 wedding and I loved what she did! I had 7 bridesmaids and everyone looked AMAZING! She makes you feel so comfortable and is extremely skilled! Booking Aimee will be one of your best decisions for your wedding! She is really good at listening to her brides and accommodating whatever look they want for their big day. Love Aimee and cannot say enough good things about her and her team!

I knew I wanted to book Aimee ever since she did a friend's wedding. Her and her bridesmaids don't usually wear make up but Aimee brought out their natural looks without making them look like clowns.

Aimee was very professional and responsive to my inquiries. In preparation for the trial, she asked for photos of what I looked like without make up, my ideas, and example photos from my photographer. All of this showed that she paid special attention and customized for every bride. I highly recommend the trial!

I went for a romantic vintage look with a strong red lipstick. Aimee had a lot of fun with this and she was more than encouraging of this bold look. In fact, she talked about how a lot of brides play it safe, but Aimee is able to do bold looks and still make people look like themselves. I am Asian and Aimee is great with Asian skintones and hair.

On the day of, Aimee made sure to refer to pictures she took from the trial and not just try to recall from memory. I received a lot of compliments from my guests about me and my bridesmaids.

While you may be thinking that Aimee is a bit pricier than others MUAs, please remember that you get what you pay for. You won't regret looking fabulous in pictures. Book early - she gets very busy! The only drawback was that one of her assistants came late, maybe due to some miscommunication.

I love Aimee!! She's so sweet and talented! I learned about her after reading a wedding magazine that featured her as a make-up artist. I fell in love with her work because she's able to make a bride look glamorous yet natural. She's very approachable, professional, and responsive.

I had a trial make-up session with her months before the wedding, and prior to our meeting, she asked me to send her a photo of me without and with make-up as well as photos of hair and make-up that I wanted for the wedding. She wanted to be prepared when she met with me so that our time would be efficient. I loved how I looked from our session, and she took photos from that day so she could remember how I wanted to look that day.

On the day of the wedding, she showed up early to ensure that I would be ready in time for the photographers' arrival. She was also very flexible and helped do my mom's make-up last minute. My mom wanted to do her own make-up but I insisted she got professional help after seeing her the night prior at my rehearsal dinner. My mom ended up loving the make-up Aimee did for her as well. I also had my bridesmaids hair done, so Aimee had an assistant to help with them. Everything turned out just the way I wanted, and I felt beautiful on my wedding day. :)

I was so lucky to be have Aimee as my MUA!

Aimee was so sweet and so talented. She is detail- oriented and very organized. She kept her station very clean and was really professional at all times.

On top of all these great qualities, Aimee is absolutely amazing. I'm not used to wearing makeup and Aimee really made me feel comfortable all day long while all my guests complimented how great I looked yet true to myself. She is so positive at all times and generous. It was an absolute pleasure to work with her and I could not be happier that I found her as my makeup artist.

Both Aimee and Demi helped to make my wedding perfect. They also fitted my mom in for hair last minute when I only scheduled my mom for makeup- so thankful for that! Book Aimee if you can, you will be beyond satisfied!

Professional, intuitative, trust worthy and a very skilled artist!

I am based in Australia and was getting married on Phu Quoc Island off the coast of Vietnam. The one thing I wanted for my very casual wedding was to have my hair and make-up done professionally. Like all girls I wanted to look and feel special on my wedding day,

I had done numerous internet searches and was getting really concerned, traditionally Vietnamese wedding make-up is very heavy and that doesn't suit my fair European inherited skin.

I stumbled across Aimee on her website, and thank goodness I did!

We obviously couldn't have a trial as I was in Australia, Aimee was in America and we wouldn't meet until Phu Quoc Island, and of course I wondered if transferring $$ to an unknown person was wise...would she even turn up? I definietly just had to hope it would all turn out OK.

I should not have worried. Not only did Aimee turn up, but she did an amazing job, nailing what was the best look for me and controlling my crazy frizzy hair in extremely humid conditions. She also managed to make myself and my twin sister look different (a big call) and put my mother at ease who is not one to normally wear makeup let alone have anyone make her up.

Aimee was an absolute delight. Not only did she style my hair and makeup, but she also went above and beyond and helped us find a photographer as we were having difficulties organsiing this from Australia and knowing who to trust.

Our wedding day, our photos and the many compliments I got wouldn't have been a reality without her!

Aimee did a wonderful job for my hairdo & makeup for my recent wedding photo shoot on 5/3/2012 at Monterey Peninsula!

Two days before we meeting each other for the first time on 5/3, Aimee asked me to send her a photo of myself (with/without makeup), the desired hairstyle and makeup, as well as the outfits that I'm planning to wear on the day of photo shoot.

On the day of coverage, I wore a purple strapless dress to her studio which located in Milpitas. She applied the foundation using the airbrush technique which had created a truly flawless look. I was amazed when I saw myself in the mirror!

Based on my previous experiences with other makeup artists, I told Aimee to put more blush on the cheeks because it will fade away quickly throughout the day. I'm so glad that Aimee listened to my need :)

Aimee is also very talented in photography. She takes her own photo for her models. Hence, she knows what makeup will suit you and look good in the pictures!

I had a great and satisfied experience with Aimee for her professionalism and passion towards what she is doing. I would definitely recommend Aimee to my friends who are going to have their civil ceremony this year :D

Aimee Lam is fantastic at what she does! I asked her to do my hair and makeup absolutely loved it. The hair was stunning and my makeup was flawless! It was more than I could have asked for, and I will definitely ask Aimee to do my hair and makeup again for any other formal event. Ladies, you will not be disappointed, she is absolutely amazing!

Aimee was simply AWESOME!!! She was professional, attentive, and I really admired her passion for her work. She was very personable and took time to know your needs/ personalities were accounted for (of course, she will be honest with you). I received tons of compliments on my makeup and hair throughout the whole wedding and was glad that I had selected to work with Aimee. simply perfect. i always knew that aimee is amazing. lets just say.... at the end of day at 2am, my bridesmaids and i still look AWAKE. while we were saying to each other "i'm so freaking tired", i would look at their face and think "wow, great makeup. not a bit smudged or worn-looking".

she did my hair and i was told that my hair looks "done", yet not rigid - more natural-looking. she's great.

i know you may be thinking.... oh dear, she's a little on the expensive side and i can probably find cheaper.

but you know what? your photographer's photoshop can't make your eyes so magical and your blush look so well blended. he/she might be able to get out the eyeliner smudges, but its unlikely that they'll add perfect eyeliner to each photo!!!! your lumpy curls or flat hair cannot be fixed by a photographer.

and by the way, my hair's curls LASTED the whole day, even at 2am the same day. she was done at 11am and our wedding day ended at 2am. that's 14 hours of perfect curls.

splurge on your hair and makeup. your photos will remind you that the money is well spent.

Aimee is amazing!!! She is talented, professional and is the nicest person. I had the pleasure of having my makeup and hair done for my wedding - along with my mother and my matron of honor.

I felt sooo beautiful on my wedding day - and I received so many compliments! My makeup looked natural, and showed up great on the pictures. My hair looked great too - and it stayed perfect all day! I didn't even have to adjust 1 bobby pin... and I have a lot of hair. During the trial, she took her time to figure out what would work best for me. I typically do not wear much make up and I was worried that it would feel heavy, so she suggested air brushing and it was great - didn't even feel like i had any makeup on!!! She took some pictures of me after the makeover and she sent them to me the next day.

Aimee always responds to emails promptly and she follows up on everything. For someone who is a borderline type A personality like myself, it was just a relief to find someone who is so reliable. I also had a lot of unexpected last minute changes (adding people, requesting earlier times, etc...) which added a lot more pressure on her - but she just told me not to worry and figured everything out for me. She arrived early on the actual wedding day and she came very prepared - she took a lot of notes during my trial and brought the notes and the picture from the trial with her.

On top of all this, she is an awesome person - as soon as I met her, I felt really comfortable with her. I wasn't nervous at all on the wedding day because she was so calm. Thank you so much Aimee!!!

aimee lam is a diamond in the rough in the bay area. the pictures on her website don't do her work justice. aimee is extremely talented and really understands the face. she has a very acute sense of detail and is keen on doing what works for your face and features to create the most flattering look for you, unlike many trials i had been to in which the artist was just applying makeup to my face without really considering my face shape, cheekbones, the distance of my eyes etc., and just applying colors. after a session with her, you realize that aimee has studied make-up artistry extensively and really knows what she's doing. aimee is also extremely accommodating and very eager to listen to you and i felt so comfortable with her, which is exactly what you want on your wedding day - someone you can entrust with one of the most important days of your life.

i would say that i am very particular and have very high standards when it comes to make-up. my makeup ended up being perfect. she was able to create a look that was soft and natural in person, but still photographed well. LOVED HER!

Of all the vendors I had for my wedding, Aimee Lam is one of the best that I had no regret hiring. She arrived on time on the day off and did makeup for me and my mother. Hair and Makeup you can trust!

I found Aimee through a combination of social media and recommendation from an old colleague. Her prices, while on the higher end, were still within reason and competitive with the rates I received from other vendors. Since hair and makeup plays such a big role on the wedding day, we felt that this would be well worth it given Aimee's body of work, and the fact that we would be booking the team for myself, my bridesmaids, and our Moms.

The package I booked included a hair and makeup trial with Aimee. I told Aimee I wanted to look like myself, but a more done up and glamorous version. I had had some bad experiences at makeup counters previously who didn't know how to do makeup for Asian eyes. Aimee ended up doing eyeliner, false lashes, and eyeshadow - things that I feel never look good on me, but somehow Aimee made it look so natural and beautiful in test photos! I only wish I was paying more attention to what she was doing.

What I appreciated most about Aimee was her demeanor. Planning a wedding, and especially the wedding day itself, can be extremely stressful and chaotic. Aimee was very calm and relaxing. She really put me at ease and gave me a moment to sit in the hair and makeup chair and just breathe and take it all in. While she was still socializing, she was very focused and respectful of our timelines to make sure that everyone's look could be completed to their satisfaction and with time to spare for photos. Demi and Grace were also so patient and kind with juggling my bridesmaids' and Moms' preferences. Everyone ended up looking so beautiful! Even though I was emotional and it was particularly windy during the ceremony, my makeup didn't run and my curls and half-up/half-down hairstyle stayed in place.

It can be so difficult trusting strangers with such an important life event, but I am so glad that I ended up booking Aimee. I felt like my most beautiful self on my wedding day and can only hope that every bride can feel as comfortable as I did in my own skin.

I engaged with a handful of different makeup artists for my wedding celebrations and Aimee was, by far, my absolute favorite. She’s really fun, sweet, friendly, professional, and personable. She’s not just a makeup/hair artist. She’s a passionate one and her work truly speaks volumes to that. She has an eye for such detail, even the tiniest little ones, that you KNOW she wants you to not only look your best and also FEEL your best and that’s so crucial on the big day.

Sometimes the email responses are a little slow but with a follow up, there is always a response. When she’s in the room with you doing a trial or your day of, she is there 110% which is more than respectable. She’s always on time if not early. Was never late and that’s a quality I really value (especially on such important days!). My makeup and hair were flawless on the day of, seriously. After 10+ hours of wear including some perspiration due to the warm weather, all the hugs and kisses and guests literally putting their face to mine, everything still looked PERFECT! Not joking. So many guests asked me who had done my makeup and hair. Aimee is the best. I wish I could have another wedding but only so that I could have her do my makeup and hair again, haha!

Also, don’t be turned off by her pricing. At first, I was like “this is way too much, I’d never spend this much..” but Aimee is more than worth it. I’ve now tried a handful of other makeup artists in addition to Aimee and can confidently recommend you NOT waste your time with other trials (they do add up!) and if Aimee’s style is what you’re looking for, just book a trial with her already! Trust me. You won’t regret it!

Aimee is a great person to work with. She's soft-spoken, but she offers great ideas and recommendations for hair and makeup. Her recommendations start before the trial. She teaches you how to take care of your skin and she offers recommendations on what makeup to use regularly too. She is very familiar with Asian skin and does a great job, which was what I was looking for. She's also very responsive towards the style I wanted. At first I was shy with all the colors and Aimee respected that, but when I said I wanted some more color so I didn't look so washed out, Aimee added more color to my look without making me look "over done." It was just the right amount. I love that Aimee can judge what was "just right" for me!
She works with an assistant, but Aimee does all the makeup and my hair. Her assistant helped her with the bridesmaids' hair only. She was fairly efficient. She took ~4hours to complete our looks (4 girls total). She's so easy going and easy to get along with! The results are really worth it!
