Rhett is an amazing hair and makeup artist. He was kind, profession, and did a great job with hair and makeup for myself and the entire wedding party (who all had very different complexions and hair types). We had rain off and on throughout the wedding day and took outdoor photos while it was misting. Despite all that, our hair and makeup looked perfect throughout the evening (even after a couple hours on the dance floor). Rhett was very flexible as we had to make changes to the hair and makeup timeline and made sure that everything ran on schedule the day of. I would absolutely recommend him to friends planning a wedding in Charlottesville/Richmond.A More Beautiful You's reply:

Rhett did hair and makeup for both brides and bridesmaids at our wedding. He was friendly, professional, efficient, and flexible. Our wedding morning ran smoothly and was such a fun experience! Our hair and makeup was beautiful for both photos and in person and lasted all day. He executed our visions for hair and makeup and made us feel comfortable. Marci and Rhett of A More Beautiful You (AMBY) were great to work with! Rhett was our main stylist/communicator--he was flexible and responsive with my inquiry and subsequent questions regarding booking services for myself and 5 bridesmaids for an August 2025 wedding. We were able to do a trial run, and he did a fantastic job making alterations where needed for the ceremony look. Everything held up perfectly, and I felt natural and beautiful! Rhett made conversation with each of us but was calm, easy-going and focused the whole morning. Rhett delivered beautiful looks for all of us, and he was so fun to hang out with! We would definitely recommend AMBY! -

Perfect natural glam
My bridesmaids and I loved working with Rhett and Josephine! They did such a great job tailoring everyone's hair and makeup to each person's style while also creating a cohesive vibe. Rhett nailed the more natural look I wanted to fit with our outdoor ceremony - the trial was great, but Rhett made a few tweaks the day of based on my feedback to make it even more perfect. They also did a great job doing the hair and makeup for my husband's mother and my mother. I'm so happy we hired A More Beautiful You! -

As a wedding planner, it is so important to work with an A+ vendor team, and whenever clients are on the hunt for a wonderful styling team, I jump at the opportunity to recommend Marci and Rhett of A More Beautiful You (AMBY!) I first connected with Rhett about 5 years ago when she jumped in to save the day for a client whose stylist cancelled last minute. Ever since then, the AMBY team is at the top of my vendor list for styling. Truly made me feel special!
I loved working with Angi! I highly recommend you doing a trial run first, because we were able to spend a lot more time experimenting with different looks so that I felt much more comfortable on the wedding day. Angi did my hair & makeup as well as two of my bridesmaids and did touch-ups for my groom. She is so down to earth and made us feel really comfortable. One of the most important things to note is that the hair and makeup lasted the whole night! Truly grateful for Angi. -

After completing my makeup and hair trial with Marci, I was nothing but excited to see her on my wedding day. Not only did she and Rae provide flawless, detailed work to me and my bridal party, but they made it feel like we were just a group of friends catching up while doing so. This may have done more than anything else to help ease my nerves as I prepared to walk down the aisle. For a group of wildly different hair types and facial features, the AMBY team made each woman feel special and beautiful . Highly Recommend Marci & Her Team!
Oh my gosh, my group of bridesmaids and I absolutely adored Marci and her team at A More Beautiful You! Marci is a great communicator and was in contact with me from the moment I chose her until the big day. She did my hair & makeup trial before I took my engagement photos and she did an incredible job! Marci and Jeanne were incredible on the day of the wedding. They made the group feel at ease and made getting ready for the big day SO much fun! I felt like I was in good hands the whole time with them. Deciding who to do your hair & makeup on one of the most important days of your life is a big decision... but trust me when I say you won't go wrong with A More Beautiful You! I can't thank Marci enough for making me beautiful on my wedding day. And all my bridesmaids too! She even last minute was able to fit in my mother and my mother-in-law. :) She was organized, kept us on schedule, and was so amazing and friendly! From the start, the team at A More Beautiful You (AMBY) was super responsive with my inquiry and subsequent questions regarding booking the services for myself (bride) and 2 bridesmaids for a July 2021 wedding. Once Rae was assigned as the stylist for both hair and makeup, she was quick to get in contact with me to discuss my look. During the wedding day, Rae delivered beautiful looks for all of us, and was calm, easygoing, and overall we just enjoyed hanging out with her! Would definitely recommend AMBY. -

Absolutely Wonderful!
I had the best experience with A More Beautiful You for my wedding. Marci did hair/make up for me, my two bridesmaids, and my mom on my wedding day. She is so pleasant to work with and does a wonderful job! She arrived on time to our wedding venue and was set up, ready to go very quickly. We were really impressed with her skill. Leading up to the wedding she was easy to communicate with and schedule trials with for both myself and my mom. I very highly recommend her to anyone and everyone! -

Rae and Marci were amazing!
Working with Marci and her stylist Rae was great! Marci was very responsive and on top of it whenever I needed to set up an appointment or had questions. I was initially worried about whether my makeup would look too extreme because I don’t wear much makeup usually but Marci made me and my bridesmaids look natural and beautiful and brought to life each of our visions for our hair and makeup. They were also just very stress free which you want on your wedding day; they were calm, receptive, professional, showed up on time etc so I definitely would recommend them I thought they did a great job and I just didn’t have to worry about anything with them. -

Angi did such a fantastic job on myself, my mom, and my sister’s hair and makeup for my wedding! Had a summertime wedding and even cried 3 times prior to the actual ceremony (good tears, I promise) and everything stayed in place! I also have very problematic skin but Angi was very patient with airbrushing not only my face and neck but also my chest, back, shoulders, and arms to make sure my blemishes were covered. Thank you! -

Despite us eloping on a weekday, I still wanted some things that "bridal," which included keeping the full look a surprise from my partner. Marci was the only vendor willing to travel for a single hair and make-up application. Despite us not doing a trial, she listened closely to my feedback and we ended up with a spectacular look that really fit the bridal feel I was going for. She did a great job with the airbrush make-up and I felt comfortable in my skin all day.A More Beautiful You's reply:

For my wedding in May, we used A more Beautiful You for hair and some makeup. Elizabeth Corle was our Artist and she did an absolutely amazing job. Everyone’s hair and makeup was perfect and she stuck around to do final touch-ups. She was on time, was on schedule, and supper easy to work with! I was nervous that I did not do a trial run, but Elizabeth took my inspiration and worked her magic. I especially like that she was willing to come out to my venue so that we didn’t have to leave all day. I would definitely use Elizabeth again in the future. -

Marci did an incredible job on my hair, eyelashes and airbrush makeup for my wedding day. I never felt so beautiful and she gave me exactly what I had asked for. I also had two trials with Marci before the wedding so that I could figure out how I wanted to have my hair done. I loved the both the makeup and the hair on the day of the wedding, and received a ton of compliments! You also have the option to pay a little more and have Marci stay for touch-ups after the ceremony, which was totally worth it. -

I had never had airbrush make-up done before and let me tell you, it is exactly what you want for your wedding day, especially if you are not a big make-up person. It is so light that you feel like you've got nothing on, yet when you look in the mirror, you see absolutely perfectly smooth skin looking back at you! She did make-up trials on both my mother and myself and was flexible with all the changes and requests we made between those and the wedding. And on the day of the wedding, Marci and her team were incredibly efficient but thorough with making up all the girls of the bridal party, plus both moms. Everyone loved the airbrush and we all looked incredibly beautiful :)
I also had Marci do some tattoo coverage for a very large, dark tattoo on my back that peaked out of my dress. It didn't end up staying on throughout the evening, but it was perfectly covered through the ceremony, which was all that mattered to my mother! I'm sure had the tattoo been smaller, it wouldn'tve even rubbed off, but it covered a large area directly where my dress hit, so it was constantly being rubbed. It also could've had something to do with the fact that I shaved the area (during the trial, it was unshaved and the peach fuzz stood up like crazy) and the make-up didn't have much to grasp on to! Either way, my mother was happy with the coverage and that's all that mattered! -

I would highly recommend A More Beautiful You, without any hesitation! I got my hair and make-up done for my wedding, and throughout my entire wedding day, I didn't even feel like I had any makeup on, and it felt like it stayed flawless the entire night! The owner, Marci, is great at what she does, and she is incredibly amiable and trustworthy! -

AMBY did a fantastic job for hair and makeup. I really wanted someone that would come to us, instead of going to a salon. Besides my own hair and makeup, the makeup for all of the bridesmaids and my mother was done. One of the bridesmaids also had her hair done. AMBY were great in letting the costs be split some (I covered all the makeup). The cost was the same and/or better than going to a salon. Elizabeth was our stylist and she was so lovely and skilled! I only had a vague sense of what I wanted for my hair, and no idea for makeup (I don't really wear it). She had great suggestions and her execution was on point, especially in figuring out how to weave my hairpiece into my braid!
