We couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our wedding reception than DJ Brevin. We got his information from a wedding he DJed at in Mackinac Island. From the outset, he showed an exceptional understanding of our vision, seamlessly blending Arabic, American, Bengali, and Indian music to create an unforgettable fusion of cultures on the dance floor.
Throughout the planning process, DJ Brevin followed our requests to a T, ensuring that as a couple, our wants, needs, and requests were kept at the forefront for the entire night. Despite our meticulous demands and constant stream of requests for specific samples and tracks, DJ Brevin remained patient and attentive, ensuring that every detail met our exacting standards.
As a couple with discerning musical tastes, we had high expectations, and DJ Brevin exceeded them in every way. His expertise in beat matching and profound knowledge of music ensured a smooth flow of tracks throughout the entire event, catering to both sides of our diverse guest list. The sound system was impeccable, and the uplighting he provided transformed the ambiance of the room.
During our wedding, many vendors fell short, but DJ Brevin stood out for his professionalism, dedication, and ability to go above and beyond. We are immensely grateful for his contribution to our special day and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone seeking an exceptional DJ experience. Our guests still rave about the incredible music and how fun the dance floor was.

Brevin was amazing as the DJ for our wedding in October. Not only was he helpful in walking through the timeline/music choices, but he LITERALLY kept the party going all night. He works with you throughout the evening to make sure everything is going how you want, but he doesn't bother you and add additional stress to the night. I 100% recommend Brevin to anyone and everyone. -

It was so much fun and everyone knows that your DJ can make or break your wedding reception. Well mine was definitely a success! Thanks DJ Brevin! -

Rebecca Sent on 08/14/2010Dancehall DJ's was very easy to work with from the beginning. However, they were somewhat of a disappointment when it came to my wedding. I sent them an excel spreadsheet of all my music requests for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception 2 months prior to my wedding. At that time they said everything would be taken care of. 3 days before my wedding (when I was already on Mackinac Island and unable to access a computer) they called to tell me they couldn't open my spreadsheet! (yes, the one I sent 2 months ago!) I had to find a hotel with internet access to get the spreadsheet and resend it to them. Not the kind of stress I needed 3 days before my wedding. The day of the wedding he showed up on time with all necessary equipment and even re-set up at the ceremony site when we had a rain delay. However, during the ceremony he played the wrong song for the bridal party processional and had to be instructed by one of the groomsmen to change to the correct one. Then the version of the song I had requested that he downloaded had clapping and cheering at the end of it, not the version I wanted. It made for an interesting walk for the bridal party. Other than that, he played the correct songs the rest of the night. I had heard such great reviews about this DJ before I booked him and was very excited to have him as my DJ, but for my wedding I was somewhat disappointed in the mishaps that should not have occured. -
User2289872 Sent on 08/28/2015Brevin is voted one of the best in Michigan - so we booked him based on that. He was great about playing our first dance song (which was not easy to find), but other than that - I don't feel like he really listened to what we wanted. I understand he is the professional on the DJ topic - but I sent him certain artists/songs we wanted played and not played, and I don't think he paid much attention to it. We also had guests during the wedding tell us he wasn't playing the songs they requested. Our last dance song was also pre-selected, and he started it out as a completely different song, so I had to ask him to change it. He just didn't seem to be thrilled to be working our wedding - I understand all weddings are the same to the DJ's, but it was still disappointing. I would recommend him because he is convenient and his fees are all inclusive, but just make sure you really communicate what you want.
