Stopped through town, jackpot!!
Stayed the night in town on my way back down to LA, decided to stop in and see if I could just look around for ideas. These ladies were more than willing to allow me to look around and tag dresses I liked despite not having appointments available for the rest of the day. I found a few I liked but was not expecting to be able to try them on. These ladies went above and beyond, having finished their last appointment early, and were able to offer the opportunity to try the dresses I chose on as well as offer suggestions based on my responses. This bridal experience was one out of a dream: comfy seating and luxurious looking curtains to provide a grand reveal moment were the two aspects which stood out to my party. I left the store extremely satisfied with my experience. After discussing the experience, having "this is my dress" moment, and amazing deal they were offering (dress was almost 50% off!!), my group and I decided to come back the following day before we left town to purchase the dress! The staff recognized me immediately when I returned and were overjoyed to for me to go home with my ultimate dress.
I went from casually stopping in a store to glance at dresses to going home with my dress in hand in less than 24 hours, 10/10 experience!
COVID-19: the store provided white gloves to wear while browsing the racks (machine washed after use), required masks to be worn at all times in the store, and sanitized each dressing area meticulously between parties.Stayed the night in town on my way back down to LA, decided to stop in and see if I could just look around for ideas. Amazing Experience and Perfect Dress
Today, I said YES to the dress! I found this place because I saw a dress I loved on Pinterest— a beautiful Kenneth Winston gown. I contacted the designer and asked where I could buy this dress. The designer told me A Touch of Class carries their line and they would be able to get a loaner dress shipped to the store for me. I called A Touch of Class and left a message, and Judy called be back shortly after. She said she could order the loaner dress for $75, a portion of which I would have gotten back if I had ended up buying that dress. Judy told me she carried a lot of dresses and had quite a few that were similar to the one that I liked on Pinterest. She encouraged to need to come in and try some dresses on and said that she’s had girls in the past do that and end up not even needing to order the loaner. I had only been to one other retailer to try dresses on and did not have a very good experience, so I was hoping this would be different. I did a lot of online shopping, but knew I needed to try some dresses on. So I made an appointment and went in today with my mom and cousin. Judy and her partner, Lindsay, run the store, with Judy’s husband Rick also helping out. Rick greeted us and gave us tags that we used to mark dresses I wanted to try on while Judy finished up an appointment. The store was not huge, but rather intimate with so many dresses neatly lined up on racks. The store was nicely and comfortably decorated and laid out. It took us about 20 minutes to look through all the dresses and tag the ones we wanted to try on. The curtained dressing area was big with full-length mirrors and a pedestal step, with comfortable chairs placed outside. Judy helped me get into all of my dresses and was so knowledgeable about every dress in the store. She was knowledgeable about the designers, the styles, and any possible alterations or changes. She told me pretty much any changes I wanted could be made to any dress. That helped me feel more excited about dress shopping, which had honestly been a very overwhelming and stressful process for me until I went into A Touch of Class. Judy had a very good idea of what I was looking for after seeing the dresses I picked out. She was amazing and shared anecdotes from other brides (she calls her customers her “girls”) and background about her, Rick, and the store. We had fun chatting and trying on dresses. The dress I ended up choosing was NOTHING like the dresses I had been looking at. She told me she had been walking past the dress I ended up with to put other dresses away during my appointment and three different times she thought: “she needs to try that dress on,” but she kept telling herself that it was not what I was looking for. Finally, she asked my mom and cousin what they thought and said she wanted to see me in it because she thought it would be very flattering to my figure. I tried the dress on for fun, but ended up absolutely loving it! It is so beautiful and elegant with very exquisite, beautiful lace. I absolutely love it. I told Judy she is “The Dress Whisperer.” She called Rick and Lindsay over to come see me in the dress, as well. Judy and Rick are wonderful people, very kind and friendly with great senses of humor. Lindsay is also a very sweet lady. I really appreciate them all so much and just felt so comfortable there— like family. I had such a wonderful and perfect experience today and I’m so happy that I found a dress and that I absolutely love dress that I picked. I have been floating on a cloud all day after that appointment. Not only do they have a great variety of dresses here without being overwhelming like some other bridal retailers, but the prices are so reasonable. Many of the dresses are actually discounted, and Judy was kind enough to put a small discount on my dress even though it was not one of the ones that was marked down. They also sell men’s suits and tuxedos for very reasonable prices and prom, bridesmaids, and mother-of-the-bride gowns. Anjelica, Fran, and Judy were lovely! My mom and I had a positive experience shopping for my wedding dress here. We had fun walking around the shop and choosing dresses for me to try on. Then, Anjelica expertly assisted me into each one. Anjelica's warmth and kindness made my experience great. I felt like she really listened to me. I have searched far an wide for a year and a half for a dress shop with original, designer dresses without the 50,000 price tag. I couldn't believe I had encountered an enormous challenge! My goal was simple...Find a dress that was flattering on me. I wanted to look good wearing the dress, without being one of those overwhelming (blow here, and lace that, with a flower there) kind of dresses. I was not in a rush to find a dress so I first casually searched out locally in Sonoma County and Napa. City after city I found the same thing; either the plain boring dresses I have seen a thousand times that do absolutely nothing for the bride, or outrageously priced mediocre dresses with so many embellishments that made me disappear in comparison. Months passed as my journey broadened. I drove 2 hours to Sacramento and found nothing. I even drove to San Francisco and went to J Crew to look at their dresses and made visits to high end designer bridal boutiques in Frisco as well. No luck. FINALLY I discovered A Touch of Class Bridal in Santa Rosa. It's humble exterior is misleading because this place is a goldmine! They have so many beautiful, original, designer dresses that look and feel like a million bucks but are also reasonably priced! The ladies who work there are super sweet and very knowledgeable. I found myself have a terrible time choosing from my final three favorite dresses which were all so lovely! I finally decided and am very pleased. I also ordered my bridesmaid's dresses from them because I am happy to bring in more business. Bottom line: fabulous dresses, reasonable prices, with employees who lovely, helpful and very patient!I have searched far an wide for a year and a half for a dress shop with original, designer dresses without the 50,000 price tag. I was looking for a simple straightforward bridal boutique that had a range of dresses under $1000. I looked around San Francisco and couldn't even find a place with decent reviews and what I consider reasonably priced dresses, but I wasn't interested in a store like David's bridal because that's not my thing. My mom and I took a day trip to San Rafael and after two miserable appointments where we just kept looking in the mirror and saying "yeah that's a wedding dress but it's not me"...and assistants who were perky but couldn't meet my needs and kept bringing me dresses that didn't fit my body type (after 32 years I know what works and what doesn't), we were at a loss that i would ever find a dress. (I should note I had tried on several already through online vendors like bhldn and jcrew). Then a touch of class was great! Their wedding dresses are hung with SPACE BETWEEN THEM so you don't have to dig through to see the dresses. They give you a stack of tags and you wander around and tag the dresses you like. Once trying them on, they're not pushy and they ask great questions to help you decide if you do or don't like a dress. They were helpful and they trusted that I know what I want more than they do. I went back the day after , tried on two dresses after a nights sleep and walked out with my dress (it was an off the rack sample so it was a deal too!). I still love it and can't wait to wear it! Judy helped me a lot picking my dress and she is a cool person to work with! Picking out the dress is one of the most exciting experience a bride can ever have and their staff are super nice. Their dress selection is caters to all budget and I did not mind the drive at all. I got an extra 15% off for their Eddie K trunk show. They don't pressure sell too, which I like, but I would buy through them anyways! The gown came with a nice garment bag which kept my gown clean.Judy helped me a lot picking my dress and she is a cool person to work with! From the second we walked in we were welcomed with the staff. The girl that was working there at the time was so friendly, helpful and sold me my dress that day. It was literally that easy and I was so lucky to find my dress in the very first shop I went too. They were very helpful with the alterations and helping me stay on track. The only problem we had was when one of my bridesmaids had to switch dresses due to being pregnant. They had suggested that she but a new one instead of having it altered and unfortunately didn't tell her that she would have to keep both dresses and not be able to return the dress she had. She was really upset and ended up spending way more money then she should have. The dress selection and value was perfect for me; the ladies working on the floor were always helpful.
However, the owner Judy was inserting herself to a point of distraction from transactions, as well as never listened to the customer. My mother-in-law instantly had no interest in working with A Touch of Class for her dress or the bridesmaid dresses due to her interaction with the owner.
The dress arrived sooner than expected (big plus!), but the owner was not helpful in scheduling my second-fitting. I kept being told I "had plenty of time" one month prior to my wedding for a fitting and alterations.
Dress Selection: awesome
But purchase the dress & use someone you trust for alterations. Do NOT use the shop to schedule fittings and alterations.
Aside from being pushed aside as a "worried" bride around the time of my alterations, the shop was willing to wait two weeks prior to my wedding for final alterations; the main issue in the dress was never addressed. Ultimately it was likely a flaw that could not be remedied in a month's time, a flaw that was observed, evaluated, and discussed six months prior yet never fixed. Additionally, the bustle that was done, was double stitched onto the lace train creating three puckers on a beautiful train. I assumed that was how it was supposed to be and when I tried on the dress at the shop, no one caught it. My aunt 20 minutes to our wedding had to unstitch and restitch the bustle buttons to get rid of the puckers.
I never felt treated like priority and I saw many poor business decisions made by the owner. The dress selection and value was perfect for me; the ladies working on the floor were always helpful.

Horrible for weddings! The 4 of the bridesmaids dresses ripped! Expensive and awful . We got absolutely no warning about the $50 late fee if we didn't pick up the dresses within a couple of days so read the contract carefully !!! We regret getting the tuxedos there as well. Rich's attitude changed as soon as we put the deposit, he's so rude. This store definitely added stress to the wedding planning , I'll never go back.Horrible for weddings! The shop isn't fancy but I thought the friendliness of a small shop more than made up for it when I came in to buy the dress. Unfortunately, after this there was quite a lot of disorganization in the ordering and delivery of the dress. The dress is late, without a delivery timeframe, with two weeks to the wedding date. Things happen, and a kind and straightforward communication style can give you confidence that at least whatever can be done is being done. Unfortunately, they have just been condescending and brushed off my questions about where we stand.
The reason I wrote this review is to warn anyone in a similar time crunch that this isn't the right shop.
I did have a rush order, so I'm definitely more worried about timing than most ladies. Overall, if you don't need your shop to be very organized in a short time frame and don't need to communicate with them beyond ordering and picking up your dress, this place would be just fine.
PS know your measurements before going in and insist on choosing your size based on the manufacturers guide.

I loved all the dresses we bought. They were great quality & pretty good value. Dina was our salesperson & was wonderful! She was friendly, knowledgeable & helped me when I was indecisive. The only issues I experienced were when the owner, Judy, was involved. My family & I were offended by the way she spoke to Dina. Dina was apparently new to the store & Judy was very condescending, saying things like, “Please excuse the wait, she’s new & she needs to learn!” It was not only incredibly rude but unprofessional. I have worked in the wedding industry for years & know what customer service should be so her behavior struck a nerve. Judy constantly involved herself during our appointments & either confused matters or simply made us all feel overwhelmed & stressed with the way she talked over us. The biggest issue came with the bridesmaid dresses. One of my sisters lived out of state & wouldn’t be able to try on her dress again until the week of the wedding. She asked how to order because she had been losing weight over the past few months. Judy was so condescending in her response, “Well, we like to think we’ll lose weight but this can cause issues…”. When she tried on her dress, it was too small in the ribcage. Judy said, “Oh, looks like we’ve gained some weight!” & told us we needed to add fabric to it. So, we did. At the final fitting, the dress was too big in the ribcage by the exact measurement that was added. It was clear that she measured incorrectly but denied it tooth & nail. I told her that surely we weren't paying for the alterations since it was her error. 2 days before my wedding, Judy called & asked how I’d like to pay for the alterations, which were half the cost of the dress. I loved my dress & my sisters’ dresses – they all looked spectacular day of – but the entire experience was nothing short of painful, stressful & unprofessional.I loved all the dresses we bought. When I first got engaged, my mom and I stopped by A Touch of Class Bridal. The staff were friendly and we were allowed to look through the gowns. One particular attendant helped us look and even helped me try one of the gowns on. My mom and I instantly fell in love. As it was fitted on me, it resembled an A-line/sheath dress with a natural waist. And the gown was made of a solid panel of lace. It was slightly outside of my budget, but I decided to buy it. When the attendant first tried to fit me, she kept having problems and had to retake my measurements multiple times. Then, it was suggested to me that I should purchase a “Hollow-to-Hem” measurement. I was told this is a measurement of the hollow of the throat to the hem of the gown and would allow the manufacturers to build the gown to my height. This was an additional $150 charge. When the attendant went to measure my hollow to hem, she couldn’t seem to get the math to add up. The owner of the store even had to help her. They spent 15 minutes measuring me until they finally felt comfortable with the numbers. They then added 3" to the measurement to account for my heels on the day of. Three months later, I got the call the dress was in. I let them know that when I picked up the dress, I was bringing in my parents, my future in laws and extended family of the groom. At the time of the phone call, I paid the balance of the dress. When I went in to pick up the dress, the original attendant who helped me acted disinterested, bored, and annoyed. When I was fitted with the with the dress, I noticed it was 6" too long with 3" heels on. At the end, the attendant asked me, in front of my entire family, “So, we have one last deal of business. You need to pay.” As she was the one who processed my credit card on the phone, I was confused why she would confront me in this manner. I immediately explained that I had paid by phone and pulled out my receipt. Without reading the receipt, she just said “Oh, yeah.”When I first got engaged, my mom and I stopped by A Touch of Class Bridal. The staff were friendly and we were allowed to look through the gowns.
