Stop your search. A Gala Affair is amazing. Incredible people who genuinely care and provide above and beyond service and florals.
Choosing A Gala Affair was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.
From the very beginning, it was clear we were working with not only incredibly talented florists, but people who genuinely care about their couples. Deb and her team took the time to meet with us on video calls to talk through ideas, thoughtfully brought our vision to life, and even walked through our venue with us to ensure every detail was carefully planned.
They also clearly invested a significant amount of time into creating beautiful, thoughtful proposals for us. They even provided a detailed breakdown of the specific flower varieties they planned to use, how those flowers would hold up in our August weather, why they were a great fit, and how they tied into our overall theme. Each proposal included photos that perfectly matched our vision, easy-to-read breakdowns, options that aligned with our budget, and additional ideas to elevate certain areas even further. This made it incredibly easy for us to make decisions and truly visualize how everything would come together. Deb and her team created several renditions of our proposal along the way and were extremely patient throughout the entire process.
One thing that meant so much to us was how they collaborated with my grandmother, who is a florist herself and really wanted to be a part of our day in that way. It wasn’t always easy, but Deb handled it with so much patience, kindness, and flexibility, and helped us honor something that was really important to our family.
On the wedding day, they went completely above and beyond anything we expected. Deb came in with her full team and absolutely transformed the entire venue. They built us a stunning broken arbor that created the perfect backdrop for our ceremony, and designed incredible cascading florals at our outdoor bar. When we chose the venue, the reception space felt a bit bland, but they completely elevated it with gorgeous centerpieces and a beautifully designed sweetheart table. Every space felt intentional, cohesive, and thoughtfully brought together.
Despite the brief rain, they stayed to ensure everything remained perfect—including keeping all of the outdoor candles lit, which speaks volumes about their dedication. We purchased a custom neon sign of our last name separately and rented a boxwood backdrop from them, and they seamlessly set everything up together for us. It was a huge hit, with guests constantly taking photos in front of it throughout the night.
The quality of the flowers was unbelievable—fresh, vibrant, and absolutely stunning. Our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how beautiful everything looked. Deb and her team also did an amazing job tying in our powder blue and gold theme throughout every detail—from the florals themselves to the candles, vases, and overall design elements.
Beyond their talent, Deb and her team are just amazing people. What started as working with a vendor truly turned into building a friendship, which made the experience even more special.
We cannot recommend A Gala Affair enough. If you’re looking for a florist who will go above and beyond, genuinely care about your day, and create something unforgettable, this is your team. -

I had the absolute best experience working with Deb and Debbie at A Gala Affair for my wedding florals and decor. From the very beginning, they were incredibly detail-oriented and truly listened to everything I wanted. They were very thoughtful about working within my budget while still bringing my vision to life in the most beautiful way.
We had several planning calls throughout the process, and they were always patient, organized, and full of great ideas. They made what could have been a stressful part of wedding planning feel easy and collaborative.
Even with all the planning we did, I was still completely overwhelmed with joy when I saw how everything came together on the day of the wedding. The flowers were stunning and exceeded my expectations in every way. Deb and Debbie clearly care so much about their work and their couples, and it truly shows.
I can’t recommend A Gala Affair enough to any couple looking for a florist who is talented, professional, and genuinely invested in making your day perfect.

Deb and her team are so much more than florists, they really take time and effort to create an entire event. With less than 2 months lead time, A Gala Affair managed to put together the romantic vibe I was looking for. Jill made wonderful suggestions that I would not have considered myself but they turned out to really make our wedding extra special and memorable. They also worked with me to transfer bouquets from the ceremony to the reception to keep the costs reasonable. On the day of the wedding, Deb and her team worked tirelessly to ensure a perfect execution of our vision, including an impeccable breakdown of everything after the wedding was over.I highly recommend A Gala Affair for an exceptional wedding or event, they are true professionals. -

I cannot say enough wonderful things about A Gala Affair and their incredible team! From start to finish, they went above and beyond to make my wedding floral dreams come true. We met and had phone calls multiple times before the big day, and they created a fantastic proposal that was beautifully detailed.
At first, I envisioned all-white flowers and greenery, but I later decided on a vibrant summer floral theme. They embraced my change of heart effortlessly and brought my vision to life in ways I couldn't have imagined. Guests couldn’t stop raving about the florals, with many saying they were the best they had ever seen!
The A Gala Affair team was amazing as well, setting up everything perfectly before the ceremony and wedding. They even moved arrangements to the reception so that every moment felt fresh and gorgeous. The attention to detail was impeccable—there were flowers everywhere! From cocktail trays to the cake, every corner was beautifully adorned.

A Magical French Garden Reception! Oui! Oui!
There are no words to describe how amazing Deb and her team are. They are so professional, creative & caring. The bridal bouquets, the table center pieces and all the beautiful flower decor/draping at the reception were "out of this world" gorgeous! The best part was the "Take Away Bouquet" Flower Bar at the end of the night. Deb and her team deconstructed the flower centerpieces towards the end of the reception and prepared HUGE bouquets at the "Flower Bar" station for my guests to take home. It was such a lovely surprise gift to send our guests home with! We had been told by everyone that the flowers (and smiles) lasted almost 2 weeks after the wedding! Deb brought our Versailles inspired French Garden Wedding Reception fantasy to life & we will be forever grateful! Thank you!! -

There truly are not words to express how amazing A Gala Affair is. Deb and her team are brilliantly talented, creative, hard working, empathetic… the list goes on. Going into wedding planning, I was most excited about choosing the florals and knew I wanted them to be the focal point of our day’s decor/aesthetic. My expectations were sky high. Our caterer recommended a list of folks, and when I saw Deb’s website I loved the variety in the types of arrangements she creates. We had our first phone consultation, and her attention to detail and thoughtful questions sold me. Deb and I worked closely together over my year and a half long engagement to perfect my vision. I was admittedly a type A perfectionist bride, and the only person more dedicated to my wedding florals than me was Deb. She created multiple detailed proposals for me and adapted as my preferences changed over 18 months. By the time the wedding came, I was confident that she and her team were going to execute my vision perfectly. And not only did they nail it, they went above and beyond what I could have possibly imagined. I will never forget the moment I walked into our venue for the first time and saw it all set up - it literally brought me to tears! Everything from the table centerpieces, to our hanging tent installation, to the bouquets were better than all of my inspiration photos on Pinterest. Deb truly executed my vision perfectly, and she was able to do so because of the countless hours she spent working to get to know me, my taste, and my dreams for the day. She even became good friends with my mom, which is just a testament to how much she truly cares for her brides! A Gala Affair was by far the best vendor decision of our entire wedding. Deb’s talent and artistry is one of a kind, and I will always remember how amazing she was to work with. -

Unforgettable Wedding Florals!
Deb was so amazing throughout the whole floral process for my June wedding. We immediately hit it off on a personal level, and Deb was so helpful and quick to respond to all of my questions over the 1 year+ of planning. She revised the quote many times in order to make it perfect and truly made my vision come to life. I still have guests telling me how our flowers were some of the most beautiful they’ve ever seen! I highly recommend A Gala Affair. -

Highly recommend Deborah and the whole team with A Gala Affair! I planned my whole wedding as a PICU night shift nurse during COVID all the way from Maryland- and the flowers were a huge priority for me. It was definitely terrifying to trust someone so far away (especially being such a type A person), but working with A Gala Affair from afar was amazing. They totally understood my vision and was extremely responsive to my millions of questions and changes, especially the two weeks leading up to the wedding. My flowers ended up being absolutely breathtaking and my guests still can't stop talking about how beautiful the event was. Deborah even surprised me with a preserved gardenia in my bouquet to honor my late Nana which I was able to keep after the wedding (her favorite flower)- this alone should show you how amazing this vendor is! The bouquets, arrangements and extra flowers throughout my venue were more than I could have ever expected! I could not be more grateful for the amazing service, wonderful staff, and stunning flowers and decor they put together for us. Thank you Deb and A Gala Affair for the best day of my life! -

Truly amazing experience

Deborah REALLY cares about her clients!
Deborah was fantastic! I had a vision and she made sure to check that her craft and available inventory followed that vision for our special day. Because of Covid I had an indoor/outdoor plan depending on weather and she assured me that she could make it work for both scenarios. under a potentially short set-up time frame, she insisted she’s make it work. And when colors came in different than we anticipated, she sprayed leaves the color I wanted. Everything came together so beautifully it was everything I Imagined. But overall, it was Devorah herself who was so kind, took so much care and was such a pleasure to work with. -

Deb and her staff are absolutely amazing! From the first meeting, to the day of, everything was fantastic. Great communication on top of the most beautiful flowers. My wife was very picky/detailed on how she wanted our centerpieces and Deb made her feel completely at ease with her capability to make sure her vision became reality. Absolutely magical flowers and decorations!
Working with Deborah to pinpoint the look we wanted for our wedding flowers and venue was a fantastic experience. We knew we wanted a clean, romantic look, weren't sure of much else. Deb took our vague direction and turned it into a gorgeous reality. She was so communicative and made our venue look like a dream--so many of our friends and family reached out after the fact to tell us that it was one of the most beautiful weddings they'd ever seen. Planning a micro wedding, during a pandemic, short notice, was not easy but Deb took away alot of that stress! From start to finish she made things super easy. What set her apart from other florists was that her pricing is not “one size fits all”. She sent over a list of examples/prices and let us choose exactly what we wanted.
She did a beautiful job and we would definitely recommend her to anyone! -

Perfection at Compass Rose
Deb is AMAZING! I am one of those people who spent months researching vendors and Deb/A Gala Affair came highly recommended. She met with my fiancé and I and listened to exactly what we wanted. I was able to give her a vision (Thank You Pinterest) and a budget and she made our wedding the most beautiful day we could have ever asked for! She even had a lookbook for us to see exactly what things would look like!
She is very responsive to questions and concerns and was always quick to get back to us (something that’s very much appreciated during that stressful time!).
Deb was so helpful the day of our wedding. I had forgotten to tell her we needed flowers for my flower girls (I realized this right before I was walking down to the ceremony!). She was amazing and within what seemed like seconds had flower petals for us!

Deborah has designed and created the most beautiful backdrop to our annual museum gala for the last 3 years. This is our largest and most important fundraiser of the year and her creativity never disappoints. She has an amazing way of pulling it all together no matter what theme we give her and she always comes in on budget. Beautiful details
I couldn’t be happier with the floral that Deborah put together for my wedding! She was very easy to work with - I kept changing my preferences for floral and greenery type and she made sure that everything was perfect and just as I asked for. She provided a lot of pictures and dialogue to help guide my decisions which was very helpful for an indecisive bride! In the end, she made beautiful bouquets, centerpieces, a eucalyptus arch and drapery for my venue stairway.
I recommend her especially for weddings in Southeast CT! -

With only weeks before my wedding she was able to create the perfect Boquets for my wedding. She was very accomadating to my situation and communicative. Once i recieved pictures of my boquets and then seen them in person i was thrilled. They were perfect for my dream day!!!

Tara Sent on 02/25/2018Debby made our wedding the most beautiful night of our lives! She took a collection of photos and ideas and created an absolutely stunning bohemian vibe for us.
The flowers were hand designed and included little accents of thistles, a personal touch that meant the world to us. She also made the bouts, bouquets, and wristlets for the bridal party and family and presented them on beautiful trays. She put together an incredible center piece for our ceremony with a flower garland over an arbor, macrame pieces, and coordinating aisle decorations. The tables were designed with high and low flower arrangements in glass vases and surrounded by votives and candles. The whole room looked like a lush green magical garden, which is an accomplishment for a February wedding!
Debby took just a few thoughts we had and was able to create a look for the whole evening. She made the day of so easy on us by handling the set up and break down. By the time we arrived to the venue the place had been transformed.
Everything she did felt like it was made especially for us, we could not have imagined a better event design. Amazing job! -

She was able to take my vision and turn it into a reality! She gives her customers her full attention and takes pride in doing a job well done. She was always available and made the process so easy. Even on short notice! I hired her a few weeks before my wedding day and she was able to give me the magical, glamourous and perfect day I had dreamt of since I was a young girl. My heart literally skipped a beat when I walked into the reception. The flowers, candelabras’, mercury vases and tea lights created an amazing ambiance. Of course I cried and she also shed a tear with me. She is very sweet and takes pride in every detail.
As my guest were ushered from the cocktail room to the ballroom every single one of them stopped in their tracks and gasp at the beauty they were coming into. We received many compliments from them. Everyone kept saying “This is beautiful” and “It looks like something out of a movie”. I couldn’t have been happier.
Deborah’s ideas and creativity are something that EVERYONE should experience at their event! I will continue to recommend her in the future.

Kristen Sent on 09/30/2017Deborah made decorating our wedding at the Mystic Aquarium fun and stress-free! All of our planning was done from out of state, so it was great to not have to worry about a thing, and to have someone from the area to help us. We told her that we wanted to bring everything to the next level, and she definitely did that! We started by meeting with Deborah so that we could start working out a vision. I am not the best at visualizing designs, but Deborah was amazing at taking the bits and pieces that I came up with, and turned it into a truly beautiful design. She gave multiple options for everything, and gave suggestions when asked. She was very flexible if we changed our minds, or came up with a new idea. Prior to the wedding, we met with her for a mock floral arrangement. She listened to every thought I had, and adjusted a couple things for the day-of. Since she was making everything so stress-free, we decided to do our welcome bags through A Gala Affair. Everything in the bag was local (Deborah picked everything up the day-of so that it was fresh!), and she delivered everything to the hotels so that we wouldn't have to deal with anything that weekend. She texted me throughout the weekend so that I knew all bags were delivered. Deborah truly transformed the Mystic Aquarium for our wedding. She went above and beyond for us, and was able to assess situations during setup and change things so that it would look the best possible. The flowers at the wedding were extremely high quality, and the arrangements were beautiful. All of our guests commented on how amazing the flowers were, and could not believe the attention to detail throughout the entire venue. The decor and flowers made it look so elegant, however, did not take away from the Aquarium itself. I would highly recommend working with A Gala Affair! I wish she would come to New Jersey to decorate any future events that we have!

I highly recommend gala affair. I told Deborah my vision of fall colors and free form bouquets. Deborah and her team made my vision come to life. We got so many compliments on the beautiful Flowers. I would highly recommend A Gala Affair for any weddings or events. Deborah and her team were easy to work with, very communicative, and flexible when our ideas changed slightly or we wanted to bounce ideas around. She executed our vintage-inspired vision for our wedding without going too over-the-top with it, and keeping it extremely elegant and classic. I cannot stop raving about my trailing bridal bouquet, it was something of a dream! Another stand-out moment was presenting the bouquets for myself and my bridesmaids and maid of honor in beautiful trunks. It made me tear up! They were also very helpful in working with us to use some of our ceremony bouquets as decorations in vases for the reception, to utilize the beautiful flowers as much as possible. I thank them for being so understanding in working with our budget! It was a pleasure to have her and her company be a part of our day and we cannot thank them enough. -
