A Stone’s Throw Winery in San Juan Capistrano was the perfect outdoor wedding venue and everything we could have ever dreamed of! The atmosphere at AST is absolutely stunning with a beautiful canopy above the reception area and twinkling bistros lights carefully strung over the entire area. It made for the perfect upscale, yet comfortable feel for our wedding of about 140 in October. We loved everything about the venue and working with the staff. The on site sound system for cocktail hour was totally epic and there are so many different areas on site for casual seating during cocktails, a lounge area, tons of space for parking/valet, a separate ceremony space, gorgeous orange orchards for photos, historic buildings that house a bride and grooms quarters and even tons of extra space for photos booths or other vendors. Our out of towner guests loved the orange orchard look - it felt quintessential Orange County and provided a beautiful backdrop for tons of wedding photos. Above all else, the food was killer! We went with the taco bar/Mexican Buffett and we still have guests from our big day raving about the chicken enchiladas! Some guests said it’s the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. I can’t recommend AST enough - the staff was fantastic, everything ran smoothly and it looked absolutely gorgeous!

It’s also in a great location for anyone looking to do first look photos at Mission San Juan Capistrano (up the street!) or host an after party at any of the local SJC bars (also up the street!).

We do it over it again at A Stone’s Throw if we could!

Our wedding venue was cancelled and we found a Stones Throw Winery. Beautiful, rustic venue, exactly what we wanted.
Seemed a little understaffed at first but it all came together.
Our wedding was magical. The staff was great. Our only real complaint was that our night went too quickly!

Two weeks before our postponed wedding (during COVID-19 pandemic), our venue canceled on us. We were devastated. Fortunately, we found A Stone's Throw Winery online and reached out to the venue. It was a perfect venue. The winery is on a three-acre property, which was perfect for an outdoor wedding during the pandemic. The coordinator and staff were so supportive and planned our wedding with us in two weeks. It was a miracle. On the day of our wedding, the entire staff was so accommodating and friendly. Many of our guests complemented on the service and friendliness of the staff. Thank you, Lisa Wagoner and Iva Lee's catering staff for all your help!

We had a wonderful time and everyone at the venue made it easy. Loved the food and the DJ.

Great wine, abut a little pricy. Overall a great quality, service, professionalism and timely response. would recommend for any bride. Wine ranges from $25-35/ bottle

The venue rental fee alone is 10.5k, not 5.5k or less. No tables or chairs. Just the venue with the associated amenities. Not ideal for someone who only wants to book for 6 hours or less.
