So Much Fun and Energy

We used Abell DJ Services for our wedding at Piazza Messina in Cottleville, MO on 1/10/2026 and they were fantastic. It was very important to us that we had a DJ who actually mixed and read the crowd, not someone who just pressed plan on a laptop. We found a video posted on Instagram of DJ Brian mixing at another wedding and it was the absolute vibe we were going for, so we requested him for our big day, and he did an amazing job! We love energy and he kept the music bopping all night long. Their planning website was so easy to use and fill out what we wanted to hear, and we had a planning call with Brian 2 weeks before our big day to make sure everything was squared away. We would recommend Brian and Abell DJ to anyone looking for a true DJ to run their party!

Great DJ Service!

DJ Ryan did a fantastic job at incorporating the music we wanted and creating a fun environment during the cocktail hour and the dinner. We got comments from guests about the impressive setup Ryan had, it was clean and professional. Very grateful for the service!! Big thanks to Ryan for being a part of it!

Best DJ Ever!!

Richard was absolutely incredible as our wedding DJ and truly went above and beyond in every way. He played every song we requested at all the right moments throughout the night and handled special requests so seamlessly. The dance floor was packed the entire evening because of how amazing he was at reading the room, creating fun mixes, and making every song transition feel effortless.

He did so much more than just play music - he completely created the atmosphere for our wedding. One of the coolest touches was how he took photos of us during golden hour and displayed them on his DJ screen later in the night. The music videos playing on the front of his booth also added such a fun, energetic vibe that everyone loved.

On top of all of that, Richard was so kind, fun, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. We could not have asked for a better DJ and would recommend him to anyone looking to have an unforgettable wedding!

Highly recommend

Chris was an absolute angel. Our original DJ double‑booked and cancelled on us last minute, and Chris stepped in without hesitation. Within hours of our first call, he had a full portal set up for us to add our favorite songs/playlists to and upload our entire wedding timeline so he could get familiar with every detail. The week before we had a final zoom call to confirm everything was set and ready to roll. He was the most organized DJ I've ever worked with.

On the day of, he was personable, fun, and struck the perfect balance of interaction with our guests. He kept a smile on his face the entire night, and our reception was better because of him. My husband and I are beyond thankful for how he turned a stressful situation into one of the best parts of our wedding.

Bar Mitzvah DJ

We had a great experience for my son's Bar Mitzvah. Richard had a small group of dancers but kept the energy up for them the whole time! Photo booth ran with ease and we received a digital copy of the pictures very quickly! Such a pleasant company to work with for any event.

Amazing music and photo opportunities!

Both the DJ and photo booth attendants were amazing. Very personable and interacted with me and our employees very well. Both of them brought life to the party and helped our crew have a fantastic time. I loved that they engaged with our team and they fit right in with us. My dream wedding

I had an amazing wedding ceremony and reception thanks to Chris. Everyone had a blast dancing and Chris made sure to read the room and keep the party going. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a quality DJ for their wedding or event in the future.

Wedding review

DJ Richard was so great to work with! Highly Recommend!

We had a great experience with DJ Richard at our wedding and cannot recommend the Abell DJ Company enough! The owner, Chris was able to answer all of our questions as we navigated booking; He was easy to work with and you can feel the passion in the work that he does. The company's online platform for planning made it easy to customize parts of our events and was such a great tool over the year of our planning.
At our meeting with our day of DJ Richard, he was professional, organized, easy to work with, and listened to what we envisioned for the night. He worked along side our wedding planner to make the evening ran slowly on the day of. We are very appreciative to Richard for his ability to provide all our sound needs from the ceremony, to the high-energy reception. Richard was very communicative throughout the night, as he went above and beyond to incorporate our special requests while keeping the vibe exactly how we wanted it. He was also great at mixing songs and reading the dance floor to keep the crowd dancing! The photobooth was also a great and our guests had a great time taking photos and receiving print outs.
If you’re looking for a DJ who’s not only talented but also kind, responsive, and genuinely invested in making your day unforgettable, we couldn’t recommend Abell DJ Company enough!

Great DJ Option

We had a great time with DJ Tay! He answered all of our questions, kept the dance floor bumpin, and even taught us a line dance! 🤣 He was super nice and made sure the bride & groom were happy all night! 10/10 recommend and the Photo Booth was amazing too!!!!

You want this company and all they have to offer.
Planning-Their tool was easy to use and helpful if you have no idea where to start/what you need to cover music for everything. Chris was so quick to respond and helpful with every question i had, even ones i thought were probably stupid to ask.
Dj-We were blessed with Richard. Fun to work with, brought the vibes, and went above and beyond getting a few pictures of us to display on his Dj stand. Everyone cried when they noticed them. He even helped us play a prank on my sister/MoH that was against a song we thought would be fun for the ceremony and did a "sound check" with it. It backfired, she loved it.
Photo Booth - So worth it. Our venue had one that didn't have printouts and no attendant. We had Sara & printouts through Abell. There was ALWAYS people at it and she kept that line moving. We got a link to all the pictures the next morning.
We enjoyed our venue but Richard and Sara brought the fun experience for everyone that really made the night epic.

HIGHLY Recommend!

I have been so excited to write this glowing review for the DJ services provided by Richard! Richard was phenomenal! First and foremost I feel like he was very thorough when we went over all the details over the phone ahead of the wedding. His DJ booth was able to show our engagement photos during the wedding as a slide show, but it also played music videos during open dance, which we all thought was so cool! I feel that he executed all of my requests to perfection, mind you I had certain songs starting and stopping at very particular times down to the second (I'm a bit of a perfectionist). Richard was not just your typical DJ hype man (which he absolutely was), but went above and beyond! Richard was the first person to hand me a signature cocktail from the bar and checked in to see if we needed anything as the night went on. He was also the guy that held up the bubble machine over his head so the photographers could get the desired shots for our bubble photo exit. Richard was there the entire night either playing a supportive role or playing music to get people on the dance floor. We had many compliments from guests about the music and how well everything flowed from event to event throughout the night. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Richard and honestly wish I had more needs for a DJ. Because we enjoyed our experience so much, we will definitely try to find celebrations we could have DJ service for in the future. 110% recommend and would use again!

A professional who brought his "A" game!

We received many comments from guests about how amazing DJ Richard was. He delivered the extra WOW factor at every turn. Not only did he keep the dance floor hopping, responding with the ebb and flow of the crowd and the composition of who was on the floor at the time, but he showed up in unexpected ways. He helped out when we had a ceremony rain delay. He snapped a candid photo of the couple and popped it up on his DJ booth screen for the night. He orchestrated our table dash game and anniversary dash game with grace under pressure. Definitely a professional who brought his "A" game! Highly recommend! Thank you!

Bride to bride you gotta book this DJ

Richard was our DJ and I could never be able to recommend him enough. If you are reading this and you are a bride I'm begging you to book with this company and Richard specifically. He saved my wedding day and did so much more than just DJ. When it started to rain during my photos I started to panic and he was right there with a drink in hand and words of encouragement. He held an umbrella over our photographers head the whole time so she wouldn't mess up her camera. My husband was having trouble holding the train of my dress and he helped him out and carried it too. He was like a built in groomsmen! He offered to help in anyway he could. Not only that but the dance floor was amazing! He played all our request, kept the dance floor going without making the guest feel obligated. The guest complimented the music and how fun it was and even my mom was out there busting a move. It was so much fun and just the perfect music. I truly can't explain how much this man did for us but I would book him all over again in a heart beat!

He also snapped a few pictures of us with the photographer and put them on the cover of the DJ booth. Our guest could see sneak peaks from that were just taken. It was wonderful!!

Bryon was wonderful to work with! He was extremely helpful in the planning process, as was the portal. He checked in regularly to see if we needed anything. DJ Richard was amazing!

DJ Richard was amazing! He listened to our preferences and asked questions to make sure he was doing things the way we would want. I had a specific request and he was able to suggest exactly how to piece the song together so it worked the way I wanted. He did this without any hesitation at all. He was an awesome DJ and kept our guests out on the dance floor!

Surpassed expectations

I don't know where to start... Brian knocked it out of the park. I got so many compliments on the music and I know our friends and family had a great time with it. Even after only briefly discussing a few things ahead of time, Brian was an expert and flew through the evening seamlessly. I didn't have to worry about a thing. I felt like we were friends by the end of the night.
Deena, our Photo Booth attendant, was so sweet and attentive. When she saw an opportunity to make my original plan better she asked about it first and her suggestion was perfect.
The whole planning platform was absolutely genius. I loved being able to put my timeline, song requests, and finer details into something that prevented miscommunication. Gone are the days of typing out bullet points and hoping your DJ paid attention.
We could not have been happier with hiring Abell DJ for our wedding. My guests and bridal party were like "where the hell did you find this guy? This is great!"

Great DJ experience!

Excellent experience from start to finish and a packed dance floor

Abell DJ is one of the best vendors in the industry. From the moment we signed the contract to the end of our event, DJ Chris was professional, helpful, responsive, and fun! Our dance floor was energized and packed all night long - even after our bar closed (30 minutes prior to the event end). Two weeks after the wedding, we are still getting compliments on Abell DJ. Friends and family are calling our daughter's wedding "epic" and "the best wedding they've been to" because the dj kept the energy high. Even my 81 year-old dad danced the night away with the 20-somethings.

I will recommend Abell DJ to anyone who wants their event to include an epic dance party.

Wedding Reception DJ

DJ JayC was incredibly flexible with last minute changes, communicative with us throughout the entire process, and had the dance floor packed the entire night! He helped us coordinate things on our timeline like table dashes and special dances. He also listened to us on songs that we requested and songs that we did not want to hear. Would highly recommend him to friends and would love to use him again in the future!

From beginning to end, Chris was incredible. He is very detail-oriented and cares about the service he is providing. He works with you and accommodates to what you are wanting. He kept everybody on the dance floor, and played 9 straight absolute BANGERS at one point of the night. I heard a lot of "this DJ knows what he's doing" comments all night! Perfection!

No Better DJ Company

I had zero experience with Wedding Planning or knowledge of vendors. I used a Wedding site to select based on what I was looking for and or knowledge of the venue. We had an awesome experience with Abell DJ Company. The initial virtual meeting had all of our questions answered and the online platform for setting up the day as well as adding information around requested songs, timelines, and wants around the music, lighting, and photo booth was so easy to navigate. Chris was immediately responsive in all the pre-planning stages and made sure everything was in order during the final call. As is probably typical for a Wedding Day, things fell behind and Chris coordinated with the Day of Coordinator and they worked together to adjust throughout the day. All of my specific instructions were respected and followed. The music was on point, and my favorite part was the DJ screen that played some videos during songs. Watching the little kids dancing and enchanted by the videos was precious. Chris made suggestions to help the day flow and everyone had an amazing time. We would absolutely recommend to hire as well as use again if we ever had another event that needed a DJ. The photo booth was also a lot of fun and the guests appreciated it! It was a great way to "gift" something to the guests that they could take home and enjoy versus giving gifts that would immediately go in the trash. I love the gallery access to the photos because I get to see all the crazy faces guests made!

10/10 - highly recommend to everyone

DJ Chris Abell was great! He was professional and easy to work with from the first day we met until the end of mine and my husband's wedding night. He provided us good tips on making our playlist. We also allowed him to add his own spin on things and he did not disappoint. We recommend him now to everyone we know in need of a DJ.

The Photo Booth was amazing as well. I love that guests can take their own photo strip with them. The attendant also set aside any strip that had the bride or groom in the picture so we didn't have to worry about keeping track of our own

Best DJ company

Dance floor was filled the whole night!

We had the chance to have Sean as our DJ and Brett for our Photo Booth! They were very helpful and came prepared for our big day! They met and exceeded our expectations and had the dance floor filled the whole night! Everyone loved the Photo Booth as well. Highly recommend!

A+ Experience from Start to Finish

Aaron DJ'ed our wedding on July 15 at Wild Carrot and he was on top of everything from the moment he walked in until the last song concluded. Chris was amazing the night of our wedding. He kept people on the dance floor, which was very important to us. We have received so many compliments since.

The portal to plan everything was user friendly and very helpful for planning the whole night out exactly as we wanted.

Chris reviewed the forms with us afterwards to make sure we were all on the same page before the event.

He even took our group photo so our photographers, my cousins, could jump into the photo with us!

Above and beyond

Sean was absolutely amazing. I was sick right before my wedding and he was great about working with me with last minute changes. He went above and beyond what a DJ has to do. He was very kind to my husband's grandpa who married us and made sure he had everything he needed. He checked in on me and the party and offered to help with anything we needed. He even helped with a broken glass on the dance floor. The music was exactly what I wanted and he even snuck in some music I love even though it wasn't the typical genre for a wedding. I cannot say enough good things about him and would highly recommend him.

We are so happy with the overall experience we had working Abell. Our wedding day was perfect, from the ceremony music setting the tone for what's to come and the reception was spot on. Super easy to work with.

Amazing DJ services!!

Phil was amazing! He created lifelong memories at our wedding. When we brought out the foam light sticks, Phil played Star Wars music and an epic battle ensued; it is something I will always remember. We all had a blast and I felt so comfortable all evening knowing Phil was DJing the reception.

Perfect!!!

Overall great experience. The owner, Chris, was easy to work with throughout the booking and planning process and answered any questions we had. Our DJ for the wedding, Richard, did a great job on the big day. He handled audio for the ceremony (both music and speakers' mics), which went off without a hitch, and for the reception he did a great job with making announcements and selecting songs (including incorporating our song requests). The dance floor was active all evening - just what we'd hoped. Highly recommended!

You make me feel like dancing!

We knew from the minute our ceremony started we had made the right decision, everything went flawlessly. As soon as the reception started every seat was empty and all of our guest were cutting a rug on the dance floor! Big Wedding Big Party Big Fun

We had Aaron for our wedding he helped make it our best day ever! Aaron was very professional ensuring he was prepared and on the same page with us during our pre-wedding meeting and the website portal was extremely helpful in conveying our desires. I'm not sure how much experience he has had with 600+ guest weddings with large wedding parties but he navigated it all very well. Aaron's talents were really on display in keeping the dance floor going all night over the long open dance period. He gauged the "vibe" and played the perfect songs to keep the party going. I would also like to commend him for being extremely professional and flexible while working with us and the photo/video crew as we had to alter some timing on the fly and utilize his equipment to play the "same day edit" video. We thank Aaron and Chris for meeting and certainly exceeding our expectations and for traveling out to farm country to make our day the best ever.

Best night

From the moment I talked with Chris in our video chat, I knew without a doubt we were making the right choice with Abell DJ Compnay. The day of our wedding, before our ceremony started, DJ Aaron arrived (early!) and started his set up. Our photographers came back to me in the bridal suite specifically to tell me how amazing our DJ that we had for the evening is, and he has only been there for probably 10 minutes at the time. We had a last minute addition of one of my bridesmaids deciding to video tbe the ceremony, and when she came back, she absolutely loved him! She also said his equipment is top notch and we we're going to have a fantastic evening.

I had asked before our ceremony started that there be an announcement of no cell phones during the ceremony and also that everyone finds a seat and wasn't standing awkwardly on the sides or in back. From my spot up front, I couldn't see any phones, and there wasn't a single person standing so I guess he got his point across - but throughout the evening, I never once had a guest complaint about it, so he was able to deliver that message very politely to everyone.

During dinner, the music was perfect. It was exactly the vibe we wanted. Later during dinner, I went back to ask the photographers a question, and yet again they raved about how amazing our DJ is, and he's the best one they've ever worked with. They loved his light setup for our first dances too. After dinner, we had a full dance floor the entire night. The music choice was the perfect mix to keep everyone out there, and he was able to include our requests for some line dances as well. We have have had so many people tell us that this was the best wedding they've ever been to, and I truly believe DJ Aaron was a big part of that. I will always recommend them to anyone of our other friends and families getting married or anyone that needs a DJ for anything else.

One of the quotes during our ceremony was "In a marriage, the little things are the big things" - DJ Aaron has shown me that it's not just a marriage that that rule applies, it's the little details you put into anything you do that puts it over the top, and he did that for us this weekend.

Amazing DJ Company

The owner of the company, Chris Abell, personally helped us get everything scheduled and was extremely receptive to all our questions. DJ Abell and Brett were great! From the planning process to day of, they were there to answer any questions or concerns and to make sure everything happened smoothly. Thank you for making our day so seamless and special. All the guests loved our beautiful outdoor wedding and loved a place for the kiddos to dance the night away. Great experience!

The Abell team was excellent to work with! We had multiple delays and changes and they were professional, quick to respond, and flexible the entire way, patient with all of our questions. DJ Richard was very friendly, easy to work with, and fun. He was understanding and aware of all our requests, interacted with us and our guests with a positive attitude, and kept the dance floor fun all evening. We highly recommend!
