Abigail was one of the first wedding vendors we booked and I'm so glad we did! She was a dream to work with, just the kindest person and a consummate professional as well. She talked us through the process and made us feel comfortable with everything. Most importantly, Abigail is a true artist and that really comes out through her work. Her style of photography is so emotional, nostalgic, and just plain cool. I am still obsessed with our wedding photos 6 months later. Thanks so much Abigail! -

We cannot recommend Abigail enough!! We booked Abigail for our engagement photos and our wedding, and her photos have been such a gift to look back on both our engagement & our big day. She was so helpful leading up to the wedding with thoughtful questions and words of encouragement, and was incredibly thorough in preparing for the wedding. On our wedding day, Abigail was professional and organized, and she helped our most camera-shy family and friends feel themselves in every photo. Abigail helped capture moments, and images that will last through generations. If there's one photo I would show my hypothetical grandchildren 50+ years from now, it will be one of her's. Abigail makes everything seem easy, not like a chore. She allows you and your partner to have your intimate moments, and she is there to help curate those. I highly recommend working with Abigail. Our engagement session with Abigail was something I'd characterize as simply a walk with a friend. I'm historically incapable of relaxing in front of a camera but I and my fiance were absolutely and immediately at ease. We all laughed until our faces and sides ached such that my fiance and I regretted not asking Abigail to stay for dinner after the session. But the results! Oh, how quickly the gallery arrived in my inbox and how perfectly the pictures captured our love.
There was a scheduling kerfuffle for myriad reasons that were all my own doing but Abigail adapted and accommodated every change with grace, humor, and professionalism.
We are thrilled to have had Abigail behind the camera for our engagement pictures and gleefully await her return for our wedding, next November. -

I first heard of Abigail through a friend. When I checked out her work I instantly fell in love with her dreamy aesthetic. Every photo she takes is artfully arranged and evokes emotion. I was thrilled when I found out she was available for our wedding. Working with Abigail was as amazing as her photography. She was quick to respond to emails, incredibly detail oriented, kind, supportive, thoughtful, helpful and one of the most genuine human beings I've ever met. Working with Abigail was an actual dream! I’ve followed Abigail’s work for a long time, & I knew more than anything, I wanted her to capture our wedding day when the time came because everything she produces is beautiful. She was the most wonderful vendor we had at our wedding - our favorite for sure! She is kind, organized, intentional, calm, caring, perceptive, & timely. In our wedding day photos, not only did she capture the important moments, but she captured real feelings. Not only did she makes sure we got the shots we wanted, but she captured so many more special shots that we didn’t even know we wanted. Incredible photos and an incredible friend!
We have had the pleasure of working with Abigail for both our engagement photos and our elopement this past year. When our plans changed due to COVID-19, we couldn't imagine having anyone but Abigail capture both the elopement and the larger celebration this summer. Throughout our wedding day, Abigail helped us navigate the freezing rain with umbrellas, hand warmers, and warm smiles. The photos that we received capture the joy that we felt on our wedding day, and I can't wait to have these photos forever.
Abigail is always on-time, communicative, and friendly. We connected on lots of shared interests, which made our sessions even more fun. I would highly recommend Abigail for all of your important occasions. You definitely won't be disappointed! -

Abigail gave us everything we wanted out of our engagement photos and more. We didn't have too much direction for her and not only did she capture INCREDIBLE photos for us, but we had the best time doing it. After chatting with her, she came to us with the concept for a fire and drinks in the snow - and the shots she captured are the most personal and "us" engagement photos we could've imagined. For anyone looking for photos that feel personal, not overly stiff and formal, you should look no further than Abigail. (Also, she was up for getting our insane puppy in the pics and made it all look effortless!) -

Stunning photos
I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Abigail. Not only did she deliver so many stunning photographs of our engagement shoot last year and our wedding this October, she was also such a joy to work with during the entire process. Abigail is so incredibly sweet, talented and professional. She made my husband and me feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Her husband joined her as a second shooter on our wedding day, they worked so well together ensuring that all of the photos we wanted were taken. I was fully confident that Abigail would deliver amazing photos, but she absolutely went above and beyond anything we could have imagined. We have looked through our photo gallery several times now, every single time I do I am brought to tears. Our pictures are truly magical, they are so raw and full of emotion, we will cherish them forever. Friends and family who we have shared the photos with are so impressed with them as well. Abigail is exceptional!
This review is long overdue but goodness, where do I even start. Abigail is an absolute treasure. I can only imagine how stressful it must be to navigate being a professional photographer amidst a pandemic, maintaining a business while respecting a huge array of client sensitivities and preferences. She has done it all with the utmost professionalism, care, and talent.
My partner and I postponed our big bash until 2021 but decided to have a small ceremony with family at my childhood home in Vermont. It was so hard to make the decision to postpone, but Abigail was flexible, empathetic and enthusiastic about our new ideas. She helped turn what was once an incredibly hard and distressing decision into one of our most favorite memories. Abigail captured our intimate ceremony exquisitely and I'll treasure these photos forever. I gifted my grandmother a collection of the photos for Christmas and she called them a work of art (they are!) : )
I cannot wait to work with Abigail again as we look ahead to holding our big bash in 2021! -

The most important vendor you'll book!
Working with Abigail Grey Photography was a dream come true - this was the very first vendor we hired, mere weeks after getting engaged. Wedding photography is a saturated market but Abigail stands out because of the creativity, thoughtfulness, and passion clearly seen in her photos. It's difficult to express how thrilled we were to work with her, but I will try to categorize my favorite aspects below:
*Professionalism* Throughout the entire process (>1 year), Abigail was timely, organized, and committed. She regularly sent us updates and promptly answered any requests, and even put in extra care and attention to detail by helping us to craft the perfect schedule for our day. She asked questions ahead of time that made the event run smoothly, understanding upfront what pictures were most important to us, what our family dynamics were, etc. This made the day so stress-free, because we knew that she was fully prepared and we did not have to worry about a thing.
*Quality* Photography services are expensive for a reason - this is NOT an area where you should be looking for a "deal" in my opinion. The quality of services we received was well worth the investment. We were provided high-resolution flawlessly-edited previews within days of the event, and several weeks later we received an online gallery with hundreds of breath-takingly beautiful images. I cannot stop looking at them. We can't help but imagine how our children and grandchildren are going to one day look at these photographs and be able to truly feel the atmosphere of our wedding, because Abigail perfectly captured the essence of our day! Her photos are absolutely timeless.
*Creativity* One of our favorite things about this vendor is her vision. She captured moments that we didn't even realize were special - such as grabbing a sweet photo of us on a mid-reception Zoom call with our family and friends who couldn't attend due to our COVID downsizing. Our wedding location was pretty, but she made it look even more elegant and sophisticated by choosing the perfect spots and angles. She really knows how to reflect the emotion of a day and draw out the details that you might not have noticed at the time.
*Personality* This made a huge difference. Abigail is just a joy to spend time with, and if you are shy/awkward in front of a camera, this is who you want around. She made us feel so comfortable with her calming presence, and her expertise will put your anxieties to rest. I was worried about knowing where to look or how to pose, but she somehow encourages you to be authentic and genuine in a way that you inherently look "photogenic" because you're so unapologetically yourself.
Overall, I am so happy with our experience booking this vendor. Would highly recommend this company to anyone searching!!! -

Above and beyond!
As an artist and photographer myself, finding the perfect person to capture our special day was one of the most important wedding planning decisions I would make. Abigail was the first and only photographer I reached out to because as soon as we spoke I knew that she was the perfect fit for us. The photos on her website and instagram speak for themselves, and Abigail is enthusiastic and professional while being simultaneously laid back and easy going.
Abigail came up to Montreal to visit back in February to take some engagement photos in our home and she instantly made us feel at ease. While I am used to being on the other side of the camera, being photographed by Abigail truly felt like hanging out with a friend.
Our plans changed quite a few times as 2020 changed our 120 person event in Vermont in May to a 20 person event in the Hudson Valley in September. Making sure that Abigail would be available through all of the twists and turns became an absolute priority. Her availability became the driving factor in choosing a new date. She was so supportive and encouraging throughout all of the uncertainty. Her flexibility and kindness were refreshing and reassuring as we navigated pandemic wedding planning.
Working with Abigail felt so natural and I could not be happier with how all of our photos turned out. She is incredibly talented and find myself repeatedly scrolling through the gallery and getting lost in the magic of the day! -

Fall Foilage engagement shoot
Abigail was a pleasure to work with!! We scheduled an engagement shoot during a road trip of Vermont and she was so flexible and accommodating with our schedule and trip itinerary. Abigail took the time to scout perfect locations and even used her professional judgement to scratch the plan and shoot on a whim because of better lighting and background, and these are some of the best shots! Her attention to detail, direction, and comfort level are all reasons we loved working with her. She even gave us local goodies (ciders and donuts) and suggested several great spots for our trip. She was the best and love having these pictures to remember our trip! -

Abigail was an incredibly important part of our wedding day. We eloped - with no guests - so each and every vendor mattered so much. Abigail is just incredible! She did not just capture our elopement day in all its beauty and honesty, but she also magically made it more special.
Abigail really made an effort to get to know us, and instead of having a random person at our intimate elopement we really felt like we had a friend. She also brought a cheese platter and a bottle of champagne for our post-elopement picnic which was such a sweet touch.
And the quality and beauty of the photos... we are still speechless how gorgeous those are!

Before we met Abby for our session, she sent us a carefully curated guide of information. She gathered details about us and what we wanted from our shoot with her. Engagement session
We had a blast taking pics for our engagement session. I typically do not feel comfortable having my picture taken, but Abigail made the process so fun and easy. Abby was the first and best choice we made in wedding planning. She was so reachable, honest, and empathetic in helping us choose what we wanted to prioritize in our day and its documentation. She really was more of a wedding therapist than just a wedding photographer! She was thoroughly organized while still being incredibly empathetic and calm in the planning process. She goes above and beyond to get to know and love her clients like friends. By the time we had done our engagement photos with her, she knew all our antics, inside jokes, and was able to really capture our most natural selves. But, the wedding day was the strongest testament to her talent. Having never met her, our wedding planner cautioned us against having just one photographer instead of a second shooter. We promised her she'd understand when she met Abby. After watching Abby artfully, gracefully, lovingly but EFFICIENTLY and flawlessly capture moment after moment, direct family portraits, and be everywhere all at once, we were all wowed. Our wedding planner still sings her praises! We couldn't be happier with our photos. They are the single thing people comment over and over about our day. They are art. From sitting in the quiet with me while I happy-cried getting ready, to capturing my husband in his element with his buddies, to the sacred moments of our ceremony, to being in the middle of the party on the dance floor-- Abby really captured it all-- including moments we never even knew were happening. Wow - working with Abby was one of the most natural, easy experiences of our entire wedding planning process. I had seen her photography on instagram and on her website and was in love with the timeless, emotional, style of her work. After our initial conversation, her calm (but enthusiastic!) presence was communicated to us over the phone, and I exited the call knowing I didn't need to interview any more photographers - Abby was the one for us! It was an absolute pleasure working with her from beginning to end - from our fun engagement shoot (that she squeezed us in last minute on her week-off to do!) , to regrouping to discuss wedding details over wine, and then to top it all off, feeling like I was in the presence of a good friend the entire day of our wedding as she worked with us to capture all of the intricate memories of our day. My husband and I both work in the creative field, so we knew that finding the right photographer was one of the most important parts of our day. Little did we know how important our decision would be. Abigail was the single most significant decision we made throughout our wedding planning process. And if you read nothing further - know that Abigail is warm, supportive, funny, comforting, and above all else fantastically talented.
Throughout my planning, she was in touch with constant support, warm messages, an instagram DM when you needed it most - she kept me excited during the stress and made the process feel real. She also was the first person I would turn to to ask - How should this work? When should we do that? Is this the best way to do it? And she was always there with warmth and support. Like having a friend and confidant who had been through it many times before.
From our engagement session, to our rehearsal dinner, to the actual day Abigail was with me every step of the way and has captured our memories and moments in a way that connotes the same warmth with which she interacts with her clients.
Plus - she makes an excellent dance partner. :) -

In addition to being an exceptionally talented and artistic photographer, Abigail exudes genuine warmth, love, and empathy. We felt like she was a longtime friend joining us to celebrate our wedding day, and we felt immediately at ease in front of her lense. Guests and family members continue to comment on her kindness and seamless presence throughout the entire day. After such a wonderful experience, it was no surprise that her photographs (she sent us a gorgeous preview within just a few days, and all of the photos within a month!) absolutely blew us away. The single best decision I made in the wedding process was hiring Abigail. She was incredible to work with as she really took the time to get to know us in the months leading up to the wedding. You can tell that she takes personal pride & care in being chosen to intimately document you as a couple on your most special day. She treats it as an honor to photograph your wedding. Perhaps what impressed me the most was that weeks prior to our wedding, she drove 2+ hours to visit our wedding venue as well as all the sites we considered for our first look and other formal photos. By doing so she helped us build our timeline impeccably to ensure we could take all the pictures we wanted and still arrive to the ceremony on time (early actually!). Our photographs were INCREDIBLE, MAGAZINE WORTHY. My friends want to get married again just to hire Abigail. Not only was her work excellent, and her perspective unique, but SHE IS A BALL OF FUN! Such a sweetheart and me and my husband had a BLAST hanging out with her and her 2nd shooter (who was also great!). We feel like they are new found friends. HIRE HER, right now! -

Abigail was truly amazing! I knew as soon as I got engaged that I wanted Abigail Grey to be my wedding photographer. We met in college and she had photographed several other people's weddings that I knew and the photos were absolutely breathtaking!
Abigail was SO good! She was in charge of the day and helped me organize my day-of-timeline that made me feel relaxed. I knew that Abigail would take care of things for me. My guests still talk about how great our pictures were (and I agree)!
Hiring Abigail was the best decision because I never worried for a minute if I would like my wedding photos. It was like a huge weight had been lifted!
Also, wedding photos live on forever and are not just for the bride and groom. Parents, grandparents, and you can relive the best day of your life through these pictures!

Oh.my.gosh incredible talent and the cutest person alive!
I am blown away by Abigail's kindness, flexibility, and above all else -TALENT. Seriously, her photography is unreal. She has an amazing eye, and will capture the best shots and makes everyone look photogenic. Her style is romantic but also dramatic and engaging. We loved working with her during our engagement shoot, which she was more than happy to work around our crazy schedules for. If you have the chance to book Abigail Grey Photography, then you should seriously do it. I couldn't be happier with our engagement photos and can't wait to work with her for our wedding!!
Update: Abigail shot for our wedding and we just got our previews and are just blown away already!!! Abby is someone you can 101% trust your dearest memories with. Hands down. Her work is technically excellent and authentic to her own style. She doesn't chase trends, she truly is true to who she is. Coming from a photographer, I never had a doubt about if Abby would produce meaningful work. I was able to be an excited BRIDE and not worry or be anxious about being the photographer. This is huge for me. Working with Abby has grown me in my own photography business and in my relationship building with clients. What brings tears to my eyes as I write this is that she chose to intentionally get to know my husband and I through our engagement and wedding planning (even now into marriage) journeys. We LOVE her and can see her photographing us for the rest of our lives. She is organized, free flowing, energetic, kind and understanding. Our wedding day was peaceful and we had EXTRA time to just relax before the ceremony. She's also human (is that possible?!) and made herself available to us to make sure we were doing okay throughout the day. She captured everything going on and more. Our socks are blown off and we can't thank her enough for enough.

Photography was one of the most important elements of our wedding day, knowing that it would be over in a flash and we would want beautiful and artistic photos to capture and memorialize our day... and Abby did just that, and more.
Abby is warm and thoughtful, which came through even in our very first conversation over the phone to discuss the vision and flow for our day. She kept us organized with her check-in emails and helpful surveys, and would get us excited every time we talked about June 2nd, 2018.
The day-of, Abby brought energy and positivity into every moment - from getting ready in the morning to our rainy portraits walking around Old Town - and was a comfort in the minutes leading up to the ceremony. Abby was professional, yet genuine, every step of the way and we are so glad that we hired her to be our wedding photographer! Now, after the wedding, she has gone from photographer to friend, and I can't wait to work with her again! -

Kirsten Sent on 10/11/2018We absolutely loved working with Abby, and were blown away by her shots! We looked at so many photographers, and while we knew she would be good when we hired her, we were even more amazed when we got the photos back- they were even better than we expected! I love the artistic aspect that she adds into her photos, they are so much more than just photos of a wedding- she knows how to turn the photos into a form of art and has so many unique and creative ideas for poses and locations for the shots. I also love the way she balances light in her photos- they really stand out from normal wedding photos.
In addition to being an amazing photographer, Abby is a great person to be around. She knew exactly what we should do, kept us moving quickly and was very directive in our shots, all while still being so relaxed and flexible. I was amazed by the way she scoped out the area ahead of time and found the perfect locations for amazing photos. For example, we got married at a ski resort, but there wasn't really snow on the ground. To my surprise, she had gone and found a spot covered in snow and ended up taking amazing photos of us that looked like we were in a winter wonderland. She has such a good eye, and yet is so gentle and light hearted in the way she suggests things.
Lastly, I was so amazed by Abby's professional business etiquette. She sent us photos the next day that were edited and beautiful so we could share a preview with friends and family. I was shocked at how amazing they looked and how quickly she was able to get us a few shots! We also loved the way she talked with us ahead of time and planned things well so that she knew exactly what we wanted going into the day.
I highly recommend Abby if you want wedding photos that stick out above the rest, and if you want a fun, well executed and relaxed wedding. You will not be disappointed! -

Her relational, easy going self made us feel at ease while she creatively and comfortably photographed us for our in-home session. While helpfully instructing us and encouraging us throughout the process, she respected our wishes if a pose was perhaps a little too “out there” for us and didn't make us feel uncomfortable for expressing our wishes in the slightest. She was organized and professional, but also incredibly kind and understanding. We’d recommend her talents to all - she’s gifted in her career as well as befriending folks. What a beautiful combination in a photographer - and now friend!

Cara Sent on 10/03/2018Abby is easily one of the most talented photographers I've ever seen. (Watch out, Annie Leibowitz.) I've worked with Abby a number of times now. She shot my engagement photos and my wedding at the very beginning of her career. She has shot a number of of my friends' weddings (including one I was in), and most recently, she did an anniversary shoot of me and my husband out in San Francisco.
For starters, her work is just stunning. Abby has an eye like no one else. Most importantly for weddings, Abby shines brightest at candids. Her posed photos are gorgeous, but her candid shots will bring out the emotions. She has the rare talent of being able to capture a story in a single image.
Up next: Abby is insanely responsive. I have bombarded her with questions about our shoots and she always answers quickly and patiently. She's willing to bend over backwards to make the shoot work for her client, as well, which is rare amongst the photographer crowd. Additionally, outside of your posed shoot, you will not notice her at your wedding. She disappears, letting you have your perfect night without thinking one bit about the photography. 6 or so weeks later, she'll deliver the most insanely beautiful candids to you.
TL;DR: You will NOT regret hiring Abby. Not one bit. Everyone I know who's shot with her has ADORED working with her. The only drawback I can think of to hiring Abby is that she's not available to photodocument your whole life. (And the photos I've included are from our most recent shoot with her.) -

The more distance we have from our wedding, the more thankful I am that we picked a photographer who is so good at capturing little precious moments, taking beautiful and interesting photos, and truly displaying our personalities and style. I really feel like the pictures portray US and what the day truly meant to us. On the actual wedding day, she was never pushy or intrusive -- I hardly noticed all the amazing photography she was doing :) And we absolutely love the candids she got as well as some beautiful "posed" shots (which felt candid, she made us so comfortable). We can't recommend her highly enough!!!
