They are really excellent! Savannah was a pleasure to work with. Energetic and super responsive.
I was so confident everything will be done to perfection and I didn’t worry about it before and during the wedding and danced the night away.
The food, service and set up was perfect. All the guests were so happy with the food and bar service!
I cannot recommend them enough. -

Probably what I stressed about the most and ended being the least stressful vendor to work with! From the beginning up until the very end of the wedding reception, Taste of Excellence was amazing! You cannot go wrong with any meal from their menu! So many compliments from our guests about the amazing food and service from the staff. We used Taste of Excellence for food, tables/chairs, linens and bar service. The staff was a well oiled machine and if there were any issues I was never made aware. I felt completely cared for the entire planning process. I cannot recommend this caterer enough! -

Great Caterer
We changed wedding venues to Market Square at Crocker Park after postponing our wedding due to COVID and hired Taste of Excellence Catering. From day one, they were very responsive all of my questions and unbelievably flexible regarding the menu, allergies/dietary restrictions, etc. The food is incredible, every single thing we had at our tasting was amazing! At our wedding we ended up having the NY strip steak, the salmon with dill sauce, the chicken marsala, and the grilled vegetable tarrine (vegetarian) and mashed potatoes as the side. Everyone raved about the food and the portion sizes. Our only complaint was that they forgot to box up the meals for those who had RSVPed yes and didn't come, but they offered to refund us those meals which was nice. The staff was attentive and kind and everything otherwise ran smoothly. I would highly recommend using Taste of Excellence Catering for any wedding or event!!
We also got all of our chairs, tables, and linens through Taste of Excellence and loved how everything looked and was set up! -

Taste of Excellence catered my wedding on 10/10/2020 and they exceeded all of my expectations! Their attention to detail and flexibility are unmatched. I worked with Kaitlyn for all of my planning and she was responsive to all my questions, super organized and even came to the venue of my walk through to make sure all the details would be perfect. The day of Janette was onsite with me and she made sure everything got done. She stepped into the roll of day of coordinator and took it upon herself to make sure all the details of the reception were perfect. Anytime my family or I were doing setup one of the catering staff would come over and handle it. It made the stress levels the day of so much more manageable. In addition to everything else they did the food was excellent. All of the guests raved about delicious everything tasted. Overall I couldn't have been happier with the team at Taste of Excellence and I would use them again for any catering need. -

Medeana at AToE was so wonderful. She was accessible day or night and helped us immensely when we had to downsize from 260 to 50 guests. everyone was raving about the food, we had the salmon and short ribs. every recommendation medeana gave us was absolutely delicious. and i know she did a lot behind the scenes to make the day as stress-free as possible, she noticed we had no champagne flutes for my husband and I to toast with so she ran out and bought some, she set up our dessert table beautifully with some cake stands i provided ( I didn't even have to ask). The bartender poured or shots at the "take a shot we tied the knot" table. The servers were quick, efficient, and covid-friendly. I have a few friends getting married next year and I have already referred them to AToE, I truly can't recommend them enough. -

We are so happy to chose to work with A Taste of Excellence for our September wedding at Mapleside Farms. We worked with Karen Levin. Karen was organized in her planning and gave good honest advice. She was organized and responsive through the planning process. They are a full service caterer and took care of tables, linens, chairs, alcohol and food in addition to making the even run smoothly. On the day of the wedding, everything was set up beautifully and exactly as we wanted it. ATOE made everything run smoothly through the day and night. My husband and I (and our guests) were very well taken care of. Everyone told us how delicious and plentiful the food was! I can't be complimentary enough about Karen and the rest of her staff for such a perfect day. They also ended the night smoothly by packing up everything neatly and getting up loaded up to go home. It is truly worth the expense to have such a full service caterer! -

Taylor at ATOE is simply amazing!!! From our first meeting with her about a year before our wedding, she was so professional, knowledgeable, and wonderful to work with. I was concerned about being able to serve good quality food since we were having a large wedding in my parent's backyard and would need to bring everything in (250 guests). Not only did Taylor assure us that the food would be delicious, but we had multiple tastings where we were able to try every item that would be served at the wedding and provide feedback (it was all great from the start though!) I was also nervous about the process of serving so many guests, but Taylor made sure everything ran seamlessly and her staff did a truly amazing job. Taylor was also super detail-oriented and worked with our planner to ensure everything was set up perfectly according to plan. The night of our wedding I was so blown away by the level of service from ATOE and the quality of the food - and so were our guests who raved about both as well! We would recommend Taylor and ATOE to anyone who has any catering needs!!! They are true professionals and it is a pleasure to work with them. -

Taste of Excellence was SO easy to work with, so so simple to communicate, add on to the package; they set up our dessert table for us and were so involved. The food was delicious and right on time, the linens and chevari chairs were GORGEOUS (and the chair rental is so worth the upgrade). Their team was so lovely and we were grateful to have them! -

They're certainly a pricier option, but there's no doubt that the level of detail and and easy professionalism they display make your planning experience so much more stress-free. You can be as customized with your wedding as you like, or you can be more hands-free and just approve or decline their suggestions, having a personalized wedding without having to do tons of agonizing detail work yourself. -

Chris and Christene rocked our wedding with the food from Taste! We did three choices (beef, chicken and vegan) and received SO many compliments. My father is kind of a food-snob and he was so impressed with the meal and is now recommending Taste to his friends! Taste not only provided and excellent dinner, but the appetizers were incredible and beautifully displayed, and the staff also helped us put together and display our amazing cookie table! I felt like Taste, while they were not the most-affordable option of my caterer choices, really worked with us to customize a menu that fit not only our budget but also our tastes and food preferences. They also worked very diligently to make sure allergies were taken care of in my family, as well as making sure that everyone who made cookies for the cookie table had the appropriate sign of recognition, which is a lot of detail that goes into the set up and was appreciated by all! Thank you! -

Overall my experience with A Taste of Excellence was positive. The tasting was so wonderful and staff was friendly. Most importantly, the food was DELICIOUS.
I had a couple miscommunications with my salesperson - I was an out of town bride and so other than the tasting and the final meeting we exclusively communicated through email, and that led to a little confusion on schedule and sometimes on the contract. If you go with them, review your contracts CAREFULLY.
The morning of my wedding I discovered they delivered the incorrect linens. I called my salesperson and she looked into it immediately and fixed the situation. The correct linens made it to my venue in PLENTY of time.
My only other complaint is that I put a lot of thought into the timeline of the wedding, and planned for a cake cutting at our bands first break, which was scheduled to be 9:15. This timeline was shared with the caterer. At 8:30 they asked when the cake would be cut my mom responded "at the bands first break." At 8:40, the lead of the event pressured my mom to request the band to break for the cake cutting without talking to me, which caused a little confusion on our end, but ultimately didn't have an effect on the day. It's just confusing to me why I shared my timeline with them when they didn't adhere to it.
Overall I recommend a taste of excellence! They had so many unique food choices on their menu, and the only real problem was the linens, which was solved! I had several people tell me that it's the best wedding food they've ever had. -

We were very excited to use Taste of Excellence at the Mapleside barn, the food was outstanding. However, I was passed between three different wedding coordinators throughout the year. The first time nobody reached out to tell my my coordinator was gone and I wrote several emails to her that I never heard back from. The caterers tried to charge me a $200 security fee that I had already paid to Mapleside, glad I noticed it was on both contracts. (Never once did we see a security person at the wedding.) Do not expect the coordinator to make sure your night runs smoothly. They are the for the meals and setup, that’s about it. The schedule of events is for you to stress about on your wedding day and not their event coordinator (should have hired another wedding coordinator). They told me my guests needed parking passes, weeks after my invitations went out so I had no way of getting them to all of my guests. I was reviewing messages the night before my wedding asking which table the parents are sitting at, things they should have asked a week in advanced. Bottom line, extremely unorganized and stressful!
