Wedding makeup

Anjelica was AMAZING! She not only did an excellent job on my entire bridal party (all of whom wanted totally different looks), but my bridal makeup was perfect. I was also extremely nervous the morning of my wedding, but Anjelica was so professional but also personable and friendly and totally helped me calm down and enjoy the time! I even have a friend who is getting married next year who asked for her information because she was so impressed with the work. I will DEFINITELY consider her first for any future makeup or skincare needs! THANK YOU!

Great Experience!

Anjelica was great to work with! She did a beautiful job on my makeup and my bridesmaids. I would definitely recommend brides doing her trial make up. It was nice the day of the wedding she new exactly what colors to do because we already did the trial together.

So happy that I chose A Modern Face for my wedding day

I couldn't have been happier with the results from having Anjelica do my makeup for my wedding. She is extremely personable and great at what she does. She really takes into account what you're looking for while also knowing what'll be best for your skin/face type. She did my makeup as well as my bridesmaids and my mother and everyone looked incredible and our makeup lasted all day even in the June heat. Even my husband complimented how great she did and he rarely notices makeup on anyone. He was so worried that I wouldn't look like myself on our wedding day as I usually wear limited makeup, but he was relieved and impressed by Anjelica's talent. I felt fortunate to have been able to book her for my wedding.

She did an amazing job! Makeup lasted all night! I’ve only had lashes done once before and hers were 1000 times better, they were still on the next morning! Couldn’t believe it. I highly recommend her and her awesome personality.

One of the most amazing vendors I worked with!

Anjelica was a dream to work with! She was responsive and had clear communication all the way from the initial inquiries to the day of. She was on time and finished all of my maids and MOB on time (with time to spare, too!). The actual quality of her makeup and skills are to die for and even though she is efficient, she did not skimp out on making everyone look and feel beautiful. Anjelica's personality is so fun, quirky, and by the end of the morning I wanted her to be my best friend. I can not recommend her enough and I hope I get to work with her again for future events!

wow. Wow. WOW! Anjelica did a fantastic job. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. She brought an assistant with her and between the both of them, they finished 5 bridesmaids, mother of the bride and the bride quickly. The makeup lasted all night long and we all received so many compliments. She was worth every penny we spent!

Angelica was wonderful from start to finish. She was open to using my many "Pinsperations" to create a unique custom color palette for my bridal makeup. She traveled to my home and was timely, professional, and fun. Anjelica created 3 unique beautiful looks for myself, my maid of honor, and my 20 something daughter and contributed to the relaxed fun vibe of my wedding morning. The airbrush makeup was flawless but natural looking and lasted all night including the trip home in a snowstorm! Highly recommend booking her, you won't be disappointed.

I can honestly say that booking Anjelica for my wedding day make-up was easily one of the best decisions I've made! She is funny, and personable, and with the talent she has, she puts a lot of big name bridal make-up companies to shame. I have never felt so pretty! She's great with all different skin types and aging skin. My mom literally looked like she was 30 again! The make-up REALLY stays too! I was married in August, it rained, and I slept in it and in the morning I still looked like I just stepped down from the chair. Book A Modern Face... you will not regret it!

Anjelica from A Modern Face came referred from Hairspray Revolution. I am so glad I took her referral, my makeup was amazing! I was a bit nervous, considering the last time I had my makeup done, I looked like a clown. My skin looked beautiful and glowing and the makeup stayed through my tears!

Anjelica did make up for a total of 7 people on my wedding day. Everyone looked beautful! Most of my bridesmaids weren't planning on having their make up done, but after seeing the first few people finished, everyone changed their minds! Anjelica was awesome about being able to do make up for the rest of the bridal party at the last minute. Wonderful personality to work with! Loved the way that everything turned out.

Where do I start? On your wedding day of all days you want to feel beautiful! Anjelica made me STUNNING! When I left my trial I knew that I would have no worries on my wedding day. Not to mention how flexible she was to meet with me around 7 pm and I also got lost getting to her shop and was late. In the wedding industry good luck finding vendors that are flexible! Anjelica is easy to talk to and her work on me as well as my girls and some other wedding patrons was wonderful. I couldn't be happy with her services. She is very knowledgeable and is the type of professional that will be honest with you about what looks good on your skin type and will help you craft what will look best on your wedding day. First I would like to say that Angelica is as the word implicates "an angel"! I absolutely loved the way I felt on my wedding day! She is amazing at what she does! The day of my trial I loved the look she gave me. On my wedding day she asked if she could make a few subtle changes and I agreed. I looked absolutely amazing!!! I never felt so beautiful in my life and never received so many compliments on how stunning I looked! All of the girls in my wedding looked equally beautiful!! Anjelica was absolutely wonderful to work with. First of all, I loved that she was so responsive and easy to get a hold of. For the trial, she did my makeup along with my mom and two sisters. I wasn't too sure about my eye makeup and so I texted her and we discussed some other options. I made another appointment with her that week and she redid my eye makeup which I loved. The day of the wedding, she got through me, my mom, and 4 bridesmaids in a breeze. The makeup looked great on everyone. I'm still waiting for my professional pictures but there is not a doubt in mind that the makeup looks flawless in the pictures. I recommend her to anyone that has an upcoming wedding. I used A Modern Face for my wedding in October 2011, Trash the Dress session in November 2011, and my Bump pictures in August 2012. Anjelica did an AMAZING job with everything and was very friendly and professional. I even used my trial for the wedding the night of the bachelorette party to test the durability of the makeup. It stayed on all night and didn't even smudge or come off! Also it was 84 degrees the day of the wedding and again the makeup didn't budge. It looked fabulous from the time it was done until I took it off. I would recommend A Modern Face to everyone who wants a flawless and beautiful face for their special event:)

I loved Anjelica as my makeup artist! She did my entire bridal party (7 adults and 3 children).
She put me at ease while I was getting ready for my day. She laughed with us and kept the atmosphere light and stress free.
She took all of my opinions seriously and made sure I looked exactly how I wanted, but better!

I found her on the Internet and was a little nervous, but the first time I talked to her felt like I was talking to an old friend.
I would absolutely recommend A Modern Face to any bride.

Anjelica was fantastic from the very beginning. I had a disastrous trial at a beauty salon and knew that I had to find someone that really knew what they were doing and that's how I found Anjelica. I contacted her a mere month before the wedding and she was able to take on the wedding because she is the ultimate professional. She came to the house at 7 in the morning. All the girls in my bridal party that had makeup done by Anjelica looked amazing. She was prompt in her communication, from email, to phone, to text. She truly cares about brides and that they feel beautiful on their wedding day. I spoke with a Myriad of Make up artists and I was very frustrated! Either the prices were ridiculous or the were not able to give me the look I wanted on my wedding day!!!!
When I thought that I would not find I was looking for in a makeup artist that is when I got a response from Anjelica !

I was skeptical at first because My mother is puerto rican and my father is black so my skin tone is a combination of a unique color I knew it would be a challenge for her besides that, I am very picky with my makeup. I have been everywhere from Ulta, Lancome, Fashion Fair To Mac and I have not been completely satisified!

I wanted airbrush makeup for my wedding day and that was important to me. I met with Anjelica for my Trial Run and I was blown away she did not get offended when I did not like the first run she did on my face. The colors were wrong and I did not like how my eyes looked she took everything off NEVER ONCE did she complain or get offended she tried something different and it was Breath Taking!!!!!!!!!!

My wedding day she duplicated the same look she arrived at 9am on the DOT she finished my makeup and I almost cried I looked flawless...

Anjelica thank you for using your talent and creativity to make me into a beautiful bride. Everyone said how beautiful I looked and I felt like a Princess.

Anjelica is Professional, Talented, Sweet, Approachable and she makes you feel like you are her only Client. Her prices are Very Reasonable and she Truly has a passion for what she does she is a True Makeup Artist - This woman has mastered her skill! And get this before she left the Bridal Suite she gave me a sample of the lip gloss I was wearing + an applicator to touch up my lips all day!

From this day forward no one will ever do my make up again, if your name isnt Anjelica then you wont do my makeup - Period!

I hired Anjelica to provide airbrush makeup for me, my bridesmaids and my mother. She did such an amazing job! Before arriving onsite to our wedding site to do our makeup at our wedding location at Sandcreek Country Club in Chesterton, IN, on Aug. 29, we scheduled a trial session in her home. I was very specific about the look I wanted and Anjelica was completely on target about the look. She went above and beyond my expectations. When I looked in the mirror, I felt so beautiful and amazing! I honestly felt like a movie star! At the time, I did not have a hairstylist, but she recommended someone who did an absolutely and equal fantastic job. When they arrived to do our makeup on the day of our wedding, Anjelica and the hairstylist she recommended arrived on time and made every singe one of us feel like movie stars. I have never felt so beautiful in my life. My wedding party feels the same way. I absolutely would love for Anjelica and her friend Corrine to be my ongoing stylists moving forward. I know all my friends and mother feel the same way. If you live in NW, Indiana or Chicago, do not look elsewhere, Anjelica is by far the most affordable, the most talented, and the easiest makeup artist to get along with in the area. Trust me, I contacted several airbrush artists and hairstylist in Indiana and Chicago, and so many of them were pretentious and way overpriced. A Modern Face is by far the best choice I could have ever made for my makeup; I am so happy with the way my wedding turned out and Anjelica made me look hot!! Jocelyn

I searched around for a makeup artist in my area who would travel to me on my wedding day. I got in touch with a few, but I felt their prices of $155 and up were just too expesive. Others said "$50 for a trial and $75-$100 or more for the day of"...What does that even mean?! I need a SET PRICE ahead of time! Not a surprise amount due when i got the bill...When I found Anjelica's website, I was THRILLED to see her prices were not only set, but they were cheaper AND she airbrushed!

I got my trial and my wedding day makeup done for one awesome price. No
run-around about it. She even had her own line of products for anyone to purchase (like lip gloss and such) so we would have that for touch-ups after food or drinking. I thought that was really cool. She gave me a group discount for my bridal party too! I had 4 others and myself who all planned to get their makeup done.

However, the day of the wedding, 4 more of the girls (including my mom) had a last-minute decision to get theirs done. It was obvious after they saw how great she was, they were sold. Anjelica was so professional and calm about the last minute added work. We looked perfect for the day. Don't ask me how she did it, but she finished all 9 of faces in less than 3 hours!

To top it all off, my makeup lasted ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT! The only thing I had to touch-up was my lip gloss...and yes, I bought it from Anjelica for only $7.00. It was a very wonderful experience. I would (and have) HIGHLY recommend her to anyone that's in need of a makeup artist for any reason. Trust me, you won't regret it!!!

Angelica was fantastic! Very responsive, and up front about costs, timing, expectations, etc. Most importantly, everyone looked beautiful (and our makeup lasted all day, which is saying a lot in August)! I was a little concerned that we were going to have time issues with so many girls needing makeup. We talked about adding another makeup artist, but Angelica carefully reviewed the time frame and requests, and assured me we would be on schedule. Wow, did she know her stuff. We were done almost exactly at the time she thought we would be, and no one felt rushed at all. She really listened to what each girl wanted and delivered accordingly. Unfortunately for me, I had one of the worst breakouts of my life the morning before the wedding, and you 100% could not tell in any of my pictures. That alone is enough for me to recommend Angelica's services to everyone! She's nice, professional, and extremely talented. So glad I found her!

Anjelica immediately puts you at ease and makes it a priority to get to know you to get a feel for the look you're after for your special day. She doesn't hesitate to offer her professional opinion in an appropriate way to help you achieve an even better version of you (note - you, not some other woman that your friends & family won't recognize). She was totally fine taking feedback from me and my mom for changes, took copious notes during our trial to help ensure she was able to repeat the look the day of. Anjelica was great to work with and her skills were amazing. I loved my make-up and the rest of my party looked wonderful too!

Working with Anjelica was a pleasure! She was extremely creative, flexible, and talented. I wanted a very natural look, and she works well with this aesthetic. She only uses products that are safe for sensitive skin, like mine, and she works with airbrush makeup that stands up through extremely hot weather! I had my trial at her house, and she was easy to talk to and helped to make the process fun. On the day of the wedding, the airbrush machine was malfunctioning, and Anjelica was a champ! She ran out to buy a new system and finished the day strong, completing makeup for over seven of us! I would definitely recommend her for anyone looking for a natural, affordable, lasting, and classic look on their wedding day.
