After a perfect experience with our eldest daughter's wedding in 2015, we contracted with them again for our younger daughter's "winter wonderland" marriage on 12/3/16. I think the #1 concern in choosing a caterer is the quality and presentation of the food. Roger scores 100% in this area based on guest comments during the evening, as well as numerous congratulatory e-mail messages with specific compliments on menu items which we received in the days following. If you are the parents of the bride you might find you have no memory of eating at event because of nervousness and time passing in a whirlwind. But, you will have an opportunity to savor and evaluate Roger's cooking the next day because he seems to provide more than you pay for. We took home enough to put out a small buffet for our overnight guests the following day and it was all still fresh and delicious. Pam is the nicest person you could ever meet and so experienced with events that she naturally helps with questions and details beyond the scope of catering. She never fails to return a phone call or respond to e-mail quickly. We did not hire a wedding planner so her insider advice was very helpful. And, of course, Pam is on site at every event, working magic behind the scenes. Her staff transformed the Stonehall at Miner's Foundry from ceremony layout to a beautiful dining room while our guests were enjoying cocktails and appetizers. The dinner buffet tables were gorgeous and guests were served smoothly in a timely manner. Finally, if you are comparison shopping, I think you will find "A Family Affair" prices to be reasonable and competitive with other vendors.

A Family Affair has catered two weddings for our family. The food is exceptional, the staff is proficient, and their service exceeded our expectations. Several guests raved over how wonderful the food was (both weddings!). Many people requested the name of our caterer so they can use them for their event. We highly recommend A Family Affair for all your catering needs!A Family Affair has catered two weddings for our family. A Family Affair catered our wedding in June 2015. They were very easy to work with and helped us create a custom menu for our BBQ wedding. We had a special Vegan request for a dish and they did not hesitate to take on the challenge by creating a beautiful stuffed bell pepper for our vegan guests. Pam was very friendly during the planning and the food tasted great at the wedding!
We had BBQ Chicken, Tri Tip, and Salmon with bacon mac and cheese (FAVORITE), potato salad, garden salad, sauteed carrots, and fresh french bread. APPs were bacon wrapped jalapenos, caprese, & potstickers. They did not disappoint, everything was DELISH! The only thing I can think of to critique is that I (the bride) didn't get to try the bacon wrapped jalapenos. I wish they would have saved JUST ONE for me :) but i heard from guests that they were one of the best apps of the day.
They setup all our tables, linens and the entire reception area. They were also able to provide bartenders and get all the booze. I don't know what we would have done without them! I definitely recommend A Family Affair catering.A Family Affair catered our wedding in June 2015. They were very easy to work with and helped us create a custom menu for our BBQ wedding.
