Awesome!!!

Chad from A Taste of Music DJ'd our wedding and he was totally amazing!!! From Day 1, he was responsive, professional, talented, and guided us through the whole process. He was so easy, fun, and pleasant to work with. After the initial calls/emails, he took the time to meet with us in person a few weeks before the wedding and went through the entire day in great detail. Not only did he help us with music, but he also helped us coordinate the timing and flow of the entire day, which was so incredibly helpful, as well as lighting and a photobooth. The day of, he totally nailed it! He showed up on time and with excellent equipment, including speakers, microphones, lighting, and a photobooth with props. He had perfect timing for the ceremony, and played great music for the cocktail hour and reception. Everything sounded great. He read the crowd perfectly, and made our wedding a day we will remember forever. Our friends are still talking about how much fun they had at our wedding and how they LOVED the music, and it was so much fun to look at all the photo booth pictures. Chad took care of everything the day of and made everything go so smoothly, which was such a blessing with so much going on. I absolutely recommend Chad and A Taste of Music!!!!

Great DJ at the Lyman Estate

Chad was professional, organized, and fun! Our wedding was indoors at the Lyman Estate and he was very familiar with the space and the staff. He set up speakers and mics for ceremony music, cocktail hour music, toasts, dinner music and dancing. He also made everything work for the many different rooms we were using at the Lyman Estate. He also was excellent at making announcements and transitioning guests from one thing to another. We requested many songs ahead of time and he did a great job supplementing songs that went with what we liked. He kept people dancing and everyone had a great time. I would definitely recommend Chad for any event.

I had no idea how to choose a DJ when I started planning, but luckily my caterer recommended Chad because they worked together a lot. Once we met him it was a no-brainer, and we were so glad we followed the recommendation. Chad is the best! We met with him a few times before the big day to discuss ideas and logistics, and he was very down-to-earth, friendly, and professional.

Our venue had multiple rooms, and we even ended up moving a lot of our reception outdoors because of the great weather, and none of that phased Chad. He was on top of everything. Before our toasts and first dance he asked my preference about whether to have them inside or outside, and since I wasn’t sure, I felt perfectly comfortable leaving it up to his best recommendation. We couldn’t have picked a better DJ for our wedding!

Chad was a delight to work with leading up to the wedding, and absolutely fantastic on the day! He was personable, reassuring, and funny at our introductory meeting, thorough in follow-up communications, and brought all that charm to the reception as well. The music was fantastic, he was fun without being intrusive on the flow of the evening, and the dance floor was busy all night! One of my guests even 'complained' that there were so many good songs, she didn't have time to take a break from dancing, because there were none she felt like sitting out! I only wish there were more events for which we might need a DJ, because Chad was stellar start to finish.

Chad was great. He DJed our wedding at the Lyman Estate and did an amazing job. He has worked there many times and knows the staff, other vendors, and estate layout well. Everything went smoothly on the day of--he checked in just the right amount and was kind and funny. The transitions from outdoor ceremony, to porch speeches, to music flowing through the estate all went beautifully. From the beginning, he put us at ease, championed our choices, and was easy to work with.

From our first meeting with Chad, I knew that he was the perfect DJ for our wedding. He provided planning tools for us to use, song suggestions and asked questions that I hadn't even thought of! He was so responsive to everything, so organized and just a really great person! He totally catered to our crowd, and I don't think anyone left the dance floor. It was perfect from start to finish! He even helped us at the end of the night in a bit of a bind, which was so over and above any expectations but so genuinely appreciated, it truly felt like I had known him for years. Thank you SO much Chad for making our day so perfect!!

We absolutely loved working with Chad! He was super responsive, very helpful, and extremely professional throughout the whole wedding planning process. The music he played during the wedding was a wonderful mix of everything, and everyone was out on the dance floor all night. Many guests complimented us on how much they liked Chad and his music selections. We'd definitely work again with him in a heartbeat!

We recently used A Taste of Music for our wedding and highly recommend them. Chad was great to work with, very professional, and addressed all of our questions and needs. He was able to accommodate all of our requests and went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. The music was exactly what we wanted and Chad made sure the event ran smoothly and without any issues. Our guests were similarly impressed with Chad and we could not recommend him higher for our wedding or any other event.

We absolutely loved working with Chad from A Taste of Music for our wedding at the Lyman Estate in September 2015. He went out of his way to get a sense of our style and understand what kind of music, and event overall, that we wanted. His playlist was fantastic, keeping our guests on the dance floor all night with a great mix. He also handled logistics flawlessly, including handling microphones for our toasts on the porch and setting up a speaker with its own more mellow playlist for guests to relax in the library. His equipment was top-notch. He made us, and all our guests, feel completely at ease and made sure everyone had a fantastic time. We had guests coming up to us during the event to rave about how great he was. We can't recommend him enough.

Chad was amazing. We hired him after being told about by a friend. He was friendly, soooo easy to work with and had an amazing sound system that wasn't too large but had large sound. He bent over backwards to meet all our crazy song demands. Can't say enough good things about him. I'd hire him 100 more time if I could.

We hired Chad for 5 hours of DJing and a photobooth for our wedding. He was responsive, professional and detailed-oriented during all of our meetings prior to the wedding. He also did a excellent job the day of: coordinating with various other vendors (like our pianist and photographer), checking in with us to make sure the night moves along on time, and playing to what the guests wanted to hear. He even went above and beyond to help my brother in law set-up the karaoke somewhere else at the reception site.

In addition, his rates are incredibly reasonable for the Boston area. We would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Chad was AMAZING to deal with! We met a few times and felt that he really understood the vibe we wanted and the music we liked. He also seemed to have a great handle on what a crowd would go for.
At the reception he really kept the flow of the night moving. He got people dancing and was receptive to all our requests. He had worked at our venue before and really had great suggestions for how to use the space.
His knowledge and expertise really took a lot of stress off my shoulders and i truly had fun!

We received a recommendation for Chad Priest from our caterer (they worked together in the past). We met with him at a tasting event and immediately had a great vibe from him that he has the right personality to "host" our wedding. He was really easy to get a hold of, made great suggestions for wedding day timeline, and worked really well with the other vendors at our wedding (all booked independently).
This guy is calm, cool and collected. No cheesiness DJ here. He helped to direct the show on day of and all music was timed perfectly from our ceremony (pretty far on from the reception at our venue) and making sure that we stayed on track throughout the night. He stuck to his promise and didn't play any requests on my "no" list: no chicken dance, line dancing or Boys 2 Men. I had several friends approach me just to comment on him that he was so much fun. We spoke the week before the wedding and he was very consultative with feeling out the guests/crowd. He offered to put together some games or more activities to keep everyone entertained if needed. No need though because the dancing never stopped. Music was great! The price was right in our budget too. I would totally recommend him for weddings!

I can't say enough about how great Chad was! Thank you so much for making our wedding awesome. We had an amazing time! We got so many compliments on the play list and how great he was! He even called me at 8:00 AM on the morning of the wedding to help calm my nerves.

Chad did a fantastic job for our wedding. My wife firstly had come up with quite a complicated uplighting system, with the colors changing throughout the evening. Chad brought, and set up the uplighting and did everything perfectly to my wife's specifications. His DJ'ing was to a similarly high standard, and our guests danced non stop once the music began. He was very friendly and took requests from the guests to keep the reception rocking. I would have no hesitation in recommending A Taste of Music and Chad for any event that you may have.

Chad did a fantastic job at our wedding. We could not have been happier. If you pick you cannot go wrong!
He asked us about what we wanted to hear at the wedding but used his experience and discretion as well to make sure the dance floor was buzzing. He has everything from Twist and Shout to Moves like Jagger. The speaker and sound system was great and Chad was all ready to go with the microphones for the speeches on the veranda outside prior to going in for the meal and the disco. And he's a very nice guy as well. Everyone was commenting about how good it was.

We used Chad from A Taste Of Music for my daughters wedding on saturday May 4, 2013 and I could not have asked for better service! Chad was extremely professional & played the best music. DJ Chad was professional, easy to work with, and all-around awesome! He was respectful of our music preferences and no-play list and still picked a great mix of music that kept our guests dancing all night. He met with us in person a couple of times and was very responsive to email/phone. He helped us figure out the schedule and flow for our event. He was a great MC on the day-of and went the extra mile to make sure everything went smoothly. We received many compliments from our guests on the music and his MC skills. Chad took the time to understand our preferences, then did an outstanding job of ensuring the mood was set during all portions of the event with the right music. He also went above an beyond to work with the venue staff to make sure everything went smoothly and according to schedule.

I really can't say enough about Chad's DJ services. Beyond doing such a great job with the music and general atmosphere that people were still dancing an hour after the reception was supposed to end, he really went above and beyond by offering to help with any little things that would help take stress off of us on the big day, walking us through everything that we should think about regarding the timing of the day (and this went way beyond just the music - we wouldn't have thought of a lot of small details without his help,) and he stayed an hour longer than he needed to to keep the party going when the restaurant where we held the reception told us it would be ok to keep the party going. I felt like it was a great sign that people were having an amazing time when the dance floor was still full past midnight, and the restaurant staff joined in on the dancing!

Chad walked us through everything, and really helped us get a good handle on the day. The music was amazing, the lighting was perfect, and people had so much fun that at least two couples asked for his card that night, and one has since hired him for her own wedding.

My husband and I were married on a gorgeous day back in July at the Ocean View Inn in Gloucester MA. Three months later, I am still running into friends and family who can't stop raving about how much fun they had, saying "what a great party", because that is what it was- people were on the floor dancing from the time dinner ended, until the end of the reception... or should I say when Chad wrapped up, as he stayed past his scheduled time so that people could continue enjoying themselves. He was prompt, professional, organized. He met with us several times prior to the day, and the wedding planner at the reception, to ensure things ran smoothly. He helped us with any questions on songs, and made sure that all the important songs were played. More than that, he provided marine-blue and white LED lights that matched our wedding color, and truly made the party that much more festive. And of top if it all, Chad was the most reasonable DJ we found, offering unbelievable quality at an unbelievable rate. It is obvious he enjoys what he does, and has a passion for music. Hands down, if you want a DJ who is professional, and who will create the celebration you have always dreamed of, he is it.

Chad is amazing! He just DJ'd my wedding and everyone is still raving about the music days after! He knows exactly the right type of music to play for all ages, and even caters to the Bride & Groom's needs in other areas throughout the ceremony & reception. He never let me down and was always within ear and eyeshot of us at all times in case we needed something. I saw him more than I saw my wedding coordinator! I would shout his name from the rooftops to anyone in need of a DJ!!

My wife Amanda and I had hired the services of A Taste of Music for our wedding on September 28th, 2012 and could not be happier with the results! For a fraction of the price of every other DJ service we found, we feel we have gotten an even better service than any of them could have possibly provided.
Chad Priest (our DJ) was perfectly accommodating, pleasant and professional from the moment we met him. He made the process leading up to our wedding very comfortable and easy for us, he was organized and profesisonal, and we had no doubts everything would go as planned.
During the wedding, Chad provided so much more than we bargained for! Where other vendors were lacking, Chad had no problem with helping us out with issues completely unrelated to what we hired him for....he helped the other vendors with their jobs, and even helped us coordinate our ceremony properly at our most vulnerable moment when others were nowhere to be found!!!
As far as the music, Amanda and I had very specific playlists in mind, and not only was everything done to our specifications, but Chad was able to add last second music which integrated seemlessly into our mixes for a perfect balance when timing did not work out exactly as we planned with the venue. We could tell he loved what he was doing, and could have handled and requests musical or otherwise. His demeanor while on the mic was also pleasant and professional (but I'm sure he could carzy it up for you as well if you wanted!).
Chad would have been welcomed at our wedding as a guest, nevermind just a DJ, that is how much we appreciate everything he did for us. Amanda and I could not imagine a better service, and HIGHLY recommend A Taste of Music!

We can't say enough about how wonderful Chad/A Taste of Music were to us! Chad was extremely responsive and kept in touch with us throughout the whole planning process. He was proactive, responsive, and very professional.

Chad went above and beyond in planning our playlist - he made sure to include modern & contemporary, English & Chinese music - especially for our Chinese guests (both of our parents are Chinese and there were a fair number of elder Chinese folks with us).

Also, Chad offered to set up special lighting for us to get some cool effects around the reception hall - a total bonus!

Everyone had an amazing time thanks to the good music, fun games & great direction that Chad provided. For weeks after the wedding, our guests told us how much fun our wedding was and how great the DJ was as well.

We would definitely recommend "A Taste of Music" and if we had the opportunity to work with him in the future again, we would do it in a heart beat!

We are so happy that we found "A Taste of Music" for our wedding day celebration! We would highly recommend them for any celebration/event. Chad was an absolute dream DJ. Organized, professional, helpful and kind hearted, he made our night unforgettable. A Taste of Music was outstanding and very flexible in working with our needs as well as a somewhat different format for music.

Our wedding music included A Taste of Music setting up sound equipment for a classical three piece band during out cocktail hour in one space and dinner and regular wedding music in a second space. He spoke with the classical band several times in advance of the wedding on timing for set up and transition to our entry. He also provided the necessary sound equipment and helped them set up.

We also wanted to include Korean music which he was able to find and included.

Chad was very good at MCing the night and moving things along at the right pace, slow but with some kick at the beginning and during the cake cutting and into a good party groove after the older folks started leaving.

Chad's wife was possibly going to deliver around the time of our wedding. Chad kept an additional DJ from A Taste of Music in the loop and had him ready at the wedding just in case his wife delivered during the event and he had to leave. This level of contingency and forethought was impressive and kept my wife from worrying about any music or MC related issues before or during the wedding reception.

Chad was a great DJ for our wedding. There were a few moments where he checked in with us during the wedding that didn't need to happen, but beyond that he played our eclectic selection of music very well and with minimal cheese factor. If you're looking for someone who will arrange your music and stay in touch with you during your wedding process, he's great!
