I am the owner of A Private Estate Events a wedding venue in Germantown NY. Yesterday Ailish Florist, also located in Germantown NY, provided the flowers for our wedding couple. As a former florist and lifelong gardener I was impressed with the quality and variety of the flowers Elizabeth selected. I was able to speak at length with her today when she returned to pick up her flower vessels. I learned she sources most of her flowers locally. I had no idea how many different varieties are grown within reach of our venue. Her taste is exquisite and her skill remarkable. She worked with several very fragile flowers such as violas and geums and they looked perfect. If you are looking to support local small floral growers pick Ailish Floral. Not only will you have wonderful long lasting flowers but you are going to have beautiful arrangements too. -

A gifted florist with an incredible eye
I truly cannot recommend working with Elizabeth and Ailish Floral enough. She took the mood board my husband and I laid out and what we were envisioning and created something even better than we could have possibly imagined! We are so grateful to have partnered with Ailish and are so unbelievably pleased with the final result. Our flowers were ten times lusher than I had expected (the floral arch was absolutely breathtaking) and people could not stop talking about the beautiful tablescapes. Not to mention – Ailish focuses on using in season flowers, reuses the glassware from arrangements, and composts everything after the event. The focus on sustainability made us feel even more like we had chosen a partner that understood the vision for the day we were trying to create. Elizabeth’s creativity is truly a gift and I wholeheartedly recommend hiring her for making any special occasion beautiful! -

Worth every penny to hire an actual artist
I never thought about flowers much before my wedding. In all honesty, I was thinking “how can I get flowers at a reasonable rate to fill my tables?”
And now, after my wedding day and the flower arrangements that Ailish Floral had delivered, I am now a fully converted Flower Person.
Elizabeth was one of the only florist I reached out to that was willing to work within my budget. Even though we went above my original budget (only after I had requested to order ceremony decor with extra room in my overall wedding budget), she was upfront, realistic, and very understanding of what we were working with. When she initially spoke to me, she asked if I liked these washes of color, and I truthfully did and didn’t think I could afford it. After seeing the flowers delivered to me, I would’ve guessed I had paid twice the amount I did for flowers. The flowers were the perfect color I didn't know I needed.
Elizabeth is an actual ARTIST. I’ve never seen such beautiful flowers in my entire life. After requesting a ceremony piece so close to the wedding, all I gave her was a rough sketch of an idea, and her team built the most beautiful piece I’d ever seen. Blossoming cherry branches! When my bouquet was delivered to me, I didn’t even go to grab it immediately because I was thinking, “I can’t possibly be allowed to hold something that beautiful.” I almost cried when I had to part with my bouquet. Thankfully I’m getting the flowers pressed and preserved so I can have them forever.
Some people actually thought the ceremony decor and floral centerpieces were fake, not because they looked anything other than real, they just couldn’t understand how we had gotten such beautiful flowers in March. I truly don’t understand either. They had also brought flowers to place on my cake. I could cry about it to this day.
If you need a florist, Ailish is the way to go! -

Oh my goodness I honestly do not know where to begin. Elizabeth is the best thing that has happened to the Hudson Valley & Catskills when it comes to the floral industry, she is not only incredibly talented she is a gem of a person. Of course it is important to create gorgeous arrangements but she also takes it a step further with her mission of sustainability when it comes to supporting local farmers and artisans. Honestly if there was such a thing as a fairy floral god sister..she would be mine because I am completely obsessed with her style and magic.
I first would like to mention I contacted her only 10 days before the execution date..you know COVID bride style living on the edge! haha I sent her some ideas and color scheme inspiration and then I had her completely take over from there. Honestly one of the best things I did is give Elizabeth 100% creative freedom. That is something that it not easy for my type A personality to do ;) , but it was the best thing that happened to us both and I am so glad I put my trust in her!!
Not only did she deliver- she completely
blew our mind. It’s like she knew me better than myself, so so incredible. The beautiful late July seasoned table adorned with peaches, baby tomatoes and dahlias. A dog collar and flower crown made with strawflowers in the most beautiful colors of peach yellows white and light orange. A gorgeous bouquet that was just the perfect size for my petite self and beautiful pressed flowers on our mini wedding cakes. Last but not least- the show stopper- the SURPRISE arbor that my husband had her make for me ... I.AM.STILL.IN.AWE.OF HOW INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL THIS WAS!!
I can’t even put into words how thankful we are that we were able to work with Elizabeth. She made our celebration feel like a true representation of us as a couple and went above and beyond to create a wedding out of our wildest dreams. To say I am obsessed with Ailish Floral is an understatement!! -

Gorgeous flowers and amazing designer!
Working with Elizabeth was amazing! She created the most memorable arrangements for our wedding - they perfectly captured our vision for that day, and the flowers were gorgeous. Elizabeth was wonderful throughout the entire process - guiding us through options, making creative suggestions, and keeping our style and budget top of mind. She was responsive and professional and overall a joy to work with! -

Elizabeth is wonderful to work with! She is so talented and works with you to make your floral dreams come true! The flowers were one of my favorite parts of my wedding - she did an amazing job. Elizabeth is also very communicative, organized and kind. She was hands down my favorite, most reliable wedding vendor. I highly recommend her for any wedding or event! -

HIRE AILISH!
I wanted to start my review out with a no brainer caption: HIRE AILISH. I have organized many couples with the perfect florals for their wedding day for over 10 years. Now, it was my turn to find a florist for my wedding.
I met Elizabeth, the owner of Ailish, for the first time at a micro-wedding in the middle of Pandemic 2020. She was setting up florals for a couple who went through the crazy Corona-Bride Mind Maze. This couple ended with, we just want to get married this year, we don’t care if we have to stick with under 25 guests, mask up the full time and have hand sanitizer as favors. I was setting up with Canvas Weddings, when I met this beautiful soul, Elizabeth. I felt a connection that day and knew it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
Fast forward to one month later, my fiancé and I decided we wanted to get married in 4 weeks. I emailed Elizabeth and she got back to us right away asking for a call to hear more about our vision. Our call was so perfect. I felt so comfortable talking to her. I know pretty florals, but I don’t know the different types, so she really made me feel at ease. I shared a few pictures I liked, but there were two ‘must have’ for the BIG day: a big bouquet for me and a necklace for my baby Bernese Mountain Dog (okay, she is three and not a baby, but she will always be my big-little toddler).
She sent me a proposal by the end of the day of our first call. Again, being in the business, when a vendor says they will send you something by the end of the day, sometimes that means end of the week. I was not expecting a proposal by the end of the day, but when I did get it, my smile lit up from ear to ear and my eyes were so wide, my now husband was like, “Calm down you are scaring me.”
Anyway, she nailed it. The proposal included a vision board, itemized pricing and options to work with if we wanted to make changes. What completely sealed the deal was when I got to the line item of the necklace for my Kaia, it said, ‘Fit for a Queen.’ Clearly she knew the way to my heart.
Wedding day, I was completely blown away. The tables were everything we imagined and more. She even added a food element of concord grapes to the tables. This was perfect for being at a winery, my husband the chef AND our signature drink had concord grape juice in it! When I saw the bouquet, I had the creepy ear to ear smile and wide open eyes again, this time with me holding back tears of excitement. She absolutely nailed everything we talked about as I knew she would because she made us feel so comfortable from start to finish. So please, HIRE AILISH NOW. You will be so happy you did! -
