We are so grateful that we chose Afton Alps as the setting for our wedding reception! The location was serene and unique – we received many compliments on how great of a location it was. The staff was very helpful and flexible to make sure that our day went just the way we envisioned. The food was great too! Thank you, Ryan & staff for all that you did to make our day perfect!

We are so happy that we chose Afton Alps as our reception venue for our wedding. The location and scenery are so unique and beautiful and provides amazing pictures. The food was incredible and we received tons of compliments from our guests, and the service was great. The manager and chef were very accommodating with answering all of our questions and providing the best and most professional service. We would definitely recommend this venue if you are looking for beautiful scenery and great food and service.

Afton was a wondering place to have our wedding. Scott and Ryan work hard at what they do and it really shows through their flexibility and high customer service.

everyone at Afton was very accommodating and were willing to work with any changes with the menu I wanted. they are very lenient with decorating as long as you do not damage the venue you can basically do what ever. They were great!

The team at Afton Alps was truly a blessing for my event. Scott and Ryan are amazing to work with . They both were so helpful & open to our schedule. As an Event planner , I will be providing information to my clients on Afton. I will be looking forward to meeting with a client and this team again hopefully in the near future. I would recommend the Paul's room and this entire venue and staff to anyone. MORE THEN 5 STARS!!!!

It was wonderful having our reception at Afton Alps!! They were so flexible with our planning and it turned out perfect! They had a great food tasting evening where you are able to taste all of the different food options! The staff was attentive and prompt and our night went on without a hitch!! :)

We had both the ceremony and reception at paul's pub and the alps chalet. the staff went above and beyond. They were supper flexible, allowing us to come in on friday and set up and pick up our decorations on Sunday. Food was served buffet style & hot and tasty all the way through.

Afton Alps was extremely easy to work with, very reasonably priced, and did a fantastic job at my wedding. Any questions that I had were answered in an incredibly professional and quick manner, and they aim to please. We were able to try several entrees at a tasting. The day before the wedding, they opened everything up and made themselves available as we set up and decorated, and we were allowed to decorate with as many candles and lights as we wanted. Brendon, the caterer worked with us to provide a fantastic meal in our budget. The buffet was amazing and the food we delicious. We had so many people complimenting how beautiful the views were and how good the food tasted. We were allowed to bring in our own wine and got charged less than a usual corkage fee for having twist cap bottles instead of corks, and they even served the wine for us for no extra charge! We also were allowed to bring in a cake from any outside baker. I loved the freedom that they gave us to really make our reception unique and fitting for us. I have no complaints about my experience and I would recommend this caterer and this location to anyone looking for a fantastic, reasonably priced place to hold a wedding reception.

Afton was beautiful, the food was great, and the staff unbelievably flexible. We were able to come in and decorate Friday, and clean up in Sunday. They put all of our things on two tables, making cleanup a breeze. We had a beef tenderloin carving station, and they allowed us to bring in our own boxed wine, as well as a special toast liquor in honor of my late father in law.

Ryan and Scott make everything smooth, albeit a little hard to get a hold of them sometimes. Then again, I'm a control freak-and they were very calming.

Afton Alps provided an amazing service for myself and my fiance! While their main thing is skiing in the winter and golf in the summer, their main ski chalet in the summer is gorgeous! You feel like your venue is a destination or a retreat, much different than your average clubhouse or hotel ballroom! Their large windows look out on green and fall foliage and you have access to the grounds, we were even allowed to bring hammerschlagen! The room dresses up really nicely, but if you chose to leave it as is it is more rustic, but still a great place! We had draping and chair covers and it really transformed the place! It is a little harder to hear back from them, but you have to remember weddings and events are not their only responsibility. Shelly, the manager, is absolutely amazing to work with and her staff is excellent and friendly!

Cost wise, this place is unbeatable! Coming from a 6-10 wedding/year attendee and an employee of a golf course that does weddings, you cannot beat this food! I have never heard so many wonderful compliments and the price was ridiculous for the amount of food we recieved! They even allowed us to have 3 entrees for the same price as one!

They are also very flexible and not your average cookie-cutter wedding. They truly want to make sure your day is for you and will work with you to accomplish almost everything. Shelly's patience was so truly appreciated, especially as we got closer to the day of and I became more and more of a brideszilla!

The team at Afton Alps was amazing to work with and helped us have what many friends and family described as "the most fun wedding I've ever been to". Don't let their prices fool you, their food is top notch. Everyone was raving about it. Afton provides an honest value and an openness and willingness to work with you to make sure your day is the dream day you're looking forward to. The only area that I feel they could improve on is communication. Sometimes emails weren't answered for a few days. Of course the answers came eventually, just slightly delayed. I would recommend Afton to anyone and everyone. Friends of ours are getting married next year and they have a budget twice the size of ours. Even if we had the budget they have, we would still chose Afton. And my last bit of testimony, this is the groom writing in. You know they have to do a great job if the groom is writing in and praising the team at Afton.

Afton Alps was a STUNNING setting for our wedding! We had the reception outside at one of their designated ceremony locations that had electric hook up for the DJ. The Reception was at the highland chalet which was absolutely perfect for our 100 guest wedding! It was the perfect size to not feel like we didn't fill the space but it could easily fit more people as well. Not too much decor was needed as the place was already beautiful with large wood rafters and a nice grey color on the walls. Service the day of was the absolutely best, everyone went above and beyond and couldn't have been nicer. Plus, compared to many places in the twin cities, the place was A STEAL! They only book one wedding a weekend so you get 2 days to set up and the full day after the wedding to take down. Talk about a stress reliever and money saver when you can do so much yourself instead of begging family or highering a service to set up when you're aloud on your venue the MORNING of your wedding and need to have everything taken down before midnight. None of our guests felt rushed to leave or kicked out because we could just head out instead of start taking tables and chairs down while guests were still in them. Overall GREAT wedding venue!

The price of the Highland Chalet was unbeatable and we had the venue for the whole weekend so we were able to set up and take down on different days. It was difficult to get in contact with people that ran the sights and catering at times though, and we had to jump to different people to find answers to some of our questions. It was difficult to find a place to do our ceremony on sight, but they had a great place for the reception. They had mentioned we could use the speakers at one point but we soon realized that wasn't an option because it was only hooked up to radio. They also didn't rent out chairs for the ceremony so there are a few things you have to fend for yourself on. But aside from a few bumps we were happy with the price and casual reception feeling the place gave us.
