    Emily and her team area Awesome!

    Emily jumped on board right after we got engaged with the wedding only 2 months away. She did an amazing job coordinating and dialing in all of the details for our wedding. We had over 120 people and the wedding day went absolutely perfect. Great communication and execution.

    Phenomenal Experience *****

    A wedding is never something I could have ever planned without my amazing husband teaming up with Emily! I have never met anyone so on top of their game as! I was so grateful for every minute I spent with this woman. She was fun to be around and authentic to her core. She brought laughter to every hint of frustration and genuine kindness to any awkwardness drifting in the room. What you see is what you get someone that gets to the point and solves problems. She felt more like a friend than someone we hired to plan our wedding. So blessed and grateful for the experience and would do it all over again in the same way if I had to.

    Exceptional Wedding Planner Who Saved the Day (and My Dress)!

    We hired Mandi as our wedding planner, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision!

    Leading up to the wedding, she went above and beyond our expectations. She helped us refine our design vision and even showed up in person to coordinate with our vendors. She truly understood what we were looking for and worked closely with our florist and other vendors to make sure every detail was perfect.

    On the wedding day, she was absolutely amazing. She took care of everything, allowing us to enjoy a completely stress-free day. We had an early morning photoshoot on a cliffside and in the forest, which left my dress completely soiled. When we called her for advice, she immediately sprang into action. After confirming there were no nearby cleaners available on short notice, she came to us with cleaning supplies and did a phenomenal job restoring the dress—it looked almost like new!

    Mandi was an incredible part of our wedding day. Her professionalism, creativity, and quick thinking made all the difference. We’re so grateful to her for helping us have the perfect wedding day. Highly recommend!

    Wonderful and Professional

    Mandi did a phenomenal job working with us to plan our wedding and carry out all the duties of the day! She was so friendly and helpful and I felt an immediate comfortability with her when we met. She accommodated us in so many ways and gave great advice and guidance while we planned our wedding from out of town. On the day of our wedding, she took care of everything and allowed us to truly enjoy the day knowing she had everything under control. I would recommend her ten times over and we can’t thank her enough for all she did for us!

    Get a coordinator!

    Mandi and her team were fantastic! We used her vendors and they were all fantastic. I was the Mother of the Bride, and she took such a burden off of my shoulders. I enjoyed the day almost as if I were a guest

    Emily was amazing!

    We had such a great experience with Emily. She was extremely organized and on top of EVERYTHING which was beyond helpful! She was always available to answer questions and was great at anticipating what we were going to need as well as a great communicator with all of our vendors. We would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a planner!

    A perfect wedding!

    Emily was wonderful! She made the entire wedding preparation process so organized and smooth and was always available and responsive to our questions. Her knowledge and experience was invaluable in making sure all that needed to be done and followed up with was handled timely. Her interaction with our venue and vendors helped insure everyone was on the same page and on our wedding day all went perfectly! We were able to just focus on our day and family and friends knowing Emily was there to take care of everything else!

    Mandi is a Must!

    If you are looking for a wedding planner - look no further than Mandi! I really wanted to make sure my wedding was amazing and everything I wanted - but was worried that what I was envisioning could get lost in translation when working with a planner. That was definitely not the case with Mandi! She took the time not only get to know me extremely well but also my mom so that she could balance and deliver against what I ultimately wanted my special day to look and feel like but also keep it within our budget. Mandi was there for everything and anything we needed throughout the planning process all the way through the reception. I was able to trust her implicitly for any last minute details or changes that needed to be made because I knew she had my best interests and more importantly my taste at heart and would make the same choice I would. So I could really relax and take the day in. All to say, my wedding turned out to be the best wedding I have ever been to. Not only that, but I continue to get compliments from those that attended about how memorable it was as well - so if you are looking for someone that will truly make your wedding the best day of your life you absolutely need to choose Mandi!

    Stress Free Monterey Wedding

    My husband and I were very lucky to work with Mandi Nack at A Sparkling Event. I remembered Mandi specifically because she was my sisters wedding planner and she became part of our family.

    We worked with Mandi at A Sparkling Event for the last 6 weeks of wedding planning. She ensured all contracts with vendors were handled and made sure everyone was on schedule for the big day. Mandi even printed out a detailed itinerary for the entire wedding party so that they knew where and when to be at specific locations. I’m not kidding when I say my wedding ran so smoothly and stress free. There are so many details we as brides don’t think of on our actual day and Mandi handles everything and walks you, your family and bridal party through every step with ease. I got to actually enjoy every second of my wedding! She really became part of our family and even took amazing memorable behind the scene photos for us. Everyone loved her. She made sure everyone stayed on schedule and had a great time. My husband and I always had a drink in our hand and actually ate the food! If you want to actually enjoy your wedding and all of your hard work I 100 % recommend this company. They really go above and beyond and will even make sure your grandma is taken care of and gets home safe. If you forget something important, BAM they go get it. No stress ever. There was even a medical emergency at our wedding and my husband and I had no idea because she handled the entire thing with such grace. Trust me when I say this company is worth it! They are truly amazing and will ensure everything goes smoothly!

    I cannot say enough great things about working with Mandi from a sparkling event. We worked with Mandi though a partial wedding package and she was instrumental in helping to answer all our many, many questions and handled those of my husband and parents as well with such grace, patience, and experience. As someone who likes to be involved in as many things as possible and control as much as possible, Mandi helped reassure me that I didn’t have to worry about all of the little details, that she would take care of it all and truly understood what I was looking for to help make our wedding day a day we will never forgot and most importantly stress-free!     Could not have pulled off our wedding without Emily!!

    We are so incredibly grateful that we found Emily to help us coordinate our wedding. We did a destination wedding in Monterey, so we planned from a distance. Emily made it so easy to make sure we had all of our vendors lined up, did everything on time leading up to the day, and then completely coordinated everyone on the day of the wedding! Not to mention all of the extra things she did for us outside of her job description!! We could not be happier with her and her team’s work. We would highly, highly recommend you go with A Sparkling Event to make sure your wedding goes off without a hitch.

    We’re in a pickle, but A Sparkling Event came to our rescue!

    Because our wedding was originally a COVID wedding (and many of our guests were international- including the groom) many things had to be postponed. What made things worse was that our venue decided to change their policies even after having signed the contracts and would continuously make excuses for not answering simple emails/ basic communication. It became a truly horrible situation.
    I was able to get in contact with Emily from A Sparkling Event through wedding wire, and she was able to make the whole situation so much better. We didn’t have to deal with the venue almost at all (who were asking for their money when not even having had sent over the invoices).
    She is fantastic. She was able to help us setup, store our decor, suggest great bakery/ additional food/ child care options, and all the final bits and ends.
    I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs help on their big day.
    We also had a couple of events scheduled for the day before the wedding, and she was able to help us with those events as well.
    She is truly great!

    We love Emily!

    We found A Sparkling Event through our venue's preferred vendor list and we really liked Emily from the start. She is extremely easy to get along with, super organized, really fun (our bridal party loved hanging out with her and getting to know her during our rehearsal and on the day of), and really great at coordinating with other vendors. Emily made our day go extremely smoothly, and our wedding day actually went perfectly. We loved that A Sparkling Event provided several options for how involved we wanted them to be, but ironically, our only regret is not booking Emily and her team fully for the whole year. Something we were really impressed with was Emily's amazing recall for even small things that we mentioned to her briefly or in passing. She was great at communicating exactly what we wanted with the venue and other vendors. We love Emily and highly recommend booking A Sparkling Event to ensure your day goes perfectly!

    We had Danica as our wedding coordinator and she was absolutely amazing! From day one, she impressed us with her attention to detail, hard work, relentless attempts to contact vendors, enthusiasm, brilliant ideas and warm personality. She always gave more than 100% to her work and it was reflected in our wedding day which we enjoyed tremendously.     Emily was amazing!

    My wife and I are really glad we got a wedding planner. Emily helped us by coordinating with our vendors and making sure we weren't missing anything important during the planning process. It was great having a single person to talk to that could answer any and all questions related to the wedding. Our favorite part about working with Emily was that she was able to negotiate with our venue to customize the ceremony and reception which was something they were originally strict on. Overall we were very happy to have Emily be our planner and would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat.

    The best wedding planner

    Booking A Sparkling Event for our wedding was the best decision we could have made. As soon as we reached out to ask for availability, they responded within less than 24 hours. Mandi, the owner, was so nice and professional, and very client centered. Emily was our wedding coordinator and she was literally the best person we could have hired for our wedding. Although we hired her as the month of coordinator, she was always there for us from the very beginning of our wedding planning journey. She gave us advice, was budget conscious, and she sincerely cared about our wants. She was our best friend. Every time we had a question, Emily was always there to answer, she was quick to respond. She always made us feel comfortable coming to her with any questions. Emily is very organized, punctual, has awesome communication, and goes above and beyond. She was also a great advocate for us :) We received multiple comments from family members complimenting how organized our wedding was, and thats all thanks to Emily and her work.     Absolutely Phenomenal

    I am at a loss for words with your review, Mandi. You were so far above and beyond what I ever thought a planner provided for their clients. From the 3 hour phones calls and not jumping off until every last question was answered, to fully handling the overwhelming amount of items that our venue required, to coming up with creative ways to get what we needed, to finding ways to save us money on our contracts without us even asking (and when it ultimately creates more work for you!!). We would have been so lost without you. You 100% were our fairy god mother throughout the entire process. You were worth every single penny and then some. Just know the insane amount of work and heavy lifting did not gone unnoticed. Every bride and groom should benefit from having a Mandi in their corner! You are such a great listener, you’re assertive and take initiative, and you’re so knowledgeable. You were meant for this job. Thank you thank you thank you for all of your guidance and for tackling the major items (all of the vendor coordination) and the smallest of tasks (grabbing us all champagne before we walked out, not letting my forget my veil for sunset photos, etc., etc., etc.!). It made our lives so much easier and enabled us to focus on the wedding weekend, each other, and our loved ones. You are such a gift.     Best money ever spent- flawless experience!

    Working with Mandi and her team was an absolute dream. We originally connected with Mandi the end of 2019 to help plan our June 2020 wedding. I really appreciated our initial phone call where she really heard me out of what kind of support I was looking for and she recommended the best way and planning package that made sense for my needs and did not try to up sell me at all. She already gave me such amazing advice and tips upfront that helped me get into the right mindset of wedding planning. We ended up selecting the partial wedding package… but boy did we get WAY more than what we paid for. Due to COVID we ended up having two reschedule TWICE and each time Mandi managed all of the rescheduling with the venue and ALL of the vendors. She literally managed all of it and removed so much of the stress of having to reschedule. I couldn’t believe it when she offered BOTH times and was prompt about keeping me updated. Not to mention during such a crazy time when I’m sure things weren’t easy for her and her team given the pause in the wedding industry. Then we we were finally started to approach our final date in Oct 2021, she made my life so easy. She spend so many hours on the phone with me understanding everything I wanted, walking me through so many detailed and helping me make so many decisions. She also made me so at ease about how she planned to take care of everything the day of and then days leading up. When there was a hiccup a few days before the wedding with a lot of table numbers, programs, etc getting ruined—- she handled EVERYTHING!! Then I literally had zero stress the day off the wedding because her and her team took care of everything. When I think about all the money we spent for our wedding… hiring Mandi and her team was the best money we spent

    Must hire!!

    We didn't realize how much we needed a wedding coordinator until we hired Emily from A Sparkling Event!! A Sparkling Event was one of our venue's preferred vendors and when we reached out to them, we got a prompt response so we hired them immediately. We worked with Emily and she kept us organized and calm throughout the planning process. She would check in with us regularly and was always available whenever we had any questions or concerns. When my initial hair/makeup vendor cancelled on me 3 months before the wedding, she was able to quickly find me a new hair/makeup vendor! She even picked up my wedding dress and my husband's shirt and delivered them to get steamed right before the wedding! She thought of things to do/needed that we would never have thought of!! She coordinated with all our hired vendors to create a timeline for our wedding day. On our wedding day, she helped supervise the placement of our personal wedding items, reminded us to eat and ensured that we followed our timeline. We are very grateful for Emily's help! If you are having a wedding, definitely hire A Sparkling Event!!

    The Very Best!

    Mandi is amazing!
    My wife and I got engaged in December of 2019 and started dreaming of a destination wedding in Carmel. Our first and best move was reaching out to Mandi! We lived in Texas and knew we would need help with planning in California. She was so kind and so helpful. All the vendors she recommended were top notch and we were so excited to celebrate in June 2020.
    Unfortunately we all know what 2020 ended up looking like. Mandi guided us gently and expertly through our decision to postpone or cancel. When we finally chose to give up on the Carmel dream, she walked through all of it with us. She handled cancelling the vendors and helped us get as much money back as possible. Honestly she was a godsend in a very emotional and stressful time.

    Amazing amazing amazing!

    Best thing I / we could have ever done was to hire Mandi & her team! From the minute we had our 1st call (FaceTime on her way out of town) to the day of our wedding everything was amazing!!!
    She is professional and personable; detailed and caring; thoughtful and resourceful and absolutely gives 150% all the time!

    We relocated from Gilroy to GA in the middle of planning for our Carmel wedding and even when that happened Mandi and her awesome team stepped up to reassure me / us everything would go seamlessly and it did and then some!!!

    Words alone can't begin to describe how many time Mandi was there for me; I freaked out and she would calm me down! She and my hubby got along great too and he was just as impressed as I was on the day of! and after actually! From mailing our belongings to us in GA to reminding me to get my dressed cleaned :) From A to Z there is no problem to big for her and her team to solve!

    There is no way as the bride I could have pulled off the best day of our lives like she did! It was the most beautiful and perfect ceremony and reception ever! Our family and guests still rave about it!

    I have a girlfriend for life for sure!!!! Thank you, Mandi & Team for giving us the best gift ever! Our wedding day was beyond perfect and to start our marriage off like that was a bonus!!!

    Peace of Mind

    I hired A Sparkling Event for wedding coordination services for my October wedding this year. I would have loved to hire Mandi for full wedding planning services; however, my budget was completely inflexible. Cautiously optimistic, I decided to plan my wedding with support from A Sparkling Event. Mandi and her wonderful team set me up with an online planning tool and a complete list of suggested vendors. Once I got the ball rolling, planning wasn’t as daunting as I thought it would be and knowing that I could reach out to Mandi and Emily anytime with questions or concerns put me at ease.
    About six weeks before my wedding, check ins with the team became more regular and eventually I turned everything I had planned over to A Sparkling Event. Mandi and her team confirmed with all my vendors, coordinated with the venue, created a day of timeline, and essentially offered any additional support that I needed to make sure we were ready for the big day (as ready as one can realistically be).
    At our rehearsal, Mandi made sure we felt confident about the schedule of events for the next day and even created a cheat sheet, so we knew where everybody needed to be and when. It was a total life saver for our large and distractible wedding party. On the day of our wedding, I felt incredibly calm knowing that, at that point, I had done everything I could, and the rest was in Mandi’s capable hands. Our wedding went off without a hitch, or if things did go wrong, I never knew about it, which is ultimately the best outcome you can ask for! Thank you, Mandi and Emily, – you two are the best!

    Mandi is worth every penny!

    Our October Carmel Valley wedding was perfect, in part due to Mandi and A Sparkling Events services. They helped tremendously throughout the planning process, working well with the vendors, my family, and me and my husband. She was intuitive and knowledgeable about the venue, location, and general runnings of a wedding. She thought of everything.

    Day of - she handled everything! Not only that, but while we were taking pictures, she brought appetizers while we were taking pictures. The small touches like that show how thoughtful and overall good she is at her job. Things went off schedule, due to my husband and I taking longer than we expected talking to everyone during dinner, and she adjusted everything seamlessly! Thanks to Mandi, I was the least stressed bride!

    Rehearsal Dinner Planning for Mother of the Groom

    Mandi managed the rehearsal dinner that we hosted for our son and his bride. Having a destination event, required that I have a local and experienced person working with me. Mandi was perfect, as she had insight into the bride's preferences, yet worked with me as the host. She managed the venue staff, the photographer, florist, and decorating details. I was able to ship supplies directly to her and she handled all the details. The winery garden dinner for 45 was flawless!

    Most impressive was the personal service and quick replies during the planning and organizing.
    She's a kind and generous person who happens to be an amazing professional event planner!

    Can't recommend Mandi highly enough. We had a weekend wedding at Seascape, and she made sure everything went perfectly - the rehearsal dinner, the wedding and the Sunday brunch. Lots of moving parts and last-minute requests, and she handled it all perfectly. I'm a tough grader, and she gets an A+.

    Mandi - we love you! My new husband and I hired Mandi a year before our wedding. She was always responsive, energetic, informative and always smiling. We were married in Carmel this past March '17 and she stuck with us every step of the way as we figured out what we wanted and needed. Mandi was always patient but firm when she had suggestions she knew would only make our day better in ways we weren't aware of. We miss her now that we no longer get to see her regularly.     Mandi Nack was our wedding planner for our recent wedding at The Lodge in Pebble Beach. My wife Janice and I have been working with Mandi for about 6 months and she is undoubtedly the best wedding planner on the planet! Mandi first of all is quite personable, friendly and professional. Mandi takes the time to get to know you as a couple and as people. We are not just clients to her. We were made to feel like family by Mandi and her highly professional team. Mandi took the time to understand our history, our desires for a destination wedding in Pebble Beach (Janice and I live in the Seattle, WA area) and what things we wanted in the wedding to make it a success for us. From the first time we met Mandi, we felt at ease with her and it is obvious that Mandi is only concerned with providing you with the best wedding experience you can have,
    Mandi is well known in the Monterey Peninsula and her network of vendors (Officients, Singers, Musicians, Venue Management, Caterers, Chefs, DJs, Decorators etc. is quite extensive. It is obvious that all the vendors think quite highly of Mandi and her connections allowed us to have the best vendors available for our special day. Mandi chose 6 possible venues in the Carmel, Carmel Valley and Pebble Beach areas for us to look at. But she wasn't pushy at all. She allowed us to savor each venue and determine for ourselves what kind of place we wanted to get married in. We eventually settled for the Lodge at Pebble Beach. But at each venue, her relationship with the venue management was quite apparent. Once we settled on the Lodge, Mandi and her team worked tirelessly for months on every conceivable detail. Mandi is always available for questions anytime of the day or night. At the day of the wedding, Mandi and her team are there, helping with every detail. Mandi is tireless in trying to give her clients the best wedding experience ever. Janice and I highly recommend Mandi and her team. As I said, they are family!

    Mandi and her team were AMAZING! I hired Mandi as a month of coordinator and she was helpful from the start. We spoke a few times before the big day and she answered the multitude of questions I had, as well as responding to emails along the way. I met with Mandi the day before my wedding and she was FABULOUS - not only did we go over ever little detail, but she offered to deliver my guest baskets for me AND helped to set up my rehearsal dinner (which I later discovered was a lifesaver because the restaurant had not set it up properly!). She ran my rehearsal with a 23-person wedding party like a pro and with a smile! On the wedding day, she took care of everything and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Doesn't hurt that she is a sweetheart, too. I would HIGHLY recommend her, best money I spent!!!

    Hiring Emily at A Sparkling Event was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding in Carmel this past April. We could not have done it without her and her team! She is amazing! We live in Texas and she put us at ease planning a wedding from out-of-state. She was extremely organized, making our wedding day absolutely stress-free. We knew we were in good hands! She was so responsive during the months before our wedding, answering any questions we had and dealing with any issues that came up. She went above and beyond to make sure that our day was incredibly special! She even slipped away during the reception and somehow managed to decorate our getaway car.     There are many things that you will doubt in the months, weeks, and days leading up to your wedding. But I can confidently say that hiring Mandi Nack and her extraordinary team over at A Sparkling Event was not one of them. Mandi TRULY gave us the wedding of our dreams. She heard every wish, hope, and desire we expressed and saw to it personally that the things we held most sacred were honored and intact on our special day. She helped us find and hire impeccable vendors who were local to the area and on the day of the wedding she took care of EVERYTHING. We had a more beautiful, fun and love filled wedding than I ever could’ve imagined. Our family and friends (and strangers on the internet) are still raving about it; and I believe in my heart of hearts that none of this would have been possible without her.     There is no question that the best decision we made for our wedding was to hire "a Sparkling Event". Not only are they lovely people, but they're also sensational at what they do. Emily was a saving grace for my wife and I, keeping us on track and feeling stress-free. Not sure where we would've ended up had it not been for her!

    Mandi at a sparkling event had already been More of a help than I thought! When we met I knew I wanted to work with her as she helped me tie my ideas together of what I wanted for my wedding. We still have many months to go but having her on my phone call list makes things much less stressful!

    Now after my wedding day I can truly say things would not have gone as well or been as fun without the help of Mandi and her team. She kept things going and used her creativity to solve problems that began to happen due to weather and time constraints. Thank you for an amazing day!!

    Mandi has a magical way to bring your wedding day vision to life. When my husband and I got engaged, we were looking to have a destination wedding. We knew we needed someone to work with who was knowledgable of the wedding industry and dependable. Our first call with Mandi, we immediately picked up on her professionalism and reliability. These were two things that were most important to us in addition to credibility, which Mandi was. With only six months to plan a destination wedding, she was ready to get to work and helped us adapt to any new or unexpected changes to our wedding plans. Mandi worked within our budget and kept things real with us. Having Mandi with us at venue, rental and floral appointments was extremely beneficial. She asked all the right questions we wouldn’t have known to ask at ourselves. The entire wedding process is already extremely overwhelming and it was a relief to know we had someone in our corner helping us out - someone who is familiar with the ropes. She gracefully conducted thorough research, priced out vendors and coordinated with all vendors for the day of. Having Mandi and her staff available on your big day is when you witness your ROI (return on investment). While you and the rest of the wedding party are getting ready for the day, she is at the ceremony/reception site making sure there are no hiccups and everything is running smoothly. It is inevitable that something WILL happen the day of your wedding - it happened to us. Mandi, our wedding coordinator, who was well versed with our vision and knew all the contract details because she had been involved since the first day of planning, quickly resolved a problem/miscommunication between what was contracted and what was delivered for our lighting set-up.This is something that could have easily been missed or ignored if we had worked with a “day of coordinator”, someone who wasn’t involved from the first day of planning (if the venue you select even offers one).

    Mandi is the embodiment of the ideal wedding planner. She is cheerful, accommodating, prompt, responsive, and very creative. She knows all the right vendors and she is a wonderful guide. Mandi helped me plan my wedding from overseas with about 20 people who flew in from Europe, and 30 locals. We had our wedding in Big Sur, where logistics are crazy, but she made sure everyone and everything was taken care of. Mandi has the effectiveness of a Type A personality, with the easy-going attitude of a Type B. She is like the bridal whisperer (!) because she made me feel so good and happy throughout the whole experience. She is a total professional who plans for every possibility. Besides, she has impeccable taste and her floral arrangements are incredible. My wedding was absolutely flawless and I know it's because I hired Mandi. Thank you, Mandi!

    After getting married this past summer, I can see why people get so stressed planning a wedding! It is such a huge event that only happens once, and for us, one of the best decisions was hiring Mandi as the wedding coordinator. She truly relieved so much stress because she had everything figured out down to the minute.

    It was amazing to talk with her leading up to the day, but what really impressed my husband and I, was how present she was throughout the entire day of our wedding. She somehow coordinated all the tiny details and made us feel truly supported and even pampered! She drove me from my hotel to the church, transferred my luggage, had her assistant helping the groomsmen with boutonnieres, helped gather our family for pictures, gave us snacks right after the ceremony, had the waiters bring us appetizers and champagne when we got to the reception, snuck us over to the ballroom for a quick peek before everyone started piling in, and the entire night asked us if we needed anything at all. At one point, we were taking a some pictures outside and Jake needed a pick me up, Mandi offered to bring him an espresso which he was so thankful for and still talks about today! At the very end of the night, when everyone already left, she even brought up this huge flower arrangement to our hotel room.

    Mandi goes above and beyond. Her energy is just amazing which is so important during this type of once in a lifetime experience (which can be a bit overwhelming at times). We were blown away by her thoughtfulness and just can't say enough about her : ) She was a huge part of why our wedding day was absolutely the best day of our lives!

    We are so grateful Mandi was there for our daughters wedding in Monterey on June 18, 2016. She helped organize our day and managed to be everywhere . From getting ready early, to the Carmel Mission, to the Monterey Plaza, from beginning to end, she was always one step ahead of us so we had no worries. The day was beautiful.

    Mandi was fantastic! She was very professional, and has a friendly demeanor that makes the process painless (while also charming all of our wedding guests!). She was a life-saver and there's no way we could've pulled off the day without her. We enlisted the help of A Sparkling Event after realizing that we were way over our heads. We had selected venues (ceremony at The Mission and lunch reception at Carmel Valley Ranch), but only had 3 months to pull it together. Since I reside in SF (with a fiance abroad at the time, and arriving only a couple of months prior to the wedding), it was a challenge to plan and coordinate meetings in an efficient manner. Selecting local vendors that could work within our budget was also a daunting task, since we had to rely solely on information we could find on the internet. I found A Sparkling Event on a list of preferred vendors for Carmel Valley Ranch and Mandi took over from there. She helped coordinate and plan prior to the wedding day and was on site with an assistant the day of.

    A few gems to note:
    - From my first consultation call, Mandi was friendly, informative and extremely reasonable in regards to fee.
    - Other than selecting the ceremony and reception venue (we secured them prior to contacting Mandi), Mandi found all the other vendors through her large network of local connections (folks I would've never found on my own!)
    - Mandi had extensive experience working with our venues.
    - Mandi understood my desired aesthetic and worked tirelessly to achieve them, all while being very sensitive to our budget restrictions. There were a few times that a very particular item that I wanted was not available due to vendor unavailability or budget restrictions. In other times, I had a concept, but no suggestion as to how to make it come to fruition. In all cases, Mandi always had design suggestions that worked with the budget.
    I recommend Mandi wholeheartedly!

    I never understood how invaluable a service wedding planning until I met Mandi at A Sparkling Event!

    My husband and I got married August 8, 2015 on the Naval Base in Monterey with a lot of rules and extra details that Mandi took care of for us. Although we had booked the "big" vendors Mandi took over all the small details from there such as making sure she contacted all the vendors with timelines and where they needed to be since the Naval Base had strict rules on when vendors could arrive to set-up and take down.

    She notified the photographers, hair and make-up what time they needed to be with me and my husband to get ready and take pictures as we had two photographers to make the day run more smoothly.

    I saw her only a handful of times the day of the event, but was always close by, which was perfect because I knew she was running the show and taking the extra stress off of me and my families. My mom, dad, husband, groomsmen, and bridesmaids were all able to enjoy the morning of the wedding because A Sparkling Event was taking care of everything! Mandi brings along with her two assistants to aid in making your day extra special and to which I owe one my sincerest gratitude to!

    It was about 15 minutes until show time did I or anyone notice that I had forgot my veil in the hotel room. One of Mandi's assistants jumped into action and drove back to our room to get it and was still able to make it back before the wedding started.

    Mandi is super flexible, reliable, organized fun, and sweet! She made sure all of my questions and concerns were taken care of, organized and ran the rehearsal and ceremony, and ran the reception to keep everything on time! She stayed until the bitter end, helping my family and I take down the decorations, load the cars up with presents all with a huge smile on her face!

    If you are planning an event in the Monterey area look NO further than Mandi and A Sparkling Event! Thank you Mandi, you made our day perfect! :)

    My mom found Mandi for our late September wedding at the Monterey Plaza after realizing that we were going to be over our heads with planning our whole wedding on our own. And I am extremely happy that she did. I honestly don't know what we would have done without Mandi. And I truly mean that. She went above and beyond our expectations helping us to find many of our vendors and setting up and attending multiple meetings. She was there every step of the way for ANY questions that I had. My mom found most of our decor for the wedding and Mandi stored almost all of it for us at her office so that we wouldn't be overwhelmed bringing it all down at once for the wedding.

    Mandi really worked her butt off for us the days leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day. She had schedules printed to give out to our wedding party and families at the rehearsal and set up taxis/ubers from the Plaza to the rehearsal dinner site. She even drove some people herself! I didn't have to worry about a thing. Multiple people commented on how great she was. And the day of the wedding I trusted her to do everything necessary to get vendors there on time, the ceremony and rehearsal venues set up, and literally everything else that needed to be done. Allowing me to really relax and enjoy getting ready with my bridesmaids. I truly wasn't worried about something not getting done. If anything happened during the time we were getting ready I was none the wiser, which is exactly how it should be. The whole weekend was incredible. And to just top off the night, when my husband and I got back from the after party our hotel room was decorated with petals, candles, and some decor from the wedding. There were also two slices of our wedding cake, dessert from our dessert bar at the reception, chocolate covered strawberries, and champagne with a note from Mandi congratulating us. We were in awe. We will honestly miss our planning meetings with Mandi. Highly highly recommend her services!

    With only 30 days to work with before our wedding, we contacted Mandi and explained to her exactly what we wanted. She arranged everything including a Pebble Beach wedding location, catering, photography, flowers, cake, hotel rooms, and an incredible wedding officiant. All we had to do was show up. The day went perfectly thanks to Mandi and her team. Every time we look at our wedding photos, we are reminded of Mandi and the special day she created for us.

    Mandi and her team at A Sparkling Event did were invaluable to our wedding! We hired Mandi as a Day-of-Coordinator, but her guidance and services went above and beyond. We met with her several times in the months prior to wedding to make sure that we were on track. When my husband and I were feeling overwhelmed in the final weeks before the wedding, we were calmed and comforted by her professionalism, positive attitude, and the knowledge that she and her team would do a great job!

    Our venue did not include any services, so the Sparkling Event team was essential to setting up and making sure that everything went as planned. Amy and Andrew, the on-site coordinators for the day, transformed the empty room that our reception was held in, into a beautiful setting that we couldn’t even have imagined. Amy made sure that every detail was just right and that my husband and I were comfortable throughout the day. Andrew even took on the role of MC, when the person that we hired left early!

    When we first started planning our wedding, my husband and I thought hiring a wedding coordinator may be too much of a strain on the budget, and we considered not hiring one. We were so wrong! Hiring A Sparkling Event was one of the smartest decisions that we made and I can’t imagine our wedding without their excellent services!

    Mandy is a lovely, even keeled, hardworking person. Having her help plan our event was invaluable. There is no way we could have done it with out her- she recommended trustworthy, quality vendors and smoothed out any issues. She has a great presence and is very organized. She kept up with our crazy indian wedding despite many snafus and delays- the Monterrey airport was practically shut down that weekend.     Mandi is incredible!! She went above and beyond to make our wedding day truly magical! While we hired Mandi to be our day of wedding coordinator, she did far more than that. She made herself available to us in the months before our wedding to help us plan every detail. She is very professional, and she is dedicated to making sure the bride and groom and their families get to enjoy every moment of their wedding. I highly recommend Mandi and her team!

    Mandi is absolutely fantastic at making weddings go smoothly. I have no idea how my husband and I would have managed without her. I was very impressed with her level of organization and making sure everyone stayed focused at our rehearsal. There were so many things that needed attention and she made sure all our ducks were in a row. I nearly settled on a something that I didn’t like out of convenience and unwillingness to speak up on what I really wanted. Mandi assured me that we could certainly make my dreams a reality and her suggestion for a Plan B worked out perfectly. In short, Mandi Nack’s attention to detail and ability to bring out the best in people makes her an excellent wedding planner and I hope you will let her help make your special day a memory you will always treasure.

    Don't get married with out a wedding planner! Call Mandi as soon as you get your ring, discuss what you need, want, expect- and relax while she handles everything right up until and on the big day. She even stopped by our rehearsal dinner to make sure everyone was set for the next day. Mandi WILL help make your big day better.

    Mandi Nack was without a doubt worth every penny. She made our wedding day the best time of our lives. She helped with everything from picking flowers to setting up our venue. She was very sweet and kind to us and had absolute professionalism. Our planning days were very stress free and even the day of our wedding we were not stressed one bit because Mandi made us confident everything was going to be smooth. She worked hard for us and was very patient when we changed our mind on things. We didn't have to worry about vendors or any hidden cost because she was very upfront with us on everything. I don't think I'll ever need her again but I promise if I were to get remarried she will be my number one pick even if I have to fly her across the country or out of. I highly recommend her because I remember my wedding day and not the stresses of planning one because of Mandi.

    Mandi Nack's A Sparkling Event was a godsend and Mandi herself was worth her weight in gold. I am proud to give her the highest possible recommendation.

    Initially we had opted to plan our wedding ourselves, but as the months went by it became apparent we needed help. Mandi quickly and effortlessly got to know us and took control. She efficiently and conscientiously gathered and assessed our preferences and matched us up with the appropriate vendors and coordinated meeting times. Her communication was always prompt and she struck a perfect balance between assertiveness and courtesy, even as pressure built and the big day approached. She was flexible in her meeting times despite our busy work and school schedules but had no problem dedicating hours at a time to planning sessions and personal introductions to vendors. Text messages and emails never lagged. She gracefully worked with my bride's mother and maid of honor, including them and using all possible input while always keeping the bride's best interest in mind. And for all of this, she's one of the most cost-effective wedding planners around, and on top of that never stressed about payments.

    This is my first (and hopefully only!) wedding, so I can't compare or speak from experience. However, MANY of my and my wife's best friends (some of whom had attended almost a wedding a month just this last year) admitted that ours was the best they'd ever been too, even better than their own! Obviously a great wedding is more than just a planner, but I'm certain that Mandi was integral to our wedding's huge success.

    Most of all it's clear she loves what she does. Mandi is cheerful, warm, personable and totally dedicated. She was with us from (sudden) beginning to the very end, and by the time the big day arrived she really felt like a true friend, whom I'd have just as soon invited as a guest. I imagine she won't be as affordable as she is for long.

    Mandi was an absolute godsend. I reached out to her about six months prior to my wedding. My first impressions of Mandi were that she was a fantastic listener, very knowledgeable (rattled of prices of chair costs, etc), organized, and action oriented. When my husband and I met Mandi in person, she was incredibly organized (had a binder full of our wedding details) and we knew we were in good hands!
    She did a terrific job taking the stress / logistics out of my hands and managed the vendors during crunch time. My photographer even commented how wonderful Mandi was without me even asking. When you get unsolicited compliments like that, you know that she must have made a great impression. Mandi did a great job offering making recommendations on our timeline. We seriously had no clue what the appropriate flow for the wedding should be and I was so exhausted of making decisions so it was awesome to have someone guiding us through the process.

    I'm kind of a control freak but Mandi made me so comfortable and every time I asked her any type of question she was on top of it. The day of, I was incredibly relaxed and was so happy to enjoy the day and really focus on my husband and having fun with my friends and family. I didn't have to pick up a phone or manage any of the logistical aspects of my wedding. Mandi went above and beyond and stayed at my wedding until the very end. Herding 30 drunk people into a shuttle is not an easy job, but Mandi was always smiling and had an awesome attitude throughout the entire day.

    Mandi went above and beyond my expectations. Instead of having my florist stay and clean up and charging me another arm and a leg, Mandi offered to help out and clean up the flowers. She also left my husband and I a treat in our room, which was incredibly thoughtful. I would highly recommend Mandi for your wedding day. She is an awesome wedding planner :)

    There are not enough words in the English language or enough characters allotted by wedding wire to fully express how amazing it was working with Mandi on my wedding.

    She is so incredibly warm and friendly but still incredibly professional, exceptionally creatively, and completely dedicated to giving her brides the wedding of their dreams - even when they are like me and have loads of trouble figuring out exactly what that is other than people having a great time!

    The first 9 months of my planning process was spent on Guam which is nearly 6,000 miles away from California and across the international date line which made scheduling phone meetings quite challenging. But while I often became despondent during our seemingly endless search for a reception venue that had availability to match the Carmel Mission, Mandi was optimistic and positive the whole time and continued to reassure me that she would make it work.

    And make it work she did. From finding the Quail Lodge to connecting us with the most amazing and flexible vendors, to overall being the best, most calming, helpful, and creative planner I ever dreamed of, Mandi went above and beyond in every way!

    As stressful as our planning was, I would get married to my husband again if Mandi would plan the wedding simply to have the opportunity to work with her again!!!

    Probably the best thing we did for our wedding was hire Mandi and A Sparkling Event for Day of Coordination. Our wedding- it was pretty much perfect; a lot of that we can credit to Mandi. Mandi was perfect for us. She was very professional and clearly knew what she was talking about. She gave us suggestions for vendors and discussed how we could get everything we wanted within our budget. Her experience did make a difference for us.(We would've made so many mistakes!). The day before our wedding our bridesmaid failed to bring our ceremony decorations, BUT that didn't matter! Mandi took care of it without giving us even a little bit of a worry. Here are a few more things Mandi helped us with- she commanded our rehearsal and got a lot of family to listen and make things go fast, she also took notes and coordinated with the venue staff as well, she took care of lining everyone up for the wedding. She managed all of our vendors the day of, kept the bridal party on time (for a group that is never on time), she was a good third party at times and facilitated conversations with our venue when she could tell we weren't getting satisfactory answers.
    She and her assistant decorated/setup/ for our entire wedding reception in under 2 hours and it was better than we had planned. We also hired A Sparkling Event to do our flower arrangements for the bridal party and the reception - absolutely beautiful. We can't thank her enough for giving us such a special day!!!

    We hired Mandi as our day of wedding coordinator and we're so glad we did! Mandi was great to work with before the big day and exceeded our expectations on the day of. Our venue wasn't typical and we had a lot of decor to set up in a short amount of time but Mandi handled everything perfectly. Not the smallest detail was missed. As the bride I was able to fully relax and enjoy the celebration.

    It wasn't until after the wedding that I could fully appreciate Mandi's attentiveness and professionalism behind the scenes. My mother and other guests told me stories of how much she helped out. Like how Mandi ran after some guests when they forgot their favors and how she protected some artwork from a few tipsy guests without anyone being the wiser. I had no idea any of these things were going on, truly the work of a great day of coordinator.

    I originally hired her to just do the day of decorating & keep everyone in line, but I ended up planning & bouncing ideas off of her for over a year. My husband was definitely a hands-off groom & my maid of honor was my younger sister who was still in school, so it was great to have someone to just brainstorm with & try out ideas with. She attended multiple meetings, made all our flower arrangements, helped set up a bridal workshop day to get favors & other décor made & was there on the rehearsal & big day to keep everyone in line. During our wedding, she checked in with my husband & I multiple times to make sure we were doing well & to see if we needed anything. She also did things I didn’t think about, like lighting candles when it became dark, checking the card box to make sure it didn’t need to be emptied & a number of other small details I would have forgot to tell people about. I also liked how Mandi gave us a heads up if a specific part was coming up (ex. Cake cutting) so if we needed to grab a drink, use the restroom, or wrap up a conversation we had time. She was in contact with vendors to make sure they planned to show up at the appropriate time & directed them to wherever they needed to be. No matter how small or big your event may be, I would definitely recommend A Sparkling Event for your next event.

    We met Mandi through a mutual friend of ours, and she is so easy to talk to. Mandi is very friendly, and goes out of her way to make sure people are comfortable. While planning for our wedding day we knew right away that we wanted a wedding coordinator. We both knew that Mandi would be our woMAN for the job. We met with Mandi several times before the big day, and each time Mandi was extremely professional, and was helpful with suggesting different vendors and decoration options.

    When it came to the big day we were both very comfortable knowing that Mandi had our backs. She helped us with all of our floral arrangements, and made boutonnieres and boutiques for us and the wedding party. Mandi even went the extra step, and made arrangements for our rehearsal dinner as well! Everything turned out so beautiful, and I was amazed to see the finished product. Everything ran smoothly the day of our wedding, and we own that to Mandi. I know we could not have done it without her help.

    Also she loaned us her husband as our bartender, and he did a knock-out job as well! : ) We strongly recommend using Mandi for any event planning you have in the future.

    I found Mandi at the last minute after having a bad experience with another planner, and I could not be happier. My husband and I live in San Diego and planned a Carmel wedding. We were finding much of what we needed to do was very difficult from a distance and that there were many things we simply didn't know and for which we needed guidance. Mandi and I spoke on the phone several times during the week and met for the first time at the reception venue just before the rehearsal. By that time my husband and I had done most everything ourselves, but still needed to wrap up a lot of little details and had many, many, many questions about how to do so. Mandi is a superb listener. She understood everything I asked of her. I never had to repeat a detail or name. She helped me understand what I needed to do to accomplish those last details. She executed everything perfectly and even went beyond what we asked for to make it better! She was very calm and nearly invisible, yet ever present like an invisible hand. I had become very stressed leading up to the wedding, but was able to relax as soon as I met Mandi. She made my wedding day a pleasure as I was able to delegate everything that remained to be done to her and actually enjoy being a bride. My husband felt the same. At one point near the end of our reception, I asked him if we should let her go home and he said he was afraid he'd panic if she wasn't there anymore! I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!

    They took care of all the decorations and florals for my wedding and they were able to offer my various options in order to fit my budget. They were always communicating with me to let me know the status of everything going on and took care of everything the day of even though my event was in San Francisco. I did all my communication by email or phone since I was not close to them but that did not cause any issue. I trusted them 100%. I felt at ease and it was one less thing to worry about that day. I would definitely work with them again and I have already recommended them to a friend who will also be getting married this coming June!

    We were so grateful to have Mandi as our day of coordinator for our wedding! We brought her on with relatively short notice, hiring her about 2 months before the day and even with that amount of prep time she took multiple coordination calls with us, organized vendors, set up schedules, everything you would hope to have coordinated. The peace of mind she brought to the day was extraordinary, and she truly went above and beyond to make it a perfect day. Our venue’s wedding team was a bit lacking when it came to coordination, so having Mandi there to fill in the gaps and keep things organized was well worth the price of her services.     We hired Mandi for the Day of Wedding coordinator. We met a couple times prior so she could capture the vision for our special day. She was very enthusiastic and professional from start to finish. Wedding day, she jumped in when we had a few added task and made them happen when another vendor did not do as planned. Because of her professionalism I hired her to help with other events and have been pleased every time.
