I could write a book about how much I love the Addy Sea! We had our wedding here in October 2025, and it was literally a dream weekend from start to finish. Addy Sea is a unique wedding venue and perfect for anyone looking for a more intimate feel, but with all the amenities of any other traditional venue. First of all, the location is AMAZING. Addy Sea is right in the heart of Bethany Beach, with its own private beach access, and adjacent to a very convenient public parking lot. Being from Pittsburgh, PA, we called our wedding a 'do-able destination' wedding, and we had about 100 friends and family travel in for the weekend. Addy Sea is first and foremost a bed and breakfast, so in order to host a wedding on the property, you will need to book our all the rooms. This made for the perfect weekend-long experience with our closest friends and family all in one place. The service was amazing and I cannot say enough great things about the staff!! Both throughout the weekend staffing the bed and breakfast, and during the wedding itself, they were all helpful, kind, professional, and The rooms are beautiful and each uniquely decorated. The guest house was the perfect place for our bridal party to get ready and spend time together throughout the weekend, and Addy Sea even brought full service hot breakfast to us while we got our hair and makeup done! The views are beyond stunning. The chef was amazing and they have SO many options to customize your menu. The lawn overlooking the beach is a magical place to get married. I was initially a little bit worried that it was going to feel cramped, as we were on the higher end of the wedding size that the venue can accommodate, but it felt perfect! I cannot recommend their event planner, Katie Duke, enough. She basically ran the entire weekend and made sure every single aspect went smoothly. If you are thinking about getting married in coastal Delaware, PLEASE visit Addy Sea and you will be blown away.

My wife and I couldn’t be more happy with our wedding venue, The Addy Sea Historic Oceanfront Inn! Katie is amazing to work with, Justin is a fantastic chef, Andrew is great, and the staff who work there are kind and accommodating. Our guests all felt the warm welcome from the moment they arrived, as did we! We highly recommend the Addy Sea!! It’s a gorgeous venue!

We went during off season and had the whole guest house to ourselves. The memories (and the views!!) were unforgettable! The staff was also amazing!

The Addy Sea was everything we wanted and more for our wedding weekend. It was the perfect combination of “backyard” meets “beach” wedding in a picturesque setting just over the dune. It was so unique and beautiful. We loved that we could have our guests stay at the inn and surrounding beach houses, extending the celebrations all weekend.

Kate was absolutely amazing in coordinating our wedding and making our dreams come true. The food was delicious (so many compliments from guests) and the cake as well (both were included). Everyone was so generous and accommodating all weekend. We are so grateful to have found this venue and would highly recommend it to everyone.

No words can describe how pleased we were with the beautiful wedding we had at Addy Sea. Every detail was taken care of for me. The food was amazing. It was absolutely my dream wedding!

We had our wedding here on October 13th, 2018. It was beautiful. The Addy Sea staff and Debbie Wayland made everything so easy. Not only did we get an absolutely beautiful place to have our wedding, as had our loved ones staying with us at the Addy Sea (and breakfast!!) but our experience planning it was unmatched. The staff was not only extremely helpful and professional, but they were so kind. The vendors they include seamlessly made everything happen. Special shoutout to the florist Debbie Bussard of Visual Presentations, her work was stunning. The food and menu options were wonderful- we worked one on one with the talented chef, and received many compliments on the food. As a bride, I was endlessly stressed out, but I was amazed at how wonderfully things came together. While I got ready in the beautiful parlor with my bridesmaids and sipped champagne, the wonderful staff and vendors set up my dream wedding. We could not have asked for a more beautiful ocean front setting for our wedding, or more helpful people to make it happen.

Quality of Service: I originally had Maggie as my coordinator but unfortunately due to health issues the torch was passed to Sherene and Tiffany. I was so pleased with how much they both did for me! On their dime they invited my Groom and I to stay at Addy Sea for a night just to meet in person. Very organized and friendly! Rehearsal Dinner night they both were present and set my mind at ease with helping me create a timeline. They also allowed us to have dinner delivered to us. It was like the bed and breakfast was our house for the weekend....that happens to have an oceanfront view/right on the beach! Wedding day Sherene made me feel at ease. She had all decor set up, communicated well with the other vendors (HUGE Stress-relief there!) All I had to worry about was getting ready (which was very memorable and fun with my bridal party-we took up the whole third floor with the best views as the groomsmen remained on the 2nd floor.) The morning after the wedding, Sherene was present already putting away my personal decor for me. She packed it up all ready for me to take to my vehicle.

Responsiveness-Very attentive to my emails/phone calls. Never had to wait over a day to hear back from Sherene!

Professionalism-Quality of Service speaks for itself!

Value-Addy Sea was worth EVERY penny! My wedding was in May (rates go up mid summer.) Unfortunately the rainy weather meant I had to rent a back up tent. Do not let the possibility of rainy weather scare you from booking this venue! The back up tent is beautiful and had the capabilities to pull back the transparent siding to allow you to have the full beach experience. At night the siding was great to block the wind and cool air!

Flexibility-I really wanted a dance floor instead of dancing on the grass. The large wrap around porch made for a great dance floor with enough room for my 80 guests and the DJ. So much fun!!

If you want a unique/beach front wedding, look No Further!

The Addy Sea is a fantastic place to have a wedding. The setting is amazing and the staff very friendly and helpful. Special shout outs for the food, Jason is an amazing chef and I can't tell you how many people RAVED about the food. Nic was super helpful in getting things ready the day of the wedding, giving suggestions but always insisting, "its your wedding, do what makes you happy". We had so much fun, from getting ready to dancing the night away. Tiffany and Maggie could not have been more accomodating, or reassuring. They work with vendors that take care of everything so you don't have to. It was the perfect place for our big day!

Where can I even begin....the Addy Sea was amazing. My husband and I live in DC, but I am originally from Salisbury, MD. I was determined to get married in my home town but finding a place to have the reception for 120 people was ridiculously difficult. My husband's parents have a house in Bethany and when he and I was dating we would always walk past the Addy Sea and talk about how we thought it would be perfect for our wedding one day. Luckily when the time came they had our date available and they basically planned the wedding for me! Such a relief since I was going to be planning long distance! They included the flowers, cake, catering, alcohol, tables, chairs, linens, and so much more in their wedding package! All I really had to worry about was the ceremony, my dress, and the DJ! The vendors that the Addy Sea uses for everything were amazing! My cake was so delicious and so beautiful, the tent we had was fantastic, the food was incredibly delicious for dinner and of course the atmosphere couldn't be better. My whole wedding party stayed at the Addy Sea for the weekend and it made the wedding feel more like a weekend affair rather than a four hour fête. Maggie (essentially your personal wedding planner!) was so wonderful at helping me with all the details and even encouraged us to stay a night at the Addy Sea on the house just to get the feel for the lovely Victorian home. What amazed me the most is that there were so many things that I wanted for decorations at my wedding that I personally didn't have time to set up and Maggie and her team managed to get all of them set up beautifully with only minimal (if any) direction from me! Everything was so beautiful and so well taken care of. I couldn't recommend a more beautiful setting to have a wedding. Thank you so much to everyone there! You really made our wedding weekend so special!

There couldn't have been a better place to have our wedding! Included in the package is the property with 13 bedrooms, catering, alcohol, flowers, and cake, wedding coordinator, and taxes...just a simple flat fee. All you have to do is find a DJ and photographer! We were sooo lucky to discover this gem. You can customize your menu and our food was amazing! Best crab cakes I've ever had. We rented to house next door so we pretty much had two properties to hang out at for days. You can't find a better value. Best day of our life.

This is the perfect wedding venue if you want an intimate and charming wedding. When you get married here you have the entire place to yourself, including the guest rooms, so you can turn a one-day wedding into a beautiful beach weekend for your closest family and friends. The food was FANTASTIC and Maggie and Tiffany were so helpful throughout the process.
