Both organized & fun!
We worked with Acorn Studios for our wedding in August 2018, it was smooth sailing the entire time. Kacey has a fun energy, is well organized and a strong communicator. Kacey Baxter at Acorn Studios provided the photography for my wedding last July, and I can't say enough good things about her! Kacey had the class and composure required to transition from a more conservative Church setting to the laid-back atmosphere of a backyard reception. We moved along without delaying the celebration too much, and she had a great way of respecting and honoring all of the important people while keeping us from getting too far behind schedule when the ceremony went a little long. She was open to all our ideas: we suggested a big group picture in the driveway on a whim, and she immediately grabbed a ladder (despite her general discomfort with ladders) and rolled with it! She had a great artistic eye that added to each picture in an unforgettable way. Her assistant was equally helpful, and they both blended into the crowd seamlessly to capture candid shots of the beloved people in our lives. Kacey was absolutely fantastic as a person, too. She clearly loves what she does, and we are a couple of introverts who appreciated her approachable and friendly demeanor. Kacey was AMAZING!! She showed up with a HUGE smile on her face and threw herself in the middle of the action. She wasn't bossy, let me bridesmaids give her photo shoot ideas, made sure we had all the necessary pictures for the day, and was SUPER flexible on the schedule for the day. She was NEVER stressed, never acted like we were wasting time on her clock, and gave us a very polite reminder as we approached the end of our evening, but offered to stay longer if we wanted. From our first meeting with her, she was nothing but wonderful. Our friends had referred us after she shot their wedding, and we thought she was out of our price range. But she worked with us on our timeline, and helped us realize she wasn't going to overcharge us for time we didn't need. She was great at communicating up to the event, we received all our online photos the week after, and the USB will be in the mail shortly!! She is seriously INCREDIBLE!! The pictures turned out BETTER THAN I EVEN IMAGINED! But I NEVER doubted they wouldn't. I would refer her without ANY hesitation!!Kacey was AMAZING!! March 28, 2015: With a large wedding of 200 guests, Kacey managed to make everyone she photographed feel comfortable and look perfect. She has a great eye for capturing the real beauty in every experience. She managed to photograph memories of our wedding day that I would have never even noticed and now we have treasured memories to carry with us forever as a married couple. Thank you, Kacey! You really turned my wedding fantasy into a beautiful, picture-perfect day!!

After meeting up with several different photographers, we decided to work with Acorn Studios and Kacey. Not only did she provide a very relaxed first time meeting, but also provided a free half hour photo session. She was very professional with her ability to open us up to being comfortable around having our photographs taken.
Leading up to the actual wedding day she was very open to communication and was prompt in replying to any email communications that we sent. She was also very helpful with a pre-ceremony meeting and discussing the actual "day of".
The day of she was prompt, very friendly with all the guests and knew how to "read the room". Her guidance also helped the overall flow of the ceremony and reception after.
I would highly recommend her and Acorn Studios to anyone looking for a professional with an affordable assortment of choices for what you are looking for in a wedding. Her ability to be open to the guests, promptness of communication, and professionalism really showed.

Kacey Baxter was fabulous! From our first meeting when I explained that I just wanted a few hours of basic pictures of my wedding to the last picture she took before she left the reception. She is fun, creative, very reasonably priced and extremely easy to work with. We just received our proofs today, and we are very pleased. Kacey was easy going and receptive to my wishes. I had communicated with several other high priced "stuffy" photographers that wanted to do everything their way. Kacey definitely catered to my timeline, budget and picture requests - adding in some of her own suggestions and creativity. I definitely recommend her!Kacey Baxter was fabulous!
